- Luen (9/5): Really lovely stay in a great spot in Wales - A lovely place, we stayed in a large room with newly refurbished bathroom. Showers were good and beds very comfortable.
Breakfast was delicious, much of this was provided without single use plastics, which is really good, and coffee was excellent.
The accomodation is set a short distance from the main road which is great for visitors.
Julie kindly met us when checking in and helped us with our queries. Thank you. Not a great deal except maybe a tall mirror for the room, but that’s not essential for everyone.
- Christopher (10/5): -
- Colin (10/5): - Host was very thorough and welcoming. Room was immaculate and more than spacious enough and equipped for us both.
Breakfast was hot and exactly as described and more.
Location is absolutely ideal for staying local or venturing further.
Honestly cannot fault our stay.
Will be visiting again.
- Sau Wai Elaine (8/5): It - It is clean and good enough. There are restaurants and shops in walking distance. The owner is very much nice and helpful. No
- Lea (10/5): Wonderful, would come here again if I wanted a holiday in Snowdonia. - Julie was lovely, very warm and friendly. Room was very comfortable, ideal size for the two of us and very quiet so could sleep well. The location is an excellent base for accessing the Snowdonia moutains and having the facilities of a village easily accessible. I cannot think of anything I didn't like.

Breakfast is excellent, lots of choice and lovely cooked full Welch breakfast. The rooms are comfortable and everywhere is immaculately clean. Nothing, couldn’t fault anything.

- Alex (10/5): -
- Sarah (9/5): Very quaint and welcoming feel to our stay. - Our stay was very pleasant, welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast was lacking fruit. Would have been nice to have an option of apples, oranges or bananas.
- Jasmin Kharamani (10/5): -
- Gunnar (9/5): -
- Matt (10/5): -
- Mrs Diane (10/5): Needed a relaxing break and this is what we got. Definitely recommend. - Had a choice of what to have for breakfast, had cooked breakfast each morning which was cooked the way we wanted it and also catered for my husband as he has allergies.
Location perfect as it seemed central to the area. Would have been better if we had a walk in shower instead of having to climb into the bath as I am only small, but as guest house was full was the only room available.
- Luke (5/5): Generally pleasant stay but I think I would stay somewhere else next time - The property was very picturesque and in a lovely location. I thought the landlady and staff were generally really nice as well. I think that there are some things that need a bit of work. The shower that we had was either scorching hot or freezing cold. When I went for a shower in the evening, halfway through the cold water just completely dropped out and I nearly burnt my skin skin.I’m not sure how it affects the total price, but I also felt like the breakfast was subpar, especially as a vegetarian. The mattress on the bed was exceedingly soft and it was really difficult to get a good nights sleep, particularly as the football board was incredibly sure and I couldn’t stretch on the bed.
- Andrew (8/5): -
- Stevenson (10/5): Wonderful weekend away - Julie was a wonderful host. We felt very welcome.
Breakfast was amazing.
The location was perfect just a couple of minutes walk into the centre.
I would highly recommend Church Hill House Would have liked puffier pillows but then that is my prefetence.
- Ovey (9/5): Ideal break while running eryri marathon. - Great convenient location in the heart of Betws y coed, spotlessly clean and a very warm welcome. Good breakfast too! Thanks to a lovely host Julie. A great stay - nothing needs to change!
- Ralph (9/5): -
- Janice (10/5): -
- Siobhan (10/5): -
- Lynsey (8/5): A great location - Lovely comfortable beds. Room clean, and tea and coffee facilities in room which pleased my husband. Lady who served the breakfast was really friendly and chatty. Very small shower cubicle
- Lorraine (8/5): -
- Catherine (10/5): Would recommend. - Well located and comfortable property with onsite parking. Lovely breakfast.
- Trish (9/5): -
- Herbert (9/5): -
- Luke (10/5): Came for the race weekend and met some wonderful people. Will definitely be coming back here next year!! -
- Vijaysinh (8/5): -
- MP Bombeke (9/5): Mooie ligging - Vriendelijk personeel. Vlak bij het centrum. Goede matras.
- Paul (9/5): Very enjoyable - Location is very good, Breakfast lovely, Staff all very friendly and helpful. Nice clean room. Parking in property carpark, very tight, Parked on the street out front, not a problem. All was very nice, price top end, but fully booked ! so what can you say.
Yes I would stay there again.
- Janet (9/5): - A very welcoming place to stay. We were happily greeted by our host who was friendly and helpful. She also cooked an excellent breakfast each morning. Beautiful little town and good basis to visit the area. The room was not large but enough space for us to fit and had a beautiful view of the abbey out the window. Easy access to pubs and shops. Nothing
- joe (10/5): -
- Burrows (6/5): Basic accommodation in quiet setting with friendly staff - The situation
Comfortable beds
Quiet room Very basic room. No pictures on walls. No shelves or hooks in bathroom
No armchair
Nowhere to place soap in shower. No fresh fruit or fresh tomatoes for breakfast
- kelli (10/5): Overall excellent quiet and comfortable stay - The location was in a really good area especially for swallow falls that wasn't far to walk. The overall experience and staff were excellent. The staff couldn't do enough to help. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely scenery from the window to.The beds were so comfortable and the mattresses was nothing ive ever had before in a B&B most of them are uncomfortable. I had a very good night's sleep. Really close to Zipworld. I will be returning. The parking was a bit of a tight squeeze and not many cars could fit in.
- Vicky (9/5): Enjoyable stay at Church hill house - The location was perfect, quiet, and just off the main road but walkable to everything. We had the family room accessed at the rear with its own door, we really liked this, and it was very spacious for us as a family of four, and the room was very clean. The tables outside the front of the property were lovely to sit in the morning with a cuppa to enjoy the views and for an evening drink with friends. Hosts were very kind and arranged for us to have a bigger table for breakfast to accommodate our friends joining us who were also staying, cooked breakfast was very nice and service was quick. I liked the fresh filtered coffee that you can help yourself with and the fresh orange juice. Shops and restaurants a short walk away and plenty of walks around, we wished we had stayed longer. If I had to say anything, I would say the beds were slightly uncomfortable, and the floorboards in the room above were very squeaky when we were trying to get to sleep with the people upstairs walking around but it wouldn't stop us staying again. Also no fruit offered at breakfast which would have been a nice touch as my friend ended up buying some from the shop to have at breakfast
- Graham (8/5): -
- Thomas (10/5): Ein guter Startpunkt für Wanderungen in die Umgebung. - Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Nähe zum Bahnhof ist prima. Das Frühstück war sehr gut.
- Anna (9/5): - The location is in the city center. 5 min walk from the train station. The guest house is very cosy and lovely. Nice breakfast. Very friendly hosts. It is relatively expensive, especially for the room which is that small.
- McIlveen (8/5): Perfect for what we needed - Central to town activities Breakfast was disappointing, but staff very pleasant and helpful
- viktorija (7/5): - Very good location, clean room and friendly staff. The only niggle is breakfast where we felt sausages were quite cheap, I would have loved a better quality breakfast.
- Sarah (7/5): Lovely place, but motion sensors were a problem for me. - The location is great. In a quiet location off the main road. The beds were comfortable. We had everything we needed including a fan. I particularly liked having a teapot to brew several cups of tea. Sadly due to the fact that people aren’t good at turning off the lights in their room when they go out, the owner has been forced to install motion sensors on the bathroom lights. Every time you use the toilet during the night, the light and fan goes on, waking up my husband and vice verse.
- Tomasz (10/5): -
- Kiran (9/5): - Beautiful town and great service from church hill house .. recommend to anybody visiting.
- Gina (10/5): Picturesque and lovely staff - Perfect setting to explore North Wales. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Will be returning! N/A
- Paul (10/5): -
- Naphatr (7/5): -
- Steve (8/5): -
- Naresh Soni (8/5): -
- Ian (10/5): - Perfect location. We had a family room which was lovely spacious, clean - perfect for us. Breakfast was lovely too. Staff wonderful and welcoming.
- Kasper (8/5): Fijne B&B - Gunstig gelegen B&B.
- Katie (10/5): Will stay again :) - Should be rated as a 4 star super clean even did room service after 1 night with fresh towels good variety of breakfast included
- A J (9/5): Great stay. Perfect for what we wanted. Thanks - Arrived earlier than check-in time but Julie very welcoming and was able to go to room. Very helpful in explaining about local transport (or lack of!) and went the extra mile to help us reach our destination without a car
- Anusorn (10/5): -
- Ashish (10/5): I love it - I like this hotel for many reasons — the friendly staff, the great location, and the vibrant nightlife. But most importantly, the wonderful host made my stay unforgettable. No thing to say
- Srijana (10/5): It was a beautiful place and Julie was very nice and helpful , very flexible. Overall we had a pleasant stay , would def - Everything and flexibility of owner Not applicable
- SARAH (9/5): Perfect location and setting for staying in Betws y Coed - Lovely top floor triple room with an amazing view across the church and woods (see pic!). Super clean and well laid out. Good tea and coffee facilities in the room and comfy beds. Great access into the town. Tight car park and only a few spaces. But on street spaces available once the day trippers leave.
- Steven (9/5): -
- Adrian (9/5): Weekend adventure - Great location and well looked after, Great breakfast 👌
Nice simple comfy room 👌 and carparking in the village centre.
- Reinhard (9/5): Excellent for a langer stay - Everything according to description
- Minna (9/5): -
- Julie (9/5): - Excellent location, quiet BnB, friendly hostess and staff, nice breakfast The room got a bit too warm at night in spite of the open window but that's a detail as everything else was perfect
- Mark (7/5): -
- Josue (8/5): - Love this family hotel l located in a beautiful area, super friendly staff , room super comfy, we love it
- Michael Sims (9/5): -

- Aine (10/5): The stay from start to finish was perfect and made our weekend away a memorable one! - Great location in the middle of the village and easy access to the Sherpa Bus to get to Snowdon. Fabulous cosy yet spacious room with a lovely view. Julie was really helpful in all our dealings. We did not arrive until late and Julie made the check in process really straightforward. The breakfast was lovely - continental on first morning as we left early for a hike and a hearty warm Welsh breakfast on our second morning. Check out was quick and simple. I have already recommended Church Hill House to friends and family.
- Anne (10/5): -
- Lillian (10/5): - The location was very convenient. It was quiet. Off road parking. Wonderful breakfast. .
- Abbie (10/5): Thank you ! - Great location, bus on door step to Snowdon, breakfast packed waiting for us to collect to take out!
- Amanda (8/5): -
- Jenny (7/5): Pleasant yet basic stay in the heart of Betws Y Coed - Excellent location in the middle of the village. Ideal walking distance to all bars, restaurants and shops.
Staff at breakfast was very friendly and welcoming.
Nice touching having top ups of tea, coffee and fresh towels to help yourself to. The room was quite basic considering the price per night. We could hear other guests in their rooms, floorboards were creaky and the room in need of modernisation.
The breakfast was average.
- HUGH (9/5): A DELIGHTFUL TWO-NIGHT STAY IN BETWS-Y-COED. - I've just spent a couple of days in the very picturesque town of Betwys Coed, staying at the homely Church Hill House Hotel and warmly welcomed by hosts Julie and Tony. The grounds and garden are beautifully maintained, and thankfully the weather was sunny for most of the time, to make sitting outside all the more enjoyable. The cooked breakfast was delicious with plenty of cereals to choose from. Betws-y-Coed is a beautiful village, with stunning scenery nearby, including the Swallow Falls and is well-served by trains and buses to other parts of Wales. A big 'thank you' to everyone! Everything was fine.
- Steven (10/5): Perfect - Clean quiet perfect location for exploring the area and pubs and restaurants all 5 mins walk Nothing all good!
- Eric (10/5): Great place near to the center and restaurants - Very clean, Very comfortable bed, Very quiet at night. The breakfast could do with another slice of bacon and another sausage. Also there was no Porridge which was asked for by more than one guest.
- Lisa (6/5): It was OK cooked breakfast wasn't hot and watery because of mushrooms not being drained properly - Was on top floor 4 lots of stairs which I struggled with .booked family room but room had 3x single beds Being on top floor
- Patrick (10/5): - Friendly host. Comfortable beds. USB sockets. Great shower. Choice of vegetarian or Welsh full breakfast. N/A
- DAVID (10/5): Brilliant - We have been there for over 8tears brilliant Nothing
- Larry (9/5): Enjoyable two night stay. - Conveniently situated Parking..would recommend if possible to park on quiet road outside as space/parking very tight behind property
