- ABDELRAHMAN (1/5): - Nothing Revise below They confirmed with me in WhatsApp to check in Friday midnight and one I arrived to hong kong they told me we are confused you should check in after 14:00 and we don’t have place for you i tried to booking to another hotel and finally booked at 6:00 i paid around 700 aed only for 6 hours to survive my family to stay in the street after long flight trip

- 文希 (5/5): - 房间很便宜，卫生情况一般，蟑螂很多 首先我预定的是5人间 3成人 2个儿童， 工作人员说我们目前没有5人间，给我换成了一个三人间，一个双人间，然后就让我们去入住了，我本以为是免费的，结果第二天告诉我，工作人员搞错了，我定的是一间房，结果给了我们两个房间，要收取1000港币的房间费用， 由于老板是印度人，语言不通，交流太吃力，我们只能付钱，我只希望不要让工作人员的失误，让租客来买单

I will stay here next time also. I had a fantastic stay! The room was spotless, the staff were incredibly friendly and help us too.

- Kurt (1/5): Absolutely crap minus 10 stars - Nothing about this place is worth talking about Toilet & Shower total, lack of space, nowhere for your clothes, no Desk no safety box no coffee making or microwave or kettle storage of junk under the bed Bed linen changed once I 12 days room never vacumed or cleaned and the list goes on lift not working twice and had to walk 11 stories down filthy unmaintained steps full of ceap. Sydney was most misleading in the printed 10-page information sheets sent, these made me decide to book but were untruthful in every respect, I have sent several photos to Booking .com Questioning why they to take bookings for such a sleezy establishment.

- thisdrinkinglife (8/5): Overall was happy. - Was a good bit apprehensive after booking it on a Chinese booking website as it wasn't clear if it was legit and when I rang twice, the number provided, with no satisfaction (once the receiver hung up, other time feigned ignorance) it wasn't looking good. But I went and followed the directions - To Chongqing Building - a massive building with all sorts going on (like a little India) - getting the lift to collect the keys and then told to go to my room on same floor - which was handy. The receptionist was efficient and clear and the checking in process was done quite quickly. Nerves calmed! Room it self is small, but then this is HK and this is budget accommodation. It was clean and comfy - with nice clean towels and all the essential toiletries provided. The bathroom and shower were decent, the shower was hot at least. I had a decent nights sleep here, even if I could just about stretch my legs - a little - such was the size of the room. But no problems - and the cleaner was very friendly - regularly enquiring to clean the room and change sheets/towels, and friendly to boot. The location was great too - near the thick of it really in terms of nearby museums and the harbour, plus Chongqing Building is a good place to get a cheap curry! Overall I was happy with my few nights here. Only negative was the information - or lack of it - provided at the start .

- Mollie (5/5): You get what you pay for! Staff were so kind. - You get what you pay for! Check in was a bit inconvenient, but the staff was very kind and helpful. The room was small, had some mould, but was otherwise clean. I felt safe. Location was great. Accommodation was fine. Easier to checkin. Staff in the actual apartment area. Less mould.

- Jeanneth (8/5): Very good - I originally booked 3 rooms for three families. However, due to unanticipated situation, I have to request to cancel one (1) room. Despite knowing the site’s policy of no cancellation, I still tried my luck and viola! the owner was kind enough to let us cancel with no fee. To add to our delight, the host even upgraded one of the 2 remaining rooms into a much bigger family room with no extra cost. Thank you for being kind to us.

- LEUNG (2/5): - NOT the same as the picture, and no window in this smallest room, and it was uncomfortable to sit on the double bed which caused my back to be sore to read. The worst is not the same hostel booked and need to change to a different hostel from block E 16th floor to block C 14th floor. It was a long trip just to check in. An extra additional charge of HK$187.00 for cleaning for 7 days.

- Jason (1/5): VERY VERY unfriendly owner. - After 4 days of staying there, nobody had come to clean my room not once. There was a washing machine and no notice ANYWHERE to not use it. After it was on for 2 mins I very quickly got someone at my door saying I must pay 100hkd for using it. I said no way and said I would give 50 they then stopped the machine and gave me my soaking wet clothes back. Had a call with the owner who was very unprofessional it's basically a scam to get people's money—blatant trap. dirty room, stay far away from this place!

- Hugh (4/5): No credit or refund, lost all our money - We did not stay as this was a non refundable, which we had paid in full months before Covid started. We were not assisted in anyway to get a credit or refund so the booking came and went and we were still at home. Enjoy our money, unfortunately we did not have that opportunity.

The towels were changed everyday and everyday I will find stains in them. The building had this terrible smell which would never go away. Only book it if you are in a tight budget and will only go to the room to sleep.

Expedia makes me feel very disappointed for room standard and extra fee without knowing in advance!!! Hostel is located in excellent location and a lot of Indian people.

- Verified traveler (2/5): - 太可怕了 住宿地點很難尋找 在重慶大廈裡面 要先經過一堆東南亞或是非洲人的騷擾 進去房間後 窗戶無法開關 房間很悶 還有奇怪的香水味 聞久會頭暈 很危險 房門只有喇叭鎖 隔音也差 完全聽得到隔壁房間的聲音 夜晚還有尖叫聲很可怕 冷氣聲音很大 住宿的老闆好像是印度人 走廊本是房客自由走動的地方 聊天時還有監視器監視著 一聊天房東還帶另一名印度人一起過來叫我們不要在走廊聊天 還問我們在聊什麼（黑人問號）加上我們只有兩個女生入住 真的非常危險 我們勉強住了一晚隔天早上直接去住大飯店了 建議在平台直接購買機加酒的旅客要三思 尤其是只有女生入住非常危險 可以上網查這棟大廈之後再決定要不要入住 除非你膽子大 否則千萬不要衝動啊
- Sonia (6/5): Hay que pagar un 10% del total de la reserva - Te cobran un 10% del total de la reserva en concepto de limpieza, me parece que eso va al bolsillo del que está allí, pero si no pagas no te dan la habitación. Eso no se publica en la página, te lo envian una vez está confirmada la reserva, así que si no tienes cancelación pagas si o si. Un día entraron a la habitación sin nuestro permiso y dejaron la puerta abierta, pudiendo entrar cualquiera allí. Es una habitación muy pequeña, solo hay una pequeña entrada y la cama, con un mini baño que parece un armario. La ubicación si es bastante buena, para subir a la habitación hay que esperar unas interminables colas para coger el ascensor.
- Sandra (6/5): - Dåligt förstaintryck då hostellet ligger inne i ett lite sketchy guesthouse-komplex och det var svårt att hitta uppgången. Incheckning sker i block A våning 17 medan vissa av rummen låg vid block E. Väl på plats var rummen OK. Små rum men det räckte. Placeringen av hostellet var bra - supernära till tunnelbanan så det var lätt att ta sig runt i staden. Allt som allt var vistelsen helt OK. Ingen superbra men inte heller superdåligt. Rekommenderas dock inte för familjer o.s.v utan mer för backpackers eller liknande.
- RAINY (2/5): - จองที่พักทั้งหมด 3 คืน จ่ายเงินเรียบร้อย พอไปถึง พนักงานให้นอนห้องที่จองไว้ ( เตียงเดียว 2 เตียง ) ได้ 2 คืน คืนที่ 3 ให้ย้ายไปอีกตึก ทื่ห้องพักไม่ได้มาตรฐานเดียวกัน คือ มี เตียงเดี่ยวแค่ 1 เตียง แล้วก็ให้จ่ายภาษีที่โรงแรมเพิ่มอีก 100 ดอลล่าฮ่องกง
- cach18 (6/5): - Very difficult review. Positive: Location the best.Closeto everything , MTR, Harbor, Malls, nifgt market -Staff, very helpful people. We were there just the day before the typhoon. They helped with transport next day and they always pending of everything. Even though the extremely small room, bed were comfortable. Negative: Elevator. 1 small elevator (5 or 6 ppl)for all building. You have to make long lines at first floor to catch it. The worst thing. Never saw something like that. Room super small, if you tall more than 5'9 you may not fit , serioulsy. No space for bags just under the bed. Shower is over the toilet no more than 5 ft wide toilet +shower. But we had great time there., thats why I said is a difficult review. In conclusion , besides the elevator I would recommend this place.

- Ngung Chia (10/5): Excellent value for money in Kowloon - Very clean hotel/room. Location is excellent - opposite MTR and airport bus A21 just at the door step. Ferry to Hong Kong and Macau within 10 mins walk away. Excellent WiFi in room and free drinking water. Plenty of shopping around. Space is very small - as with most rooms in Hong Kong. Lift is a big problem. Reception and room in different block but signage is clear. Will return for future stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - As expected, the room was very small. If you have more than 2 luggages , this type of hostel is not for you. The refrigerator in the common area is not working. The Reception of the hostel is FAR from the rooms. The location of the hostel is 7/F block E, while the the reception area is between 11th-15th floor of Block A. You still need to go to Block A before you check-in or call the telephone no. provided at the entrance of the rooms. Maybe the hostel manager/owner should put it in the check-in instructions. You cannot leave your luggages after checkout in the block where the rooms are located because there will be no one who will assist you. You still need to bring all your luggages to Block A.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location and price - I had a 1 night layover in Hong Kong and I just needed a cheap, clean place to stay for 1 night and this place certainly did the trick, at a good price. There is nothing fancy here but the guy at the front desk was nice enough to upgrade my room free of cost and he has kept the rooms nice and clean. So if you're looking for a simple place close to the city center that doesn't cost much, I'd recommend.
- hayoung (8/5): 친철하고 배려가 느껴진 시드니 - 여러번 홍콩숙박결과 가격 대비 나쁘지 않았습니다. 청킹맨션 숙소 첨 이용해봤네요. 처음엔 사람도 많고 슬럽화가 되다보니 약간의 거부감도 있고. . 하지만 주인 정말 친절하고 깨끗하고 배려하기 위한준비가 곳곳에 느껴 지더군요. 비싼 호텔은 비싼값을 하고 저렴하면 또 그에 걸맞는 적당함도 필요하구요. 일때문에 급하게 잠만 자고 올 일이어서 저렴한곳 선택을 하였지만 나쁘지 않았습니다. 고급지고 안락한 여행만 다니신 분이라면 비추이구요. 힘들고 아껴가며 배낭여행식으로 다니신 분이라면 추천할만 합니다. 저도 여행 스똴이 후자 쪽이라. . .
- Verified traveler (6/5): できるだけ宿泊費を抑えたい方はありかなと思います - 立地、値段はよく、部屋も綺麗に掃除されていましたが、正直清潔感はあまりありませんでした。 一人旅、バックパッカーで安さ重視な問題ないと思いますが、ビジネスや小旅行などは少し清潔感、サービスにかけると思います。あと、チェックインカウンターと部屋が別の場所にあったので、見つける際にかなり迷いました。スタッフの対応はとてもフレンドリーで良かったです。

The hotel staff, Amit, is very kind, funny, and accommodating. The location is good except for the small elevator. Near to 2 MTR stations and bus stops. A walking distance to ferry terminal. I recommend this place!
- 4105 (6/5): 予約と違う名前の部屋でした - A-17F セブ にてチェックイン部屋は予約と違う名前の部屋でしたが問題なしでした スタッフのAmitさんが部屋まで案内、室内の説明とチェックアウトの時は部屋の中にカードキーを置いて退室でOKとの事でした。 承知してましたが チェックインの時 15％の追加を現金（香港ドル）で支払いました。私としては、事前決済なのでエクスぺディアさんの方で15％の追加も込みでの料金設定にしてもらいたい、催促をしなかったが領収書なし なのでトラブルになると面倒なことになる（金額の多少に関わらず）。
- ej (8/5): 침사추이 중앙의 호텔 - 일단 처음 찾아갈때가 힘들었음. A동 16층으로 엘리베이터를 타고 간 다음 걸어서 17층으로 걸어올라가야됨 1층 표지판에는 표시되어 있지 않아서 혼동 될 수 있음. 게스트하우스 이용 및 직원은 친절하고 좋았음
- Verified traveler (6/5): Its a backpackers - Ok..so we stayed here for 5 hrs just to sleep and then went on our way. this place is for adventurous backpackers or budget travellers who dont mind living in a matchbox for the duration. Looks clean, bathroom a bit tricky with the small size. Location is in a seedy place of Hong kong so if youre the adventurous kind go for gold. It is not for the faint hearted. The hotel is in the 17th floor-lift only goes to 16th. 2 short flight of stairs and youre there.

- Lip (2/5): Worst place I've ever booked. Seedy, dirty, grimmy - The area is a bunch of overcrowded buildings where you will be approached by street vendors up to the elevator. If you come in at night there's lines of 20+ people to take the old elevator up. Inside the guest house or whatever this is called the manager plays loud Indian music so forget about afternoon naps. When i entered my room the so called bathroom had just been showered in minutes prior. This place is absolutely terrible and its a shame travelocity and expedia show it in their results. It looked as dirrty and grimmy as the residences in the new Judge Dredd movie.

- Verified traveler (8/5): クーロン地区のホステル - It was a good hostel for a short stay. The area and the building was a bit sketchy but the hotel staff were friendly and clean. ホテルの中はそれなりに綺麗で、寝るだけの短期滞在なら問題はない。 二人で泊まれば1泊2000以下でリーズナブル ただし女性やホステルに慣れていない人の一人滞在はあまりお勧めではない。 一番の問題点はとにかく場所がわかりにくい。 GoogleMAPではEの5階と出ているが、オフィスはAの17階。 しかも17階までエレベーターはないし、「シドニーホステル」の名前もない。 16階までエレベーターで上がり、さらに1フロア階段で登る必要がある。 一見怪しいが、内装等はそこそこ。最上階で騒音も全くなかった。 最初はとても不安だったが、従業員もフレンドリーで満足できた。 帰りのトランジットでまた利用しようかなと思うレベルのホテルでした。

- Verified traveler (2/5): Cheated by hotel - I booked a hotel with good reviews and agreed to pay a bit extra as compared to what the hotel asked the customers, for clean rooms. But when checking in, hotel assigned a room in another of their hotels (CEBU Hotel) which had damp beds and smelly rooms. The floor on which I was allocated a room did not even have a lift. I asked for a room in the hotel that I had a booking for but I was told there was no vacancy in that hotel and only one was available in this hotel, so I had to either take that one or cancel and walk away. Since it was prepaid and non-refundable booking, I had no option but to take that room. I felt cheated by both Hotel and Expedia. Will never pay to Expedia again. Please refuse the rooms in any other hotel other than Sydney Hotel itself. As for me, sorry no reviews about stay at Sydney as I never stayed there.

- backpacker (4/5): Sydney hostel - Stayed in the Sydney hostel for 2 nights. The hostel is in the Chungking mansions easy building to find as it is popular with the locals. However in the building finding the reception was rather tricky as you have to get the lift which takes about 10 mins due to ques. The reception was in block A on the 17th floor. Once I found the reception the guy checked me in then sent me to block E 7th floor where my room was. The room was very small but very clean, tv, shower/toilet, safe, air con and good wifi. The hostel is perfect for travellers or short stay people looking for a room to stay as you explore Hong Kong.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Tiny rooms - The stay at this place is like being locked in a cell, but locked in a clean one. The room has 4,5 m2 and there is no space for anything, just for sleeping. For this reason I can not rate better. I try to be fair, and at least I say that the cleanness level is good. Just for a one-night stay. I could even repeat but just because HK is so expensive that tight-budget travelers don't have much more options in this city.

- John (10/5): Economical and Clean Hostel - Helpful staff and this Hostel is right in the center of the city. Clean rooms and free coffee/Tea and free wifi.
- Enrique (6/5): Chunking Mansions expirience. - First of all, Chungking Mansions is what it is. Better be prepared. Bazar shops, queues at elevators and dozens of people offering cheap rooms. hundreds of rooms to stay. All small. Sydney hostel is one more, but at least it's a "have it all" room, except for wardrobes. Also, Sydney Hostel is away from the manager, who usually is at another one, Cebu Hostel, so be prepared to find the main "office" (usually a table). Space is expensive in Hong Kong, but that's Hong Kong experience. Now the review, once called by phone, number written in a paper on Sydney Hostel door, Robin, a young and attentive guy who speaks good English came to Sydney Hotel and gave me a room. Hong Kong Mansions kind of room. A bed, a small bed table, a TV I didn't watched, and toilette-shower-sink micro space. Enough to spend a few days in one of the most actives zones of the city. It's clean and comfortable enough, at least for one person. Last day I had to leave the luggage at the hotel before leaving at night, no problem, Robin took care of it at the other sister hotel, block A, floor 17th, where the main "office" is. One more thing there are two elevators on each block, pairs an odds floors, but they go till 16th floor, so if you want to go to 17th, take pairs to 16th and walk the rest by the stairs.
- EB (4/5): Not a place for business or couples traveling. - I had booked (what showed) a hotel close to the HK airport.. 230 HK $ later I arrive by Taxi in Kowloon close to the Peninsula Hotel at 11:30 PM. The Chung King Mansion building is a group of towers and the ground level is hundreds of bargain shops of anything a traveler can look for. The address was wrong on the Expedia printout. After walking to the E tower and going up 7 floors and was told the Sydney hotel was located in the A tower. ( 20 minutes wasted) I finally located the right tower. The elevators went to the 16th floor.. The Sydney is on the 17th floor. Up the stairs you go. The Sydney Hotel is really the Cebu Hotel. The button to enter rang and rang.. finally other guests came and entered as I did. The manager came in a few minutes, was professional and I was checked in quickly and shown the room. Clean & neat and about 8' x 8' including bathroom. Bathroom is like a RV bathroom with shower. The room air conditioner worked, after an exhausting day I set my alarm for 5:30 AM and slept OK. Shower worked fine... opp's no towels were left.. used the pillow cases to dry. Another part of the adventure. The hair dryer looked new.. didn't work.. left at 6:10 AM and headed for the HK airport via Taxi and train .. much less HK$. If you are young and traveling alone on a budget, the location is perfect for Hong Kong, Kowloon Star Ferry, activities. Everyone else stay away..
- Bert (4/5): A 26 minute ride to discomfort because it's cheap. - It's really not a place to stay if your travelling with anyone carrying couple of suitcases and a couple of knapsacks because it will be way too small for your carry ons. The place is way too far and costly for a taxi ride from the airport. The place is lacking of any staff except for an attendant that sleeps by the door to answer the doorbell. It does not provide any airport shuttle. The room has no heat if you are there in the wintertime but it does have a window A/C for the summer heat. You really don't have much choice from the 5 rooms that is available for this so called Hostel that was converted from a 10-room 7th floor flat.
