• Hanna (1/5): Eine maßlose Enttäuschung - Gefallen hat uns leider fast gar nichts. Der Garten vor dem Eingang vielleicht. Er war winzig und es gab eine Handvoll Koi Karpfen. Das Essen war relativ gut. Stand aber in keiner Relation zum Preis. Wir wussten das nicht und haben das Menü vor gebucht und konnten nicht mehr stornieren. Um punkt acht Uhr wird man hinauskomplementiert. Keine Bar im Hotel, nur ein Aufenthaltsraum, der wie in einer Schülerherberge aussieht, der vormittags und nachmittags für wenige Stunden geöffnet ist. Wir haben ein 5 Sterne Haus gebucht und noch nicht einmal zwei Sterne bekommen. Mit einem ranzigen Kühlschrank in der Ecke, von der Wand abfallenden Tapete, direkt an einer viel befahrenen Straße. Laut. Ungepflegt. Unvorstellbar, wer diesem Haus Fünf Sterne gegeben hat. Auf den zerschlissenen Handtüchern waren Blutrückstände. Eine Zumutung!!! Und dafür mehr als 1000 Euro pro Nacht. Einfach enttäuschend. Kein Blick, nur auf den Hinterhof einer Fabrik oder so hinter einem Bretterverschlag. Das kleine Onsen voller Algen. Nachts sind die Autos neben unseren Kopfkissen vorbeigerattert. Alte Klimaanlage, war ebenfalls laut. Wir sind nach zwei Tagen gerädert abgefahren.

• Kristen (9/5): Luxurious ryokan with great hospitality. 5/5 stars! - Amazing service!! On arrival: Staff were waiting at the entrance on our arrival. They also offer shuttle bus for pickup but we opted to drive, and the staff always helped us with getting in and out of the Food: The breakfast everyday was amazing. The self-serve coffee machines were Starbucks branded which didn't matter too much but it was pretty handy when we were staying in for the day. There were tea options as well. The dinner was just as good, but have to book in advance. I had a special request which they accommodated really well. Room: Huge, spacious, comfortable. Has a little view of Fuji-san! Could fit a whole family and some! Location: The hotel was easily 10min walk to Lake Kawaguchiko. 15-20 to the station. 5-10min walk to Gusto/Ogino and other restaurants. Easily accessible on the main road. Staff: The female staff member (which I sadly didn't get the name of) who checked us in was super friendly and even gave us a tip for the fireworks that were on the night of our check in. When we drove off to the station on check-out she saw us in their shuttle and called for us to say bye. It was so lovely! Staff were very attentive and always checking up on us. I spoke little japanese but the staff tried to speak back to me in japanese which was very nice as I got to practice as well. Overall a wonderful stay!! A couple of things.... The onsen was outside and wasn't covered so out of the 3 nights we stayed there, we could only use it once because it was raining the other days. As much as we wanted to try the onsen under the rain, the temperature was about 8-10 deg Celsius so we weren't brave enough to be undressed half cold and half hot. We also realised that on the other side of our outdoor onsen was the street and the carpark! We weren't expecting anyone to jump over the fence and peek, but we felt a bit exposed after finding that out. Our room was located near the dining area and the smoking area. Convenient for food, but whenever we walk out we basically encounter guests who have just used the smoking room so outside our door always smelled like smoke and cigarettes. There was high traffic outside our door as well because of the dining area, and the staff door that was used frequently throughout the day. The toilet was near the entrance so it was a bit awkward when we heard people pass as we used it. Luckily, the sitting area and bedroom were a bit more separated for privacy.

• Samantha (10/5): - Beautiful buildings and incredible staff. The breakfast was large and delicious with slight changes between days. The lounge area had a wide selection of drinks and the welcome snack was tasty. The amenities provided were all of great quality. No views of Mt. Fuji within the hotel, but it was visible once you stepped off the property. My bed was a little hard, but my partner's was perfect.

• Raziah (9/5): True Japanese Ryokan and Onsen experience. - From the arrival, the staff were very welcoming. Our rooms were immaculate and were beyond our expectations. The breakfast was a western breakfast we opted for, omelette, soup, steamed vegetables, yoghurt, fruit and a variety of breads. The location was central. walking distance to the lake.

This is the best staff I have ever encountered, so inviting, helpful, and nice. The ryokan itself is outstanding. The room was beautiful, we loved the private onsen, stunning property, and great food. A really perfect experience. I will definitely include it in future trips to Japan. There was nothing I didn't like, it was all top notch. I had zero complaints.

The welcome was warm and genuine, and the staff showed such kindness, care, and attention throughout. The location was peaceful and beautiful, creating a truly relaxing atmosphere. The apartment itself was stunning, and the onsen experience was unforgettable. The food was very different to what we are used to, but it felt authentic and made the experience even more special. The stay is expensive, but it is clear why. The level of service, the setting, and the overall experience justify the cost. It truly felt like a unique and memorable experience.
• May (10/5): Luxurious and relaxing - All the staff were so welcoming. The breakfast and dinner were absolutely amazing. Our primary school aged daughter also had lots of choice for dinner. The room was fabulous. The bathroom suite was enormous and well thought out. The room highlight was the outdoor bath and terrace. Michelin level food!

The breakfast was also super good and ok the second day we got to see mt Fuji from the breakfast room. It was perfect

• Diane (7/5): Beautiful location, but management could be better. - The property is beautiful and we loved the open air bath in our room. The facility was ran with little flexibility. I really didn’t like that the staff comes and gets you 10 minutes before the designated eating time. And if you don’t answer in 30 seconds they ring the door bell again. I thought it was pretty rude. I would rather miss breakfast than have someone ring my doorbell repeatedly. The location was also pretty far from restaurants.

• Fallon (10/5): Phenomenal service, fantastic meals, and the perfect place to relax with amazing views of Mt Fuji. - This is a phenomenal stay! The staff are fantastic, very knowledgeable, and beyond helpful. They find ways to help make your stay/departure even more perfect than you could think. The shuttle service to and from the property is so nice when you have a lot of luggage like we did. The room and the open air onsen were immaculate and made for a very relaxing time. Every meal we had there (breakfast and dinner) were like eating at a Michelin restaurant. Such an amazing variety and they all tasted amazing. I would recommend Fuji Onsenji Yumedono to everyone! Nothing, we had an amazing stay.

• Natalie (10/5): Fantastic! - Fantastic! Perfect place to relax. The rooms are big and the private onsen was amazing. Staff were all wonderful and the breakfast was great (full Japanese breakfast experience). Would 100% recommend. If you dont opt in for dinner at the hotel (and do request that in advance if yoi wamt dinner there, otherwise they fill up!), there is a restaurant up the road called Hoto Tempura Wakana which was delicious.
• Davide (10/5): Perfect Mt Fuji getaway worth every penny - This is a stunning property and, while on the pricier side, is worth every penny. The staff makes you feel like a celebrity - they are so accommodating in every way possible and really go the extra mile to make your stay memorable. The room was spacious, clean and gorgeous with top notch amenities (heated floors in the bathroom, a Dyson Supersonic hair dryer, HUGE tub/shower area). But the real star of the show is the private onsen - you will feel as though you are in a private oasis which couldn't be any more perfect when visiting the area. Finally, the location is amazing offering spectacular views of Mt Fuji and just a short drive or 20 min. walk from the Kawaguchiko train station. If you're looking to spoil yourself or your partner when visiting Mt Fuji, this is the place to stay!

• Natshanin (3/5): If you are in Fujisan Area, Run Away! - Breakfast is fine. Rooms are nice and clean but no view at all. Worst service and staff manners in all of hotel in Japan. I have been traveling all around EU & Asia been to many 5 star hotels, this is one of the worst service one so far. Undoubtedly, all staffs are not Japanese not even one, they are all Indians so you should not expect Japanese standard service. They always have NO as an answer. They dont even have front desk or concierge to help booking restaurants and attractions. We asked them and they refuse to call to to book the strawberry farms at first, but then I insisted that 5 star should be able to help us as we could not speak Japanese, so at last 15minutes later, they decided to ask the guy at the small desk infront of restaurant to help us call. As all the farms are busy, we let them call about 8 places, then the guy said “this is the last call I can help you call”. Well, so if you expect 5 star service you have come to the wrong place. They need to check if you bring someone else in by impolitely looking at the car windows or when we checked in they said only 8:00am is available time for breakfast and I said thats too early why cant we have at 9:30? but they say No, you can have only 8:30am… Can I have Breakfast in the room then.. No… and if you are 5mins late for breakfast they would come to knock knock knock until you come out and when we are having breakfast they rush us to finish by 9:30am, at this price we paid but we dont even have a nice flexible morning.. Also, the room is clean and nice but no view at all, my room is literally next to the traffic light & road, doest like you are in Fuji area. Very less facilities too. So for 5,300usd for 2 rooms 2 nights, I dont think the service, facilities, hotel area&view and staffs manners have meet the standard of this price. (They are similar as an rental apartment).

We follow a Halal diet which they provided for o - The beautiful Japanese garden was lovely to walk through, it a little sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Seeing Mount Fuji was the cherry on top! This was a very memorable stay!!! I recommend

• Bui (1/5): - I was extremely uncomfortable and disturbed by the behavior of a man who appeared to be a security guard. Our group had three rooms, and we went to my friend’s room to collect some belongings. He aggressively followed us and demanded that we take him to my room. He treated us as if we were criminals or thieves without any valid reason. It was already past 11 PM, yet he refused to let us enter the room to rest and forced us to stand outside in the cold. Despite me explaining that I needed to wake up early the next morning, he continued to interrogate us and would not leave us alone. His hostile and intimidating behavior caused my friend to panic, and as a result, my friend was unable to sleep for the entire night. This experience was unacceptable, unprofessional, and deeply upsetting.

• Sisi (10/5): 喜欢这家酒店！ - 酒店非常有日式风格这是我当初预定它的最大理由, 很安静很优雅，酒店工作人员非常热情耐心细致，尤其在我到达时还有专门的人在门口等待跟着带我去房间，全部check in progress 详细跟我讲所有的细节。房间里面配的温泉真的很棒，就在房间的阳台上水温也是控制的刚刚好，住了一晚跳进去3次，虽然每次只能5分钟因为我受不了太久，但真的很舒服！总之很好！会再来！ 没有！
