Andrew (10/5): A great place to stay, especially if you're travelling with kids. - I called ahead and they were able to provide a pack and play for our 10 month old. The whole hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are great, and it was so convenient to have a small kitchen and living room. We weren't able to use the pool or hot tub, but absolutely will if we stay here again and aren't quite so busy. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic, too--eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, fresh pastries, everything you could want. Nothing--truly a great hotel and a great value, too.

nancy (8/5): Fine place to stay in Vermont - The location is great, close to everything. The two fireplaces add a warmth and cheery feel to the reception area. The dining areas are comfortable, spacious and welcoming. What has vastly improved is the staffing. Everyone is professional, helpful, personable, efficient yet warm, and welcoming. This is a vast improvement over what it used to be in years past. The rooms are large, comfortable and have been updated. There plenty of thick towels and the beds are comfy. This is our go to hotel when we visit Burlington. The breakfast could be better. The coffee is fine, ditto the orange juice. The scrambled eggs taste powdery, the French toast is truly horrid, more like stale eggs dipped in skim milk than anything nearing their namesake. The offerings used to vary more than they now do. My favourite thing is the salsa, which can be used to raise the taste of the eggs. The Fireside get together in the late afternoon is shorter than it used to be and the nibbles not what they used to be. The wine and beer remain what they were, perfectly acceptable.

thompsonc655 (10/5): Chillin’ in Vermont: Lakes, Ice Cream & Mountain Views - The hotel is great! The rooms are big, everything is super clean, and the staff does a really good job keeping it that way. It’s also pretty affordable, which is a nice bonus. The location is awesome—really close to downtown Burlington, so it’s a great base to explore the area. You can easily visit the University of Vermont, walk around the marina, and enjoy the nice paths along the waterfront by Lake Champlain. It’s also a good starting point for trips to the Ben & Jerry’s ice cream factory and the Stowe Mountain gondola.

The room was well appointed and the kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, pots, pans, silverware etc. It was very nice to have a fridge. The lobby was very comfortable and perfect for playing boardgames and reading by he fire. The breakfast was nice for a complimentary breakfast with a good variety of hot and cold items. As a family of 4, we would stay here again.

MikeI283BL (2/5): Aging hotel and apathetic staff - We had a disappointing stay at Green Mountain Suites. From the start, the staff felt unwelcoming and indifferent, which set the tone for our entire visit. Upon arriving in our room, we discovered the toilet was not functioning. Unfortunately, only after we had already unpacked. Maintenance was unable to fix it, and we were relocated to a new room without so much as an apology. The following morning, we notified the front desk that our refrigerator was not maintaining a safe temperature for our toddler’s food and medicine. We were told someone would come take a look, but the visit didn’t happen until much later in the day. By that point, our food had spoiled and we were forced to dispose of our child’s medicine. A replacement refrigerator was eventually installed, but the damage had already been done. What made both situations especially frustrating was the staff’s apparent indifference throughout. At no point did anyone offer an apology or acknowledge the stress these issues placed on our family. At checkout, when we raised our concerns again, the front desk associate did offer to deduct the cost of the spoiled items from our bill, which we appreciated, but the gesture felt transactional rather than genuinely sympathetic. I would not recommend this hotel. Beyond the aging infrastructure and maintenance issues, it was the lack of empathy from staff that left the lasting impression. These things happen — but a compassionate, attentive team makes all the difference when they do..
maricE5530IU (10/5): I don't go anywhere else in Burlington anymore - I always enjoy my stay here. The rooms are spacious, very comfortable, and clean, with everything I need. I love the hot tub and the pool. Reservations are easy, and the staff is helpful and friendly.

leteranceb (10/5): Welcome to Burlington - It was a lovely hotel, from the friendly staff to the warm fireplace to the spacious rooms. Like others have said, if you get a room on the road side, then you'll hear traffic noise but Burlington's traffic doesn't get busy like Atlanta and after 9pm traffic dies so it wasn't a big issue for us. We brought kcups hoping to use them in the coffee maker but it was a coffee ground machine in the room. The toaster didn't work either. Make sure to get to breakfast early because most residents will take advantage of it and say later times there may not be many options left. Oh and some advice that we wished that we knew coming into Vermont, no plastic bags so be ready to bring or purchase reusable bags. This hotel was in a great location near airport and shopping spots but far enough to not be in the center of everything.

Tchebotarev (8/5): Great place to stay for a visit while in Vermont - Nice cozy lobby. Quick check-in. Comfy room and plenty of free parking. Pretty good overall for a roadtrip. Some sounds can be heard, maybe regarding soundproofing can be a little bit better.

176heatherb (10/5): First time in Vermont - When we first arrived at the hotel, we weren’t even sure we were in the right place since there was no sign on the awning. However, once we stepped inside, the main lobby was gorgeous—very rustic with a cozy electric fireplace that made a great first impression. We were able to attend one of the happy hours (Tuesday–Thursday from 5:30–6:30 pm), which included beer, wine, and appetizers—a really nice touch. The room itself was perfect for a family, especially with the full kitchen, which we ended up using and appreciated. Overall, our stay was great. The breakfast was above average for a continental option, and the location was convenient, with downtown Burlington just a short drive away. Definitely worth the stay!

The bathroom needs some updates as the shower was very dark and needs some additional shelves or hooks. The breakfast was a bit lackluster and disappointing given all of the rave reviews. I was expecting more than your typically hotel chain breakfast. However, it was a good place to stay for the price and the property was very well kept and clean!

Stefanie (10/5): - All staff from the desk to the food area to the pool were friendly and quick to answer any questions. The room was spacious and fit our needs as a family of three. Bed was comfortable, sofa/chair in living area comfortable, shower had good heat and pressure. The pool itself was heated well especially considering it was getting under 10° overnight during our stay Breakfasts were good with slight rotation so not overly repetitive (each day had bacon, sausage, oatmeal, yogurt, bread, and fruit; but type of eggs pancake and potato changed up each day). We sadly missed one of the reception nights but made one and it was nice to have a drink and appetizer by the fire. Close to lots of stores and the highway so was easy for us to visit family in Vergennes and do errands in Burlington. Would definitely stay again. The only disappointment was the hot tub. It doesn't actually get hot until after 2pm because they have to start warming it back up each morning. But even then the jets are pretty weak for the "massage" - like element of a hot tub. .One small suggestion for the room would be to add a hall tree or at least hooks for winter coats and a mat for boots. There's a blank wall when walking in (at least in our room) which would have been a great place for coat hooks and a boot mat.

The entire hotel is very Clean. Noise level was very low. Service was outstanding. Amenities were far above what most hotels offer.

Hospitality & accommodation from kitchen & cleaning to front desk is A+ - Coffee & Tea in lobby (24/7), buffet breakfast w/local real maple syrup, great bagels & pastries, cozy but good sized accommodations w/useful kitchen, plenty of seating, super comfortable bedding & great pool, hot tub, gym, parking & bathrooms - just saying. I've stayed at a variety of other accommodations & never been this comfortable &the hospitality throughout is exceptional. FYI: We have stayed multiple times. My spouse works here in VT & I am retired, traveling with him. Side note: VT is more beautiful than I imagined.

You have a never-ending supply of coffee, tea, herbal tea. You can read a book by the fireplace. Kitchenettes are a must with the family.
