• Giggsonearth (10/5): Nice and Clean place - Warm welcome from all staff. Big room and clean. Delicious food , easy to order food from room service just scan the QR code and you'll get your food quickly. I did enjoy my stay. Delicious breakfast served to the room.

• 849alisau (10/5): Good service and valuable. Recommended !!! - We got warm welcome upon arriva by their staffs and little dog. We booked deluxe Mountain View room and it’s very nice. Room is on the second floor with mountain and pool view too. Breakfast is super and can compare with some 3-4 stars hotel we’ve ever been. We were very impressed and would come back again for our next trip in Chiang mai.

• Yan (8/5): - Nice resort facing the mountain. It was very quiet during our stay in early March. Don't expect much from its Cafe though, they only have simple stuff like spaghetti, chicken and pork sausages, you need to go out and hunt for food. Nearby, the restaurant Rimm Phi Romm near Mae Rim Plaza is highly recommended. The night bazaar there was also very interesting, but only on Tuesdays.
• Verified traveler (4/5): - Hotel rooms were dark and dingy. The shower was terrible with next to no pressure and it kept changing from hot to cold. The television did not have any English channels. The breakfast was pretty average with only a limited selection. The staff were also relatively unfriendly and did not acknowledge you when you were coming and going. I would not recommend this place.
• Márcio (8/5): Gostoso, mas muito longe - O hotel é muito agradável e tem bom serviço e comodidades, com ótima arrumação e troca de toalhas e outros itens. A piscina é muito boa, embora falte um espaço melhor para tomar sol (espreguiçadeiras). O café do hotel tem poucas opções e é cobrado a parte. O cardápio de almoço é melhor e a comida, boa. A cozinha fecha cedo e não jantamos. O pior foi a localização, muito distante da cidade, ruim e caro para arrumar transporte. Se a intenção é apenas ficar no hotel, compensa, mas é longe de todo o resto. Perdemos muito tempo e dinheiro nos passeios. Muito tranquilo e sossegado.
• sweetas2017 (10/5): Place for Cool Down and Relax - This small hotel is perfect for our big family ,we booked the whole hotel because we went with 6 couples and 10 teenagers. We loved and enjoyed so much because we just come to hang around together some of us come from Bangkok and some are in Chiangmai so this is the good place not far from town and feel like very far because of the nature feeling ..and it ‘s the place you come to relax not do much activity..they have great breakfast and Thai food and you can go to other place to do activities that very nearby ..
• aronjoel (10/5): June visit - Me and my girlfriend stayed at Cool Downs in suite C32 and it was perfect. We wanted a tranquil place outside the city to relax while conducting some work and sightseeing. The Wi-Fi was good as I conducted numerous online meetings and never had a disruption. I want to call out a few great things about this place. First, the staff is so friendly and accomodating. They even went out of their way to cook a special meal that was not even on the menu! The second thing is the modern design and amenities of the hotel. Wow, it was a pleasant surprise and we would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and fellow travelers.
• Mookkook (6/5): Not much scenery, big bath tub but ran out of hot water - There was not much facility inside, and the place got no scenery, the swimming pool was in front of the villa (2 FL building, which seem like their swimming pool). The selection of breakfast is limited (selection of 3 styles of eggs w/ sausage or bakebean; or rice soup) I selected Pork rice soup and it taste good. The bed is comfortable, the toilet & shower got no door so its not a good idea to share room with someone you aren't really close with, I'm very close with this friend but we found it very awkward to do morning thing & showering. The big bathtub was super impressive, but the hot water only working after fill in about 1/10. The hot water & water pressure working well at the shower & sink (it was in separate area). The bed is comfortable. The burners smell great.
• Fred (10/5): Great Spot to unwind - Internet was fast and this place was peaceful and private. Great place to unwind. Make sure to check out Hong Beach for food and drinks across the street.
• captiainj (8/5): Moder in the wood - Cool down is the modern styles resort located at Mae Ram the tourist attraction area of Chiang Mai. This hotels is awesome and good for a couple cuz they dont have a door at toilet lol The bed is nice but wifi is poor and breakfast is limit option. Overall is good for relax, stay away from phones, u can borrow the dvd movies from reception and enjoy the day!
• Phillip Johnston (2/5): Unprofessional a manager, bad shower,hot AC. - This hotel is in the middle of nowhere you got to have your own vehicle it's not convenient to walk to anywhere. After we stayed the first night we were gone out all day and got back to the room at night and found out that they never clean up the room. We asked them to move us to a new room and they said they can not because all the room is booked up. We got up early in the morning to check out and saw only a few cars in front of the hotel we very positive that they had the room available last night. When We complain with the manager he said we supposed to hang up the sign in front of the room which no one explain to us.A manager he blemed us it was our fault and he never apologized, he said to us all of the hotels have the sign to hang out for cleaning but we never stayed in the place that we have to notify them to clean our room. He has a smart attitudes, when we said to him it just waste the time to talk to him and we said he will have a negative review on the internet he just say okay like he doesn't care at all and when we walk away to our car and he said right behind us ,thank you for choosing to stay with us and hope you come back again to stay but his voice it very sarcastic. We hope this review make the hotel's owner very proud of this manager! The room C22 was hot AC. no AC in the bathroom at all. The shower fluctuating from hot to cold. If it was the only hotel in Thailand we'd never stay! We would not recommend.

• 575alliep (4/5): Cheap but staff not honest!! - Stayed here as a couple, rooms were lovely. Location was a bit far from city centre but can rent a motorbike. I don't recommend getting one straight from the hotel though, they charge 400tbh per day when you can get one in the city for 200!! When we had no choice but to order a taxi the guy at the front desk said he would there was no meter taxis around the area (which was a lie) so he organised us a taxi' but when it showed up it wasn't a licensed taxi, it was the mans friend. With his wife in the front seat. Charging us 700tbh! we only did this cause we had to be in the city early for a excursion and couldn't park our bike anywhere...to me this was very very cheeky!!!! Asked us if we wanted a taxi for the airport when leaving! Nope!! (UBER it cost us 350tbh and further than the city) On the plus side the security guy was amazing! Was always there with his flash light when we got in late and escorted us to our room. Always smiley to! We had to change rooms due to cockroaches late at night and he let us change rooms without a problem! Very grateful for him! Nice clean big rooms, nice pool. 7 eleven a bit down the road from hotel, not much else there we did find a night market which did lush street food. Fridge has beers, drinks and snacks. They don't say whether they are free or not so be warned. Not much info in room at all, didn't eat from restaurant as a little pricey for what it was. Wouldn't stay here again due to location, rude staff and wifi was rubbish.
• SonamThakkar (10/5): Beautiful boutique hotel with great service - The hotel is 45 minutes from the Airport and cab fare is around 600bht. It is 30 minutes from the Chiang mai city area in the Mae Rim district.being away from the city had its ups and downs. Ups was that its quiet and peaceful and weather was cool in the evening. All the activities like tiger kingdom, orchid garden, strawberry farm were 5-10 mins away. Down was that you had to drive/ride 15-16kms to go to the city. Food option was either their in house restaurant or a near by cafe. The rooms are very modern and well maintained. Restaurant menu is limited and don't have vegetarian options. Though they try to accommodate your request as much as they ca . The staff is extremely helpful. I felt sick during my stay and they went out of their way to help us buy medicine. Language is a bit of a problem but they do their best to help in any way possible. Google translate came in handy! Worth our 5 day stay and much recommended!
• Mennonick (10/5): ทริปพักผ่อนจริงๆนะ - คูลดาวน์รีสอร์ท ชื่อนี้ที่ทำให้การพักผ่อนที่แสนอบอุ่นจริงๆ รีสอร์ทระดับ4ที่ตั้งในอำเภอแม่ริม ห่างจากตัวเมืองประมาณ30นาที ซึ่งรีสอร์ทอยู่ใกล้แหล่งท่องเที่ยวเยอะมากมาย อาทิเช่น น้ำตกแม่สา,ปางช้างแม่สา หรือ แหล่งท่องเที่ยวที่ขึ้นชื่ออีกที่คือม่อนแจ่มนั่นเอง เข้าเรื่องเลยละกันนะครับสำหรับคูลดาวน์รีสอร์ท เมื่อเราถึงรีสอร์ทเราได้รับการต้อนรับจากทางโรงแรมดีมากเดินออกมาหาที่รถเลยอ่า...ชอบจางง เช็คอินเสร็จแล้ว ก็ทำให้พวกเราถึงกับตื่นเต้นอีกครั้งนึง เพราะทางรีสอร์ทได้อัพเกรดห้องพักให้อีกแล้วคราฟท่าน(เนื่องจากทางรีสอร์ทได้มีการปิดปรับปรุงระบบน้ำทางโซนห้องพักที่เราจองไว้จากExecutive เป็นsuite Roomซึ่งห้องพักสามารถเลือกได้ด้วยว่าต้องการห้องชั้นบนหรือชั้นล่างซึ่งชั้นล่างจะเปิดประตูเดินลงสระว่ายน้ำกลางได้เลย(แต่โทษทีเราเลือกพักเป็นชั้นบนเพราะต้องการความเป็นส่วนตัวกว่าอิอิ ซึ่งห้องพักเมื่อเปิดประตูเข้าไปถึงกับอึ้งเพราะมันสวยหรูมากกกกก อะไรจะขนาดนั้น ต้องขอบคุณทางรีสอร์ทมากๆที่ทำให้ทริปการเที่ยวเชียงใหม่เป็นครั้งแรกนั้นรู้สึกอบอุ่นที่ได้มาเยือนที่นี่ สระว่ายน้ำก็ใหญ่กว้างขวางดีแต่เล่นนานไม่ได้เพราะอากาศค่อนข้างเย็นอิอิ ลงตัวที่สุด ไม่ผิดเลยที่เลือกพักคูลดาวน์ในการมาเที่ยวที่เชียงใหม่ครั้งนี้ ขอบคุณจากใจจริงๆ I hope to comeback to you again I feel like you Cool down Resort Chiangmai💋
• Pattanit (8/5): Cozy - This hotel is very nice and cozy,suitable for family, couple ,solo or friend. Price is not too expensive and staff can speak English and can suggest you about trip. The hotel not far from downtown and you can cool down your moody at here
• atiya2908 (8/5): One best small and warm hotel - I spent 4 nights here at cool suit type as my vacation. Only plan a day before my trip,booking directly through hotel. Impressive service has started since booking session with best assistance from hotel staff during high occupancy. My first impression upon my arrival seems below my expectation only photos and reality of real property size. By the way, the rest of hotel has provide superb warmly services during my stay. I dnt suggest if you don't have your own transport during the trip coz it takes min 30 mins from hotel to town and 15 mins up hills. F&B function needs to be developed for more than Thai market. This place is more honeymoon friendly than family, even they also have villas. Staff here is well helpful and friendly. Impressive trip and will come back again.

• sundaytonics (8/5): 40 mins away from chiang mai, ok if you have ur own transport - it was nice and cute place, even the swimming pool was under maintainance the 3 days i was there. service was good. if you dont have any transportation very hard to get around. also the room that i got didnt have a door for the washroom (i mean this is on purpose) and it looks diff and nice but i think i still like a door on the wasjhroom
• Deviccatmadja (8/5): Far from city but make it a good point - Neighborhood is sooo quite but they have lots cafe around close at 6pm mostly. It's better for you to rent a bike or car as the transport with driver in chiangmai is quite expensive. Room was nice with great view. The restaurant down stairs should be open til 9-10, because it's difficult to find food at night. The owner of this hotel is soooo kind and speaks english very well.. No receptionist at night, i think they should improve this..
• SilvanExplorer (10/5): Best Service Experience - I had the best experience SOLELY because of the Staff and service. This is my first positive review, and thats due to the fact that Cool Downs Resorts staff sincerely deserve the recognition. They were all awesome. I arrived frustrated due to an issue with double booking, when The receptionist P. Ae recognized this, i was given a complimentary brownie and icecream. Additionally, P. Ae ensured us a lovely stay, at the next available room which lucky for us was a free upgrade. This gave me much appreciation especially after the fact she could not contact her Manager to authorize the accommodation. This made it clear to me that it is the Staffs priority to keep the clients Happy, and Cooled Down. I highly recommend Cool Downs due to the service provided. The facilities were all clean, functional, and food was delicious.
• KevinS816 (10/5): Fabulous Exterior Design - Located in Mae Rim, this medium-size hotel is truly, and surprisingly, modern. The design is trendy, the layout attractive, and the architecture sensual. I felt instantaneously comfortable. The room is all made of concrete that is left raw; there is no paint, no wallpaper, no tiles, nothing. I personally don’t like this concept, but it is a matter of taste. The furniture is well appointed and, once again, trendy. The room is spacious and comfortable with a mini living area. There is plenty of space and counters to store luggage and personal effects. It is equipped with A/C, TV, DVD player, mini fridge and wi-fi. The door to the patio is entirely made of glass and everything can be seen from outside. The bathroom is spacious enough with the same raw concrete style. The shower faucet seems a bit cheap. All the rooms have a private patio with view on the swimming pool and mountains in background. The swimming pool has a nice design and is clean. There are several lounges to peacefully relax and sip a drink. The restaurant is equally trendy in its design and cuisine. Thai and western food is offered on the menu. The plates are colorful, the presentation original and the food tasty. Imported beers are sold. With the cool music, we enjoyed a very pleasant evening. Complimentary breakfast was tasty & original. It has to be ordered the previous day. This hotel is unashamedly modern with a refined architecture. I highly recommend it if you want to try something “different” in this traditional part of the country.

• DaDaBear (4/5): Absolutely beautiful but poor maintenance - I stayed here at the end of September with my girlfriend after seeing the pictures I thought it would be a nice romantic location for the end of my Thailand trip. The location was beautiful, in the middle of no where but about an hours drive from chiang mai (make sure you rent a bike or car otherwise travel is going to be costly even with thailands cheap transport) about the same distance from mon cham (not sure if thats how you spell it) which is stunning! Having the clouds at your finger tips & there's a pretty nice restaurant there too! Anyway back to the hotel.. Check in was pleasant & the room looked nice, we had a beautiful view of the mountains in the distance & the pool just below is. It was an instagramers heaven. The problems started when I went to have a look around the room, I noticed that our shower light was flickering, not a huge deal quick bulb change would've fixed it so I called down to the reception who said they'd send someone up, a few hours later said maintenance guy arrived. He managed to get it wrong & left us with a whole in the ceiling & no light to which they moved us to the room next door. At this point we were hungry & waiting to go get food (waiting for the maintenance) after moving we used the hotels bicycles which was a lovely idea my girlfriend loved cycling in the night! When we got back out room was like a sauna, putting the air con on as cold & powerful as possible for an hour achieved nothing, called the reception & the maintenance arrived much quicker telling us that it was broken.. Neither of us could sleep in the heat (gf is Thai so it's not just me being fussy) so we asked for a different room to which we were told no other room is made at the moment other than our 1st room (the hotel was pretty much empty the few days we were there, I went back to the room 30 mins later and it was fully made again as I had forgotten something & we still had the key, no made rooms but can make that room after we leave? Why not just make a room without a hole in the ceiling?!) so we had to go back to our holey dark room but he managed to get a lamp, extension cable & about a roll of sticky tape to give us light in the toilet area.. Not a sensible idea because the extension was opposite the shower so water + live electrics.. Wonderful. First thing in the morning went to ask for a different room as neither of us felt safe showering in that room. We were upgraded to an executive which was a nice touch but I would've been happy just to have a room with no problems. Not exactly the romantic end to my trip to Thailand that I had hoped for, it's a shame because it's a beautiful place & would've been a perfect place to spend anniversaries if it wasn't for the technical problems & questionable fixes. For some reason this is the 2nd time I've tried posting this now as the first time did nothing but process for months

• NimoDoodle (10/5): A Perfect Stay - We stayed at the Cool Executive for 3 nights, and it was an absolute delight. Room was very clean and spacious, and a great bad to crash on. Included breakfast was tasty, and having a proper coffee shop inside helped to get great coffees in the morning. Staff were excellent and very friendly, even tho we were in the middle of low season, everything was tip top and taken care of - swimming pool, seating, rooftop. Great wifi reception (free) in room. Delicious food in restaurant! Location was bang in the middle of all attraction with easy and quick access with a car or a bike. We would definitely recommend anybody to stay there, and most definitely come back!

• Verified traveler (8/5): I wanted to give it 5-Stars... - Cool Downs is a lovely little hotel - the room was great, it has a nice pool and little bar... it feels like it's a bit in the middle of nowhere but this just added to its appeal - and whilst not near any bars or restaurants it's very close to some lovely walks and a great waterfall. For all this I would have given it five stars but it let itself down on the service front - the restaurant closed the evening we were there and we were left with nothing to eat which was a massive pain. We also got over-charged for food and for transfers. Then at breakfast the food wasn't great (but the coffee was good!).

• AHMAD (8/5): Nice Resort and New to Stay At!! - The hotel has a private place and far from the city. So, you should have your own transportation method to be able to go anywhere you would like to visit. However, the breakfast is good but every day you should choose what you would like to have from their limited list. All stuff are good and friendly except one of them who argued about our order for the breakfast and said that "You Order this dish!!" that we did not order and wasn't expected from her to treat us unprofessionally!!!! Otherwise, everything went good at this place :)
• alexandra (4/5): Méfiance - Très belle chambre! Petit Resto typique d'en face très bon! Par contre piscine vaseuse, personnel ne parle pas un mot anglais, loin de tout en pleine cambrousse! Et Resto fermer le soir! Petit déjeuner très moyen!
• yvonnec403 (10/5): Memorable stay for the entire family - We arrived at the resort and the kids were raring to take a dip at the pool. Kids were greeted with pretty swimming inflatable floats which we were free to use throughout our stay. The inhouse cafe makes delicious fried bananas & choc brownies. We had breakfast (choice of western or local) & dinner (local thai fare) there. Food was good. We love the cosy setup of the cafe which makes you wanna hang out there the entire day just reading. But with the kids, it was highly impossible. So we hung out at the pool. The spacious suite was ideal for our family of 4 (with 2 young kids). Very comfortable. If you wanna try something different, away from the hustle & bustle of city living & predictable hotel accommodation, Cool Downs would make a good choice. Would definitely want to visit again. • Verified traveler (4/5): 不會再光顧的酒店 - 非常之不愉快！ 每房間只供兩人使用，多咗嘅人不能上酒店房間；我們只想上房間看過環境，才決定加床或者加房間。 當日我們六個人，原本只訂了兩間房間，所以他們只能夠讓我們四個人進去房間，其餘兩人需要在接待處等後。我們原本預定加床，但他們的上司、老闆態度十分惡劣... 這間酒店是沒人住的，當日除了我們之外，只有一對情侶居住，地方非常荒蕪，酒店很細小，泳池也很細小，是沒規模的細小酒店，早餐尚可，但服務人員較差
• ChomThongLocal (10/5): Relaxing, Quiet, Superbly Designed - Cool Downs was a great place to stop for the night during a recent photography workshop we were conducting. We loved it and so did our clients. We love the design and layout - simple, modern, chic. The breakfast was a work of art too. We each ordered something different and each meal was beautifully presented and delicious. Certainly one of the very best breakfasts I've eaten at a hotel.
• anand (6/5): nice hotel but a bit isolated - hotel was clean and tidy, but for most of our stay there was no other guests. the staff were friendly, but english was poor location of hotel isolated, quite far from chiang mai city cab drivers didnt know where it was hotel quite new, still building part of it only served a very limited menu up until 4pm. after this no food was provided, and there were no local restaurants (except for side of the road barbeques and restuarants that looked as if they had been set up in a garage)
• Carol is 68 (10/5): Great accommodations in the country - Very lovely staff and room was very upscale modern. I only had breakfast there and it was the best French toast, fruit, coffee, and juice I have ever had! Great chef. I would go back there again should I return to Thailand.
