ng_mervyn (8/5): Will return, Decent Facilities, Reasonably priced, Great Views - I would recommend and come back again The views are amazing and a great location, the staff are decent and try their best, which I appreciated. Facilities are good, and there are decent options for children with a kid's pool on level 2. Good for couples, or families and reasonably priced. The suites would be great for hosting a decent sized group to celebrate the new year. The decor is Thai Traditional and not modern decor, so don't expect that. Some design flaws are clearly stated, but can be overlooked due to the rest of the facilities. Atmosphere is relaxed and if you don't expect 5 star anything goes, at 5 star prices you'll be satisfied. Understand the staff enforces hotel policies, so they don't have the leeway to cater to all requests. Expect to pay for additional add-ons which may be clearly stated in your booking policies.
Alexander Nikolaus (10/5): Classy place right on the beach - really nice. Location right on the beach, where the fishing boats land. Lovely design with beautiful traditional Art, 2 nice pools. Kids and parents loved it.
Wayne (4/5): - The Royal Heritage Pavilion is a beautiful h hotel. But they don't understand customer service. First when you check in everyone must give a 1000 baht deposit Ok bad enough but they make you stand there for 5 minutes while the desk clerk fumbles about writing up a receipt. Why don't they prepare the receipts in advance? Next they only give one one room key and charge you 500 baht deposit for the 2nd key and again another 5 minutes waiting for the receipt. Next the room as nice and large with a great view but. Only 3 hangers in the closet empty minibar. No coffee cream or sugar. No kettle for heating water (it took 3 phone calls and a trip down to the desk to get a kettle) only 2 medium size towels and 2 face towels. The internet kept going out and had to be reset. Only a 32inch tv in a premium room. When i ordered a in room massage the door man warned me that if it took over 1 hour that my wife and i would be charged a joiner fee of 1000 baht. Overall a 4 star hotel with 2 star service.

Connie2760 (10/5): Wonderful hotel - I loved this hotel. room with access to pool. Staff was awesome. Food was very good. Room was very nice. we loved the Asian decor. Kind of far from Pattaya & Baht buses don’t like driving that far. But it’s worth it. I will be back.
Fastidiousme (4/5): Tired and in need of refurbishment - A very tired and shabby hotel, in need of renovation. Don’t be deceived by the photos on the website. Pool area, although on the roof offering good views, was old and required refurbishment. The bed was uncomfortable, with old sheets and a thin duvet. The pillows were worn out and you needed three instead of one as they were so thin. The breakfast was poor, with little choice. Very slow replenishment of the buffet-style food and most of it cold. Restaurant floor dirty, as were the tables. To sum up: an old, overpriced hotel that needs a full make-over.

Em (4/5): Close to beach - Beds were as hard as cement, breakfast was only catering for Chinese. Chinese groups were loud. We stayed 10 nights and hardly slept. Swim up room was nice but that’s all. There were no amenities in room. No glasses, tea, coffee. It wasn’t a hotel I would return to. The staff were lovely though. That’s the only positive.
Todd (6/5): Solid 3.5 rating be careful of extra charges - Clean hotel, all Thai staff is friendly but they ask for a 1000Thb per room at check in but most Thai hotels do as for this. Hotel is out of the was across the road from the beach, this was quite and far enough from the busy night life to make sleeping enjoyable. Breakfast was very bland but if you ask they will make you Omelets but don’t advertise that fact. At check in, you are told what is free water.. ect but when you leave they tell you there are different types of water and you must pay. Word of advice if you have anything that you didn’t bring yourself be prepared to pay for it. The pool is beautiful but always cold if you or your kids are going to use but in the heat it’s a nice option to have. If the price is right I would recommend this hotel. I would give it a solid 3.5 rating
Stefan (4/5): Lack of service and attention - while the Hotel rooms are acceptable, the staff attitude and Service isn't. Arrived in the parking garage, no one showed up to help with the lugage, no security. Had to bring up the luggage ourselves, no Elevator. Check in took ages since the first Lady could not find Reservations, we had 2 rooms. Rooms are listed as luxury suites, but actually a bit bare, coffee Cups are there, but no coffee, no spoons. Comment from reception: we have group travel from China, and the small items always disappear. Pool had chairs, but no cushions. This could be a nice Hotel, if the Management would direct attention at customer Service. At this Level, not again for us

But The receptionist said there is no room available when we arrived around 3:30 pm at hotel , offered me to come back next day to get a room but waited for 4 hours finally got a room with not a nice view after i have phoned to agent and I have requested to see a manager but no manager in the property and they only give me a email address of manager . of course there was no response when I send email. Staff are not helpful at all and only insist the guest that to call expedia.com or come back next day.

Checkout staff were rude. Overall it felt like young thugs were working, it wasn't a good feeling. Hotel was cheap so you pay for what you get.

Chris (4/5): Adequate Hotel at quiet end of Jomtien Beach - Hotel consists of two parts, the front being the original and the new (Heritage) at the rear, but sharing the same not-so-easily seen entrance from a driver's perspective. If visiting, look out for two cream signs mounted one above the other. Breakfast looked OK but nothing was hot, including the coffee. Tried again another day but much earlier. Sadly much the same, nothing was hot. People considering the poolside rooms should pay caution as one needs to be a little agile, not so much for entering the pool but for getting out as there are no steps (wasn't on my section anyway). If you require a hotel in the quiet sector of Jomtien beach, this is quite adequate. There is plenty of local transport passing by the Hotel, so no problem getting around. Room had a small kettle but strangely no tea bags or coffee so bring your own.

JR (8/5): Great hotel, but empty - Stayed in this hotel for one week, very nice hotel, but very empty. The only time I seen other hotel guest was at the breakfast buffet and that was 3-4 other hotel guest. Very kind of eerie being in such a quiet hotel. Great hotel if you like quiet. Little hard to find street food near hotel, but easy 10 baht bus ride to Jomtien night market for good food. Breakfast in hotel I rate 6 out of 10 because food was cold most of the time and the bread was hard from being left out for long periods of time. Room is clean for the most part only complaint is the outside patio area where the room connects to the pool was kind of dirty and had ants but the hotel in general is very clean and always being cleaned by hotel staff.
gringo68 (6/5): Quite a good option. - My lovely wife and I stayed here in late March. In general it was a good stay and we would definitely consider staying here again. The hotel is in a good location, across the road from the beach. It is a reasonably quiet area, however not too far to walk or jump on the baht bus for a bit of nightlife etc There were issues with wifi for 2 days but eventually sorted. Our rate included breakfast. To be honest, the breakfast was below par. Overall it was a good stay. Would recommend hotel to others. Location and value for money.
Stephen (6/5): Not clean - Nice balcony but could not use it for the first half of our stay due to bird droppings. Maid finally cleaned it after third time we asked. Bathroom had a very unpleasant smell all the time and room floor was still wet from being cleaned one day so I used one of the towels to dry it. Afterward that towel was black, started out white. Pool had green algie growing in every corner.
Tazza72 (4/5): Did they give themselves 4 stars? - This is not a 4 star hotel or even close to it. At best it would be a 2 1/2 stars. The staff are rude and the fact I am in the land of smiles and yet to see one at the Royal Heritage just about sums it up. Avoid if you can. The rooms have no real amenities like tea or coffee which you would expect from a 4* hotel. We had to call room service back 3 times to clean the bathroom enough for us to go in it. There is not a single working umbrella in the hotel so you either sit in the boiling hot sun or your room - not a single piece of shade anywhere. I have stayed in lots of hotels all over Thailand and some of them have been extremely basic but the friendly staff have been a redeeming feature or the clean rooms or excellent breakfast etc. This hotel does not have a single redeeming feature all the drinks are overpriced the service is poor, the food is poor, the rooms are dirty the pool is dirty (yesterday there were floating cigarette's in the pool) and the debris around the edge of the pool has been there for the last couple of days that we have been here......... Better options available at better prices so don't bother - looks like they have big tour parties so have completely given up on customer service.
Huubheide (2/5): The worst service ever - This was the worst experience in over 20 years travelling to Thailand. Staff is not attentive. Only interested in their mobile Phone and the buss loads of Chinese comming in every day. Tried to deliver laundry, but it would cost 2 days and 10 (!!!) Times the price of the laundry around the corner. When I wanted to speak to the manager about another issue I could only reach him by Email. I wrote an email but of course no reply. .... Only interested in one time visitors, Will never go back!
Verified traveler (8/5): nice hotel on quiet beach - I stayed here for a week, very quiet area of Pattaya. Staff was pleasant, room was nice. Unfortunately was farther from downtown Pattaya, shopping etc then I wanted. However once I learned the bus system 10BHT a direction it was great.
MIke (4/5): Precious WIFI - If the WIFI is included why the hell do i need to constantly be longing in with a new password and user name every day, or every time I connect to a different router in the hotel. Like everyone else I have a laptop and a cellphone that i need to connect. This was a constant headache and frustration. Breakfast was poor, especially the pastries that where consistently stale for the entire week, or maybe desiccated would be a better word. Coffee was instant coffee but at least it was strong. Lots of people chewing with their moths open. In room air conditioning is nice but don't expect to get any sleep unless you own noise canceling headphones.
Gary (4/5): bad exprience - the stay is lousy, i have book a pool access room and i was told the pool cannot be use for the next two days.A day before we check out we have book a mini bus from the hotel but on the day when we check out the mini bus does not show up and after 4 hours with numerous check and lot of excuses from the hotel staff the bus finally arrived.
davjav (6/5): Ok for the money - Just spent 2 weeks here and after the lack of reviews on here and worrying reviews on agodo really felt we had booked a really poor hotel. We arrived around 9 pm and were met with chaos on reception and a few cats so didn't start well. We then had to pay 1000 bhat to cover the mini bar. We then were given wifi codes and advised breakfast vouchers would be issued, we did not book breakfast so this was a bonus. We got to the room and the key didn't work.it's a contactless card type so had to get it reprogrammed we were told a additional key would have an extra charge so didn't bother,the room was of a good size on the 9th floor with secluded balcony and sea view. The room could have done with more storage and hangers but was ok. The bathroom was nice size but could have had a deep clean around the shower edges where it was quite mouldy. The shower itself was brilliant though really powerful and hot. The air con in the room was also excellent. As the first day passed and we got to find our bearings we really liked the hotel position just across the road from the beach and close to local restaurant and shops.. The 10bhat bus was easy to use as well although the didn't alllways go up as far up as the hotel so sometimes had to walk some of the way back but not a problem. At times I think we were the only guests in the hotel and at weekends it was packed mainly with Asian tourists . The pools were nice but started to go green on 2nd week so we didn't use them. Also the gym was closed but we never wanted to use that. A bar would have been nice but there are many close by. Overall the hotel is fine but the beds were quite hard, the rooms were however cleaned daily and 2 bottles of water delivered each day Which was nice. I would not rate it as a 4 star but for the price we paid was more than acceptable. Although we had breakfast vouchers we never used them as always got up too late and missed it. As we checked our in the early hours the 1000 bhat was returned as we didn't use the mini bar. The security guard though was fast asleep as we left so waste of time him being on duty Ideal as a base and if you get a good deal worth booking this hotel but it's not a high service hotel.
Mark (10/5): Great hotel in Jomtien for a quiet getaway - Excellent value here. I had an ocean view room which was very spacious and well maintained. Hotel staff, although not very strong with english (common in the area) were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast buffet was decent... a little repetitive but prepared well enough. I only docked them a point on the hotel facilities because the lower pool barely gets any sunlight due to how the hotel was constructed, making it a bit of a waste. A point was also docked for room comfort because the beds are VERY firm. If you're used to a pillow top mattress, this might be a bit of an extreme. It's also a ways down Jomtien beach from the night market and other action, but a few baht and you can jump on a tuktuk to get there in 10 minutes.
Duncan (8/5): Staff are first glass - The hotel could do with redecorating in the rooms, but overall very happy. The main point is the staff, very helpful and friendly. Well done !
Stewartanderson (6/5): The staff in the restaurant needed to get their cloths washed, they all looked dirty. - We have stayed here a few times, but not since they built the extension. And found this Hotel very nice. But since they have done the extension, the only fault I could find was the staff, once away from the check in desk, all needed to smarten up, the cloths they wore looked very dirty. This was a real put off.
Andre (8/5): - Everything is very good. Only one thing negative is the buffet breakfast. Eggs were cold and most dishes were just lukewarm.
Henry (8/5): Well done Royal Heritage!!! - This is my third time staying at this hotel and I have only praises for the improved overall standards and general well being of my stay. Room was spacious and clean and everything works well including the wifi and the check in/out process was very smooth. The new car park is quite large and the breakfast spread is pretty delicious. The staff are most excellent. So, well done again and I will return again soon.
