• STEPHEN (5/5): - Nice grounds (golf course). Spacious room. Lovely staff. Convenient location to visit family in Los Osos. The hotel restaurant was also convenient. Coffee machine in room hadn’t been cleaned (old coffee bag still inside). TV didn’t work despite staff’s attempts. Although the restaurant had a good menu, the food was fairly bland.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Would stay again - Nice clean room and big. We ended up staying here for the night listening to music and enjoying a few drinks. They have a great concert series on the greens. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

With both stays we were impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of ALL of the staff from the front desk to everyone in the restaurant as well as the golf pro shop. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and well furnished and the lighting is great in the rooms. We also really liked that we made reservations for the hot tub so that it wasn’t over crowded (it was just us) and we didn’t have to engage in awkward conversation with strangers :) We will most definitely stay at the Sea Pines again, and the food was delicious at the restaurant.

• Andrew (5/5): - Peaceful setting Very outdated building, especially in the rooms. Broken sliding glass door with sharp, rusted metal at the base of the wall. It's a hazard for kids or anyone. Plus no security bar, since anyone has access to your back door. Large stains in the room and on bedding. Needs some TLC. Feels like the owners just gave up.
• timridley (10/5): Cozy hotel and relaxing atmosphere - This is a cozy hotel on a small, 9-hole golf course. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. Every time we've stayed, our rooms have been well furnished and roomy. We've golfed on the course. It has a great view of Morro Rock and the course is very enjoyable. We've eaten breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the restaurant. The food has always been good. This site is close to the town of Los Osos. We've stayed at this resort at least 4 times and enjoyed the rooms, the golf, and the food each time.

Apparently to manage the crowds. Which is ok I guess if you know to make a reservation. But we checked in early evening and by then it was completely booked up. We left the next morning.

• Simone (4/5): Very overpriced hotel, with issues - The room had plastic shutters that did NOT block out the light at night, coming from large, bright property lighting. It was very uncomfortable! There are not curtains to help! How am I supposed to sleep when you have giant, bright lights right outside a window with no proper coverage??? This hotel advertises that they have a hot tub - and they do have one, it is spacious and could easily accommodate 10 or more people. However, upon arrival, they told us we had to reserve it in advance. I think this is terrible, to limit guest restriction to an amenity that is listed on the property - what an unpleasant surprise. Sometimes its hard to know exactly when you are able to use the tub, and I want the freedom to do so when I like - isn't that what we are paying for? Overall, the hotel is very overpriced for what you get. The room didn't have proper drinking glasses. they were disposable plastic cups. The EPITOME of cheap!

Only food downer is that they only have 1 fryer so your onion rings are a bit reminiscent of fried fish...not good. Good beer/ale selection on tap. Nice outdoor patio when the weather cooperates.

• Olga (10/5): Away from the hustle and bustle or a little paradise. - Excellent hotel. Situated in a very secluded, quiet place, surrounded by stunning nature - forest and lake. Excellent staff. We did not eat in the restaurant, unfortunately, we found out about the possibility of eating in the hotel and took everything with us. Next time we will definitely take advantage of this privilege. Unfortunately, there is only one jacuzzi on the territory, and there are many people who want to take a steam bath, and you need to book in advance, and only for 30 minutes. I would like more.

But they attended another group way faster. The difference I noticed between them and us? I noticed when I looked at the back of my hand. Never again

• TANYA (10/5): - Lovely property! Enjoyed the hot tub situation (reserved) because it was awfully nice to have it to ourselves. Only complaint was the cleanliness of the room. It’s obvious nobody has dusted the back of the tv in awhile.
• Nails (1/5): Bad - The only thing that looks pretty on the outside is the planters and the very friendly lobby staff. The rooms were dirty with dog food on the carpet, the bathroom had fungus and the tub was dirty, the carpet had dog urine stains, the decoration of the rooms was very old, a bad smell in the room and that's what I asked for. Non-smoking room and smelled like cigarettes, I paid 5 days for a cost of $1,200 and was very disappointed.
• Keli1968 (2/5): Not ok - Upon entering room I noticed a very strong moldy smell. I checked beds (which I always do) and thank goodness I did!! Bed was slept in and had lots of black hairs, was told rooms were sold out. They did have sheets changed but I was beyond uncomfortable. Room walls dirty, dingy and old. We were in a pet friendly room and we found broken glass on floor. Just unacceptable!! I asked if they would make an adjustment on my charges. Supposedly they are crediting me the resort fee of $10, really!! Upon checking my bank account I was charged the room fee, a deposit, and after my complaints and concerns they deducted another $82 from my bank account. Needless to say we live locally and will not return!! I will share my experience

• 149wandal (8/5): Fun local resort - We live in Los Osos and have been going to the golf course for golf, lunch, and music on the green. The course is enjoyable, fun to play with some challenge, great when you don't have time for 18 holes. We have had lunch often there after playing. Food is good but sometimes average. The pulled pork had some hard pieces of pork. The crispy chicken on the large salad were pre-frozen with a lot of breading. The caprese sandwich was very average. The crab cake appetizer is a great deal (3 cakes). I liked the baja fish tacos. The fish and chips (big serving), onion rings can be greasy. Friend had the salmon salad with freshly grilled fish. That looked good. Burgers are good. Items that are likely cooked up fresh on the grill are your best bets. Service is good, friendly, sense of humor. The funniest event was watching a gull eat three leftover donut sized onion rings from table leftovers. I would give the cafe 5 stars if the food quality was a bit better. But, that won't stop me from enjoying the scene and eating with friends. Save your golf fee receipt for a dollar off your beer. The golf course is a great deal with a membership (10% off proshop and restaurant, $35 a year that pays for itself) and a 10 play punch card for $15 rounds. Can't beat that. The condition of the greens has been variable in the past but in very decent shape now. The pro shop crew is very friendly.

• Fearless02701288614 (4/5): Not as expected stay - We booked the balcony with a view of the bay. The pictures of the rooms seems to be upgraded. We were so excited to stay there but when we got to our room, everything was so outdated. The extra money we paid for the balcony and view was a waste. Balcony is not private but a long walk way. We didn't feel safe, anyone can just walk right up to our room as the patio door can't be locked while using the screen door. You can't really see much of the bay as there are homes in front. TV is not upgraded but from the 80's with no Netflix, YouTube connection etc. It's basically a place to sleep, shower and on the go. It's not a place to unwind and enjoy the hotel. • Climber46727938324 (8/5): Nice course, well maintained! - Very nice, well maintained 9 hole golf course. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice of condition it was in after all the rain in the central coast. We played all the courses in the area and I would recommend this lay-out. The patio for a beverage after golf was very nice, but make sure you have your golf receipt to get your drink $1.00 off. Our waitress was not going to give us the $1.00 off (as we added up our scores for the day!) because we did not get a receipt after checking in at Pro Shop. I would go back and play Sea Pines again, but probably sit in a different patio section : )
• Renee (6/5): Mostly pleasant - The staff is super friendly and helpful The Grill was excellent - food and service Rooms are spacious The beds are the worst we have ever had. They were so high off the ground it's hard to get in the if you are short. Also the pillows were horrible. Maybe you could put a few extra ones in that are different and not all the same. Also not having a fitted sheet on the bottom doesn't work very well if you are a restless sleeper. Just some thoughts.
• 442alenal (10/5): Wonderful facility - We stayed at Sea Pines Lodge for one night in April 2024 on our way North. We absolutely loved Sea Pines - the facility, the room, the location. Our room was very clean, spacious, comfortable. The lodge is in beautiful area. We had a delicious breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Every staff member with whom we spoke was pleasant and very helpful. We also really appreciate the pet-friendly policy as that was one key reason why we stayed at Sea Pines. We hope to visit for a longer stay next year. And we don't even play golf :).

• Stucker (8/5): Management was on top of our issues and getting them corrected - Location, hot tub and patio area, size of the room and patio outside of room. Once we learned there was a shower room with towels for the hot tub area that was nice. The interior of the room was less desirable. The sink was cracked without a drain plug. Bathroom door would not stay open and the wallpaper was hanging off. The maid service was not acceptable; asked for our room to be turned and had to ask management to have her come back and vacuum, make up the bed. It would have been nice to of had robes to walk to and from hot tub. And had been let known that there was a shower room in the hot tub area.

• Lynn (4/5): Plan to go elsewhere. - Pros: The grounds are beautiful. It's convenient if you like to golf. Great location for exploring. There's lots of elbow room in the room and it's nice with a patio on the greens. If you are there during the live music sessions it's lots of fun. During the music concerts there's outdoor cooking and yummy food available. Cons: Something in closet smelled strongly like pee. Mold on shower ceiling and back of bathroom door. Fixtures and surfaces in need of replacing. TV did not work. We were there last year and that TV needed the front desk lady to enter our room for an hour to fix it. Restaurant is very loud and overwhelming. Waitress sprayed cleaning fluid near us and my husband was chocking. A very drunk obnoxious guy was in the bar/restaurant. The fish and chips were greasy and the clam chowder was not good.

• 425MarkB (8/5): Great spot in Baywood / Los Osos - Nice spot, especially if you want to use the golf facility. Avoid the bottom rooms, as no carpet makes them noisy. Clean, nice, open rooms, with upgrade options available. Balconies make for a nice wind-down spot.

• 516debra (8/5): comfy - We love staying here and having the hot tub to use, the restaurant for dining and cocktails and inviting our kids to brunch, watching sunsets on the green, walks and close by market and of course the music!
• 207anneliesea (10/5): Lovely place to be and play golf - We were on a one-month-tour around Nevada, California, and Arizona, and we spent two nights (in September 2022) at the Sea Pines Resort to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The room was spacious, staff was helpful and friendly, stay was a wonderful relaxing break in the long trip with so many places and hotels!
• Mcginnis (9/5): Just what the three of us were looking for: good food, beautiful landscape, and comfortable beds. - The meals were great and the ambiance of the resort was wonderful. We will definitely stay here again. No one picked up the trash. Even though housekeeping service was available by calling the front desk. It would have been nice to have trash emptied each day.
• ccarter26805 (8/5): interesting this visit! - We have been here several times this past year and enjoy it! This time we were kept up many times during the night with noises and rattling in the walls. On the 3rd night we found out the source being the water pipe from the ice maker being unsecured. It was unplugged and we slept quietly the 3rd night .
• Gds8333 (10/5): A local gem - Sea pines Resort has been my go to spot for around 40 yrs. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. The location is perfect. The rooms are large and comfortable. The staff is helpful and friendly. The resturant is a local favorite,with great food and service.
• Kenneth (10/5): - It was very nice, clean, comfortable, beautiful views, and convenient to many different sites on the central coast. The food at the Clubhouse was excellent!
• ebt519 (10/5): Hidden Gem - This place is fantastic! The 9 hole golf course has it's challenges and the rate of play is good. The staff will help out if you want a more challenging game at Morro Bay, but first do this nice little 9 hole. The food and staff at the grill was amazing. The variety offered at this little grill will astound you. While we were there they even had their summer/fall concert series going. How nice was that? Golf, dinner, and some music. This place has it all! Also the golf carts are equipped with computerized ranged distances, so no guess work needed.

• Traveler31858 (10/5): Perfect Family Reunion for 40+ people - Our family spans 3 generations in age of 3 months to 70 + years old. Sea Pines and the surrounding area has something for everyone. Great outdoor patio area that comfortably accommodates the whole family, and great good. We had 16 playing golf and my only suggestion on this amazing weekend is that we could do a shotgun start do that we’d all play around the same time.
• thepriceisright2017 (10/5): Beautiful Resort & Golf Course and Dog friendly - We came to Sea Pines for a mini-vacation with our little dog. The staff treated us so great. We played golf and ate at the restaurant. The grounds are kept beautifully. It was so nice that our dog was welcome to stay with us. We highly recommend Sea Pines Golf Resort.
• lodistuckin (10/5): Experience at Sea Pines Resort - Thank you for providing us with excellent accommodations to enjoy the weekend as a large group. The parking was sufficient, and the location of Los Osos was the perfect spot. The clerks at the front desk were friendly and courteous. Everyone on the staff provided a comfortable atmosphere. Someday we plan on returning again...
