• Simone (8/5): A lovely property for a very good price! Recommend it for anyone on a budget! - Location is great! The new owners very helpful and nice! Food is good and fairly priced It’s not that I didn’t like it, but for future reference…. If you wish for a quiet room select the mountain facing rooms. I can sleep through anything so I didn’t mind the street side. The owners were clear about it and I can sleep through a storm, so when they offered me to move to another room I simply didn’t want to move all my stuff.

• Sheena (8/5): - Nice and spacious rooms, but the bathroom doesn't look great. Didn't realised it is above a restaurant which means it can be a bit noisy but there are food options. They don't turn on their aircon in the restaurant or lobby so can be hot as soon as you leave your room.

• Andrea (9/5): Superb - Good value for the money you pay. I stayed 2 nights only. The room is spacious and has everything you need. A balcony with a nice view on the mountains was very pretty. Nice stuff. Easy check in. No elevator so if you have a big luggage might be an issue to pick up your luggage to 3d floor but it’s small thing.

• Saeran (9/5): Solid spot in Karon Beach - Really spacious room, with a cute view and balcony. Room was cleaned everyday. Just over a 5 minutes walk to the beach, and the bus comes right past the property if you want to go to Phuket Town. The air con was a little underpowered for the size of the room and would take 2-3 hours to fully cool. The reception only seems to open around 9am meaning the staff aren’t available in the mornings.

My favourite part was the maybe bed which was the most comfortable during my trip. It was also a large room. Staff were friendly and helpful. My only gripe is that the bathroom was a bit smelly and the air conditioner seemed like a small unit for such a large room

Dave was very helpful and friendly, as were his staff. We got help with planning our activities. We really enjoyed our stay. Nothing really was a problem. Sunset view room, doesn't really have a good view of beach or anything, but it's a good room on 3rd floor. It wasn't a problem for us, but consider your fitness to climb up 3 flight of steps.

• Carol (10/5): Exceptional - I can't recommend this place enough. The owner understands hospitality and is always available if anything is needed. That means every detail is covered. Little things some places forget like a full length mirror and black out curtains that actually work. The location is near everything - stores, 7-11, restaurants, and the beach. There are street vendors always out front plus a restaurant downstairs. Super clean. High quality cotton sheets and comfortable bed. AC works great. There's always hot water. Extra large room and ample places to put your things, which is appreciated if you're staying 4 weeks like me. Good sound insulation between rooms. Lovely staff. Will absolutely stay here again next time. No complaints!

• Milan (10/5): - I went to Karon for 3 weeks for vacation. I had a very pleasant stay at Mellow space. The owner Dave, wife and staff where fantastic and very service minded. The rooms are quiet, clean and the air condition works without fault. The hotel also got an resturant with a good mix of asian and western food, I highly recommended the restaurant. Next time I return to Karon I will definitely make mellowspace my first choice. The hotel is great.

Dave is lovely and will help you with everyrything if necessary. Be aware that some of the rooms are on the busy road side, but windows are soundproof.

• 364martyp (8/5): Very pleasant hotel, wonderful staff! - We stayed at the Mellow Space Boutique approximately 2 weeks. The restaurant and staff are excellent! I'm especially thankful for how they helped me after I accidentally left my tiny bag containing my passport, credit card, etc., in the taxi that brought us back from our trip to see Big Buddha. I'm also extremely thankful for the honest and helpful taxi driver who brought my bag back to me that same day! The staff are also very conscientious and hard working! This pleasant hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of anything you might need.

The location is fantastic, with everything conveniently nearby, and the beach is just a few minutes' walk away. The restaurant in the ground floor also is a benefit. There's nothing that i didn't like. The place was okay. However, it's suitable for a quick stay or sleeping only because there's nothing to do other than that. Also the bathroom was quite poor but clean.

We had a Mountain View room which I would recommend as this was nice and quiet the rooms on the front of the hotel may have a little noise as it is on a busy road (I say may as we did not stay in one just the impression I got) the rooms were spacious with quiet AC and a nice balcony. We ate at the restaurant downstairs a few times and it was adequate. Need to mention Dave the owner who was a lovely bloke and very helpful.

Water and coffee was refilled every time housekeeping finished with the room. The resturant had a large menu with both thai and international food. The food was great! We endured our stay much, it was a 5-star experience in every way.

Very friendly management and staff who really can’t do enough for you. Excellent food too. And 1 of the most extensive menus I’ve ever seen. There’s just so much choice. You could eat there every day for a month and not eat the same thing twice. I loved just sitting there with a beer, some food and chilling. Mellow Space and its team were definitely a big part of our special time in Phuket. Can’t wait until next year to get back again.

Our room was spacious and spotless, with fresh linen, towels and water every day. Great location. It was close to the beach and the town centre was only a short walk away which lent to a peaceful sleep. We will definitely be back again.

Short walk to the beautiful beach. There is a good restaurant on site serving a variety of cuisines and showing sports on tv (without being obtrusive). The team were very helpful and friendly, going above and beyond on occasion. We tried to extend our stay but they were understandably fully booked.

Only 5 min walk to the beach and loads of restaurants, bars, etc. in front of your doorstep. Only downside: the road right in front of the hotel is very busy and therefore quite noisy (one of the main roads).

The hotel is on the road, but my "mountain view" room was very quiet with peaceful green scenery. I'm sure you can smooth out any issues for short- and long-term stays, owner Dave and his staff are friendly and very helpful. Wifi in the room was slower and less reliable than in other good hotels around.
• bigjohn63 (10/5): Wonderful time at the Mello Space Guest House - Being an older traveller to Thailand especially Karon Beach Phuket I regularly stay at Mello Space there Dave the owner who I've known a few year now and is a friend has a wonderful friendy attitude towards all his guests who stay there Large beautifully clean bedrooms and fresh linen every day creates a very comfortable stay there after a busy day for total relaxation The beach is walking distance away with restaurants and bars as you stroll there in your own time Dave has a terrific restaurant at his own place at Mello with a selection of tasty choices of foods to each European or delicious Thai food of your choice The Guest house has mini marts 7/11 banks and atm machines across the road and a laundry service just a short walk away So all in all if your a first time visitor to Phuket Karon and I can not recommend this super super guest house enough

Ten minutes walk to the beach close to the supermarket pharmacy next door safe banks and cash points close - Been home now from my holiday in Phuket Thailand and was fortunate enough to stay at the Mello Space boutique rooms Karon Beach again, as this is my favourite Guest House in Karon Beach Phuket The standards and quality of the service there is exceptional every time I visit at Daves the owner of this establishment and with his wife som pong the chef cooking superb Thai and European food there making it a faultless combination Beautiful clean bedrooms with a fresh change of linen every day with balconies in every room making this holiday a dream come true You will will not be disappointed and with Dave always at hand giving helpful advice this Guest House is Premier league in my opinion

Everything was spot on room cleaned room everyday with 2 bottles of water hot water on demand and cable TV with lots of channels good a/c. Location is 10 mins from the beach with plenty of bars and restaurants near 7/11 across the road. Although the hotel has a restaurant serving western and Thai food.Dave the owner is very helpful with any of your requests and will help with any local knowledge from taxis to days out. Will be staying there everytime I visit Phuket cheers

• Caddrick (10/5): Paradise Phuket - Once again I had the great pleasure of staying at Mellow Space for a couple of weeks and the place is superb ! Spotlessly clean, warm and friendly staff who are always ready to help, fantastic bed and the food is superb. I can't wait to go back and will be booking early for Christmas 2023 to avoid disappointment.
• Alisa (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect place with great location - about 5 minutes to the beach and quite away from the noise. There are different cafes, restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The room was cleaned every day (+ they always left 2 bottles of water for us each time), аnd had very comfortable bed, black-out curtains (best we've ever seen), a desk we could comfortably work at with laptops (+ another desk and chair on the balcony) and an amasing forest/mountains view. The owner and the staff are frendly and very helpful, and we are looking forward to our next visit. We were visiting during high season, maybe that's why wifi upstairs wasn't very reliable for video-calls (sometimes was lagging quite a bit), but there is another wifi (which Dave recommended to us in advance, and it was always flawless) in hotel lounge/cafe on the first floor that we could always use if needed.
• Shiloh (10/5): Exceptional - The staff, the facilities which were working properly, the quiet room and the value for money. We were 4th floor without elevator, so take this into consideration. Overall it’s not so bad though.
• Vijay (10/5): Awesome place - I loved staying at MellowSpace. The room was large, bed was awesome, offered great mountain views and was generally a fantastic location close to Karon beach. Dave, the owner, is an amazing guy. He helped me out with a bunch of recommendations and overall made me feel so welcome. He was fun to talk to as well and shared a lot of history about how Phuket has evolved over the years. I strongly - make that very strongly recommend the place!

There was nothing unsatisfactory. Everything was fantastic.

Choice of dishes is suprizingly huge, coocked well and tasty. David makes everyone feel welcome and stuff is very friendly. Complementary tea could be better as lipton is far from perfection. Safe box wasn't in order in our room, we didn't need it but it often comes handy for travallers.

• Brendan (10/5): Exceptional - The owner Dave is a very nice guy. The room we stayed in was really spacious, comfortable and quiet with a nice view of the mountain. Great location close to Karon beach, banks, 7-11, bars and restaurants. Less than 10 min walk from the Smart bus stop which runs up and down the west side of the island for 100 THB. A public bus to Phuket town stops on the road where the hotel is located and only costs 40 THB.

• Kevin (10/5): Nice Botique Hotel Near Karon Beach - A nice botique hotel. Dan the owner is amiable and went out of his way to ensure I had a smooth check-in even though my arrival was late in the evening. Rooms were clean. Air-conditioning and ceiling fan were in good condition. Black out curtains were a plus. Shower was basic but serviceable. There were no problems with the internet connection. I had a room on the moutain side which was opposite the main road and quiet. The beach is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. There are plenty of convenience stores and restaurants in the area. [There is a restaurant at the Mellow Space entrance with a wide variety of selections. A 10% discount is given for orders over 300 Baht. ] I would definitely recommend this hotel.
• Jan (10/5): - Staff was friendly and helpful and rooms were spotless, bed was comfy and good location away from bustle of super-touristy areas of the city, but with great street food opposite the road (try the pad thai at night, it’s awesome). Also lovely views of the mountains in the mountain view room!

• dite (8/5): - The location is good and near to the beach. We arrived at about 10:30p.m, the employee was waiting for us. Thanks! 7/11 shop is opposite. That's good. The problem is that crossing the road should be careful. Because motorbike or care are driving fast. the road is the main road. But we will choos this hotel again when we go to Tailand next time.

The breakfast big boy was the best breakfast we had in 3 weeks through thailand.Dave the owner was very helpful when we asked him questions on places to go .His staff were always polite and smiling.We would stay there again if we ever go back to koran beach. • Verified traveler (6/5): - For this price you cant do anything wrong with it. Walk to the beach is about 5 minutes. Lot of restaurants around. Baars were very empty though
• Verified traveler (6/5): Nice space but not value for money - Room is spacious and bright with a comfy bed, but I couldn’t see why is called boutique room. Decoration and furniture are old and minimal. Bathroom was ok with Shower wc and sink together. Not cheap tough.
• len (8/5): Great Hotel Good location - Ideal place to stay while in Karon, close to everything, very comfortable hotel rooms , excellent restaurant downstairs. Dave the owner made us feel so welcome, will definitely be back.
• Tim (10/5): Great place for a family - Can't say enough good things about Mellow Space Boutique Rooms. It is was it calls itself. Very mellow. I stayed there with my wife and 5 year old in Jan/Feb 2017. The owner, Dave, was there both for our arrival and our departure and was always available to help with ideas for day trips or to answer any questions. He had just put in a new restaurant in December 2016 and early January 2017. Turns out it was one of our favorite places to eat, so we ate there almost every day for at least one meal. The staff was great and friendly and the room was always clean. Perfect place for a family. Simple, but always very clean and a 5 minute walk past all the shops to get to the beach. We had a mountain side room, which provided an awesome view. We had breakfast on the balcony each morning. I'm super sensitive to mosquitoes and we never use air conditioning and prefer an open sliding glass door, so I was happy there was no issue with that. I just sprayed my feet with a light dusting of non-toxic citronella (that I bought at the small store next door) and I didn't have any problems with them. Everything is close by. Pharmacy, good places to eat, a 7-11 accross the street, & a locally owned minute market next door. Highly recommend for families or those that enjoy quiet. Those I spoke to that had street side rooms said they didn't have any problems with noise, so if you don't mind A/C then I'm sure that side of the hotel is great as well. Will definitely be going back!
