- peter (10/5): Worth a stay on its own merits, and super convenient for SJO. - Our last night before our mid-day flight out of SJO was perfect. Less than an hour to airport, but outside the city. Great views, wonderful staff (thanks, Ronaldo.) Excellent complimentary breakfast. Abundant fruit for our vegetarian daughter. Bird life and beautifully landscaped grounds, well cared for. Clean plunge pool. Though I didn't try it, it would be very refreshing in hot weather. Consider a couple of days at the beginning or end of your stay. Near Poas, great to break up your first or last drive if you're coming from further afield. We came from Monteverde. Very affordable and hospitable. Ten stars! No deficiencies. Beetles come out after dark and swarm around the deck, which is lit. Not a problem. Move the chairs onto the lawn. No mosquitoes or other pests. Our daughter used Doordash or Uber Eats for a late night pizza. There's no restaurant within walking distance, but it's a 3 minute drive to Northern Roots, a little more to Grecia itself. Highly recommended!

Tiene parqueo cómodo. las habitaciones son agradables, yo me quede en el Studio y era bastante grabde y cerca de la piscina. Se podría implementar un plan de fumigación constante para insectos, no habían muchos pero nos encontramos uno que otro por ahi... sería lo único.

- Fountaine (10/5): B&B Garden Grecia was a very nice place to stay for a very good price. - Breakfast was well-rounded and filling. The place was beautiful with nature at it's finest surrounding all rooms. The water was nice and HOT (sink and shower). Roberto (owner) is very chill, friendly, and helpful. Any question I had, he answered right away. I will say that at night you can hear the noise or conversations in the next room over. The beds are so comfortable though, I just put some calming music on and was able to fall back asleep.

Parfait pour s'y prélasser en fin de journée. Parking privé pour la voiture. Grande chambre, lit confortable. L'accueil parfait et bon petit déjeuner. La chambre était très grande avec un grand lit. Cependant, le mobilier et salle de bain un peu vetuste. Mais nickel pour un séjour de passage. Petit souci avec la porte de la chambre 1, ou c'est moi qui n'avait pas la technique pour la verrouiller ! 😅

Não gostei de ter ficado apenas uma noite.
- Antje (9/5): Tolle Unterkunft in der Nähe von Vulkan Poas und Flughafen - Die Unterkunft liegt in grecia ca 45 min vom Flughafen San José und 45 min vom Vulkan Poas. Die Anlage ist wunderschön und hat einen tollen Garten mit vielen Blumen und Vögeln. Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber. Morgens wird ein gutes Frühstück serviert. Der Besitzer ist sehr nett. Es gibt auch einen kleinen Pool. Wir haben die zwei Nächte vor unserem Abflug genossen. Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig

Rural & natural garden setting, very close to shops & amenities in town of Grecia less than 10 min drive. Family owned, very warm owners. Delicious typical breakfast included. This had all the warmth of staying in someone’s home but with privacy and a nicely sized room & bath! What a find and incredible value!! Central to places to visit Sarchi, Poas, and other small towns. A real no. Touristy CR experience. Directions somewhat vague and tricky to find on windy road, would not try to drive there in the dark!

- Simone (10/5): Perfect Stopover with the Kindest Host - We stayed at B&B Garden Grecia on our way from San José Airport to La Fortuna, and it was the perfect stopover location. The property is peaceful, easy to reach, and feels like a little hidden getaway. The owner was incredibly lovely and went above and beyond for us, even welcoming us with a smile during an extremely late check-in. In the morning, he cooked us a fresh, delicious breakfast, which was such a thoughtful touch and exactly what we needed before continuing our journey. Our room was clean, comfortable, and perfectly set up, with a nice sense of privacy and a beautiful lookout over the garden. It felt calm, cosy, and very well cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend this B&B for anyone needing a relaxing, friendly stopover near the airport or on the way to La Fortuna!

From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. The host was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond and even offered a free upgrade as there was an opening for a larger unit. The room was spotless,no frills, and quite comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight—fresh, delicious, and clearly made with love. The location was peaceful (and safe) such that we even slept with the slider open at night. That we only had one night here!

- Julie E (8/5): - Super kind and helpful owner picked me up from the airport at night and made a side trip to an ATM that he knew would be operating at 10 pm. The ATM in baggage claim was empty and many ATMs shut down before 10pm. I had an 8am flight the next morning and my destination has no banks or ATMs and many businesses there don"t take credit cards. The owner really saved my bacon and was very gracious about it. He charged a very fair price for the service. This is a very basic place, but looked clean. A few small cockroaches scuttled away when I turned on the lights in the morning, but I think that comes with budget accomodations in the tropics.

Owner was friendly and attentive. Our studio was spacious and clean. Has laundry facilities on site and a nice restaurant the owner recommended a few minutes drive up the road. A bit of a drive from downtown Grecia, which is a plus or minus, I guess. No A/C. But floor fan was enough for us.

- Sandra (10/5): I would love to return or at least visit this place again. - It has been great to meet Ronaldo and his wife. They run this B$B efficiently and are very attentive to help you in any way they can. What I “didn’t “ like is how inconvenient it is not to have paper plates, cups, forks…around. We Americans can learn to be less wasteful here.
- Bonnie (10/5): Exceptional - Thick towels! The first we have found in 2 weeks in Costa Rica. Beautiful grounds, Sun deck is partly shaded, elevated, and great for watching birds Great traditional CR breakfast includes a plate of fresh tropical fruit. Underpowered hot shower, although better than some we've experienced. Bedroom curtains left gaps in coverage of the large window looking onto a grassy rear yard. This yard appears private but we saw someone walk through.
