Buen precio Check in muy tarde
- Cin (10/5): Full descanso - Vista Comida

- Leticia (7/5): Good Location - Location and Miradores The food and the room, I was expecting more comfortable rooms given the price.
- Karen (8/5): Mountain view surrounded by birds and nature! - If you want to be immersed in the cloud forest, with cool weather and views of breathtaking mountains, this is the place for you, in addition to the experience of staying in rustic cabins. There are several National Parks near the hotel, as well as other beautiful areas of the country that you can easily visit by car, as they are only about 30 to 45 minutes away. Breakfast was delicious, as was the dinner we had. We had a misunderstanding with the room we had booked through the app; it wasn't to our liking, but they offered us the best alternative as a result.
- Nicholas (10/5): A fantastic experience! With lots of hummingbirds too! - The trail in the pristine forest is great for watching and listening to birds, we did the tour and saw quetzals! Very knowledgeable and respectful guide. The staff are all friendly and helpful.
- Jacques (6/5): -
- Thomas (10/5): A nice surprise in the high mountains of Costa Rica - The view is fantastic, the meals are real good, the cabin are simple but comfortable.
The big perk: the trails and mirador around the property where you can spot wildlife.
We were able to have wifi in the lobby where there is a nice firepit to warm you up.
A very nice surprise ! The elevation is high: 2700m. Be ready to be cold , there is no heat in the bedroom ( but lots of blankets).
The shower was hot tho, which was really appreciated.
- Valérie (10/5): - L'emplacement, la propreté, l'infrastructure.

- Luka (8/5): Beautiful mountain retreat with great food near Los Quetzales National Park - We really enjoyed our stay at this place. The property is located a short drive from the main road and is a great option if you’re looking for accommodation near Los Quetzales National Park. The house itself is a charming wooden cottage with a very natural and cozy atmosphere. The surroundings are beautiful and very peaceful, and on a sunny day the mountain views are absolutely stunning. Even in the garden you can see hummingbirds and other birds flying around, which adds to the feeling of being immersed in nature.
The breakfast was excellent — actually much better than most of the included breakfasts we had during our trip through Costa Rica. The property also has an à la carte restaurant that offers dinner, and we really enjoyed the food there as well. Another highlight was the private forest trail on the property, about three kilometers long, which you can explore on your own and which makes it easy to enjoy the surrounding forest and wildlife. The cottage itself had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and hot water was available, which is especially important in this cooler mountain climate. There were two downsides we noticed during our stay. The first one was the birdwatching tour offered by the property. We were charged $35 per person for a tour on the private property, which was conducted by one of the restaurant waiters. Although we did eventually manage to see some quetzals, the tour felt very overpriced for what was offered. The guide was unfortunately not able to provide much information about the birds or other wildlife and communication was quite limited. In fact, it ended up being the weakest tour we experienced during our one-month trip in Costa Rica.
Another thing to be aware of is that the cottage has almost no thermal insulation. During our stay, even on a sunny day, temperatures in the morning dropped to around 8°C. Because the house isn’t insulated, the temperature inside was almost the same as outside, which made the morning quite cold. The property does provide good blankets, so sleeping under them is still comfortable, but when you get up in the morning it can feel quite chilly. It’s not a major problem if you’re prepared for it, but it’s definitely something guests should keep in mind when staying in this high-altitude area.
- Sophie (10/5): Emplacement incroyable - L’emplacement exceptionnel
Le service
La qualité du petit déjeuner
- ANA (8/5): -
- Jorge (7/5): - Ubicación Los baños
- Mirella (7/5): - Locatie Vocht.
- Melissa (8/5): -
- Mario (10/5): Bella experiencia - Maravilloso lugar. Muchas gracias.
- Serah (8/5): Fijn - De locatie was top.
- Renuka (7/5): Good location, superb birding - The birding trips we did were excellent. Our guides Jason, Carlos and Leonor were very knowledgeable and good at finding us owls and the Quetzals. The hot water ran for 10 seconds and then went icy cold. It is very cold in SGD so the lack of hot water to shower in was not pleasant. We did mention it to staff but it is their system so nothing can be done.
- Luciana (10/5): -
- Adrian (10/5): -
- valeria (9/5): -
- Manon B. (6/5): - Nice view from the rooms, amazing sunsets around Can be a bit cold at night (lot of fresh air coming from the doors/window). Medium restaurant quality.
- Maarten (8/5): Good option for bosque nuboso stay - It was a very pleasant stay. We loved the view from the hut (large clean windows) and the mountainous feeling. Enough blankets provided to manage the cold. Nice restaurant. Saw quetzales on the guided walk. Price for level of (un)luxury not really on par, but probably same in the area. What you see is what you get.
- Daniël (9/5): Fantastic place to spend a few days - Beautifyl setting, fantastic Hummingbird garden, friendly staff
- Villalonga (7/5): -
- Alberto (5/5): I I - La ubicacion El trato poco amable del personal I I
- Dennis (10/5): Excelente - el lugar y la vegetación
las cabinas
la comida n-a
- William (8/5): - Really great staff, beautiful trail system and stunning location. We didn't have time to sample the food due to our busy schedule, but less vegan options there than at other lodges we stayed at.
- Tiago (9/5): Fantastic experience - 1- Fantastic location with amazing surrounding nature.
2- Great tasty breakfast and meals with many options to choose from, even for vegetarians/vegans.
3- Very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating staff.
4- Nice to have a heater in the room.
5- Incredible private trails!
6- Great guide for the Quetzal tour.
7- Fantastic reception/dining area with plenty of space and fantastic views.
8- Two nice locations with well-kept hummingbird feeders. Plenty of photo opportunities.
9- The property area (all facilities and services) was bigger than we thought.
10- Quiet and relaxing location.
11- Fantastic view from the room. 1- There is hot water which is great but it didn’t stay warm for more than a few minutes in a row.
2- Temperature insulation from the windows is limited - gather some blankets and turn up the heater as needed
- Margaret (9/5): Excellent location and food - Breakfast was excellent The WiFI HUESPEDES did not extend to the top Cabinas or the far side of the Restaurant area which was very inconvenient.
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional - A lovely place to stay in the cloud forest with great views over the hill tops.
The staff & owner here went above and beyond to make our stay here fantastic.
The bird watching was great too and again the guides and owner are very knowledgeable about them. Also the food is really good.
We would definitely recommend a stay here and we will be back.
- Don (10/5): Beautiful views high in the mountains! - The staff was excellent as was the food and the views. I spotted 5 quetzals (4 male, 1 female) from the road going into the resort. Nothing to do about the property itself, but at 9000 ft elevation, it was cold at night.
- Katherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cathy (7/5): Good - The views. Lovely to have the folding chairs in the room tonsit out on the deck and enjoy the ambience. The bird tour was interesting. Our guode was knowledgeable and enthisaistic. The location was great. For our needs and visiting the national park. The door didn't lock properly. The food was mediocre. The service was not great. The woman who checked us in was great. She was very helpful. You definitely need all the provided blankets as the rooms are chilly. The rooms are ready for a refit. Having a bedside table on each side would be nice and improved lighting. The couch was very uncomfortable. We didn't get any hot water so no showers as it was 9 degrees. The heater did not do much to change the room temperature- cold toilet seat!
- Sebastian (7/5): Good - Very different guides. Carlos (we think that was his name, he also had a daughter on sight who was bird watching) was the best bird guide we have ever had! He literally talked to the birds. The other one was just silent and not helpful in pointing out birds despite us reminding him that we wanted him to do so. He also left the group for a long time to track down birds without inviting us to come along.
- Carina (9/5): Superb -
- Noelia (8/5): Nice place for a night escape from the city, the food was AMAZING, the staff was extremely nice. - Very nice property, clean, cozy. The fact that we couldn’t park close to our room because the parking lot is only for the owners. The day we arrived it was raining and we had our 1 year old baby with us.
- Dean (10/5): I love this place! - The food is good and the views are amazing! The Quetzal Tour is hit and miss. You might not see Quetzales but the forest is incredible!
- Chen (7/5): Good - Nature setting Cold after dark and the small space heater didn't work
- James (9/5): All in all we liked the room and the breakfast was excellent. Great place for finding quetzals. - The tour was right near the property. It was through a beautiful rainforest. The tour guide was excellent at locating Quetzals. The night we stayed was very cold and the space heater in the room was not warm enough to effectively warm the room.
- Juliet (5/5): Passable - The views The cabin was uncomfortable, small no room to even hang your coat. Very basic, more like a hostal
- David (9/5): We loved it. - The view is incredible. The hiking trail is a real treat. We went on the early morning quetzal walk and saw quetzales. The staff were friendly. Dinner was excellent. Expensive for us but worth it. I had gallo pinto for breakfast which wasn’t very good but my wife’s breakfast was excellent.
- Hollie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable cabins with a great views in the mountains. The food in the restaurant was excellent. If you want to see Quetzal birds, this is the place; the guides grew up with them.
Be ready for cold temperatures and some rain.
- Carole (9/5): Superb -
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Great experience
- Green (9/5): Superb -
- Tracey (10/5): Wonderful mountain retreat - Adorable cabin with great views. It gets COLD at night, but the room was stocked with more cozy blankets than we needed. Staff was lovely — kind and helpful. Dinner at the property was the best we’ve had on our month in CR.
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katalin (10/5): very different from the hot coastal areas both east and west, a beautiful place for invigoration. - - dinner and breakfast were great
- unique location, 2700 m above sea level,
- hummingbirds at your doorstep and the famous quetzal in the area
- wooden houses with lots of warm blankets and an electric heater
- Jess (10/5): Fantastic stay, would definitely stay again. - We had a really nice time at Mirador de Quetzales. The cabins are so cute & cozy and there is so much birdlife all around the property (we would see hummingbirds from our bed). It's a beautiful place to relax for a while and just enjoy the views, birds and bees all around. They easily organised tours and the food was great (we are vegan and they made some meals off menu for us and all were fantastic).
- Miroslav (9/5): Superb -
- Maureen (9/5): Our stay at Hotel Mirador de Quetzales exceeded our expectations, with comfortable accommodations, friendly and helpful - Exquisite location for long range vistas of terrain and intimate encounters with fauna and flora. Our cabin was peaceful and featured picture window views of the mountains and valleys. Nothing comes to mind. We used the space heater and extra blankets to ensure we were warm during the chilly night.
- Ian (10/5): Everyone should stay here! Aaaaamazing. - This hotel is just perfect in every way, location, staff, food is amazing it just goes on and on. Everyone needs to stay here! Just make sure you stay for longer the we need. We just stopped for one night. Mistake! We should have stayed longer. The fact that we didn’t book for longer than one night.
- Maritza (5/5): Passable -
- Peter (10/5): Brilliant - woukd recommend - View, location, quetzals and food!
- Monica (8/5): Gorgeous place - Incredible natural beauty, views, mirador and trails Had trouble w hot water. Handle difficult to use.
- Lisa (9/5): Superb - We loved the views, birds, restaurant. The cabins are rustic but that’s to be expected. It is cold at this altitude but there were plenty of blankets. The access to our cabin was slick in the rain.
- Jurjen (6/5): Unique location from which we made a tour with a guide in the morning and have seen several Quertzal - The location and the breakfast was good. The heating, it was very cold in the evening.
The restaurant was not cosy at all.
- Luis (8/5): Very good -
- Sharon (9/5): Excellent food, views and cloud forest hikes! I’ll book here again!! - This is worth the drive if you enjoy nature, scenic views, hiking and delicious meals!
Fantastic chef, best food I’ve had in Costa Rica!
Chalets are rustic, simple, clean and cozy which was perfect for our time visiting this beautiful section of the cloud forest.
- Elijah (6/5): Pleasant -
- Giancarlo (10/5): We had a great time, the food was delicious and Marian was kindhearted. - It has an amazing view and the cabins are cozy.
