Guest Reviews
- Nino (6/5): - The receptionist no smile, no welcome drink, not nice when she talk to me . I don’t recommend for this hotel.
- Yohan (10/5): - good hotel. Nothing special. Though. It judtifies the price
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice - Nice location, cheap, and clean...
- NABILA (4/5): - They provide only Indonesian food for breakfast, we ended up having only bread. Its not hurt to make at least one international dish that everyone can eat like egg. Not worth it paying for room with breakfast. At 10am on our last day, we heard loud noise sound from vacuum for about 30min. There is hair under my bed, smelly towel.pn my first day there is foot stain on my bed and the staff immediately change the bed cover after I complaint. No safebox, no window for superior room. They are not responding to email as before I get here I email 3 times to ask about airport transfer. Not going to come back to this hotel, and not going to recommend it.
- ifaa2019 (2/5): BEAUTIFUL HOTEL BUT NOT AS EXPECTED - For 1 day its free. But when i ask for the second day? They said need to pay for the iron if u want to use. Why?No iron is provided?and need to pay if want to use it?i am requesting for the iron, not asking the staff to ironing my blouse. As far as i know, every single hotel will provide the iron for their guest FREE and no charge .Bad service and i`m also really dissapointed with the housekeeping ,some of my stuff was missing include my 50MYR and my Mary Kay face cream lolz. Not blaming but this is really dissapointed.

- Yeshie (8/5): - Lokasi strategis. Sarapan sederhana.
Kamar mandi agak bau.
- Wilibona (6/5): Nice hotel but just OK room - Arrived at the hotel close to midnight after a long trip. The exterior of the hotel feels welcome, and the check in process is rather quick with the staff is very receptive. Arriving at the room:
1. The room is rather average size, not too big or not too small. The bed is very comfortable. However, there is no window. The lighting is also on the darker side, not enough to light the room. Trying to find any additional lighting to no avail.
2. Bathroom: Really basic. The drawback is that there is no separation between the toilet and shower, so get ready for the bathroom to be really wet after shower.
There are enough attractions near hotel, like movie theater.
Overall, acceptable and clean hotel, but probably will stay at other hotel at the same price range due to no window in the bedroom or the shower area.
- CynthiaP1677 (8/5): Nice budget hotel - Located in the center of the city, this hotel has a great location. It is near the Empire XXI. The room was clean and spacious. Surprisingly they had kettle facilities in this budget hotel. Bathroom was good.
- Rob (6/5): - We wouldn´t book this hotel again.
- PT. Hidup Baru (10/5): - OK
- 550rimas (4/5): Not as expected. - stayed there for 2 nights with my friends and book 2 superior room, the good thing is the hotel is easy to reach, but the receptionist wasnt that friendly, i called to request a hairdryer but they said they'll inform if its available but they didnt even call me back to say anything, the ac was hot, shower was broken, the room wasnt soundproof so its so noisy but the main prob is they didnt even make up the room as i request, they only make up the bed and the others still dirty. Too bad.
- 756kettyt (4/5): Not as good as it saysA - I spent two nights over there in two different rooms. One was having trouble with AC which was not working. Second was terrible, the bed sheet was damn dirty, we found some dirt like sand on the bed. Smells aweful. The front desk was very stiff and not much helpful.
- DCaveman (8/5): Overnight place - Too far away from the real Jogya, you don't get the real feel of the charming city but ideal to get to the airport either by public transport or taxi. There's an excellent Indian restaurant 2 doors down.
As for the hotel, it's modern and comfortable with everything you could need.
- Good (8/5): Good location - This is my second stay . The fist one had really bad experience with the bathroom smell but this time has perfect.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Avoid - No windows and the bathroom smells really bad due to mold. Front desk day staff couldn't help me with any information.
They were just laughing... I guess they are used to have tourist.
- marialnia (4/5): Strategic location, but lacking of comfort - i spend only 1 day with my husband, as i expected to get the clean n comfy hotel eventough its a budget hotel but at least not to disapointed. the room itself was ok, not small quite spacious, but the bathroom is odd i think bcoz there's no separate between shower and sitting toilet so the water can easy spread anywhere and get slipery. the towel i got was so dirty and has a red spot in the towel everywhere, so disgusting. i wonder was they ever washed it? for breakfast, space is small and the food is ok, but not delicious. also i got bad experience when i check out and missed my handphone charger and hotel management said it was lost, they give compensation because my hard complain why they not handle my complain on that day right away but the day after i complain. and then on the afternoon they said they found my charger,,what a sloopy hotel. i think next i wont stay at that hotel again,,
- kikoadh (6/5): If you're only looking for a place to sleep - I just got back from Tickle Hotel today after spending 3 nights in their superior room.
Our room was quite spacious, even though it's superior (not deluxe room). We had LCD TV with cables on, so we were quite entertained. There was tiny little window in the room, you can't see much of Yogyakarta's scenery through that window. The bathroom had shower in it BUT the knob was kind of broken so we had to call the receptionist to fix it at 11 pm. And the showering area wasn't separated with the rest of the bathroom so the floor was very slippery! They also did not provide any shampoo or any other bathroom amenities. All we got was liquid soap (or was it also shampoo?) and toothbrush.
One good thing in the room that we really appreciated was the electric kettle. Although we weren't provided any coffee and tea, the kettle was good enough for us to cook cup noodles.
There's parking lot but it was very small, so if you visit in the peak season just be prepared to park your car sooner than other guests.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and we're so happy about the rate (we got a great deal at Agoda) but the bathroom could've been better.
- anneangee (8/5): Very friendly front-liners, odd bathroom - The front-liners are very friendly. The hotel is near to Giant and Superindo supermarkets, in case you need to buy some needs near where you are staying. The place is located near XXI, Starbucks, fabric stores, and Galeria. Not very far from the airport. I just don't like the bathroom. The glass partition is soo narrow and the water is all over the room when I got shower. The access to the parking basement was also odd. I had to 'sneak' and passed their kitchen to go downstairs. I felt like a 'sneaking' guest.
- Sugiarto (4/5): Hotel Kecil lokasi strategis
Akhirnya kami putuskan cari Hotel lain
- Lily M. (8/5): Close to textile shops and right next to GIANT! - Overall, 4/5! It would be great if the hotel does food room service and allow early check in and late check out.
- 562nuniks (8/5): Nice hotel, but noisy - Great cheap hotel, the staff was thoughtful and helpful. Friendly Mr. Furqon handled me from check in and he let me to enter the room 30minutes earlier. The room was good, clean, the bed was super comfy. However, the shower tap was tricky, no toothpaste, and the room was not soundproof at all so i can't sleep well because the noise from the next room could be heard, eventhough it was just the sound of water. The breakfast also not so delicious but not so bad; average. Maybe i'll stay here again next time.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Juni 16 - Gut um die Tempelanlagen anzusehen
- MICHELE (8/5): Una notte a Yogyakarta - Luogo tranquillo.
- Djianto (2/5): low cost but low quality as well - I checked in this hotel by booking via expedia, it stated include breakfast, free parking and free internet. However, when I do my check-in to this hotel, the counter lady said no breakfast until we argue for awhile with ending up free breakfast for 1st night only and the rest need to pay unless expedia confirm about this. However until my last day, the expedia also did not help too much since those statement did not appear on their itinerary, though it appear in their website (they did not offer no breakfast option though for this hotel in expedia website).
Furthermore, I found the internet speed pretty low and practically I cannot use it anymore and I have to use my own mobile modem for browsing. Some light bulb are broken which made to room pretty dark and not suggested for business traveler who need to work in the room at night.
In total I am not satisfied my experience to stay in this hotel and also made my booking via expedia.
- ris_zang (4/5): only for transit - It is better if I told my experience in this hotel
I booked a room for 6 nights by one of those travel app, when I arrived at this hotel at 9 o'clock, I was asked to wait until 14 o'clock. At 11.30 o'clock I was told that a room was ready but I should pay 15% if I wanted to get in so I refused because it is just 2 more hours.
When I get in to the room on 3rd floor, the internet was not connected, I called and asked for the internet but I was told to wait until 23 o'clock because the IT officer arrived at that time. The internet could connect at 23.30 o'clock but when I checked in the morning it was not connected again.
On afternoon I was moved to 2nd floor because internet connection on 3rd floor was having trouble and it appeared that it cannot be fixed. In this room, the air conditioner was not cold at all. You could turn it on on 16 degrees and just feel a little breeze. Internet connection was on but very slow. In this room you could also hear baby cried and people talked and moved things in the next room.
The good side of this hotel
- near trans Yogyakarta bus stop, you could access this by walking
- near places for photocopy and printing, they are next to hotel and on LPP
- near a lot of shopping place, start from supermarket like giant and superindo to clothing stores.
- the staff were polite and diligent
- Juneth14 (8/5): Ideal location - The hotel definitely has an ideal location in the city, easy access to the airport and shopping areas. The staffs are kind and attentive. The rooms are neat and clean though the air-conditioning in the room is not cold and the bed is not so comfy.
- petra (10/5): Imlek - Perbanyak Promo kamar include breakfast
- haryou (6/5): OK hotel near the city center - Good experience overall, nothing fancy about the hotel, but we got a clean deluxe room with a small window facing west, so I had to lower the aircon temperature in the afternoon.
Breakfast is decent, enough to fill your energy to travel around the city until lunch time. The good thing about the hotel is its located near the city center so it is very easy to go anywhere with relatively easy access to get a cab.
The worst part of the hotel is its wifi connection which is unbelievably slow with less than 0,5 Mbps based on Speedtest.net -- so it's not recommended for business travelers who might need much faster internet connection.
Conclusion: recommended if you just need a reasonably priced transit hotel near the city center of Yogyakarta.
- conanb34 (6/5): A Hotel Near to the Cinema - It's a good hotel with good interior and exterior decoration. Unfortunately staying in this hotel s like stay in a box. My room doesn't have window, so it's like in the box. The bathroom also become important point. Towel, soap and cleaning is not good. Finally breakfast menu, not me la. But you will have a bonus when you stay here, you can hear your neighbors room singing and crying.
The good thing from the hotel is the hospitality of the staff. Thank you
- Bbayuaji (4/5): Strategic Place but Not so comfy - I was stayed for 2 nights in this hotel, the hotel has a strategic location near some café and in front of the Cinema. Hence, when I enter the room it not impressed me as I look at the reviews, the bed sheet is dusty and not so white and when I enter the bathroom, it was smelly. When I try the hot water it was not hot at all and the other disappointment was the towel is rugged and not in a good condition.
- Nadiatam (8/5): Good hotel - As advertised nothing special. Very comfortable in regards to room. Breakfast is average. In the middle between town and airport. Not for relaxing more like a transit hotel. Ok for short stay but there are other place around for stay......
- PalawanTourGuide (8/5): Great Stay! Recommended! - We arrived very early at the hotel and our rooms were not yet available but they were kind to let us in a room for us to rest from an early morning flight. Rooms are nice with big beds too, our room has a working a/c with good wifi connection however the other room we had had trouble with a/c and maintenance did not fix it immediately. My friends had to transfer to another room the following day since the aircon cannot be fixed anymore. Demand for room transfer if your a/c is not working properly. Buffet breakfast has decent choices and delicious. They let us eat during our arrival since we will leave very early on the third day and would not be able to avail of the breakfast. Everyday staff prepared bread for guests that will take the sunrise tour to borobudur temple and for those with flights. We stayed a total of 2 nights.
- LAI KA KELVIN (6/5): - A little bit far from the shopping area. The buffet breakfast mainly serve Indonesia food, should be more international food. Hotel staffs are very friendly.
- Daisy (8/5): - Bagus, ditingkatkan saja. Cuma sabun di kamar mandi tidak ada.
- Fikriani (8/5): great experience - Booked this hotel via Agoda for 2nights stay. I booked for standard room, but the hotel gave me an upgrade, so I had bigger room and bigger balcony. The location is good, right in the main road, not that far from Airport (about -20mins depends on traffic), near TransJogja Bus stop and about 5-15min drive to Tugu Jogja, malioboro and UGM.
If you are looking for the budget hotel in Yogyakarta, you might consider this hotel.
- fajarperdana (8/5): Great budget hotel - stayed for 4 nights, location is not exactly at the tourism hub, which makes it great if you want to avoid the noise like I did. Located on a one way street, but no problem since the detour is not that long.
Next to it is a great bakery/cafe called Cinema Cafe. Breakfast buffet is OK for Indonesians.
Booked a standard (windowless) room, but got upgraded. Room is of adequate size, hot water is not really hot but I found it enough for the sweltering dry season. I really like the bed, it's not your tipical "budget hotel firmness" if you know what I mean.
Hotel can call a metered cab easily for your travel needs, they also have car rental contacts.
On the third day we called the rental, got a good price to go to Prambanan, batik and silver makers.
Oh, if you are an aviation enthusiast, the outdoor lounge on the third floor provides a great view of planes making their approach to the airport.
- guruhbayun (8/5): Reconsider again if you stay for days - Book through traveloka, this hotel display was amazing. With dim light, proper bed for couples, and average service.
Breakfast is standard with no variety, there is one way road in front of the hotel that cause us to go around when we go back from exploring yogyakarta.
There is no plug near the sink, that might be difficult for guest to plug in their gadget. Mostly, it was a pleasure stay but we will consider to stay here next time.
- Claudiu (10/5): great hotel - Great hotel, nice staff, comfortable bed, it's a bit far from Malioboro street but you have a trans jogya bus station near or you can reach it by taxi approx $3, wifi working great if you need to work, if you stay more than 1-2 days you can skip breakfast as it's the same every day nasi goreng
