Cheney (9/5): A Groovy Little Place on Colorado Blvd. :) - It was clean, neat, and had a lot of drawer and closet space. We were there for our daughter's graduation, so I used every hanger! The owners are kind and accommodating, and property is small, so there's an uncrowded feel to it. I appreciated the roomy bathroom. We also had clean towels and a freshly made bed every day when we returned from our activities, which kept everything neat and made us feel well cared for. Price was good! It would be helpful if the bathroom had towel bars, and there is plenty of wall space for them. Friday morning traffic was noisy for me, but my husband slept through it.

Fridge, microwave and coffe in the room were perfect. Decent size room and all the amenities. The parking lot is free (another good value!) but limited to the available spots.

Niara (10/5): Great remodeling and comfortable stay! - I didn’t catch anyone’s names but the staff was amazing. I checked in late at night around 11pm. I didn’t have to wait long for anyone to come. She checked me in and gave me keys super fast. I was originally booked for 1 night so she automatically gave me a 12pm late check out complementary. I ended up extend for another night and they gave me reasonable rate, also with a late check out. The mini fridge and microwave worked great. 711 was walking distance (about 5 minutes) and they sent new towels as soon as I extended my stay. Great service! You can hear your neighbours.

Carissa (9/5): Cute retro/futuristic feel - The place was obviously upgraded, the rooms were super cute, and even the front desk was aesthetically appealing! The only issue was the parking was a little small and part of the hotel policy stated that if there were no more spots available that you’d need to get a street parking permit. Luckily I didn’t have to do that but I was concerned about it. Also the WiFi didn’t always work but that’s honestly it.

Lacey (7/5): For the price and just one night it was fine!! - Convenient location. Close to thrift stores, coffee, restaurants, and the freeway. Shower got nice and hot and good water pressure. It was quiet on the property. Plenty of storage space in the room to hang things or put luggage away if you wanted to. The tv worked good and had lots of channels/easy to operate. Decent size bathroom. Room was really dark when the lights were turned off. No bugs. Seemed like a house that had been flipped without a lot of effort put into the stuff that matters. The outlets were janky and not in convenient locations in the room. The bedding was really cheap and not super comfortable. The sink sprayed all over the floor if it was turned on all the way. Soap dispenser in the shower was busted off the wall. The toilet paper roll holder was in a weird location (but whatever we just put the roll on the floor). The window didn’t close all the way and the curtains were ripped. I don’t think there was an ice machine anywhere but there was a mini fridge. Nothing that was a deal breaker but it was kind of just meh.
Jackson (9/5): Clean and met expectations - Loved the location of the hotel. Staff was very nice and cleaning crew was prompt to clean the room. Always spoke and asked us if we needed anything. The front desk lady told me that a room complained to her about my baby crying at night. I explained to the front desk lady that I can’t control when my baby cries. She is under 6 months. The front desk lady was very kind and told the other hotel guest that there was nothing she can do because babies cry. She offered me to move rooms if id like so I won’t be by any guest but made it clear that I didn’t have to move if I didn’t want to.

Allura (8/5): Fun night in Pasadena ;) - Room was very large for a hotel, nice table and chairs very cozy had a microwave and fridge, direct TV great channels and big TV. nice sized bathroom loved the shower had cool lighting that could be adjusted and nice black out curtains. bed was also comfy price was great !and also had a security lock. lots of cabinets and places to put things. felt safe flooring in room could be updated, pillows just okay gets the job done. no real complaints

Nancy (8/5): It was really a good value! - It's very clean and I feel safe here. The staff is very nice. I appreciate the good tv, fridge and coffee machine. Also, there is plenty of parking. The only things I noticed were that I couldn't put the sound of the tv very high so that I couldn't hear very well with the Air Conditioner on and I couldn't get any conditioner out of the dispenser in the shower.

Alan (8/5): Good Hotel. - The room was clean and tidy. The bed was really comfy and the pillows were the best we’ve had at any hotel. Downside was that the cover over the light switch in the bathroom fell off very easily and there was a weird smell from the air con. Overall though, the hotel was good.

Bed and all was comfortable. The daily person that came and emptied the trash, brought clean towels, etc., never made my bed… that was very strange that the bed was never attended… Also, the shower did not have a place to place your feet so the better soap the feet and legs, and there was no handles for proper balance… Etc…

The two hanging chairs in the lobby were fun to sit in . I will definitely be back, the owner was very nice and smooth transaction. Thank you Astro Hotel!
Jennifer (6/5): - Love the chairs and lights in the office. This is my 2nd stay in the same room in the last 3 years. We were in the jacuzzi room and it's nicely decorated. The red accents throughout and led lights in spots is great. The room has a nice retro fridge that's always cold along with a microwave. The negatives to this stay is the front office clerk. She was friendly but seemed a little put out that she had to check us in. Also the handheld shower head is still broke in the same spot it was from my last stay. Other then that I probably would stay somewhere else the next trip only because the excitement of the room has worn off. Oh, 1 more thing.. if you're planning to take a bath you'll need at least 40 minutes for it to get full but it's worth it

Verified traveler (6/5): No longer the same...........😢 - I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past. The decor has been very "cute" with the Astro name and equivalent internal decor. I've seen the customer service, and the cleanliness decline over the past years. There were, now only overhead lighting--with no lighting at the bedside. The bathroom also only had overhead lights--nothing for the woman to put make-up on, one-ply toilet paper of which I purchased a good toilet paper. I went throughout the room, using Clorox wipes, which included the bathroom door, which was definitely dirty. It's sad to see this cutesy hotel go downhill--in what seems like the managers are looking to cut costs as much as humanly possible; but unfortunately, it's become a wonderful/cute hotel that I will no longer use for my Los Angeles visits.
