Sarah (9/5): Would love to return! - Cute vintage cabin, nice woods to walk around, a short drive from downtown Asheville. Rebecca was awesome and even upgraded our cabin for free to a bigger room and further from the road! The road noise was not bad at all, and they even provide a white noise machine and ear plugs if needed. A nice bonus was doggie waste stations around the property.

Tess (10/5): Cozy and convenient mountain getaway - The view from the porch was gorgeous and I was visited foot ten by the resident cat! The cottage was a perfect size and had every amenity. The location was perfect, about a 15min drive to the hustle and bustle of downtown but you feel like you’re in the middle of the mountains.
Elizabeth (10/5): - We were greeted by the owners who were very friendly and helpful. The cottage was very cute and comfortable. The property backs up to the highway but they do a nice job at landscaping and provide a sound machine. The road noise is minimal.

The owners have lots of cottage and garden restoration going on buntings morning any way obtrusive. Location perfect. Sandwiched between US 19 and the bypass the traffic sounds are always there. But they did not cause an issue sleeping

David (10/5): - The place was clean and quaint! Plenty of space for honeymooning, bed comfy, kitchen enough for lite cooking, porch warm in the morning sun, bathroom met our needs. The place is clean, walking barefeet was comfortable. I look forward to being back to see the landscaping done, buildings finished. We slept well with interatate noise, it is close. Nothing. It was perfect for a few days ALONE. Not so much space we felt overwhelmed, enough to be cozy.

Sara (8/5): Lovely cottage for a passing through visitor to local attractions - It was conveniently located to what I was in town for. Near many food/restaurant options. Bed was comfy. Kitchen area came in very useful as I brought a lot of my own food for my 4 day stay. The property is super cute/quaint set up on a hill with lovely views. This shower stall is small and I had trouble keeping the water in the shower and ended up using my towels up quickly to keep the floor dry. The fabric curtain was very light and seemed to sway outward once the water turned on. A plastic curtain, slightly longer than the stall would greatly reduce this issue. Inside the cottage was quiet due to ac and humidifier, but outside the traffic sounds are heavy. I would say this is a great spot if you are there to visit local attractions/or work locally and rest in the evenings, but not a place if you are looking for a quiet spot to stay all day for respite.

Everything we needed was there we had the entire villa kitchen facilities towels everything and the staff was so friendly and very accommodating we had to add an extra night and there were no issues with that That we had to leave for our real home.

Jody (9/5): Pick this place over a chain any day - I like that it’s historic and it located in a good part of town. It’s out of Asheville a little bit but still wonderful. The room was clean. Everything’s nice. The houses are good. I like it. They forgot to restock the coffee pods. I have lived without coffee for 3 1/2 days. But I forgot to mention it to him so I’m not gonna bother him about it.

I was happy to find that Asheville had recovered/is recovering nicely, Biltmore was in top condition, River Arts District was flourishing, and the weekend met/exceeded all expectations.

Robin Hoban (9/5): Great place to stay in Asheville! - Great pet friendly cottages. We rented the 3br house which was roomy and well-equipped. There were a couple of minor maintenance issues (broken tiles in bathroom) and gas fireplace was difficult to light (put it on a wall switch!) but overall very good value. Owners are gems and beds were very comfy!

The owner & staff could not have been nicer. A couple of maintenance items which I'm sure will be addressed.

Domino (6/5): - Leaving this place to get to places in close proximity elsewhere. They need to define the units and each unit's noise proximity. Anything up near Interstate 26 is loud. No question about it. Be prepared. The rates should reflect the tolerance per unit. We also didn't like the unannounced work on our cabin at 815 am that included drilling on the opposite wall of where we were sleeping. Who does that? Who schedules such a thing? (Labor Day AM, mind you). The ratings we gave here are generous. World traveler of unique places and circumstances staying here so, it wasn't the worst. However, it wasn't even close to the best of the average.

Spangler (10/5): The most beautiful and homey refuge with the best staff - The Pines Cottages are so amazing! My husband, our bridal party and I stayed here for our wedding weekend and it was the perfect retreat center. Rebecca is incredible and left us a congratulations note and carved us little flower soaps. The property and cottages are stunning. It is the perfect retreat and home away from home. N/A

Robin Hoban (9/5): Love The Pines Cottages! - Great owners, staff, and comfy cottage. Excellent beds! Very nice pet friendly accommodations and surroundings. We stayed in the 3BR house. Need better instructions for gas fireplace and some power strips next to beds for easier phone charging. Better lighting (or at least brighter bulbs) would also be good. All very minor though for an otherwise great stay.

We loved our stay for multiple nights and the cabin was very rustic and incredibly cozy with a big bed! - We loved the relative quiet of the location being a quick trip to town. Woods and room to relax on the porch of the cabin. The staff was lovely and we were very happy with our wood fire and roomy cooking area in the full kitchen! We will be back soon, thank you! N/A

I was a little disappointed as I was wanting that look but they were small houses from the 40s and 50s. Needed a larger skillet to cook in and drapery was a little skimpy in the bedroom which is necessary to keep out light.

James (10/5): Great Little Get-Away Cottage - Perfect little cottage! Very clean, cozy, good location, and well-kept. The office is on the property. A lot of condensation on the walls. Could benefit from a dehumidifier in the bathroom and kitchen.

It was perfect. That we didn’t get to stay long enough next time we’re gonna spend a lot longer there. We were just there for one night.

The overall experience was just what we needed for a getaway. Everything worked perfectly for us and the only thing I will say is the cool weather caused the cottage to be cold but we had a propane heater and extra blankets!

The cabin was too close to the highway and there was a lot of road noise. Maybe planting some arborvitae would help. The screen door didn’t shut properly and it didn’t have any kind of latch so I couldn’t leave the inside door open for fear of the door getting out. It would have been nice to get fresh air in by leaving the door open. A bit expensive for the space.

The kitchen was adorable, very comfy, and the porch was where we spent most of our home time. Wi-Fi was spotty, but manageable. Charming! Allen and Karen were very nice and welcoming. Would love to return! Not much. Figuring out the tv was a challenge ( probably more about us than the gear).
Taleekqua (10/5): - Beautiful & simplistic cottage. I absolutely loved the property. I stayed in #4, that had a private fire pit and grill in the backyard adorned with string lights. I highly recommend for a cute little weekend getaway. My only con is that the wifi is kinda spotty so if you have a mobile hotspot bring it.

Jalyn (10/5): - I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The cabin has everything you could ask for and then some. I had a late check in (After midnight) and Rebecca called to make sure I knew where to go and how to get in, as well as handled payment so when I arrived all I had to do was collect my key on the way to my cabin. The area was by the highway so it was a little noisy but as someone who lives in the city, that didn’t bother me at all. Staff also included two packs of ear plugs and a sound machine, which muffled the sounds if needed and was a really thoughtful touch. I loved that there were a lot of restaurants and shops all within a 5-6 drive. They are also super close to a lot of trails and mountains if you’re into hiking. It was beyond comforting to come back and relax in such a cozy private space. The community was super quiet. I liked that there were many fire pits among the cabins. My cabin had a few spiders, including a big one in the kitchen sink, but hey, you’re in the woods so what can you expect! It was an overall 10/10 experience and I’m looking forward to booking my next trip here soon!

Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointing but avoidable - Unfortunately I asked for the cottage that had NO pets. They called me shortly before check in to ask to move to different cottage to benefit customer who was in hospital. I let them know about severe allergies and that was the only concern we had. They assured us the cottage would be cleaned / purified. The other cottage was adorable but not for those who struggle w allergies. I was affected immediately and my friend was shortly after that. We had to drive home that evening. All the plans we made for the weekend were derailed and not able to acted upon. It took a full 24 hours to recover. We were really looking forward to our weekend there; as the cottages looked cute. We wanted to help the client who just got out of the hospital but if you have any pet allergies at all —these are to be avoided.
