• Bob (10/5): Lovely place with caring people! - We absolutely loved our 3 nights at Il Sole Di Ranco. Andrea made us the nicest eggs and coffee every morning, and everyone was super attentive. We will be back one day!

Och inte minst - fantastisk service. Familjeägt hotell sedan 1800-talet och de vet hur man erbjuder det lilla extra som gör gästerna nöjda. Bra mat i restaurangen också och fin frukost. Inget. Allt bra.

Se dovessi tornare non prenoterei una camera double: in fase di prenotazione non avevo capito fosse su due piani. Non era nemmeno specificato che fosse fornita di un piccolo balcone non molto utilizzabile. Non mi è piaciuta la cena al ristorante: i prezzi sono troppo alti rispetto a i piatti proposti: un semplice merluzzo lessato con una porzione di verdura non può costare € 30!

Ho trovato tutto fantastico, la posizione vista lago, la pulizia e l’eleganza degli ambienti, la cortesia e disponibilità di tutto lo staff e l’eccezionale cucina. Anche se breve, la mia vacanza qui mi ha rigenerata.

The hotel has a beautiful early 20th century feel, but modernised and renovated. Beautiful gardens, excellent views and a very good restaurant. The breakfast was perfect. Thank you! All was great!

Das Zimmer war überheizt, das Problem ließ sich aber lösen

• Joerg (10/5): Gehobenes Ambiente, aber jeden Euro wert! - Das Frühstück ist wirklich außergewöhnlich und bei gutem Wetter kann man auf der Terrasse mit herrlichem Blick auf den Lago Maggiore frühstücken. Die Parkplätze sind großzügig und man kann erst im Hotelinnenhof parken, um auszuladen und dann zu den Parkplätzen am unteren Ende des Grundstücks fahren. Unser Zimmer hatte eine eigene Terrasse und sogar einen Whirlpool. Das restaurant ist auch sehr gut und bietet eine gute Auswahl an gehobener lombardischer Küche. Es gibt einen schönen Außenpool mit Saune, den wir aber aufgrund des schlechten und kühlen Wetters nicht nutzen konnten (schade, es gab ein eigenen Korb im Badezimmer mit Badeutensilien (Handtücher, badeschlappen). das Personal war jederzeit äußerst hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Wir denken immer noch an den morgendlichen Capucchino... Das Wetter :-( - ansonsten war wirklich alles perfekt

• Gerlinde (9/5): Hier kann man die Seele baumeln lassen - Bei der Ankunft wurden wir sehr nett empfangen und unsere Koffer wurden vom Auto ins Zimmer gebracht. Diesen Service haben wir sehr gerne in Anspruch genommen, da das Gelände leider am Hang liegt und viele Stufen zu bewältigen waren. Andererseits ist es auch diese Hanglage, welche das Hotel so außergewöhnlich macht. Toller Ausblick über den See - wunderbar. Im Garten gibt es eine Sauna, welche für uns angeheizt worden wäre, wir aber nicht genutzt haben. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet und lies keine Wünsche offen. Im Sommer ist es sicherlich ein Traum dabei auf der Terrasse zu sitzen und über den See zu blicken. Ich hatte dieses Hotel für einen kurzen Zwischenstopp ausgewählt, da es anscheinend über ein ausgezeichnetes Restaurant verfügt. Leider hatte es an unserem Reisetag geschlossen, uns wurde aber mit einer Empfehlung und einer Reservierung in einem Hotel in der Nähe geholfen.

Vom Zimmer hatten wir einen sehr tollen Blick auf dem See. Auch beim Frühstück und Abendessen konnte man direkt auf den See schauen. Der Pool-Bereich ist sehr schön anlegt und gepflegt.

• Alan (9/5): An amazing place for a relaxed stay for a couple of days - Very nice small family-run hotel. Andrea was very helpful and nice. Our split-floor room was spacious, and the view was amazing. The pool area was either empty or almost empty most of the time, so it felt like we had a private pool. The restaurant was great, but you need to book a table way in advance. An amazing place for a quiet and relaxed stay for a few days. WiFi was painfully slow (but stable). We booked a table for dinner for the first night but decided to go by ear for the next time, but when we decided to go again there was no table available for like a week. Maybe a system with "first dibs" for hotel guests should be devised. Continental breakfast could use some variation day-to-day.

This is not the hotels fault but on the Friday night we stayed the local bar on the lake had a very loud DJ set going - not great ambience for such an elegant restaurant and hotel.
• John (10/5): A beautiful setting in a quaint town with a special restaurant. - A beautiful setting in a quaint town, yet close to all the major attractions via an easy ferry ride. The pool is great and the chef has some unique take on Italian local dishes. Two minor suggestions: 1. WiFi coverage throughout the resort using one WiFi name instead of multiple logins when moving between locations. 2. Small glass enclosure to the showers so water does not go all over the floor.

• Nicola (10/5): An elegant, classic location on lake maggiore with excellent food, wine. Quiet, relaxing spa treat - Amazing location with views over the lake, our own relaxing chairs outside. The infinity pool (unheated) with sauna and steamroom were great. The food was amazing. A very calm, quiet, relaxing place (note we were outside of high season). The room decor wasn't our style.

• Richard (10/5): What a find!!!! - Such a perfect hotel. Location, pool, room, staff, restaurant all made for a lovely few days. Very large rooms with great views. The restaurant was a draw for people from all around it seems and rightly so. Great to sit out on the veranda and enjoy great service food and views. Felt very special. Bed not the comfiest.
