• Sleiman (1/5): Not a pleasant stay - The location The staff is super unfriendly and didnt help at all. The rooms havent been cleaned. In our 7nights stay they have been cleaned twice and only after i asked for it for 10 times. The receptionist was very unfriendly and very rude to us. Not even the bed was made after I literally asked every day for the rooms to be cleaned. In the description they say it will be cleaned every day and this was important for us but they never cleaned the rooms even after repeated asking.
• 21sadeqs (6/5): Not Suitable for Everyone - It seems that this hotel has been rated high for a year or two years ago. It was written on here and other websites that it has breakfast, but this hotel does not serve breakfast at all. They couldn't fix the safe for me after two visits and it was unusable. We did not have hot water for almost a day and a half. But the cleanness was quite suitable and it is a suitable place for someone who spends most of his time outside the hotel.

• Venture17386743986 (6/5): Decent for its price 👍 - The hotel's price is reasonable for its prime location near Istiklal Avenue. However, there are some noticeable differences in room sizes. With some being exceptionally small, even though they're both meant for two guests. Fortunately, due to low occupancy during our stay, we were able to request a room change when we first arrived. But if we had to stay in that tiny room for our entire trip, it would have been an awful trip. Room cleanliness is okay, but don't expect much. Most of the times room service comes only if you go and ask for it. Overall, it's decent for the price, especially if you're going to be out exploring most of the time. However, consider other options if you're going to spend your major time in the hotel.

The receptionist would just barge into the dorm at 3:00 am and turn on the lights and rattle around then leave. It is too expensive to be considered a hostel given that they have no communal kitchen, no decent bathroom, no amenities to use. I would recommend this place only because of the location.

Lo que más me molesto fue que tuvimos que hacer el test de COVID en el hotel y vinieron dos personas que supongo ni siquiera eran enfermeros. Lamentable. Ni siquiera nos dieron una copia del recibo. Supongo que el encargado de la recepción se quedó con parte del dinero. Cerca de 500 TL cuando en el hospital cuesta apenas 180 TL. No lo recomiendo a menos que quieran estar cerca de la peatonal. Mucho ruido en las habitaciones.

• Maryshakeri (2/5): good location BUT ... - my husband and i stayed here for 4 nights, actually we trusted to the reviews and comments about this place.the location is good and has good access to metro and bus station. the staff were good as well. it’s breakfast was repetitive all days and somehow it was poor. BUT the most biggest problem for Lavanta hotel was the room size and smoking smelled room. the room was unbelievably too small!! i supposed the size was 2.5*2.5 sqm and all the nights smelled smoking. even i couldn’t open the window because every where was smoking area and i really couldn’t sleep at all! the room does not have any facilities such as refrigerator and electric kettle and water too ( there is no place to put any facilities!)eventually we changed our room and pay more money to stay at the top floors room but unfortunately it was too noisy because it was street view balcony suit. I NEVER recommend this place!
• mary_salehiii (4/5): Just good for sleep - My friend and i stayed there for 4-5 nights, the rooms are smaller than what they look. The good point is that, it’s clean, near İstiklal street , breakfast it’s just Turkish traditional breakfast but ok. The most weird thing is that there is no coffee maker, no refrigerator , no cupboard. You have to hang your stuff and put away your bags because you can’t move in the room. the staff was very kind and helpful. They help us find bus station and explain us everything. But when we asked for tea or boiled water they said we can go out and buy it because they don’t have any and don’t sell.. anyway the area is safe, rooms are clean, breakfast is just not bad, and the staff are helpful.

Un grand merci à MURAT et son équipe qui on été toujours TRÈS À L’ECOUTE Je recommande pour les voyageurs qui souhaites être bien placés et qui souhaite un Bon lit pour se reposer et partir de plus belle et non pas pour ceux qui souhaitent passé des journées détentes à l’hôtel :)

• TIZIANA (8/5): Buon albergo - Pulizia molto buona. il bagno un pò piccolo ma comunque con appoggi e ganci per sistemare le proprie cose. Il letto molto molto colomdo. Si trova in una strada laterale con molta vita notturna (per me non era un problema perchè dormo sempre con i tappi per le orecchie). La colazione ha solo marmellata e miele come dolci; per il resto grandi scoprpacciate di olive e formaggi (6/7 tipologie per ognuno)

Jag hade blivit uppgraderad tiil ett bättre rum på ett närbeläget systerhotell Babu Hotel. Kort promenad dit men nu utan twinbed. Förklsrade att jag reser med en kompis och föredrar tvåbäddsrum. Rummet var stort, studio med kylskåp, rymligt badrum - men oftast obemannad reception med låst ytterdörr och nyckelhål längst ned vid dörren, svåröppnad. Bra rum men dåligt bemötande och endast städning 1 gång trots upprepad begäran. Denna recension gäller Babu Hotel
• Servet (4/5): - Würde ich nicht weiterempfehlen! Das Hotel an sich würde ich mit einem „OK“ bewerte, dazu kommen aber noch die Umgebung.. Die Reichweite zur Innenstadt (Istiklal Caddesi) waren keine 200m, was super war! Allerdings liegt das Hotel in Tarlabasi, wo es sobald es abends wird sehr gefährlich sein kann. Überall Clubs, Bars usw. Eine ruhige Nacht gab es nicht, hätte ich das gewusst .. Hätte ich dort mit Sicherheit nicht gebucht, stattdessen 100€ mehr bezahlen und in einem ruhigen und vernünftigen Hotel übernachten!

• YigalR (6/5): Perfect location that comes with noise - I stayed for 6 nights in Lavanta Hotel. I had a very small single room. It has perfect access to bus station, and within 5 minutes walk you get to Taksim metro station. Lots of pubs and cafes at the surrounding streets, or at ıstiklal, 2 minutes away. During my stay I faced a few challenges: 1. Too much noise from the street. 2. Once, I had cold water in the shower. 3. Breakfast is average: Poor coffee, old vegetables and semi dry bread. 4. Electricity stopped surprisingly in the middle of one of the nights, only in my room.
• J8846AEalexk (10/5): Loving Lavanta ❤️🔥 - Hello from Crimea. I visited Istanbul second time. I enjoyed staying in this hotel! The stuff is very hospitable and kind. Every room is clear and the bathroom too. I also liked the breakfast, very tasty and delicious. The manger ASLI is very kind and always try to help you if you have any problem and explain how to decide it. Thank you for hospitality! I hope to visit this hotel again in future.

Close to Taksim square and Istiklal street, there you can find everything:) So i think it’s perfect place to stay if you’re traveling alone
• Verified traveler (4/5): - Nur für 1-2 Tage zu empfehlen. Zimmer sehr klein und beim Frühstück gibts wenig auswahl. Kleines Hotel man hört vieles von anderen Zimmern. Bett sehr unbequem und hart! Die Lage ist Top sehr Zentral und 2 Laufminuten zur Istiklal Caddesi.
• Alisah (2/5): Dissapoint/area is very loud - I was very disappointed with the hotel. Never not as it was shown. While I had showered, water was not warm but hot and very cold alternately, is over the shower water running on the floor. Within a short time, the front desk of the receptionist knocked the door and said that downstairs from the ceiling water is running down.I said what can i do? They would like to check but never did...and one times they are doesnt let me to take a shower for 24 hours. I was there for 5 days and nothing was done. It was so loud on the street (brawl / demo / parties). It was very clean but worst hotel i have seen. They could not help me much to get back rooms. I do not recommend this hotel. But Istanbul is definitely worth seeing. Beautiful the city.

The hotel was clean and tidy the breakfastwas rich and the manager Mrs. Asli trieds tohelp you in everysituation I would highly. Recommend everybody I will come this summer again
• tppyadvsr (4/5): Wouldn't recommend; not as expected - Images don't look like the hotel, the elevator is for one person, the internet connection constantly failed, repeatably no hot water, stained bed, no bell hop service to assist with bags, poor breakfast options. Other than a good location, I wouldn't recommend this place.

The street is safe no noise at all , beside the shop ,easy to go to anywhere you want, also beside istiklal street .
• Tolga (4/5): Bu fiyata vasat bir konaklama - Otelin yeri bölge olarak çok kötü,gürültüden pek uyuymadık.Oda çok küçük,banyo aşırı küçük,duşun gideri sürekli tıkanıyor,duş başlığı çıkarılmıştı,ben kendim taktım,ama su akışı iyi değildi.Yani banyo deneyimi kötüydü.Klozetin vanaları çok kötü yerleştirilmişti.Onun dışında temiz bir oteldi.Kahvaltı vasat diyebilirim.

Although I stayed only for one night, everything was like in 5 stars hotel: the lady manager (Asli) was helpful, a very nice stuff and breakfast was good. The place is trustworth, no need to worry about your belongings. I recommend it for everyone.

• N5952VV_ (6/5): the unsafest hotel that i have ever been. take care your money!!!!!! - hotel situation is very good,it's clean and staff have good behavior, but very small rooms and lobby. but there is a robber in the hotel.. the first day that we arrived our room's safe was locked.. i asked the reception to come and fix it for 3 times but he didn't care( i don't know the name but he was fat and bald) so i was forced to carry my money with myself.. i had 100$ in my shirt pocket in the first day and my shirt was in the room.. 2 or 3 days after my stay in the hotel when i wanted to pick up my money i saw that it's missing and i couldnt find it.. i don't want accuse anyone.but i do recommend you that not to leave any precious thing in your room.
• zera (10/5): Super top hotel met zeer vriendelijke personeel! - İk gazeker niet overdrijven maar vond het echt super top hotel zoals de ligging als de personeel die daar werkt... ikhad zelf al van begin zoveel angst dat het mij ging tegenvallen maar beter kon niet vooral voor die prijs met ontbijt!!! İk ben iemand die veelreist naar İstanbul en iedere keer bij een ander hotel logeer maar volgende keer gaat het altijd deze zijn zeker en vast!! Personeel vooral, iedereen doet zijn best om je tot rust te brengen en te genieten van je verblijf... Personeelsdirectrice Mevrouw Asli komt iedere 's morgens aan je tafel bij ontbijt, om individueel een babbeltje te doen en vraagt vriendelijk eerst of ze mag bijzitten ja of nee en dit om te vragen hoe content ik ben met de verblijf in de hotel... Zij is ook meertalig en al wat u niet meevalt kunt je daar vertellen en direct opgelost.❗️ De ligging van de hotel ligt just 2 straten parallel achter de beroemde İstiklal caddesi ( ongeveer in het midden van dit beroemde straat heb ik berekend) de hart van Taksim. Ontbijt was ideaal en ook een zeer lieve dame die dit allemaal klaarmaakt en hygiënisch ook.. Ik vond het echt een topreis!!! Niet te grote maar zeer gezellige kamers met wit bedekte meubilaire... heb het sfeer nu al gemist:( Ik dank iedereen nogmaals strikt en persoonlijk voor dit zeer positief meegevallen reis...
• Barış Doğan (10/5): Reicht für alle Zwecke - Ich war am Wochenende mit einem Freund in Istanbul. Unser Aufenthalt waren insgesamt 3 Tage. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber gehalten. Das Personal ist stets zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral. Somit sind alle Anbindungen zu Fuß zu erreichen. Metro -> 50m Büsse/Taxen 50m . Ich werde immer dieses Hotel buchen, wenn ich Istanbul besuche. Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen. Zudem ist es sehr preisgünstig. Top!

• Berk (10/5): Klasse Hotel im Herzen von Istanbul - Wir waren für 4 Tage in Istanbul und brauchten ein Hotel im Zentrum, dass gut zu erreichen ist. Hier wurden wir fündig. Der Taxim Platz ist in max10 fußläufig zu erreichen. Das Hotel liegt in einer kleinen Parallelstraße zur Istiklal Cad. Die Zimmer sind klein, bieten aber ausreichend Platz. Durch die Lage kann man auch mal flux zwischendurch zurück und sich hinlegen oder was ablegen. Das Frühstück ist einfach, aber völlig ausreichend. Natürlich kann man mehr zum Frühstück haben und größere Zimmer verlangen, aber für den Preis ist das Hotel absolut unschlagbar. Ich war bestimmt schon 12 mal in Istanbul!
• Pensée (2/5): Bad experience with Lavanta hotel - Well, first of all we were supposed to stay for 3 nights in the hotel, we arrived early so we were asked to wait until the time for check in and so we left our luggage in the reception and returned when the time was right. When we returned we were told that our room was under maintenance and that we will be transferred to a near-by hotel in the same street that was only a few blocks away, of course we were mad because we were lied to when we arrived in the morning because they claimed that the room was being cleaned, they didn't see there was a problem was this and didn't apologize too. We told them that they should have told us before coming by e-mail or phone and that they didn't respect their clients. Moreover, they stated that the breakfast will be in the old hotel so everyday in the morning we had to leave the hotel they made us stay in to go have breakfast in Lavanta hotel. No need to say that the other hotel had no elevator and we were staying in the fourth floor and no one offered to help with the luggage until my husband asked them to do so. When we arrived, we found out that the rinser in the toilet was not working and they kept saying everyday that they will get it fixed but they did nothing. They also didn't clean our room until we asked them to do so even though our reservation included room service everyday!
• Renzo (8/5): Piacevole hotel in zona centralissima - Ho passato 3 notti in questo piccolo hotel vicino a Piazza Taksim. Anche se preferisco la zona di Sultanahmet, mi sono trovato molto bene in questa struttura semplice e pulita. Il personale è molto disponibile. Il proprietario è l'unico a parlare inglese, oltre che tedesco. Con uno dei portieri notturni si può comunicare in francese.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Klein aber Fein - Für ein Städteteipp genügendes kleines, feines und nettes Hotel. Frühstück ist ausreichend sehr nettes Personal. Super Lage wenige Gehminuten von der Metrostation Taksim entfernt. Shoppingmöglichkeit überall da die Lage sehr nah an der Istiklal Straße ist. Uns hat der Aufenthalt im Lavanta gut gefallen war sehr praktisch.
• Karima (6/5): Hôtel très bien situé. - Hôtel accueillant, personnel disponible, serviable et sympathique. Chambre petite mais très correcte. Petit déjeuner copieux et varié. Séjour agréable (3 nuits). Je reviendrai avec plaisir.
• KRISTOFER (10/5): RECOMMENDED - Well located. Staff is willing to help. My room was good. It was small, modern and tidy. It did not face the street, one sleeps well. Breakfast was fine.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Very goof location, and very good staff - the choice of that hotel was a very good choice; the best thing about it is its in the middle of the city where you can find transportation to go everywhere in Istanbul, and near Istiklal street where you can do shopping in a fantastic atmosphere. the people who run the place are very friendly, helpful, and have a great hospitality. I do really recommend the hotel for couples or a family with one child (No more) as the rooms are best fit for 2 adults and one more child.
