Guest Reviews

- Robert (9/5): This is the second time we have stayed at this Scottish Inn while visiting family. - We liked that the room was quiet and clean. They are nextdoor to a diner that opens early for breakfast. Very pleasant staff (as were the managers of the Scottish Inn.) Also 5 minutes down the road is a mall with restaurants and a PriceRite Grocery and liquor store. The minifridge kept everything cold/frozen. We didn't make coffee in the room as we could walk next door for fresh coffee from the diner. The curtains are black out curtains which is great at night but would have liked some "sheer" curtains/shades similar to what hotels have, that would have allowed light inside during the daytime. Because the Inn is on one level, we felt exposed when we opened the curtains during the day so we kept them them closed.
- Tim (10/5): - Very clean
- Barbara (10/5): Weary Travelers - We loved the cleanliness, the location and the quiet of the room. A nice clean, basic place to spend the night for two weary travelers. There was nothing to dislike.
- Bill (10/5): Perfect - Great road side motel. Clean, comfortable and great staff. Modern rooms, great hot water too! Would give this more stars if possible. Will stay here again. 0

- Edgar (6/5): -
- Richard (8/5): - Room size and bed were comfortable. Inadequate heating and faulty showerhead
- Ayesha (8/5): - Easy parking. No fuss check-in. Great location for Xterra race activities, which were about 30 minutes away at Stokes State Park. The wifi on the television kept glitching. Difficult to enjoy streaming movies.
- Sandra (8/5): - Very clean and well maintained Road noise
- Stephen (9/5): Clean, friendly, family run, convenient, and a great value. -
- Smith (10/5): - Very clean room and nice staff, if I ever need a room around here in the future, I will definitely try to come back.
- Michael (9/5): Great small hotel with warm vibes - The room and access to restaurants. N/A
- Alyse (10/5): -
- Keith (8/5): - The water from the sink had a sulfur smell and taste.

- Kevin (9/5): - Ate at tAllhe Village Diner next door. Food was delicious. Everything was good.
- Carole (4/5): overpriced - It was available terribly overpriced, very noisy highway with trucks going by all night.
- Valerie (5/5): Came home with bug bites. Musty smell. - Location was as I wanted. The TV screen emitted a light even when turned off. Could not figure out which plug to pull to disconnect it from the power.
- Becky (8/5): -
- Sandy (10/5): - Was very clean. Owner very helpful. There was a diner next door for breakfasr

- Randy (9/5): overall very good - Sound of trucks rolling down the highway throughout the night
- Randy (9/5): Good - Value and quality simple clean room. Stay here as a halfway point
- Daniel (10/5): Could not have been better. - Hosts are exceptionally helpful and understanding.
Rooms are very clean, and very quiet.
The hotel is convenient to shopping and to the interstate, and there is a small, 50's-style diner right next door. Our room, with two double beds, just did have enough room for both of them.
- Gronberg (7/5): -
- Leslie (10/5): I have stayed here several times while traveling for work - a very reliable and peaceful place. -
- Wade (9/5): What a Bonnie sweet place to stay. - The front desk staff a female, she was so lovely, friendly and helpful.
- Elizabeth (1/5): -
- Anne (9/5): Well located basic motel - Convenient to highway and town of Milford. Ideal for our one night while traveling. We enjoyed going into town for dinner and the diner next door was perfect for a hearty breakfast before continuing our drive.
Room was very clean and comfortable. There was some noise from the highway, but not terrible.
Would stay again. Price seemed high for small motel, but best value for the area. The highway noise and rain on metal roof was fine for a one night stay, but not ideal for longer stay.
- Mary (8/5): -
- Brenda Geneau-Jamieson (10/5): Perfect stay! - Anna was a sweetheart.
- Debbie (8/5): - The bed was comfortable. We didn't shower and there were no other services avaiable. We just had a comfortable bed for the night.
- Jacqueline (9/5): Very comfortable. Diner, Walmart lots of takeout next door. - Great location, comfortable clean room. I recommend they provide a real coffee maker, not the ones they now have. Otherwise great quality, good view above I84, and picnic tables, easy access to Milford.
- Cecilia (8/5): -
- Greta (10/5): A dependable place to stay for a good price - I've stayed here several times. The location is perfect for my travel destination, the price is good, and the rooms are spacious with everything I need. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Parking is easy, right outside your door, and there is a great diner right next door.

- Cossio (1/5): Tras de que no sirve el interruptor de Hume me sacó 300 dólares de mi tarjeta -
- kristoffer (8/5): - Have stayed at the Scottish Inns previously, a perfectly convenient place to stay, close enough to get into Milford and Port Jervis. Plenty of shops and eating places within a short distance of the motel, and a convenient and good diner located directly next door. Rooms are comfortable, well kept and maintained, bathroom was nice and spacious. Beds were comfortable. be aware that the hotel is right next to a busy highway, and the rooms do not shield you from road noise. I didn't find this a problem and knew about this before arriving from previous experience. But if you are a light sleeper you will need earplugs.
- Bell (7/5): Clean place for a quick trip for the price. I would being my own pillow if I stay again. - Room was clean, we had a nice private outdoor patio. Diner right next door with great breakfast. Reasonably priced. The bed was stiff and the pillows were hard and flat. In the morning I could hear the room above us walking around loudly. Did not get the best sleep.
- Monteiro (10/5): - Rooms updated. Diner right next door. I liked every thing
- Clarke (10/5): - Very clean and friendly staff
- Zoran (8/5): -
- James (10/5): - Actually was fine and a better value than other stays.
- Martha (10/5): - Friendly staff parking was directly across from the room, easy to access plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The room was absolutely spotless. If I could give it 20 stars I would.
- Philip (10/5): As always, we were happy to have a night at the Scottish Inn. - The location fits our travel plans perfectly. We have stayed there for years. We are greeted very warmly by the owner and provided with everything we need. We like the room, the decor. The beds are comfortable and all systems work. We have no complaints. Not one.
- T8925SFpetek (8/5): Enjoyable stay at the Scottish Inn, Milford,PA! - We had an enjoyable stay. The room was very clean & comfortable. The hosts were very friendly. Will definitely stay here again!
- Robert (10/5): - Bed very comfortable. Sheets and pillows fresh with Xtra pillows if we had needed them. TV easy to operate. Excellent pricing. Milford Diner next door and if we wanted something at night, a mile down the road was a plaza with Wendy's, McDs, Taco Bell, WalMart, etc. Small apt refrigerator and microwave. A comfortable set up
- Eileen (10/5): - Spotless room & bathroom, 10/10!
- LeeAnn (10/5): Comfy, Peaceful, Convenient - This Milford location was close to the wedding place I was in the area for, which made traveling between both locations convenient. Quiet, peaceful area. Very comfortable. N/A
- Weese (8/5): Good clean place to stay if just traveling through for a night - Location was great and dining and shops close by No breakfast or food offered on premises
- William (6/5): - Clean and comfortable but in the middle of nowhere. It's basically a place to sleep while traveling from one place to another. As such it is overpriced.
- Kathy (6/5): - Overall okay, need to get new linens as they were worn out and pilly. Consider this more a motel not an inn.
- Kenneth (10/5): - Very nice rooms clean with nice restaurant next door which was convenient
- Wendy (1/5): -
- Robert (10/5): - Clean, a little older but well maintained
- Carole (9/5): Cute family-run old-school motel good for a short stay - The location was perfect for us, just off the interstate but on a quiet road. They don't have breakfast (or even vending machines), but there's a terrific diner right next door that opens early. We had a king room, which was pretty tiny but fine for a one-night stay. The price seemed on the high side for a plain room with no amenities, but since this is a tourist area, it was probably a good deal compared to other properties nearby. Everything was very clean and the people we dealt with were very friendly.
- Marilyn (9/5): Charming, clean and nostalgic. Loved it! - Charming quaintness reminiscent of early 1960s but with A/C, microwave, mini fridge and Kuerig coffee maker in the room. Windows on 3 sides for fresh air if desired. Very clean. Nice decor. No food options at hotel but a 1956 diner right next door with excellent breakfast and many other meal choices. Clean, nostalgic and delicious. Nothing else needed.
- Shannon (8/5): Great spot for motorcyclists - Pleasantly surprised by this motel. Very well updated, clean, and comfortable. Check In was quick, easy, and friendly. 3 mins out of Port Jervis makes this a great place to stay if you’re in the area. We were in on a motorcycle ride and it’s nice to be able to park the bike right in front of your room
- Kathleen (6/5): - The motel itself was very clean and staff was friendly. The water smelled of sulfur and the bed was incredibly uncomfortable, hard, and felt like we were sleeping on the boxspring. If you're not accustomed to highway noise, I wouldn't recommend because the hotel is right next to I-84.
- Marcel (10/5): Great place to stay. - Very nice place to land; clean, friendly, convenient to many things. I really appreciated our comfortable stay.
- Alisha (8/5): -
- Ken (10/5): Updated hotel close to Port Jarvis - This is our third stay at the same Scottish Inn. The hotel has been significantly upgraded with new paint and furnishings. The room was very clean. The hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. There is a diner within walking distance and the hotel is very reasonably priced. We definitely plan to stay her again in the future.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Unexpected gem - The rooms here are clean, comfortable, and quiet. Quite an unexpected experience for a roadside motel.
- Matthew (10/5): - The lady at the front desk was amazing and I almost fell inlove I wanted to get her phone number but didnt
- Jonathan (8/5): -
- Caliber (10/5): - Very nice place to stay. Staff is wonderful and very accommodating.
- Gary (10/5): - Location Nothing
- Louise (8/5): -
- Bill (10/5): - Very pleasant very cean.nothing fancy but relaxing
- cheryl (10/5): - The room was comfortable and very clean. We had a room with a kingvsize bed. It was very comfortable. The staff were very nice. It was easy to go into Milford to shop and enjoy a delicious dinner. There's a diner next door which made getting breakfast super easy.
- FTLCruisers (10/5): Very clean rooms in a great location - We booked 2 rooms at the Scottish Inns so we could spend time with family that has a vacation home nearby. While the place looks like a typical older motel, the rooms were really nice and modern. The rooms were very clean - something really important to us. One room had a king size bed while the other had 2 double beds. One benefit is the location since there is a diner right next to the motel with other restaurants and stores only a short drive away. Owners were always on property and were very nice and helpful. We would definetely book a room here again.
- David (10/5): - Anna
- Patricia (9/5): Convenient location, great price and very comfortable bed - Great price and convenient location to Rte 84, grocery store and diner. Very comfortable. The room and bathroom were very clean. Appreciated there was a microwave and refrigerator/ freezer. Staff were very pleasant and courteous. Would have liked to have had fresh coffee in the reception area available with cream. But the place worked perfect for the price and location convenience. There was a small single cup coffee maker in the room with powdered creamer available.
- Mallow (10/5): Good value, very clean - Well kept grounds
- Lavender15 (10/5): Scottish Inn a gem in Milford, PA - We were greeted by a kind, welcoming gentleman at check in. Our room was comfortable and very clean and a great price. The bed was very comfortable. There was an iron, microwave, mini fridge with a freezer. There is a single cup coffee maker on the desk. The bathroom was very clean and had a hairdryer. There was a diner nearby, a grocery store, McDonald's and Wendy's down the street. Scottish inn is about a little over 2 mi from quaint downtown Milford. If you're in the area and have time, definitely stop to explore the grounds of that the Grey Towers state park.
- peter (10/5): - Location Pillow
- Richard (10/5): - Nice family style motel, close to what you need
- ANTHONY (10/5): - Good stay
- joann (10/5): - The office staff was so accommodating. We arrived earlier than check in and they had our room ready. Perfect!!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): High pricing for a 3 ☆ hotel with no amenities - Please tell me why there is such fluctuation in price from week to week for the same room?
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Lenora (10/5): Clean and quiet - Very clean; beds were very comfortable; on the road but surprisingly quiet.
- Brian (10/5): - Great motel just over the NY border. I have stayed here many times during my cross country motorcycle trips.
- Lorraine (10/5): - Room was nice and clean
- Jane (8/5): - very nice overall
- Crawford (8/5): - Not fancy, but clean and comfortable with a good night's sleep in a very decent bed. Near places to eat and shop.
- Jean (10/5): - Reasonable price and very clean. Had everything we might need in the room. Updated and comfortable.
- 158sassys (4/5): Ignorant of service dog laws and discriminatory - They are not familiar with service dogs. They called me and advised they were downgrading my room because of the dog. I told them legally they cannot, but I would accept a 20 percent discount if they do. That shut them up. They shut them up about the room and they let me stay in the room I picked. They were not very welcoming. They acted like they did not want us there.
- Panagiotis (10/5): - Very nice room, spacious and modern.
- Catherine (8/5): Nice quick stay I would stay again. - Very nice ans accomodating staff. Well maintained and updated rooms. Wish there was a pool or continental breakfast for the price.
