Guest Reviews
- Igor (10/5): - Very calm and quiet place, with eco built houses on trees, nice outdoor, comfortable parking zone, great restoraunt that is also a co-working place and even shop inside! Stuff is very welcome, definitely recomend this place for solo tourists!
- Yash (2/5): - I booked this property for four days, but what I experienced was beyond disappointing—it was an absolute nightmare. I arrived around 11 and was taken to what they called a “tree house,” but in reality, it looked more like a Mumbai chawl disguised as “art.” The place was filthy—unclean bedsheets, no attached washroom, mosquitoes everywhere, and stagnant water surrounding the area. It was disgusting and completely unhygienic.
This is hands down one of the worst stays imaginable. I couldn’t even tolerate staying there for a night. I ran away from this hellhole the same night and had to book another place at double the cost just to escape this mess. The next evening, I returned the keys and demanded a refund through Expedia. Despite multiple calls and follow-ups from Expedia, the property shamelessly refused to refund my money.
This stay is a scam, plain and simple. They have the worst accommodations, and I repeat—DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE, even for a single night. Save yourself the frustration, anger, and additional expenses.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Comfortable sleeping arrangements, felt very well looked after by everyone at Saraya. A really special place - definitely worth a visit.
- Neer (10/5): - We love to visit there Experience was great
Owner deeksha ji lovely and caring person
We met there lot of cutie pies dogs cats toutoise fishes snake too.care taker Mr raj ,worker Mr Ashok and Satish and @llvolunteers good people.especially beki from Sydney my favorite one...she is cute pretty lovely enough and always ready for doing help ..... unfortunately I couldn't get her number...I heartly invite oll u people to my place Indore....do come and let us know...I would love to b in touch with all of them.❤️
- George (6/5): Intriguing - The room was designed and decorated beautifully, and was exactly as described... a mud hut! However, perhaps the soft furnishings had been left inside for a time prior to arrival, as they smelt damp. This unfortunately exacerbated my partner's asthma when laying in bed. Also, the mosquito net did not fit the bed and had a huge hole in it and we were bitten badly!
The location was very good, close to shops and restaurants. Though if you have not been before, it can take a while to find! It is not immediately obvious when travelling along the main road through Sangolda, as it is set back from the road.
The staff are friendly and helpful, especially with arranging scooter hire and taxis. The food and drink was organic, locally sourced from their farm and vegetarian, with the option for gluten free... it was delicious! There are no meat options or mainstream drinks (coca-cola etc.), and although this was not an issue to us, this is one aspect of 'eco-living' that they uphold well.
Another aspect of 'eco-living' that Saraya implements, is not flushing toilet roll, instead they ask you to put it in the bin! We are not sure why, but the issue was that the bins did not have lids. Ultimately we found the whole concept a bit awkward!
Overall, for somewhere that advertises and prides themselves on being 'eco-friendly', they do a pretty good job. However, in today's society, with its accompanying needs, this is ultimately difficult to fully achieve, and we felt that it showed here.
- Isha (10/5): Away from the noise yet near ATM, Stores, Food etc - My friend and I had to check in at noon on 6th Feb. We had taken a red eye the same night so we landed way early than expected. She had an injury which got worse while at the airport so we had to reach the hotel at 7 am itself. The cab driver couldn't find the address so the manager responded nearly at 6:30 am considering our situation to guide the driver. Anyway, the manager was courteous and kind and offered us to stay in the lobby along with lots of ice-cubes, a healthy dose of kittens and free breakfast. He made sure my friend was comfortable. The owner and the manager went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. I celebrated my birthday with the volunteers which was a memorable experience. It's a vegetarian community - the food is delicious. The cafe stays open from 7 pm to 11 pm except Wednesdays - the pizzas are to die for. They grow their own spices in the backyard. The art gallery and the cafe lighting and vibe - excellent place to get clicked. The friendly staff don't really get in your way - you can go do your thing. We stayed in the mudhouse 1, big room with a double bed, fan decent lighting, big bathroom, hot water, well flushing toilet - just what a bunch of neat freak girls need! Lighting was really nice. It's an earthy place literally and figuratively - perfect retreat for nature lovers - not too secluded yet not too in the middle of it all - perfect balance. The free breakfast was alright, nothing fancy, could be better, and the lunch pretty good.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good hotel, nice cold coffee.beachs within 8km - Good hotel.. must experience tree house.beachs within 8 km . Totally veg food available but not indian
- Verified traveler (10/5): Relaxed and chilled out! - Excellent place to stay, very relaxed and chilled atmosphere. Stayed in a tree house, it was beautiful. Well kept and very clean. Restaurant was lovely, good food. AMAZING BREAKFAST! Staff seems to form a small family. Creating a very warm and inviting place.
- james (8/5): Eco friendly accommodation. - If you like something different from the ordinary this is the place for you. Don't expect luxury accommodation as you'll be staying in a hut but it's a clean place with friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): One of the best places to stay - Tierd of the typical hotel rooms I went ahead with Saraya and it was on of the best stays ever, the owner has designed each and everything nd its done beautifully. The rooms r spacious Nd feels really close to nature with the natural mud house. The best part is the artificial river which the owner had made and while sleeping u can hear the calm voice of the river flowing....
- alok (2/5): Horrible place, horrible service, rude owner. - Property is good if you wanna try something else in Goa but horrible service. You will have to chase the staff to get your room cleaning done. No one bothers to change your bedsheets even. I have slept with spiders, cobweb, lizards, ants etc..
Very rude & mannerless owner. If you ask her to get the cleaning done, you will get to hear that this is not done everyday and "I am not here to argue". Seriously, do you think people visit your place to argue with you..
I have checked out a day before because of all this. Also cancelled my booking that i have made for next visit after reading review..
A big "NO" from myside. Will never visit this place and will never recommend anyone.
- Maya (8/5): Super unique, artistic ecostay - worth a stay! - The mud huts are really quite special, with trees growing into the rooms, etc. It's evident that every little detail has been considered, and the craftsmanship is great. The staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, internet is only accessible in the common areas by the cafe and gallery, and there's really nowhere to go within walking distance. Also be aware of the woodland creatures who steal your soap, and possibly turn a leather bag into a snack.
- Pankaj (8/5): Nice Hotel close to Nature , beaches and clubs - Awesome place to stay for a change
Young and helpful staff
homely food..
- Natraj (6/5): very nice experience and secure. - everything is ok but breakfast is not good for Indian peoples.
- nishant (10/5): Value for money... - One of the best places when price is the issue. Will visit there again.
