Guest Reviews
- Steph762 (10/5): Wonderful overnight stay - Had a fabulous one night stay at the Elveden Inn. The room was comfortable, spotless and modern. Coffee machine was a nice addition. We ate in the inn for dinner and breakfast, both meals delicious and the team were friendly and welcoming. Was a shame we just had the one night but will be back! Thank you to Tim and the team for looking after us.
- jac393 (10/5): Fantastic room & customer service - Absolutely gem of a place.
We booked for an overnight stay last weekend - stayed in the Roe Deer room which is more like a suite. It's huge!!!!
Great luxury experience, super king bed, bathrobes, fluffy towels & toiletries, coffee machine etc.
Evening meal was really tasty & there were plenty of menu choices.
Fantastic customer service especially from Leon. Wouldn't hesitate returning when we get the chance!
- dannybN5139YZ (10/5): Quad biking swimming meals out all brilliant - Fantastic wkend for my 60th bday with family really enjoyable wildlife just outside cabin was better than watching tv don’t hesitate just go
- Mark (10/5): - Friendly, professional staff. Plenty of parking. Great location for travelling by car.
- Trudi (10/5): - Nice stay as usual good food really friendly staff and brilliant food
- Darren (10/5): - Everything was amazing. One of the best UK hotels. Food also excellent.
- Carolyn (10/5): Convenient for Thetford and local sites - Very welcoming staff, lovely room and convenient for visiting family at Center Park. Yummy roast dinner too
- Sharon (10/5): - Service very good food excellent room was spotless
- derek61 (8/5): Lunch Time Meal - Meal with Grandson.
Lunch time meal on a Monday fairly busy. Seated in the bar area . We ordered drinks and meals together. All well presented looked and tasted great. Asked if we could have a fish finger rap instead of a sandwich with they agreed too. We had the main meal of venison meatballs and pasta look fantastic. A fish finger sandwich with very very large tasty granary bread with crips and lettuce, be hungry and like bread. The fish finger rap a better choice due to the thickness of the bread. See pictures of meals. Staff all polite, friendly and helpful.
- Chris (10/5): - A little gem in the country side, lovely clean rooms with modern air con, excellent breakfast with good quality ingredients and a spacious beer garden with very reasonable drink prices
- Rebecca (10/5): - We stayed in the keppel room. An Amazing room and facilities. Loved the complimentary drinks and snacks and the air con was great and unexpected. Well maintained and staff very friendly and helpful.
- Steve (10/5): - Everyone we interacted with were brilliant
- jemma (10/5): - Had a lovely stay with friends at the Elveden Inn after a concert at High Lodge. It made a refreshing change to the travel lodge or premiere Inn. It was really reasonably priced and everything was clean, comfortable and well presented. We were pleasantly surprised to have a lodge to ourselves and the rooms were air conditioned (more than welcome in the heatwave). Lovely touches such as an a Nespresso coffee machine, packets of biscuits and bottles of water. Breakfast was really nice too. All staff were really friendly.highly recommend
- Tracey (10/5): - Fantastic place, staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was excellent, very clean, very spacious. Will definitely be top of my list when i return next year
- Linda (8/5): - Our room was recently refurbished with many nice touches such as air conditioning, coffee machine, ironing board and bottled water. Very clean en-suite shower room too. We also enjoyed all the historical photos in the hotel and learning a little about the history of the Estate.
Unfortunately we thought our room was rather dark with its green painted walls and ceiling. The windows were too small to successfully carry off this effect.
- Craig (10/5): - I was delayed so unfortunately missed Dinner service.
The building is lovely and my room was clean, welcoming and very comfortable.
I use hotels quite often and this is my top stay to date. I’ll look forward to staying here again in the future
- Matthew (10/5): - lovely hotel , rooms are very spacious with comfy beds. Food is excellent with a good range on the menu. Lovely staff aswell which made the experience even better.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Anniversary celebrations - A pleasant night away with good food
Very friendly and helpful staff
A nice room with everything we needed
An enjoyable meal and lovely breakfast
Only one issue , not major but personally do not like constantly being referred to as my darling and similar by waitress
- GEORGIA (8/5): - The location is perfect the staff are very friendly and the food is lovely, however the pillows are far too hard and the green light in the bedroom was too bright making the nights sleep not the best.
- Song (10/5): - very nice!quiet fresh
- RICHARD (10/5): - Near to A11 and Centre parc.
- Richard (10/5): - Nice surroundings staff, clean, room breakfast was great carry on great pub & restaurant thanks
- JONATHAN (8/5): Excellent stay. - Excellent, but disappointing they only serve food until 7.45pm on a Sunday.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Short Stay - Great stay, friendly staff, room and facilities good.
- Christopher (10/5): Lovely night stay at Elveden Inn - Lovely clean room. Had our evening meal brought to the room as we asked and a bottle of wine came in an ice bucket with two champagne flutes really lovely nothing was too much trouble very friendly and helpful staff couldn’t ask for more.

- Phil (10/5): - Good food and comfortable rooms - staff very helpful
- Lorraine (10/5): Lovely stay! - We had a really lovely 1 night stay, it was a beautiful room which was clean, spacious and had complimentary toiletries and biscuits ready on our arrival. The following morning we had the American Buttermilk Pancakes for breakfast which were absolutely delicious and very well priced, there were plenty of other options too. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The only improvements I would mention is that the sink was far too narrow and so I wasn't able to wash my face, there was also a very unpleasant smell of drains when we woke up in the morning, however this did go with time.
- Reece (10/5): - We had a great stay, me and my girlfriend loved the room and the property. Food is great, proper in the countryside and near everything would highly recommend. The staff were also very helpful and kind props to them!
- Gerald (10/5): - Very comfortable, lovely atmosphere. Appreciated being able to control the temperature of our room.
Would have liked a selection of real ale and a wider selection on the breakfast menu.
Will be very happy to visit again.

- Jacob Robert (10/5): - Excellent tesla chargers are very useful
- Richard (10/5): Another Great Stay! - Have stayed here before - so that should be recommendation on its own! Food in the restaurant is great and reasonably priced. We stayed in the Singh room - large comfortable bed, which was great. Room was a little chilly when we first arrived, but soon warmed up when we adjusted the heater. Very convenient for Tesla superchargers! The only slight annoyance - the bathroom bin hadn't been emptied - but no major problem. No doubt we will be back again!
- Daniela (10/5): - Lovely place, clean in the room and the bathroom.🤗
- Loraine (10/5): Best hotel for miles - Beautiful hotel with lovely restaurant and food is excellent. Espresso Martinis the best ever !!!
Could not fault this place so pleased we came across it. We stayed in the Wilson Lodge outside which comprises of two rooms , Wilson and Manwaring. Excellent rooms , spotless. Lovely bathroom with really good shower. All the staff are really helpful and friendly. Will definately stay here again. Annoy recommend this hotel highly enough.
- Sean (10/5): - Excellent support from all staff. Great food, good choice of drinks. Unique decor and furnishings. Good location
- Gaynor (10/5): - A lovely hotel dog friendly with great staff and food. In a good position
- Janet (10/5): - Great place to stay wound recommend
- David (10/5): - Lovely period building. Wonderful atmosphere
- Jacqui (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay, prior to going to Snetterton race circuit. The car park was large and we felt the car was safe.
The staff were brilliant, couldn’t do more to help us and when friends joined us for an evening meal they accommodated them as well. Definitely will book this hotel again.
- Nick (10/5): - A great stay at a good hotel.
- Trudi (10/5): - Another lovely stay in a friendly comfortable inn in a beautiful, forest just getting out after a nice home cooked breakfast and exploring the forest. We were on two wheels cycling, endless routes and terrain to explore. Then back to base for some drinks and dinner. A visit to Bury st Edmunds was fabulous as well only 20mins
away. We will be back soon
- Laura (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable. We received a warm welcome.
- Denise (10/5): Just perfect! - Brilliant stay. Room was immaculate, everything we needed. Beautiful setting, plenty of parking, nice quiet area.
Restaurant and food very good. Special mention to Wendy who was so cheerful, nothing was too much trouble.
Will definitely visit again, hopefully more than just the one night.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely hotel & staff - Staff were fabulous.
Welcoming on arrival and friendly dinner and breakfast service.
- Paul (10/5): - Lovely hotel, just not a lot around in the way of shops.
- ohappydays (10/5): Nice and friendly - Beautiful setting, spacious table setting plan so not on top of other tables. Menu has good choices, team friendly and knowledgeable. Large outside area with play area for children if needed. Large car park and lots of electric hook ups if needed.
- Richard (10/5): Excellent Stay - An overnight stay on the way back from visiting a friend. We booked the Singh room - excellent! A large room with king size bed, although I would have preferred a walk in shower in the bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful and an added bonus was the Tesla charging in the car park. There was a good choice of food in the restaurant and again, staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay again!
- Leigh (10/5): Lovely experience and stay - Excellent experience staying at the Elveden Inn. The welcome was very good, staff welcoming, polite and helpful. Bed and room well equipped with towels, loo rolls and shower gel/shampoo. Bed and bedding linen were exceptional. Air con in the room was extremely welcome. Variety of breakfast choices available and lovely presentation and presented piping hot, speciality coffees, teas etc also available. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2nd stay and we will be back!
- Carolyn (10/5): - Fabulous room amazing stadf
- Nancy (10/5): Wonderful - Beautiful property, friendly staff, gorgeous room. Wish we could have stayed longer than just one short night.
- 661trishnag (6/5): Lovely place but not the best service - We stopped here yesterday as they have a Tesla supercharger and we needed to charge up for the rest of our journey. We went in for some drinks, nobody came up to us as we sat waiting to be seen for at least 15 minutes with staff ignoring us, even tho we were trying to make eye contact to see when someone would come and see us to a table. Eventually I approached a lady who was friendly enough, we said we only wanted drinks, although we would have preferred inside seats, she ushered us to the garden area which was lovely as the weather was beautiful. When we went in and asked for the drinks menu one of the staff (older lady with short blond hair) huffed and almost rolled her eyes before snapping up the menu and giving it to my hubby. I feel like she was a little rude and maybe we were inconveniencing the restaurant as it was around lunch time and they would have preferred us to buy food but just drinks. We sat for about 45 mins, my hubby had a local lager which was lovely, I had tea and my little one had hot chocolate. We left as soon as drinks were finished as we didn't feel very welcome.
The place itself is stunning, clean and the menus looked lovely. Lots of beautiful old photos Sharing a piece of its history! Maybe we just caught the lady on a bad day but after our experience I'm not sure we would return.
- Saranga (10/5): - Lovely pub and inn. Cozy and spacious Room (Stone Curlew). Food in the pub was really good. Would love return.
- Patricia (10/5): Amazing Place - We stayed at the Elveden Inn It was a wonderful place. We were visiting family for 2 days. Lovely room good food and good breakfast choice. Would stay again.
Do not change anything Staff very helpful.
- Tony (10/5): - There was not one thing I didn’t like service, location, Food, friendliness of staff all spot on. I Would recommend this hotel to everyone
- Isabella (10/5): - Beautiful, clean and sumptous room.
Amazing staff
Value for money
Will be back
- sheilamP4550WD (6/5): Dissapointing Sunday Roast. - I love the decor at The Elveden Inn, but unfortunatly the food is sometimes very dissapointig. As was today. I suppose it all depende on who is the cheff on the day. I took a couple of friends along as they had not been there previously. We went for Sunday Roast which was very mediocre. They had Beef, Pork and Turkey on the menu. We all asked for a slice of each (which we get when we go to another local pub for a carvery) but, the weitress came back and said 'I am sorry but we will have to charge you an extra £6.00 each'. When we asked 'well how many slices of meat is standard'? she replied '2 large slices' we thought that this was a bit exorbitant so opted for one selection. We had specifically asked for crispy roast potatoes, but when our meal arrived, the potatoes had hardly spent any time in the oven. So were returned. When a second batch of potatoes arrived, it was obvious that they had been dunked into a deep fat fryer. We only had two medium sices of meat, and the vegetables were only luke warm. So overall very dissapointing. We will not be going back for a Sunday Roast. Fortunatly the desert was very nice. We all went for the Bakewell tart with clotted cream Ice Cream.
- Simon (10/5): - We had a big party staying here for a family wedding nearby. I don’t usually do these reviews but the Elveden was just outstanding. The place is lovely with nice rooms and a great lounge, bar and restaurant, but it was the staff who made this special. Friendly, competent and endlessly helpful dealing with our group, including arranging two large dinners at short notice. Strongly recommended!
- Jonathan (10/5): - Love staying here, great food, excellent rooms , beautiful area
- Steve (10/5): - Came here wife my wife. What a little gem! Loved it. Room was lovely and food was fantastic!❤️
- Samantha (10/5): Great value for money - My friend and I stay here every year for the night before we go to the spa nearby. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food is delicious and the rooms are clean and comfortable with everything you need.
- Penelope (10/5): Good stay - Arrived early feeling very unwell. My husband asked if was possible to check in early. It was available and the member of staff was most attentive and helpful. Spotless room and very comfortable. Food was most appealing and nothing seemed too much trouble. I felt better, husband and dogs very happy too
- Graham (10/5): Outstanding Value and Service - Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Great value, friendly staff, outstanding food, absolutely perfect and will definitely stay again.
- Ian (8/5): Nice hotel, and staff in the main - The hotel is nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful in the evening.
Breakfast was a little different with the waitress woefully ill informed about what Vegan is and I remain convinced she gave me butter and not a non dairy spread as requested. For those working in hospitality I think it’s fairly basic to know what constitutes a vegan diet - 5% on the population is vegan, and to not think it is the same as gluten free.
- Lisa (10/5): - Very friendly staff beautiful room great food
- timothy (10/5): - Brilliant location and easy distance to our client's place. Calm and tranquil location. Briliant food, best breakfast by far this year. Great bar with lots of choice. Staff are outstanding and friendly. Room was beautifully appointed, great, comfy bed and loads of hot water readily available. Simply a great place to be. Welcoming at all times. Great for charging if you have an EV.
- eph9 (10/5): Lovely one night stay - Lovely one night stay. All staff I saw were nice and happy to help. I was walked to my room as I was in the garden room across from the main building.
Room lovely. Immaculate and stylish. Great shower and comfy bed. Breakfast good too.
I'd stay again if in the area.
- Emma (10/5): Lovely one night stay - Lovely stylish, comfortable room. Good size with a great shower. Was immaculate and bed comfy, I slept really well.
All staff I met were nice and friendly. Breakfast just you just chose off menu and was very nice.
I'd stay again if in the area.
- Tharin (10/5): - Great stay - delicious dinner and stay for Valentine's Day!
- Emily (10/5): - .
- T6920WFdavidg (2/5): Sunday lunch Elveden Inn - Disappointing and poor quality Sunday lunch , limited vegetables selection , small portions compared to others .
We do not feel our lunch was very good value in comparison to other restaurants. This used to be a place for a good lunch. And a 10 percent sneaky service charge !
- David (10/5): - Everything was perfect, room was amazing, Food was amazing, the staff were amazing!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok for one night - Great service, hard mattresses and uncooked food.
- Mr b (8/5): - Great stay good food nice place clean and nice people very good
- Simon (10/5): Dog friendly - Nice place to stay, plenty of chargers for Tesla and other Electric cars. Nice farm shop nearby with dedicated dog cafe! The Dog and Scone
- Lisa (10/5): - A good stay over new year , have stayed many times before .
Fantastic new manager saw the new year in with everyone and no doubt helped clear up and was back on duty for 6 30 am.
Wonderful breakfast and a big thank you to the Elveden team for giving us a lovely stay .. you all have families and loved ones but we’re there for us ,thank you again .👍🙌
- Jonathan (10/5): - Lovely boutique property in a stunning location. We had. Family room for just 2 of us..very large...spotlessly clean with simple but fresh decor.
Great breakfast..had the full English.
- KynanceKoveWatford (10/5): Fantastic staff and service - Had a lovely stay with my family. We stayed in the Singh Room which was incredibly clean and welcoming, with the added bonus of some great history. The food and room were good, but it was the staff who made our stay outstanding. My teenager is autistic and without even having to explain they were quick to ensure he had a brilliant stay. I always mean to write a review of places, but this time I've written it immediately as they really deserve praise for being so intuitively helpful and friendly. Can't wait to return!
- T9560IOrobinl (4/5): Poor menu - Four of us had lunch at the Elveden Inn today with three people choosing the roast salad main course. It was very disappointing. Basically, three ingredients - carrot, red cabbage and chickpeas. It was unappetising and completely dominated by the strong red cabbage which was coarsely chopped and raw. It felt very much like the vegetable leftovers from Christmas. I think it cost £13? In reality, it probably cost a few pence to make. Please do not serve this dish again.
- JONATHAN (10/5): - A beautiful cosy winter inn feel
Rooms are lovely and spacious and the staff and food were all excellent..will be back!
- Jamie (10/5): - Great one night stay with evening meal and breakfast. Service and cleanliness was excellent. Will stay here again when im in the area.
- Phil (8/5): - Reception team welcoming and helpful, room was warm which was thoughtful as a very cold evening. Warm bowl of soup and good food in the evening and a great breakfast - I will be back.
- Linda (10/5): - Lovely inn..and food exceptional
Would definitely go again.
- Sarah (10/5): - The rooms are beautifully decorated to a high standard. The staff are really friendly and the food excellent. The fact they are dog friendly is a real bonus. Will definitely return.
- Terry (6/5): - Service very slow at bar, excellent glass polisher behind bar instead of serving customers, breakfast not cooked properly. Bacon and toast burnt, scrambled eggs undercooked and mushrooms very watery. Ran out of gluten free options and portion size very small. Lovely building in an amazing setting so was a shame.
- Sean (10/5): - Friendly, helpful staff mad the stay a pleasure
- Phillip (10/5): - Great accommodation, spacious room, very comfy good food and one of the best breakfasts I have had in a hotel.
Highly recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Service was friendly and efficient. Our room was comfortable.
