• Kwai Wah (10/5): A very pleasant stay... good location... nearby shopping center and restaurants - Apartment is connected to shopping centre via underground car park so no need to cross road. The area around the shopping centre is closed off to traffic until 7.30am and residents are seen doing their morning walks which my husband and I enjoy every morning. They let us store our luggage, flowers, & food requiring refrigeration before checking in. Our housekeeper Clarence was very professional in servicing our room & providing us with necessary amenities. He was also helpful in showing us how to operate the shower. World class service with a smile is how I’d describe our accommodations here. Thank you.

• ADA MAE (9/5): Home away from home - The staff is very accommodating on my requests. They extended an extra mile during our stay with having to bring up food delivery to our room. Also they are trustworthy as they respect the belongings of the guests. Also the place’s accessibility to power plant mall is just invaluable. I think the restaurant could improve better. Maybe revamp their menu. This has always been an issue to me. While the restaurant staff are all accommodating amiable their menu needs to improve.

It’s consistently exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which we really appreciate. The rooms are very spacious and come with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff warmly welcome you every time and are always ready to assist, making the whole experience even better. It’s always a hassle-free and enjoyable stay for us!

The staff from the front door, concierge, housekeeping & security are courteous & friendly. Clarence (housekeeping) & Airah (OTJ trainee) keeps our apartment meticulously clean, always asks us if we need anything & responds to our needs (facial tissues, bottled water, toilet paper, etc) immediately. One day during our stay, the air conditioning unit in the living area broke down. The staff offered to move us to another unit right away. Since we were out for the day, we declined when we knew it would get fixed the same day. The air conditioner was back on upon our return . Rollie Portudo, the security staff, in the tunnel always greets us with a warm smile every time. He helps us carry our groceries & other purchases without being asked. He is always a welcoming person when we come for a visit. We look forward to our next visit & once again see the familiar faces of the staff.

From the warm welcome at arrival to the smooth check-in and check-out, the staff’s genuine hospitality made us feel right at home. The highlight was the surprise waiting in our room. Balloons, a delicious chocolate cake, and a heartfelt birthday song from the housekeeping team. It brought such a big smile to my husband’s face and made the celebration extra special. Our grandchildren had a wonderful time, especially enjoying the swimming pool and the banana chips. Aruga truly lived up to its name by creating a stay filled with care and thoughtful touches. We look forward to coming back and celebrating more milestones here.

• Kirby (8/5): Nice place to stay in Makati, near the airport. - This is in the Rockwell complex in Makati. It is only 20 minutes (to 90 minutes depending upon traffic) to the airport. It is attached to a huge mall (quick walk through the parking garage) with lots and lots of great places to eat. There is also some shopping available in the mall. Rooms are big and comfortable. There is a free golf cart shuttle to take you around the big Rockwell complex (but not bring you back, but everything is within walking distance). The one bedroom suites were different sizes and you didn't know which one you would end up getting. Most were big enough, but some have a very small living area. The breakfast is not a buffet; there are about 10 different things you can order. The service can be very, very slow. There were 7 of us and the food would come at different times....over 30 minutes apart.

The food was delicious, but the staff didn't seem very welcoming, and the food took a while to come out. It was a busy morning, but it was not an enjoyable experience. The pool was also disappointing. The kid pool was closed for repairs, and there were no towels available.

The front-of-house and housekeeping staff deserve 5 stars—they are genuinely kind and professional. ​Unfortunately, the management operates with a surprisingly cheap mindset that ruins the experience. Despite paying premium rates, I was denied a second coffee at breakfast because of a "one-coffee-per-day allowance"—an embarrassing level of nickel-and-diming for a hotel of this caliber. ​Furthermore, my specific request to have my laundry folded and packaged was ignored; the shirts were simply returned on hangers, budget-motel style. It’s a shame to see such a great property and hardworking staff held back by a management team more focused on petty cost-cutting than guest satisfaction.

• I7043GPpamm (10/5): A home away from home - My stay at Aruga by Rockwell Hotel was an excellent experience because of its convenient accessibility to the mall and nearby businesses. The staff were very hospitable and made me feel comfortable even while I was away from home.
• raec345 (10/5): Favorite hotel in Manila, I feel like a VIP - Location is amazing, it’s in the middle of everything and very close to BGC and Makati Central District where most of my work appointments are. Atmosphere is always great, as I always feel so comfortable and at-home. Aircon cools well and the entire place is always clean. The rooms are all so comfortable. It has a lived-in feel to it without making it feel like so many people has used it. It feels like your own. It’s a little pricey but it’s worth every cent. There is also relatively no noise at all that would irritate you or make you uncomfortable. Service is AMAZING. Bianca, Cairo, Paul, Ms. Cha, Sir Rollie… all of them are so great at making you feel like you’re very well taken care of.

We had a wonderful stay with their amazing staff, clean & safe property, strategic & convenient location with daily breakfast (3 resto options) included! Everyone was nice, friendly, professional & accommodating starting with their Sr. Sales Exec, Pam Gallardo who attended to every need & request. Other staff, Renz, Kairo & John were exceptional. Rea, John & Che were likewise helpful. We know that Aruga will be our choice on our future visits. We highly recommend you do the same. Thanks Aruga for taking such good care of us!
• celinc2026 (8/5): Sweet Place - All was good — location, rooms, bkfast! Only letdown was their television service. You have to pay for everything unlike other hotels and AirBnBs in other cities and countries.
• Kirby (7/5): - Nice sized, comfortable rooms. Easy walk to mall. TV channel selection. Not much options. It depended upon the room and which TV you had. Some TVs had Sky cable, some had Fire TV and some had Samsung free channels. The breakfast was not great and cold be very slow. It was not a buffet, but order by menu with about 15 items on the menu. There were 7 of us and one morning, no one got their meal at the same time. It took 50 minutes from the time the first meal arrive until the last arrived. Other mornings were similar although not quite as bad.

First day, my son saw a cockroach in the toilet door. This was very surprising as I haven’t encountered that in my stay on any 4-5 star hotels and apartments.

I liked this location which I feel safe and everything is here that you don't even have to find a place to eat or just scroll around. The staffs of Aruga are friendly and accommodating. I like to give an excellent service that was provided by Clarence on the 3rd floor. I will always be booking this hotel from now on until I eventually could moved to Proscenium when I retire.

Most importantly, the service of all the staff were excellent. All of them, the guards, receptionists, housekeeping staff, were always willing to assist with smiles on their faces. We loved our stay and will stay there again in the future.

• 359imeldac (10/5): Perfect spot to stay and enjoy a relaxing and quality vacation! - We stayed for 3 weeks and received exceptional customer service, especially Renz from housekeeping - hardworking, pleasant personality, respectful & friendly; he kept our room clean, bed with crisp sheets and neatly made, fresh towels, toilet & kitchen supplies and drinking water replenished. The front desk & engineering were always helpful and responsive to our calls. I highly recommend Aruga for exceptional comfort, proximity to Powerplant Mall and surrounding shops within Rockwell for high end shopping and choices of good resto to dine in. Their basement parking is connected to the mall where you can just walk a very short distance and shop to your hearts content! .

• Manuaa20 (8/5): Memorable family celebration and staycation - Aircon dripping in the living room. We celebrated an event in Prologue the night before and stayed overnight at 2br suite. Staff in Prologue and housekeeping in Aruga are great and attentive and very attentive. Room has complete appliances and has a great view. Great for long-term stay. Breakfast is superb. After checkout, the security personnel at the tunnel going to powerplant mall asked a lot of questions to the first group of our family members before he allowed them passage to the mall. then afterwards when it was our turn, he asked for our room number and then he said sarcastically “and dami nyo dun ah” or something to that effect..we rented 2br suite and of course it was check out time and some who went with us were just family members who were just visiting upon checkout so we could eat lunch together. It was rude but I dont want to cause a scene or delay our family get together so I just ignored his sarcasm.

• 841toniep (10/5): Christmas at Aruga - My family and I spent our christmas weekend at Aruga. As per usual, the room was very clean and spacious, even relative to other high end hotels. Also, Aruga’s access to powerplant has always been a plus. What was particularly special with our stay was the holiday experience. The holiday amenities and greeting cards were a nice festive touch. Rockwell has always gone all out for christmas decorations, but the Aruga lobby decorations were really beautiful. It was also a great plus that being a guest gives you discounts to some of the best restaurants around rockwell for a great holiday meal. The service was also really commendable. Bianca, Danielle and Karen were very welcoming and so full of the holiday spirit! They were also very informative and accommodating. Guest services in general were able to accommodate our call requests at random times of the day. The bellmen, specifically Kairo and Paul, were also very helpful and patient in assisting us to and from our rooms. Every single staff member had a smile on their face which was really great for the holidays. Overall, it was such a wonderful experience for me and my family. Will certainly spend more holidays at Aruga :)

The property is in high demand, especially for special occasions, as many guests choose to stay here. We booked a 3-day, 2-night stay for our year-end event, so we weren’t able to fully enjoy the amenities aside from breakfast. Despite checking in late due to work, the process was smooth and hassle-free. Considering it’s in a high-end area, the stay offers good value for money. Cleanliness is impeccable, and the management is very strict about noise since it is also a residential property, which makes the environment peaceful and comfortable (an added advantage for guests who value a noise-free environment). The rooms and service are consistently top-notch. We’ve been staying at Rockwell for years, and it has never disappointed us. Special thanks to Pam for handling our year-end party arrangements so professionally and accommodating our last-minute requests with ease.

• Leticia (9/5): Regular stay in Rockwell - The room is really spacious, quiet and with a very nice view and furniture. The staff is always really kind and trying to help. The gym is well equipped and really clean. The location is perfect with great restaurants and cafes nearby, and the best mall in Manila just across the street I'm not particularly a fan of the restaurant food for breakfast. Even if they have some continental options, I think the portions are small and way too oily to my taste. But the ambiance of the cafe area is great for meetings and coffees.
