Robert (1/5): Unprofessional - Nothing Rented out my reservation room. BLAMED Booking.com as not informing them any room preference. Even though my reservation confirmation shows it! to take a lesser room at the SAME PRICE!! Thus us 2 trips in a row this happened.

Although both times I’ve stayed there the elevators were having issues and the AC wasn’t working to good. TERRY (4/5): Was ok I guess - I was in town for a couple of days for work. To be fair the only reason people stay in this town is for oil and gas work. The hotels floor was very dirty from all the workers getting off work. The room had a permanent BO smelll so I got a candle to try and minimize it. Overall it was decent and I’m sure it’s hard to keep clean in sure a dirty environment.

Diana (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean When I checked in the receptionist told me a lot of rooms had been canceled. I was lucky my room wasn't one of the ones that was canceled! The reason was booking.com had over booked! There were dirty sheets by my room door when I got there at 6:00pm and they were still there in the morning at 10:30am. As a 65y ear old, to me that's unsafe, you can trip and fall.
Ruple (7/5): Good - The full size pillows were a plus. If you like a VERY firm mattress then you will enjoy the beds. My back had zero complaints that's for sure although they could leave a bit of looseness in the sheets but that's neither nor there Wasn't thrilled by the surprise charge on my card after having already booked my room. Was charged $117 initially only to later see a charge for $142. The $25 was refunded so I'm told but that $25 was much needed for my meal that night which passed up due to no longer having enough $$ on my per diem card. Hopefully that $25 gets credited back soon as I was told it would time will tell just know to avoid this place in the future so as not to get any surprise charges

4579 (6/5): Límited expectations, limited service - 3 of 5… This site is a basic extended stay hotel, mainly built for local oilfield and transients. Amenities on the room are available (full size fridge, dishwasher, kitchen supplies, coffee maker). Recliner in room. Issues with room: Soiled top comforter (looked like baby fecal matter), Sheets on bed appeared to have been slept in already, and the mattresses are sunken in. Only bathroom washcloth originally just looked dingy, however upon use was stained with either oil or mud/dirt. Non-smoking room had a strong smell of smoke in the room. Required sleeping the entire night with a window open, running the HVAC unit fan (not using AC compressor), running the bathroom ventilation fan, and needing to purchase Febreze spray and a glade plug in to manage the smell. Every fabric item in the room (carpet, curtains, bedspread and frames, and shower curtain had a foul odor). Hotel was not accommodating in the room issue or adjusting a group reservation to an individual person. Concerns raised again at checkout were dismissed. Additionally, IHG customer service line was unable to assist with folio issue, referring back to the hotel, who originally could not assist and referred the concern to IHG. Just know what to expect at this facility. This was business travel and a facility I would not stay at again.
Lincoln (9/5): Great stay, comfy, professional staff, good location. - The room we got on the forth floor was so much nicer than the one we had been given the time before that was on the 1t floor (wasn't very clean, microwave was so gross we couldn't use it). We were away from all the oil workers which was VERY nice.

Valerie (6/5): Fast check in! Friendly. - Spacious room and good ac. Nice full size fridge and stove. Big closet too. Didn’t use the pool but it looked clean. The elevators need to be vacuumed. Trash was still there all day and night as you exit the elevators. So I’m guessing no one knows how to take the trash out. Dirty towels in the hallways at several rooms. Also the housekeeper knocked at my door at 9:45. I’m like thinking check out is 11. I told her we are still here. I’m guessing no communication from the front desk to housekeeper.

Jerome (10/5): Awesome - Very pleasant and enjoyable time. Nice size room on the ground floor wuth a small kitchen. They have onsite shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and lotion by DOVE😉. The trash cans were LARGE. Staff was so helpful and friendly always with a smile🙂. Easy in/out. They keep their floors cleaned daily with shampooing. It's an extended stay so no breakfast as you have a kitchen, but complimentary coffee. The oilfield workers are there and the hotel was still clean overall.

Guillermo (2/5): Don't know how reservations work. - We reserved a handicap cap room with two queen beds several weeks in advance and called the hotel in the early pm to let them know that we were going to arrive late. We arrived late to find out that they had given our room to someone that arrived earlier than us is what we were told. This incident reminds me of that episode in Seinfeld that they know how to take a reservation but not how to keep it. The room had been paid for even if we hadn't shown up at all. They ended up giving us a king size bed for a family of 4 with a kid in a wheelchair and said they didn't have a roll away bed or anything else to make up for their own mistake. I ended up sleeping on a recliner. Terrible customer service. Trying to get them to give us extra pillows was a laughing matter as well since I was told they could only provide one extra pillow and that is it.

It was nice to have ample space and amenities during my stay. The hotel was clean and the cleaning service came by daily to tidy up while I was at work. Will stay here again.

Just needed to be mopped with clean water. Live that they have the workout room and free laundry connected so i could kill two birds AND still watch tv!
TRUCKHER (10/5): Excellent Stay - If you’re ever in the Cotulla Tx area, make sure you experience a stay here. The hotel staff provided friendly service, they have great snacks & most important the rooms are very clean & comfortable. I would recommend them to anyone.
pinkfea4u (10/5): Quinceañera - I booked 2 suites for Memorial Day weekend 2 months in advance for my nieces birthday. The convenience of having ample space for 7+ girls to get hair and makeup ready was awesome! The front desk staff always with a smile and so welcoming no matter what time of the day we were coming in and out. Mary Anne takes pride on guest services! It was obvious that the staff works well together. Mari, Our housekeeping girl, was so attentive and always made sure we had clean towels and anything else we needed! We will definitely be back! Thank you so much for having us!
noedelarosa (10/5): Home away from Home!!! - This hotel is just amazing! It is extremely clean!!! When i mean extremely clean i mean everything is clean from the time you walk into the hotel to the time you leaving even the outside is clean. The staff is super nice and friendly. Housekeepers do an amazing job of cleaning the rooms every day. Which is wonderful for me since i work in the oilfield. Everything was wonderful from the full size kitchen (which all unitizes are included). Big thing here was COMFORT. Everything was comfortable! From the pillows to the bed, even how big the rooms are. Top class hotel! My guys and me enjoyed this place a lot the outdoor grill was a big hit for them. Best part of our stay was the home made food they will server. This hotel really made me feel like home away from home!

Parking is not so great since a lot of the people staying there have large trucks myself included so its a little cramp parking wise.

Oh and the FREE laundry service, I have never felt so happy washing away from home before! : ) The young man at the Front desk was so informative and helpful with sharing the cities good eats and its surrounding area. I travel to Cotulla often and have made Candlewood Suites my second home! Thank you for the great service!
KandJA3 (10/5): Wonderful Stay and Caring Staff - Stayed a night to take my children swimming and cool off from this summers excruciating heat. Not only was the staff extra nice and helpful, but the general manager went out of her way to make sure my children and i had all we needed to enjoy our little mini summer vacation. We really enjoyed the beautiful hotel and its awesome service. I would definitely stay again without a doubt.
kareneK2847CL (8/5): Comfy Night's Sleep - Arrived in Cotulla after a long drive through Mexico. Decided to stay at the Candlewood Suites after finding out other hotels were full or shut down. The room was a nice surprise. Comfortable layout made it quite homey. We loved the big reclining chair. There seemed to be few other guests that night and the hotel was very quiet. The woman working the front desk was very friendly. It seems like the hotel doesn't serve a breakfast, but we had our own food. We would definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.
georgelN2262YS (10/5): New Hotel, Great Staff - This is clearly a brand new hotel; the staff is great, they really go out of their way to ensure that the stay is good. The rooms are spacious and they have a full kitchen. The price was great too. The beds are no joke, best sleep I've had in a while.
normao257 (10/5): Brand new hotel - great hotel, just opened a few months ago. The staff is very friendly. There is not much to do in Cotulla so the beds being really comfy is a great plus, you can stay in and watch tv and cook something in your own complete kitchenette.
VLSvic (10/5): Flight Attendant Retiree - My type of work took me all over the world so I've had the opportunity to learn what hotels are truly top rated. Candlewood Suites offers a very good experience for those whom have a dog or not. We had our Pit bull with us and the staff didn't even bock about him being a large dog. He was made to feel welcome just as ourselves. There is a 25.00 fee to have your animal. Now remember this review was made 9/27/15, so fee rates may be more or less by the time you stay here...All I can say is good about my stay, this is a top notched hotel suite. Our room had 2 queen size beds with a full size kichenette and appliances, there is no conventional oven but there is a microwave, the stove top has 2 ceramic burners, dish washer with dishwasher detergent, stainless sink (w/modern faucet made by America Standard) and full size refrigerator/freezer w/icemaker (turn icemaker on as soon as you get into room so as to have ice for the hotel does not have ice machines). Cabinets are framed with textured glass fronts so you can see what your looking for w/out having to open every cabinet (very nice) and equipped with full set of dishes and cookware, cooking utensils, manual can opener, veggie peeler, combo bottle opener/can piercer, nice metal utensils, cutting board, 2 cup pyrex liquid measuing cup, storage containers, strainer and a Sunbeam brand 2 slot wide mouth toaster. There is a walk-in closet with laundry basket to use in the free laundry room (don't forget your fav detergent) and full size iron & ironing board. Full size bathroom with rain shower, shower head, modern faucets, offers extra toilet paper & tissues, cabinet underneath sink along with 2 small draws below cabinet, plenty of extra towels, hand towels & wash cloths and corner 3 shelf open shelves for your toiletries and oblong toilet/seat/lid. In sleeping area of room you'll find a full size leather look lounge chair and desk w/work space (internet, WI fI, 2 phones) and dresser combo, big screen TV mounted on wall. The hotel staff is very down to earth professionally friendly. Overall hotel and rooms very clean. Lobby offers sectional seating and a big screen TV also mounted on the wall. There is NO restaurant but there is a shop cupboard with reasonably priced beverages and snacks open 24hrs. There is also an assortment of restaurants within walking distance and grocery store/shopping. Hotel amminities - pool with outdoor gazebo equipped with free full size gas grill for barbecuing your fav meat and/or veggies with tables/chairs to enjoy fresh air outdoor dining. There is also a Gym on site. Room prices are very reasonable too...I recommend the Candlewood Suites 100%. Enjoy your stay! I did and so did my well trained dog!!!
704alyc (10/5): Brand New - Loved the rooms there spacious, it has a whole kitchen , Laundry is free of charge , the hotel is brand new , Will Defiantly come back also the Front desk Girls have excellent customer service , rooms were really clean .
TXSeabees (8/5): Passing Through - When I checked in Rose Mary was very helpful and friendly. The rooms are nice and clean. I was impressed with the lay out of the suite. The washers and dryers are free. Unfortunately, the hot water in the shower is not very good. I turned the handle all the way over and water became lukewarm at its best.
