- Janinne (9/5): - Great location to walk everywhere in Split. Stairs….. lots of them. Toni was great and carried our bags up and down when we arrived and left. We were only there for one night, so not a great problem for us but if you’re there for a few days you’ll get a good leg workout!
- Wesley (10/5): This is Great location for a quick visit to the old town and ferry marina. - Easily walkable to the marina and palace. Toni was very helpful and communicated via WhatsApp. The stairs with luggage are a challenge. But with assistance from he staff if arriving when free makes it more manageable. Be sure you don’t have very heavy luggage.

Von unserem Balkon hatten wir genau den Ausblick wie auf den Bildern der Unterkunft zu sehen. Lage war wirklich super. Toni und seine Frau waren sehr nette und zuvorkommende Gastgeber.

The property manager, Tony, was super helpful in helping us find street barking and carrying our luggage up and down all the stairs. The rooms were on the top floor, and there were several flights of stairs to get to the rooms.

Provided good local knowledge and helped us to find a value for $ parking lot. Too many stairs. Good that I prepared a day bag and not lugging big luggages.

The location is absolutely perfect, right in front of the city walls, making it incredibly convenient to explore everything Split has to offer. The hotel itself was spotless, very well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. A special mention goes to Toni, who truly made our experience exceptional. His customer service was top-notch from the very beginning, he picked us up from the parking area, helped carry our heavy luggage, and took the time to share interesting facts about the city. He also gave us great restaurant recommendations, which we really appreciated. Toni created such a warm and welcoming first impression of Split for us, and it honestly made our stay even more memorable. Highly recommended, we would definitely stay here again!

Manca l'ascensore e le camere sono all'ultimo piano (non ricordo se quarto o quinto). Capisco che essendo in pieno centro storico e forse anche in edificio Unesco avere un ascensore sia impossibile, ma per i clienti il piccolo disagio c'è comunque, soprattutto se anziani come noi quattro. Il Proprietario ci ha comunque aiutato portando uno dei nostri bagagli

The location was superb, very close to the waterfront and market, but not too noisy, just a gentle chatter around the market below and virtually no traffic noise. The room is fairly small, but absolutely fine for a few days for up to 2 people, comfy bed, nice shower and a great balcony with sea views. Loads of bakeries and cafes close by. No issues.

Communicative and friendly staff, we were able to update our arriving time by text and he came to meet us with the key. We were also able to store our bags in the property after we had checked out which was helpful! It was a little noisy around midnight with people leaving a nearby bar but it never lasted for very long at all.

The apartment was spotless, beautifully and had everything I could possibly need for a comfortable stay. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful staff, who shlept our luggage up to our rooms. He also brought then down when we left. The location was the prize.

- Anne (10/5): Book the apartment with the balcony - the location was perfect. A few steps from the Palace & in the old town area. The market was in the street just below the apartment. Everything was within a few minutes walk... harbour & ferry to Hvar, palace, train station .. even the bus station to go to Trogir (15mins) the view from the balcony overlooked the gate to the palace & it didn't feel exposed. you could also see to the harbour area. The hosts were so delightful. Welcoming & helpful. Map of the city provided. You could help yourself to replacement coffee sugar etc. The apartment itself was very well set up including refrigerator, sink, jug &coffee makings. It was a good size, easily accommodating 2 people with a separation of bed area & eating/lounge area. I need to mention the stairs to the apartment. Its a heritage building so a lift to the apartment is not permissable. But if you have mobility problems or need to travel with a large suitcase this may not not be the apartment for you. 80 stairs to the top floor & sometimes the automatic lights did not come on so it could be a bit dark. For me ... with a carry on size bag & still able to manage stairs it was not a problem. And having a balcony with that view was worth every step! I would book it again in a heartbeat.

Nach 78 Stufen betrittst du eine eigene Welt: stylisches Design, tolle witzige Details, hochwertige Ausstattung. Die Altstadt liegt direkt gegenüber und Toni hat auch noch Tipps fürs Abendessen. - Pechacek (10/5): Truly luxurious. I have never stayed in a better room. - We had a balcony overlooking the Palace of Diocetius. The view of the Adriatic was tremendous, and my wife and I got to watch the sun go down and the moon come up. Magical. The open market was just downstairs and you can get good produce, cheese etc. at reasonable prices. Coffee shop and bakery too. Ok. The apartment is three flights up. You will not find any elevators anywhere near by because this is a historic district and they are not allowed. I wouldn't want it to be any other way. It's how you get the unique balcony view. Our gracious host Toni helped with the bags, and stairs don't bother us yet, so all was well. Toni is a gem, and a mine of information.

A couple of hard chairs to sit on was all. Also, if you don't like stairs, this is not for you. 4 flights of very steep stairs and not very good lighting in the staircase.

- Peter (10/5): La Porta Luxury Apartments was the perfect place to stay to explore Split. - Our room was large and well appointed, with the bonus of a balcony with views of the port and the palace. The kettle in the room was an added bonus. The location directly next to the palace made touring easy. The farmers market around the corner was perfect for fresh fruit and there were supermarkets and a bakery close by. A perfect apartment in Split. The stairs up to the apartment could be a problem for some. Toni was always ready to help with luggage, but the stairs may prove problematic for some. Others may use the stairs as a way to keep fit!

We had a room with a balcony and a view over the sea and Diocletian’s Palace which was definitely worth paying a bit extra for. Toni, the owner, was very responsive. I would definitely recommend.

Lovely little balcony overlooking market and walls of Diocletian palace. The manager Tony helped us within minutes by carrying luggage up the four stories and a small battery issue with the safe. The location is fantastic to the old city and the bonus is the local market outside your door for very cheap meals and groceries and beer. - Ethan (10/5): - What can I say, Unreal property right next to the old town - less than a minute walk, we had the room with the balcony and the views were unreal! You could see the marina and Diocletians Palace. Toni, the host, was more than accommodating, even helped us bring our bags up which was very kind of him. We were a young couple so we didn’t mind the stairs up - there were a lot and no lift so be prepared! - it was definitely worth the walk up though, the room was clean to the touch. Would definitely stay again if ever in split! PS if the room with the balcony is available book it it’s worth the view!
- Leonie (8/5): - Property was great. Great location just outside the palace. Clean, beds comfy. Too many stairs. Not very convenient when you hv a sore back. Lucky Toni was there to help us carry our luggage .
- Kaitlin (8/5): - This hotel was in a convenient location just outside of the palace and walkable to everything. The host was friendly and helped carry my suitcase up the 3 or 4 flights of stairs. (There is no elevator). The rooms were comfortable but mine smelled a bit musty. The alley area where the hotel entrance is was a bit shady, and the main door look wasn’t working. I honestly would put this at a 3 star property rather than 4 but my stay was good.
