They also gave us complementary late check out as our baby was due a nap. I found the food to be quite expensive for what it was. We had 2 main courses for lunch in the terrace lounge and 2 glasses of wine and it came to 70 euro which I felt was very expensive for lunch. Adding chicken to a salad should not cost 6 euro

• Clare (2/5): Should’ve booked elsewhere - The view was lovely and the breakfast was decent. Particularly the scrambled eggs. The majority of staff were very pleasant. The mattress was very old. It had lost all its springs. Very uncomfortable. The pillows were cheap and flat. There was sweet wrappers behind the curtain so the room was not serviced properly. The disorganisation and mismanagement was plain for any guest to see. A good hotel just flows and guests see no issues should they arise. This was not the case. Long wait times for unremarkable, overcooked and over priced food. Twice parts of orders were completely missed.

• Julia (9/5): Comfortable 2 day stay - Staff were great and very friendly at reception and breakfast and the bar, and housekeeping were perfectly timed while we were at breakfast, and very fast and efficient. Our request for early check in was also accommodated. Nice big rooms and good bathroom supplies are well. Plenty of coffee/tea in the room. The spa/massage costs seem inflated, and there could be more continental options at breakfast. Breakfast was nice and plentiful though.

When I asked about where to plug in the toaster for gluten free bread I was told to use the main one and had to explain that I would not to a rude waiter. Who provided a toaster on a table with no plug?

• ethornton3 (8/5): Surprising hotel in heartland of Ireland. - Full service hotel,in the Irish heartland. Excellent hotel when touring sites and history in the Meath area. We were here as a part of a grand tour of Ireland. Staff friendly and very responsive. Rooms were larger, American standard, not like Dublin. Great restaurant and bar.

• Adrian (5/5): - Location was central to town & very close to trim castle. The grounds at the rear of the hotel are lovely. Check in was swift with no hassle. Breakfast was complete pandemonium. Huge queues to get into restaurant, queues for tables, queues for the food & if something was empty it wasn't worth going back for because you's have to queue again. Also the bar staff were extremely slow, I waited 26 minutes to get a drink. And Finally my Daughters dinner turned up 15 mins after the rest of the family had finished.

Excellent breakfast… It’s definitely a little overpriced but then it’s on a golf course. I also didn’t like the fact that when I checked in, I had to ask for fresh towels, refreshments and water. We shouldn’t have to do that at a luxury hotel.

• donnabP3067FJ (6/5): Disappointing and not as advertised - Our stay was just ok. We were surprised to see that the hotel from the outside does not look remotely like the video on the website. It is a little more run down (paintwork etc) and is in the middle of a built up housing area. We found this very off putting. The video online is very exaggerated. It was the little touches/ attention to detail that would have made our stay better and more up to 4* standard that it's advertised as. For example, on arrival, whilst it was great that our room was ready early, there was only 2 towels for 3 people and one bottle of water. We had to ask for more. At breakfast there was no hot water out for tea. We had to wait about 10 mins for it to be refilled. On day 2 of breakfast all tables that weren't full of people, were full of dishes that were uncleared. We couldn't find a table that was clean. At dinner, in the restaurant we were approached by staff member with a meal that wasn't ours. It was for someone else. On day 2, similar experience at dinner in the bar area: we were seated at a table, provided with culterly but no menus. After 10 mins I had to ask for a menu. We were also approached again with a food order that wasn't ours. Staff were trying their best but I dont know if it was lack of direction or lack of training that made the service poor. The food was good though. The pool: again exaggerated in video on website. Pool is just ok. 1.3m deep all round so not ideal for kids. No suitable height for kids to stand up its also a little grubby and run down in the changing areas. The button for jacuzzi is on the wall opposite so you have to get out to put the bubbles back on. A button at side of jacuzzi would be better. Overall I would say the hotel is definitely not luxury as advertised. More 3.5 star than 4 srar. Based on location, decor and service. Perhaps it is more geared for golfers - the golfing area did look fabulous 👌
• nicola (8/5): Great getaway for a family - Food was lovely, very family friendly especially when travelling with a toddler. Room was spacious and bed very comfortable, big playground close by. The staff in the bar and restaurant were very busy, there wasn’t enough staff for the volume of people so service was very slow. Staff however were very nice and accommodating.

Excellent service from Hichem in Rococo’s he’s a friendly and funny guy. We went to the spa for deep tissue massages which were fab Eimear and the other girl where great. The staff were lovely.
• D8036XGjaneb (10/5): Thomas on evening reception Good Friday - On Good Friday Evening I checked in to the hotel with my daughter and two grandchildren one only three years old. The three year old was very tired and just needed some warm milk as per her usual bedtime routine. The gentleman manning the reception was very kind and extremely pleasant and helpful.His name is Thomas, he arranged for some warm milk for the little girl and as a result she settled quickly and slept peacefully until 7 o'clock the next morning. A very big Thank You to Thomas for his kindness and professionalism.
• Orlagh (6/5): - Clean rooms and lovely staff 1.Swimming lessons are taking place in the pool every day, the hotel did not notify us that the pool would half closed off and full of children. 2.The food in the restaurant is VERY over priced for what you get and celery in almost every dish, so you better like it. 3.The TV in our room didn't work, we asked for this to be fixed and a lady arrived at our room who didn't have a clue what to do so we had no tv for our stay. Wouldn't go back at all.

Everything was clean and the whole place felt classy. Golf course was in brilliant condition and Kate in the golf shop is the best. Absolutely brilliant. Layout is frist class. I can't recommend this hotel enough Food was great Staff extremely friendly and helpful and I absolutely love the Golf Course...So again 10/10 from us for Knightsbrook and a Very special thank-you to Alexandra Front Desk Manager for arranging an upgrade for us after a slight issue on our last stay in December 2025....

When checking in as a family of 4 they had no joining rooms and had to give us 2 separate rooms not together, the employee did eventually give us 2 rooms together but couldn't understand it wouldn't be safe for the children to have their own room so we had to separate with one adult and one child to each room not ideal for a family night away but like I said the staff member didn't see a problem that we were all their to enjoy our night away as parents and when the children went to bed it would have been nice to enjoy our own company.

The barman did not know the cocktail recepies and used one measure to use different spirits and he was pouring back on the bottle the excess.... There are measures made for cocktails specialy made .. use them... Staff also did not know in the restaurant that the professional way to serv wine is to ask the costumer to taste it at least poor the wine in the glass.... Severely undertrained staff .... Also if you do your spin on a cocktail you should list the changed ingredients for allergy reasons .....

• 794endaj (10/5): A Wedding Weekend We Will Cherish Forever – Outstanding Hotel & Exceptional Staff - We celebrated our wedding at Knightsbrook Hotel & Golf Resort on Friday, 21st November 2025, and from the very first viewing right through to the moment the weekend wrapped up, the entire experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the outset, our wedding coordinator, Mary, was absolutely fantastic to work with. Her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made the whole planning process smooth and genuinely enjoyable. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and she ensured everything ran perfectly on the day. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to guide us through it all. The hotel itself is stunning, and our guests are still talking about it. The reception room looked incredible, and the food was outstanding — so many of our family and friends commented on just how impressive both were. The staff throughout the hotel went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience, and we’re incredibly grateful for the genuine care and effort everyone showed. We even continued the celebrations into Day 2 with a fun golf competition on Knightsbrook’s beautiful golf course, which added a unique and memorable touch to the weekend. All in all, it was a weekend we will never forget, and we’ll be forever thankful to Knightsbrook and their wonderful team for making our wedding so special. We would highly recommend both the hotel and, in particular, Mary to anyone planning their big day. Thank you for giving us the wedding of our dreams.

Hotel Room was not the best - 1 bottle of water provided, no minibar, no slippers, no robe to get to the spa, no hygiene kit. & We didnt get sleep cuz other guests were bangin the door, shouting in corridors, having a party next door til morning & set the fire alarm at 2am!

I think the Salt Grotto was a bit dated and could use a small bit of maintenance, however still a 10/10 experience for me. I had a massage from Victoria who did the most amazing job and O was relaxed for days! - Reception was wonderful, the team were very happy to assist me with anything I needed. The bar staff and reception worked very well together when I enquired about room service and explained the morning routine to me in case I needed assistance. I felt very welcome throughout my stay. - Food was excellent. I had room service my first night and it was the best fish I have had in a long time. Still very fresh and hot when it arrived. Breakfast was a huge selection and staff were wonderful. - The room was comfortable, clean, and well supplied. I appreciated the robe and slippers too!

We had read it wasn't great but it was included in our stay. We wouldn't jump at the chance of another stay here. The food really lets it down unfortunately.

I can't say for certain if he was French but he looked like he was in charge of food service . You could see that he was annoyed but wasn't far of telling us to move on after our dinner .I wasn't even that busy to be that stressed. Great golf course ,great food but maybe tell him to calm down.

When my husband accidently spilled a drink all over the table in the swift bar the whole table was drownded plus my phone and coat the bar tender was serving a table seen what happened and didnt proced to even help i was absolutly astonished and as a guest had to go get cloth and lot of napkins and try and wipe down the whole table dry and move everything to the nearest table while not one member of stuff helped us very disapointed with that to be honest ,while i think one manager was extremly helpful with information on location on where we could go outside of hotel other than that we did enjoy our stay

• Y9738IEwilliamt (10/5): Fantastic Hotel - Not the first time staying at this hotel and certainly will not be the last. from arrival check in and throughout our stay every member of staff was so polite and professional. my wife and I had visited to take in a show on Friday evening 13th March (kings of Vegas) if you considered this show then did not book then you certainly missed out on a cracking evening. performers were fantastic and their interaction with those attending was fab. the welcome into the event and the meal service was excellent, food was delicious. lost for words just to explain just how fantastic an evening and stay we had so enjoyable a relaxing stay at this hotel. we travel down from Co Antrim, but it is our favourite go to place. looking forward to returning soon. Big Thank You to management and staff at this hotel.

The bar and floor staff were so friendly..added to the experience. Our room was so comfortable and breakfast this morning was outstanding. N/A...we enjoyed it all.

The spa is a perfect relaxing experience and the team were very welcoming and kind. I will definitely be back! The hotel room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Excellent amenities in the room including robe, slippers, tea station and multiple towels. Reception staff were amazing and helped with any and all concerns I had. Excellent breakfast. Great selection, all fresh and lots of supply. Wonderful staff too who were happy to help and accommodate me. I also had room service while there and the food was excellent! Service was very quick too. Overall one of the best spa and hotel services I have experienced!

From the moment I walked in, the staff were professional, welcoming, and attentive. The room was spotless, cozy, and beautifully designed. The spa facilities were world-class, allowing me to fully relax and unwind. Spa treatment at The River Spa is a therapy all in all. Thermal Suite and treatment was world class. • beckiejhogan (10/5): Unforgettable Wedding Day - We had our Wedding reception in Knightsbrook in July 2025. Honestly, can't thank them enough for such an amazing wedding day. Everything was organised perfectly. People are still talking about how good the food was and how much they enjoyed the day. We also had our day two in the hotel and that was like a mini wedding day again. The staff were unbelievable, so friendly and accommodating. A massive thank you to Mary & all the staff, particularly to Michaella who looked after us so well on day two.

• Ciara (7/5): Beautiful hotel, but room was too warm to sleep - Beautiful hotel, great food in the restaurant, great to have the leisure centre The room was uncomfortably warm and unfortunately it was very difficult to sleep
• Paul (9/5): Was a lovely place to stay and enjoyable - Breakfast was lovely and presented and plenty of options but only thing I taught was lacking was options of herbal tea . Not to many The heating that came on in the middle off the night we woke up with heat . It was roasting .

And im a very fussy person and I can't fault this hotel. Staff were polite and friendly . I was half afraid after reading the reviews . I would recommend and would stay again
• Josephine (8/5): - Breakfast was lovely, check in was seamless and friendly as was check out. position of bed in bedroom and also the amount of light coming in under the door during the night time - I had to place a pillow in order to block it out.
