Guest Reviews
- George (7/5): -
- Patricia (8/5): The manager was great and the room was quiet - No breakfast, but manager was super sweet and kind Train noise
- Jennie (6/5): I was quite satisfied and comfortable. -
- Lea (4/5): - Mattress was good. Everything else.
- Chris (7/5): -
- Tobias (10/5): - The motel was nice awesome front desk service and they were extremely nice would recommend to anyone
- Osmany (1/5): -
- Lynda (6/5): - Checking in and checking out was good. The room was clean but very outdated. The bed was comfy and I slept well. The shower wall grout was stained and rather unsightly. Terrific water pressure, but it took several minutes for the temperature to get up. There is NO continental breakfast though - not even coffee. Considering the cost of a 1 night stay, it was worth the $73. If it were going to be a longer trip, I would probably check out other options.
- ryan (1/5): -
- danuta (8/5): - The place was dirty and overpriced
- Holly (10/5): - Enjoyed the manager/owner. Old bldg but the room was very nice.
- David (10/5): - Everything about it is great
- Annette (7/5): - I will go back again. It's not fancy but the people who ran it were so nice, when we thought our shower wasn't working he didn't even give a frown when we thought you turned the knob not pull it. Small bathroom
- Candace (8/5): - It was a nice stay for just the overnight
- Paul (8/5): - Reasonably priced property, but in need of multiple upgrades & updates to overall property. Keys are old fashioned actual keys—not key cards. Check in person had very limited English abilities.
Place was clean and I would stay there again, but I would adjust my expectations accordingly.
- Dustie & Randy (6/5): - Our stay was good, the rooms were clean, but dated. it’s an older motel, rates seemed a little high for the property.
- Marcos (5/5): Dirty. Bugs. Price got overcharged. - Location Did not like the rooms, they were dirty and had bugs. Got over priced when having to pay in person at the office.
- Samantha (7/5): Would stay here for future gorge trips. - Location and price was exactly what we wanted/needed for our trip. We decided to go to the gorge last minute and didn’t want to camp. It was only a 35 min to the venue and exactly what we needed for our weekend. Very close to food and stores and which was nice. Room was very clean & bed was pretty comfortable. Property was quiet. Exactly like the pictures online. Could use a little updating because it’s an older motel and definitely didn’t have any bells or whistles on the property but overall I was happy with the room. It had everything we needed for our trip for a great price.
- Payton (2/5): - Honestly this is the kind of place you go to if you’re looking for a cheap option that isn’t gonna give you like bed bugs and rashes, but you know dang well will be a bit yucky and it’s simply cheap and convenient for whatever reason you need a hotel.
- Joseph (8/5): - Easy checkin, clean room
- Mary (10/5): Great stop, budget friendly, for road trippers. - Clean and quiet. Property well maintained. Responsive manager/owner. Room and bathroom clean and comfortable. Dining options next door. Typical bad motel coffee
- ritchetta (10/5): - Nice and quiet. Thank you
- Natalya (4/5): - Nothing uniq
- Samuel (2/5): - Never again will stay in the place again.
- tamara (8/5): - Friendly staff, pretty clean. Beds are uncomfortable but the place is affordable and adequate for a short stay.
- Anonymous (1/5): Bad -
- Ryan (8/5): - Older motel, no issues, just dated for the price I'm my opinion. No complaints, amenities were adequate, did what I need it to, and bed was comfortable and clean.
- har p (2/5): - Shabby
- Courtney (2/5): - Charged an extra $133, the sink and shower drips.
- Joseph (2/5): - Thought it might retain the charm it had a few years ago. It did not, and Ephrata has become a red, white and blue blight. No thanks!
We spent our trip at Soap Lake instead.
- Carrie (2/5): - The owner conveniently couldn't find my booking and charged us double the listed rate.
- Jessica (8/5): Very good -
- Keith (8/5): - No thanks
- Carol (7/5): Good - Price was great. No frills motel. Manager was very helpful.
- Jacob (9/5): Superb -
- Endre (1/5): Bad -
- RODNEY (10/5): - friendly staff, clean and cozy. Street noise until 9pm for rooms near road.
- Changren (4/5): - The room rate that was booked was $65. Upon check-in, I was charged a room rate of $89. It took several minutes to clear that up during check-in.
- Diaz (8/5): Very good -
- Courtney (4/5): - Bathroom is old and outdated. There was mildew and hair from a prior occupant on the ceiling of the shower. Everything needed a good scrub. Shower curtain had mystery white stains on it. Bathroom door would get stuck and the person in the restroom would need to be saved by someone outside the bathroom. Sink leaked, toilet had leak at the bottom. Man who checked me in charged me more than quoted by Expedia and said all of 6 words to me the entire process. Linens were clean on bed, but bed were very uncomfortable. Front door had gap where you could see daily light and you had to put your entire weight against the door to close it. Spend a little more and stay somewhere else, someone in our party stayed here a few years ago and it wasnt as run down.
- Philip (2/5): - No one should ever stay at Ephrata Inn. It should be condemned, the Health Dept should see the black mould. The Income Tax Dept should be looking at his books. The owner/manager was the worst person I have ever met. I spent my years working as a nurse, and nurses deal with the best and the worst of humans. This guy is the worst. He yelled at me, lied to me, muttered a nasty word at me, and was absolutely the nastiest person I've ever had to deal with. The room was so cold so I asked for a heater to which I was yelled at and abused verbally. When we said if the heat couldn't be provided, we wanted our money back. He said he'd give us our money but would let Expedia charge us anyway. We hadn't touched anything in the room but he'd charge us anyway. What a jerk. So we put up with one lamp for the only light in the room, black mould on the window sills and grout in the bathroom, no coffee maker and very precarious building standards. This place should be condemned. Do not go there. PS the owner is no longer 'Tony'. The new person speaks very poor English and has a terrible temper which he unleashes on anyone. End of story. Do not go there. Expedia should not promote this inn.
- David (9/5): It was quiet and comfortable - It has an out door pick nick and Bar-Bq area
- Nancy (7/5): An older place, but a good stay. - The hotel was ideally located near my friends home. The room was nice and large, and very, very, clean!! I would stay there again! The bed was too soft, and I was too weak( in remission (, to let myself out of the shower. My daughter had to let me out! The room door took some fines sing to open from the outside with the key.
- Banks (3/5): Short - It’s in town There were ants everywhere . Need improvements
- Elizabeth (2/5): - .
- Lena (1/5): We didn’t stay. - The room was full of dead moths. The bathroom was full of dead and alive spiders and moths. We didn’t stay there. The manager said he was refunding the cost.
- Karen (5/5): Passable -
- Johnnae (4/5): Over all we had a place to sleep, the front desk was nice. I forgot an iten and he called to have me come pick it up. I - It was in Ephrata. It was a little sketchy, didn't have the comfortable feel. It basically was a place to sleep. Wouldn't stay more than 1 night there.
- Karson (1/5): Absolute disgust. - Absolutely nothing. This place is disgusting... down to the walls, the black mold in the bathroom, and the repulsive employee who checked me in. Treated me as an inconvenience and was extremely rude to me. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from here.
Update: Its been 24 hours since we stayed here and we are starting to have bug bites everywhere. Again... I cannot stress it enough. Do NOT stay here. The Best-western down the street looked like a Hilton in the morning in comparison.
- STARR (6/5): - This is an older motel but has been basically remodeled. Bed was comfy. Sheets were cotton, a little rough but I like cotton. All amenities worked. Shower grout and caulking needed a little maintenance but honestly folks it was just as good as any 4 star motel. Nicely landscaped.
- Daniel (8/5): Very good -
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Nobody there upon checkin. Had to sleep in car.
- Ted (6/5): - Very short on convenience for guests. Noisy air conditioner, no clock, and limited space.
- Cherie (6/5): - Okay
- Roberta (8/5): - Decent little spot to spend a couple nights while visiting the gorge amphitheater if you’re not trying to pay an arm and a leg for a room.
- jenny (2/5): Next time we will sleep in our car - The bathroom was not too clean. There was a air gap all the way around the front door. Only one Kleenex tissue in the Box no backup. The same exact picture was hanging over both beds. There were two white chairs that were absolutely grimy Stained and filthy looking. And for this we paid $392 a night!?
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great value per dollar - Everything was good.
- Kiley (1/5): Not the vibes - Nada Dirty. Rude workers. No house keeping. Awful. Just a sheet on the bed?!?!? No lights!?? No toilet paper!!!!!!! DISGUSTING!!🤮🤮
- Pat (4/5): - Should be $60 night hotel not $100
- Shelley (8/5): Quiet clean rooms. Descent price for a place to get some sleep in clean rooms - Rooms are clean and there’s a picnic area you can BBQ. Nothing
- Mackenzie (5/5): Passable -
- Rebecca (8/5): Very good - It was quiet and relaxing Elderly couple put upstairs
- Errol (7/5): Good - Didn’t have any
- ron (4/5): - NOTHING! I found the person that checked me in; as rude, argumentative and not easily understood! Told me I don't understand how things work! This review was made by my spouse as she was the one who stayed there.!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good enough, I guess - It was about what I expected. It was not great. But it wasn't terrible either. 3 stars for everything.
I would give it less if it was priced like a fancier hotel, but I got what I paid for.
- Erin (1/5): Terrible, dirty, creepy. - It was the only option around? Everything.
- Jerry (4/5): - Way too expensive for this quality of motel.
- Juan (1/5): The dirtiest hotel ever and got double charged - The room was dirty. There was beer bottles in the bottom of the bed, dirty underwear in the bathroom bottom of the sink poor staff whoever was running the office was really really bad. He double charged me Booking.com charge me and then he charged me twice so I got charged twice, and had a really bad smell in it Just poor service, I asked him about the smell. I asked him about beer bottles, and bottom of the bed. Dirty bathroom was really dirty.
- Bree (4/5): Very overpriced for what you get. Old facilities. We also witnessed the owner not changing the sheets in a room he was c - Not much at all. Old. Stairs are about to collapse.
- CONNIE (6/5): - Unfortunately, staff ran my cc again, so probably double paid. No coffee pot. Bed ok.
- Stephen (1/5): Bad -
- Paul (1/5): Terrible. - 1. The location was close to my work.
2. I would not eat here if they had food.
3. Mold on the shower walls
3. Three hangers in I guess was a closet.
5. Extension for plug ins
6, Stains on wall As I arrived after seven pm, the owner came out mad at me. I asked for a first floor room, and he said they are for customers. I thought I was a customer?
1. Mold on the shower walls.
2. Shower handles has something on them.
3. Toilet had one bolt on each side holding it down.
4. Sink dripped water all night.
5. Something brown or black under front rim of toilet.
6. I travel with a black light and saw large drips of something on the wall using the light that could not be seen without.
- Heidi (4/5): U are not sleeping on clean sheets - The location Staff was rude, room was clean but as we were leaving I was setting in the car waiting for our group and I watched the housekeeper who was also the man that did our check in cleaning rooms. He NEVER CHANGED THE SHEETS. He just made the beds. I was so horrified and discussed. WTF really
- Jamie (6/5): Pleasant -
- Weigel (7/5): Good -
- David (2/5): - I found a bedbug under the pillow which was extremely disturbing.
- Eileen (6/5): - Along the main highway so some traffic sounds but also convenient to everything. Trains run several times a night a block away. Bed was superb and bathroom supplies and towels very nice. The building is dated. The desk clerk was all efficient business with no smile or welcome. Met our needs.
- Jeffrey (8/5): Very good -
- Illya (8/5): Very good -
- Jeff (8/5): - The plumbing fixtures are antiquated. Hvac mounted in closet and very noisy. Ice is in office, it appears to be a small chest freezer with bagged ice dumped into it and its all frozen together so you need to break it apart with the metal scoop.
- Logan (5/5): Passable -
- Alexei (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carla (3/5): If I were to stay in Ephrata again I would call around to find a hotel that suited me better. - The shampoo and lotion provided were decent. The mattress was comfortable enough. Provided 3 pillows. I didn’t expect Egyptian Cotton or anything “fancy” so long as the linens were clean was what was more important for me. No phone, no clock, no phone chargers, no coffee pot. Terrible customer service even though I was trying to be respectful (communication issues). At Check in they demand full payment upfront rather than a hold on funds and pay at checkout (which is the industry standard).
There were was a lady bug in my room, which startled me when it landed on my head in the middle of the night. The bar soap was “exfoliating” which could be good for some people but I didn’t like it. The heater was barely working and bathroom heat seemed to not working. The bathroom tissue is extremely poor quality.
I walked in and they told me one price but if you book online you can save some money.
- Mgarstin (4/5): Disappointing - The room was pretty much what I expected for the price and location. The shower in the room didn't work. It was obviously seized up for some time. The manager didn't seem to be aware of the problem when I mentioned it to him.
- Victor (9/5): I got a good restful night of sleep at a reasonable price in a very remote part of the country - Open late. The caretaker came to meet me at about 10:30 PM and walked me to my room and the bitter cold. Made an extra blanket available and was very kind. Nothing is suited my purposes perfectly
- Christina (6/5): - It was a last resort situation. I booked on expedia it said i could pay at the property! I get to the property and he said sin e i was paying cash i had ti pay a deposit. Well i didnt have that. When i booked my room it was 58.08 or something. I ended up paying $65 because i didnt have it on a credit card. Room was dark not enough lighting..
- Alice (7/5): We only spent one night. - the locations was perfect as we were catching the train the next morning. I didn't appreciate Booking.com trying to steer us to a different hotel. We were told there were no rooms available but when I went online there were rooms available. I won't us booking.com again.
- Alejandra (2/5): Bad - Location is good We want to take a shower before checking out and there was no hot water.
- Nicole (3/5): Poor - Late night arrivals all throughout night. People made a lot of noise outside our room. In addition, I brought 2 dogs because the hotel description said they were dog friendly, we were asked to pay a $35 pet fee. I didn't argue with this, it's standard, but once he saw that I had 2 dogs and not just 1, he asked me to pay an additional fee for the 2nd dog. He said if I paid cash for the dog fees, he would only ask for $50 instead of $70. I ended up paying $50 cash for pet fees. For what I paid for the room plus the dog fees, this hotel is way, way, overpriced.
- Jeanna (9/5): Superb -
- Brian (5/5): Decent enough for the price - No breakfast. Location OK, but a bit noisy with the train tracks so close Microwave and refrigerator, but no kettle to make tea with
- Julia (5/5): i got what i came for (a place to stay the night) but not anything exceptional - there was a bed and a shower staff was very rude
- O'driscoll (4/5): Disappointing - The room was great . But the bathroom was just terrible. The guy at the booking in desk seemed like I was a nuisance and was taking up his time.Too much of a hurry. But maybe he was busy. The bathroom
- Schreck (1/5): Bad - No promised coffee
- Amanda (8/5): Very good -
- Weeks (2/5): Very poor - Nothing One hard backed chair, no coffee machine/kettle, no hairdryer , no cups, faulty toilet cistern, mouldy bathroom tiles.
- Andrey (8/5): - I might of missed something but this was the first motel where the clerk said that I have to pay cash, otherwise there is a $10 fee for a card payment.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This property is a cash only location
- Nichol (10/5): Exceptional - Clean place. Very peaceful
- Cecelia (3/5): Poor - The gentleman at the front desk was very rude when I tried to call and cancel and because I didn't understand what he was saying he got mad and said oh my gosh. When I checked in he seemed irritated I don't know if it was because it was late or he realized who it was when I showed up that I was the one that tried to cancel earlier that day. The sheets had a couple small stains on them the shelf in the bathroom was falling out of the wall there was only one towel one hand towel and one washcloth in the room. It just wasn't very hospitable and I did not feel welcome when I checked in or when I called for assistance.
