• Margaret Helen (10/5): One of the best places we’ve ever stayed, with outstanding hospitality, beautiful accommodation, and truly exceptional f - We had a wonderful weekend stay at The Queens in Ludlow, Shropshire. From the moment we arrived, the welcome from the staff was exceptional and we were shown to our beautiful courtyard apartment beside the beer garden. The apartment was spotless, bright, and extremely well equipped with everything we needed, including tea and coffee facilities, fresh milk, biscuits, toiletries, and even makeup remover pads. The bed was incredibly comfortable with crisp cotton sheets, and we slept so well. The beer garden was beautifully maintained with lovely hanging baskets and pots, making it feel so homely. Jayne the landlady was so friendly and took time to chat with us, which made our stay even more special. We also enjoyed an evening meal at The Queens and it was absolutely delicious, hot, freshly prepared, and one of the best meals we’ve had. Huge compliments to Jayne and Tim for their hospitality and amazing food. On departure we never felt rushed, and Jayne kindly wished us a safe journey home. We had such a lovely time visiting one of our favourite towns, Ludlow. One of the best places we’ve stayed and we would highly recommend it. Absolutely nothing everything was just perfect.

• Adam (9/5): Great location, amazing price, friendly hosts - Great location in the center of town, and an amazing price. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Even though it was right next to the pub garden, everyone left early enough that it was never noisy when we wanted to sleep. There was no air conditioning, but there were fans and enough windows that it was comfortable despite being warm outside. Our daughter loved the loft. Some minor issues: the shower faucet dripped and we couldn't shut it off all the way; the bathroom was a little dark at night because a light was burnt out.

I could not see a "pay and display' sign. wrongly assumed the charge is to be payed upon leaving the car park. Cost me £25 pounds to learn.

• Colin (9/5): - Great location, lovely accommodation. Meal in restaurant was very good and staff were most pleasant and helpful. Lack of parking was an inconvenience and access to accommodation was a little overgrown and dark in the night.

Beautiful Ludlow and all it has to offer is just right outside the door - so perfect in that sense. Take-aways on every corner and great traditional pubs and cafe’s We would have preferred a walk in shower. The tv was too high on the wall for easy viewing. We didn’t see any pictures of bathroom or where tv was on web site. We didn’t realise we had to use a pay as you go car park - wasn’t easy to work out 24 hour payment - it wasn’t far away but it was raining.

• Sharon (10/5): Great value, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. - A lovely stay, plenty of room and a comfortable bed. We slept really well. Jane managed to fit us in the restaurant when we arrived on Friday even though we hadn’t booked. The food was delicious and exceeded our expectations. All staff we came into contact with were brilliant, a good team and good fun. The location is central to Ludlow but also very quiet. On the doorstep for accessing this lovely town. We’d definitely return next time we come to Ludlow. Nothing negative

I would ask to rent it year-round if all my fantasies came true and I moved to Ludlow! Nothing not to love.

• Prittie (10/5): Beautiful Inn in Ludlow - Wonderful experience. Very friendly staff. The apartment behind the pub was nicely appointed. Although they were totally booked for dinner, they were able to find a table for us. A short walk brought us to the downtown with Ludlow Castle a few steps farther. What a great find!

The wider property has a lovely bar and restaurant and a great pub garden. Had an issue with lighting in the bathroom, which host Jane did her best to resolve for me quickly and with a smile. If you don’t like heights, the mezzanine floor may be challenging for you.

We really appreciated the thoughtful touches such as the fridge, toaster, microwave, a pint of milk, and even a packet of biscuits on arrival. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. While there’s no parking on site, there’s a reasonably priced car park virtually opposite, which was very convenient. We’d happily stay again!

Jane and Tim run a fantastic ship, the pub and room is immaculately clean, the service is extremely good, friendly and professional. Jane is like a whirlwind, if shes not serving on the bar, cleaning the toilets, taking orders or collecting glasses, she always smiling and an absolute pleasure to be around. We only stayed for 2 nights but we will return... The food is exceptional, the choices cater for all. Having to go home!!

• Philip (9/5): Great room in central Ludlow - Really pleasant room in central location in Ludlow, a really pretty old market town set in stunning countryside. Proprietor was really nice and very helpful. Room was lovely, and was set up to self cater if desired, but food served in the Queens was excellent. Room was alongside garden terrace area; we were not disturbed by noise in March, but this might be an issue in the warmer days of summer

Only slight drawback, is that there is no on site parking if this is very important for you. But there is cheap parking only a couple of minutes away. It was not a problem for us.

Great location close to the centre of town, was easy to walk to the castle, the market, the shops and the pubs/restaurants of Ludlow. The staff were very welcoming, and the owner (Jane) was also very nice. We stayed in the lower bungalow on Friday and Saturday night. It was very clean and tidy, and had all of the amenities we could need. We are at the restaurant on the Saturday evening, and the food was delicious. We would very happily stay here again if returning to Ludlow.

• lois (10/5): Lovely stay at the queens - Very comfortable stay at the queens. Lovely room with self catering , fridge , microwave, kettle, tea & coffee. Good shower and nice fluffy towels. Only downside was the bed was extra bouncy! Lovely helpful staff, would stay again
