Guest Reviews
- Jean-Luc (8/5): - A
- Irina (8/5): - Centrally located. Concierge very nice and welcoming. Must take flight of stairs before can take elevator, so be aware when you have luggage. Clean room and was warm on a chilly day. Recommend.
- Pete (6/5): - Dirt cheap hotel in the area, you get what you paid for. If you are by yourself and all you need is a place to sleep for a night, I guess that's fine.
- Evelyne (10/5): - Très bon rapport qualité prix pour cet hôtel situé proche du boulevard Haussmann.
Bon accueil.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Convenient for Paris St Lazare railway station.
Nothing other than net curtains in my room so no privacy (admittedly on 4th Floor, but facing offices). Noise from the cobbled road is significant and you’ll need earplugs.
- Vanessa (10/5): - Highly recommend. A very good place to stay when I travel in Paris. The clerks are friendly. The balcony is lovely. The room is spacious and comfy with a reasonable price.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was ok. Noisy but clean staff was good. Very helpful call ing shuttles and taxi.
- buyer (2/5): - this hotel is too noisy and even staff doesnt tell me anything about that.
- A (6/5): - Very bare bone hotel at a good location for shopping.
No safe in the room to store things like passport or laptop. Have to leave the key at reception when you leave, and pick it up when you come back.
Close to shopping, but if shopping is your thing, probably should pay for a better hotel so that there's a place to store all the things you bought?
But for the price comparing to other hotels in the neighbourhood, it's decent.
- Verified traveler (8/5): great location, helpful staff - super convenient, just cross the road to major gare Saint Lazare
great restaurants around
very helpful staff. when I already checked out the hotel and come back 3 days later to ask for help on airport shuttle, they still willing to provide airport shuttle that is 1/4 price of Uber, highly recommended
need to walk up 1 floor to lift, not suggested for big luggage
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good location, basic room - Really nice staff but the hotel is pretty basic. The walls are paper thin also
- Vincent (4/5): - Accueil passable
Très très bruyant
Mauvais rapport qualité prix
- Pierre-Henri (8/5): Good transit nifht - The check in slighlt long but afterward the night was great.
Great rooms and very nice breakfast area.
One of the best places to stay in the street when on a budget I would say
- Daniela (8/5): - It is a simple hotel but, it has everything you need. The room is small but how I was with just a backpack it was ok. The bathroom is good Nd the shower has a lot of hot water. You can listem what happening in the other rooms, but my neighboors were nice and quiet. The breakfast has 4 types of breas and croissants. Its very basic but for 7 euros what could I expected? The location is really good, near by the train station and at Opera Garnier. If I come back to paris, I would saty again in this hotel. It is a good cost benefit, considering the huge prices that we can see in Paris.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room was recently remodeled and fairly large for a Paris hotel. The extremely narrow elevator is on.. the 1st floor, which means climbing a narrow steep flight of stairs carrying a suitcase is not the ideal for mobility challenged visitors!. The room had a convenient open closet but no luggage stand. There was no coffee/tea in the room (only available on the 1st floor in the breakfast area). The person at the front desk was very cheerful and helpful. Continental Breakfast was very good.
- Jean Pierre (8/5): - Porte chambre difficile à ouvrir. Bonde lavabo coincée fermée.
- Daniel (10/5): Excelente localização e hotel acolhedor. - Adorei a localização do hotel. Quarto e banheiro limpos.
- Heather (6/5): central city hotel - Comfortable beds, excellent air-con in a heatwave and very good, modern shower. Shame about the large damp patch on the ceiling and the minute lift. The foyer is unwelcoming and down-at-heel, but the staff charming and helpful.
Literie confortable. Personnel jeune et souriant. Petit déjeuner RAS. Ascenseur exigu à partir du 1er étage.
- Abdellah (10/5): Very convenient, clean and great staff! - Room was decent size, refurbished, clean.
Bathroom a bit small but very convenient.
Staff is very nice and helpful.
Recommended!
- OhHell (6/5): it's all what you are used to. - I'm from the US so was not prepared for the miniature size of everything, and minimal amenities. Staff is friendly enough. The room was clean. A couple of things I didn't like was #1, they won't let you leave the building with your key. #2. The elevator is on the second floor, which they call the first floor. But the location next to a major train station was good.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Séjour médiocre - Chambre trop petites, connexion inexistante, pas d'isolation phonique
- luc (6/5): - chambre côté rue très bruyante
- Verified traveler (6/5):
- Verified traveler (4/5): Very basic hotel - The wifi was the worst I have ever used. The signal was very poor in my room and disconnected multiple times.
I was unable to sleep properly as I could hear the sound of cars on the street.
Apparently, I am the 1st person to ever ask for a cloth Iron.
The hotel needs a lot of work.
The receptionists tried their best to help.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great stay - Good location, hotel was clean and seemed recently refurbished, friendly reception staff.
- Alma (8/5): Convenient and clean - The room was clean and the location was amasing for going anywhere in paris the hosts were very nice the service was excellent overall the hotel was lovely, cosy and at a great location
- Tracy (6/5): Good hotel- perhaps take ear plugs ,though - It is obvious that the cleaners spend great care cleaning the hotel , as my room was spotless. The receptionist on the morning of my check out was helpful , assisting with my bag down the stairs - as the lift only starts on the 1st floor. The rooms are also spacious for being Parisian.
The only real negative was the walls are extremely thin. I was awoken at 1 in the morning to the sound of my neighbours first of all talking and giggling, and then having extremely noisy, passionate relations with each other - I could hear everything! hence I couldn't get back to sleep for a bit. You might want to take ear plugs :) other than that, it's a good hotel for the money.
- Amardeep (4/5): Very bad experience - There were scaffolding everywhere, very noise work was going on, couldn't sleep. Also breakfast for everyone was served outside our room, so very noisy again. We asked for change of room and got a worse one.
- Marv (8/5): Experience old Paris in a nice way - This was the third stay for us at Hotel Dieppe. The hotel has been renovated since our last stay: brightly colored hallways and rooms, new carpeting, newly renovated bathrooms. Reception very pleasant and English speaking. Location is outstanding for access to the Metro (Gare Sainte-Lazare right across the street), to a great dining area in Paris, etc. The rooms are small as one would expect from a building in old Paris, but it contributes to one's experience, a certain ambience in the City of Lights. Breakfast (croissants, juice and coffee) used to be included in the room fee, but there is a charge for it now. We chose to visit one of the many local sidewalk coffee shops, each morning, instead. Room was clean, great shower, hair dryer included, good towels. Walls are quite thin as we discovered when a couple returned late at night and continued their argument next door, until we pounded on the adjoining wall. We accessed the Wi-Fi which was reliable. While this is not a 4 or 5 star hotel, it has a certain charm which compels us to return.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great Location! - Only stayed for one night as I was passing through Paris. The room wasn't bad, it was spacious enough, but the "elevator" was the smallest elevator I've ever been in! It was literally the size of a small closet. Good luck trying to fit luggage in there with you. It was in a great location right across the train station and flanked by plenty of restaurants. Overall, it's good value for the money.
- OMAR (10/5): good deal - good deal
- Melita (8/5): The breakfast was very modest, - The breakfast was very modest, but the stuff is kind and the room was clean.
- Anonymous (10/5): Particular thanks to the very - Particular thanks to the very kind staff!!!
- Anonymous (8/5): This is a good 2 star Paris hotel. - This is a good 2 star Paris hotel. Room was quite large, and clean and tidy. Location is excellent. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was simple, but you get what you pay for!
- Anonymous (2/5): the bad - very bad staff... they do not like to help... even they do not want to speak another language such the English language..
