Sehr hellhörig vom Aufenthaltsraum. Uns hat es nicht gestört aber wer empfindlich ist kann vielleicht schlecht schlafen. Frühstück etwas wenig.

There's multiple bathrooms, so it's not an issue even though it's shared. This was much more fun than staying at a hotel.

• Lena (8/5): Ein altes Hausholz mit ganz viel Herz - Sehr authentisch und toll für eine Auszeit. Der Gastgeber ist super freundlich und bietet ein echtes Erlebnis. Das Haus ist alt und nicht perfekt aber man fühlt sich sofort sehr wohl und kann die Seele baumeln lassen: Hängematte, gemütliche Sessel, Hot Tub, Billiard und vieles mehr . Auch das Frühstück war super.
• Pratt-Grey (10/5): - It was Beautiful! Had coffee and breakfast waiting in the morning. My contacts at had to instruct me how to work the lock! Safe I'm 64 so the stairs were a bit steep however I made it just fine!

The place was very clean, and the hosts were exceptionally kind and helpful whenever we had questions. Breakfast was generous and well-prepared, and even though the bathroom was shared, it was well-maintained and never an issue. For the price, we received far more than we expected compared to similar places, which was an outstanding value. We would definitely recommend staying here. We liked everything pretty good.

• Martha (10/5): Cozy & spacious mountain hostel close to hikes, lake, and village! - This place truly felt like a home, because it basically is. The common areas are cozy & spacious, and the porch overlooks the lake. Also, Chaz! He was so welcoming, friendly, and he makes great pancakes! I could not have had a better stay and would highly recommend this hostel to anyone. Nada.
• Verified traveler (6/5): ITH Big Bear - Pictures are very deceiving. Shower was very dirty for about a foot up and the bathmat was so stiff I don't think it had been washed in weeks. I never did get hot water in the sink. There is no insulation between the rooms. Another guest was playing music so loud I couldn't read or sleep and this went on well past 10 pm. The vinyl tile on the floor had up to one inch spaces in in places and my foot was pinched several times not to mention the trip hazard. Hostel or not I expected a clean facility.

• Andrea (6/5): - Check in was easy and receptionist was very nice. The property is also very close to town and Big Bear Lake. However the shower was dirty, and the bath mat had a previous guest’s trash on it. For this reason we didn’t shower during our visit. I believe there are other showers that guests share, but we booked a room with its own shower/toilet for privacy. If you plan on staying out most of the day and just need a place to rest, this is an okay option.

• Alan (10/5): Warm cozy and relaxing, will be coming back! - I loved the asthetic and the type of vibe the place gave. i’ve never stayed at a “Hostel” but my gf and I wanted to spend the night and we found this place being the cheapest per night so we gave it a shot and this place was amazing and cute. We got the bathroom suite, so we had our own bathroom there were absolutely no issues or complaints other than the fact the shower never stops dripping no matter what and it’ll become annoying eventually. But staff was warm friendly and inviting as well as the big bear YOGI the property dog, we went in january of 2025 i cried saying goodbye to yogi as we hope to see him when we return bc we most definitely will. Me and my gf js had an overall great time with no issues at all love this place forsure coming back my next visit 🫶 Water dripping from shower head it is loud

• Tim (6/5): A nice retreat from the weekly grind. - Staff is friendly and helpful. The community room is cozy. Room not sound proof enough from piano “music” or kitchen activities.
• Spencer (2/5): - Multiple people staying in the same room, people coming in and out until 2am in the morning, slamming the door back and forth, entering the code, no respect for other people sleep, then once everyone is in bed, they start snoring and farting, I never stayed in a hotel before I probably wouldn’t ever stay again. Breakfast was extremely limited and I had one egg and a banana. Please is a joke, bathroom toilet did not work and water kept running, so while the bathroom needed to be cleaned or toilet fix the lady is folding sheets, care case of these people do not know what they are doing. After giving a bad review, you get these threatening emails from their staff? Very unprofessional behavior, pay a little more for privacy and a better property. Sunrise was nice outside, except the hippy stoner smoking weed in the front. If you want a crowded smelly, stranger danger stay, this is the place for you. The Chinese Covirent store down the street will also rip you off if you use a credit card. I do not recommend. Also the mattress are super soft and no back support, they use the cheapest material that they could find, also my sheets were dirty with someone long silver hairs.

They have activities to do every night at the hostel, and there is a game room where you can spend your time. Our room was clean, and we loved Yogi the dog. It is a huge plus that the breakfast is included as well. nothing, everything was great!

Everybody there was extremely friendly, and the place is gorgeous 😍 ✨️ 💕 I would highly recommend staying at this cabin! Great place, people, and pricing.

Planning to come back and bring a friend. - Everyone was awesome, Bed was comfortable, fresh air and soothing critter sounds from the forest, comfortable bed, (firm but still soft), and great ambiance. Lovely building from 1919. And got to sing at the open mic!! Well not crazy about sharing a bathroom but it was clean and I think there was only one other person sharing it with me. Plus got a better price to share a bathroom.

• Moline (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful location, good energy. Btw when I left at 2am to beat the heat, Yogi dog was barking at what sounded like wild animals fighting in the woods! Interesting, although this made me think twice about the idea of camping in a tent outside, I'm glad I booked a room & bed to be inside - vs a tent! : ). But otherwise, I might suggest having mace for anyone outside camping! :) . BTW, that entire house has the best flushing toilets I've ever seen. I wonder who the plumber is : ) nice. I have no complaints
