- VITAL__Y (8/5): для тех кто хочет жить 5 звезд за не большие деньги - Хороший отель прекрасно расположен ,но без моря ,есть хороший бассейн на прокат можно взять разные гаджеты ,сап завтрак не плохой ,но мы приехали после другого отеля и он был намного хуже очень хороший район гулять куча кафе ,ресторанов да и сам маррит устраивает практически каждый день бранч с музыкой возле моря цена качество это идеальный вариант красивый холл ...очень крутая детская зоны по гостиницы ездят гаджеты клевые доставщики в номерах пахнет канализацией .на бассейне куча ограничений какие то натянутые красные ленты все так тупо нужно обходить нету душей возле бассейна ...есть возле туалета но нужно обходить очень не удобно и не комфортно ,завтрак не разнообразный после пяти дней прям смотреть на него не можешь персонал тугой что обещают ничего не сделали даже заказали заехать с телегой забрать багаж помимо того что в нужное время он не приехал я на выходе увидел его в лифте и у него не хватило ума взять сумки и спустить ..по английски они не говорят и не понимаю все делают через переводчик электронный ,но там такая чепуха выходит нужно все перепроверять в столой нету чайных ложек .заказал автобус в аэропорт отдал 400 юаней ,а по сути даже сумки не вмещались они тупо по ДИ Ди приложению вызвали автобус я бы мог его самостоятельно за 200 юаней хотя договор было что они нас везет на большом их автобусе из отеля зикр ....персонал прям тяжелый вся машут головой и ничего не делают моря есть на картинке и рядом ,но купаться там нельзя

The hotel has a beautiful and stylish territory, and the lobby makes a great first impression. Our family suite was spacious, with amazing sea views — perfect for traveling with kids. The breakfast offered a great variety, including both European and Chinese options. We also loved the evening atmosphere with dinners on the lawn and live music. For families, the kids club is a big advantage — children will definitely enjoy it.

The breakfast is the best breakfast in Dadonghai, combining Chinese and international cuisines. Area of hotel is huge, pool have a different types of depth. Room have a great view on seashore. The bathroom includes bath. Thank you to reception team you are the best.

Питание одно из лучших за всю историю наших путешествий : европейская кухня, азиатская, отдельно русская кухня с привычными нам завтраками и вкусняшками. Номера просторные, с видом на океан. Уборка в номере ежедневно и очень тщательная. При отеле два ресторана - один удалось посетить- оценка 5! , второй не посетили. На ужин отель готовит столы и развлечения на лужайке у самого берега. Отель находится на первой береговой линии, но не имеет своего выхода к пляжу ( каменистый берег). На пляж можно прогуляться по набережной буквально 5-10 мин. Не хватает подогреваемого бассейна. Отдыхали в январе 2026 года. Вода в бассейне прохладная. Но мы все равно купались ))))
- Denise (9/5): A Fantastic Surprise in Sanya! - Our twin room was spacious & comfortable, with both a shower and a bathtub. The lighting was excellent, especially for getting ready in the morning. The beds were also much larger than expected. The breakfast spread was outstanding, offering a wide variety of high-quality options to suit different tastes- from noodles and congee to eggs, pastry, bread, and fresh fruit, to Hainan specialities. The pool was a highlight—serene, well-maintained, and with plenty of sunbeds available. The lack of air conditioning in the lobby made waiting there uncomfortable at times, especially in Sanya’s heat. Also, it would have been great if the pool area served light snacks or drinks. Having to go back to the main lobby/lounge area for food, and waiting 30-45 minutes for a simple dish like satay or a club sandwich was inconvenient, so we didn't end up eating.

Видно, что не новый, но общее впечатление положительное. Хороший интернет. Классный вид на бухту. Немного напрягало ходить каждый день до центра , но зато тихо . Выхода к пляжу у отеля нет. Нужно тоже куда-то ездить. Вроде Даже шаттл возит к пляжу, но мы не пользовались. Больше всего не понравилось отсутствие подогреваемого бассейна. В январе купаться было холодно. И номера , если они не Seaview, у нас выходили на закрытый аквапарк. Вид был не очень

- Jason (6/5): Disappointing but made the most of it - Spacious rooms, comfortable beds and well equipped bathrooms with nice, useable balconies. Large swimming pool and a great looking kids center with indoor and outdoor play area. The pool area offers free equipment like beach balks which the kids loved. Many or most things need maintenance or a closed off entirely! The wonderful looking kids play area was mostly unusable, access blocked with tape and with drop sheets everywhere indicating maintenance required. The pool had many entry and exit points blocked off, loose and jagged tiles, an old tennis next hanging in the pool at one end. Overgrown grass in planters and rubble here and there. A pile of chairs (10-15) sits behind the pool bar where a bar-tender should be. Blaring warnings play endlessly from a cheap speaker at one end of the pool - perhaps to ensure you use the other end? Lighting hangs loose of the sides of the building and some exterior ceiling panels are falling off. Plenty of visible rust. Planter boxes of weeds rather than shrubs. I took many photos but couldn’t only upload 4 here.
- HotHotfood (10/5): Fantastic location - If you're looking for a hotel with an absolutely breathtaking location, look no further than the JW Marriott Dadonghai Sanya. The sea views from my room were extraordinary! Don't be daunted by the size—this busy hotel runs like a well-oiled machine. I enjoyed the Executive Club. The staff were incredibly efficient (Selena ) and helpful with my planning, and the 5 PM happy hour was a feast! The location is perfect for water sports and exploring the many local restaurants (just note they cater heavily to the international, particularly Russian, tourist market). A word to the wise: hit breakfast before 9 AM to beat the crowds. Also, a huge shout-out to James ZHEN and Miss Sweet & Selena in the executive club & to the staff in Moto Miss Fay who went above and beyond to help me .I highly recommend this JW Marriott—just book a mid-week stay to enjoy a slightly quieter atmosphere.

- FALMUTAWAAH (8/5): Excellent Stay Thanks to Lydia’s Exceptional Service - My stay at JW Marriott Dadonghai Beach started off a bit complicated. I initially checked into a king room, but there was a problem with the air conditioning. The staff kindly moved me to another similar room, where the AC worked fine. Later, Lydia from the front desk went above and beyond — she upgraded me to a beautiful suite with an ocean view and a spacious balcony, completely turning my experience from a below-average one into an excellent stay. Even when I had an issue with my room dining order, Lydia handled it personally and made sure everything was resolved quickly and professionally. Her dedication and hospitality truly made a difference. The hotel facilities are amazing, and there was an event almost every day during my stay, which added a great vibe. I highly recommend JW Marriott Dadonghai Beach for its service, comfort, and beautiful views. One thing to note: like all hotels in the Dadonghai Beach area, there is **no direct beach access** — you’ll need to walk about 5–10 minutes to reach the beach.
- jeanfrance548 (2/5): Deeply Disappointed – A Complete Decline in Standards - We checked in on the 27th, during the typhoon. It was completely understandable that most facilities were closed at that time, so we stayed inside on the 27th and 28th. However, by the 29th we expected at least some facilities to reopen. To our surprise, both the swimming pool and the outdoor playground were still closed, with no information provided and no staff able to give any clarity about when (or if) they would reopen. What made this worse is that we later learned the outdoor playground had already been closed well before the typhoon. This was never communicated before or after our reservation, despite the fact that we traveled from Beijing specifically so our daughter could enjoy that facility. The lack of transparency is unacceptable. Even as a Titanium member, there was no recognition of status whatsoever. At check-in, nothing was explained about facilities, kids’ activities, breakfast times, gym hours, or available services. The only information we received was “your room is this way.” When I raised a complaint about the playground closure and the lack of communication, the response was “I understand, the manager will get in touch.” I provided my room number — but no one ever followed up. It felt like a way to dismiss complaints rather than address them. On top of that, the Wi-Fi quality was appalling. The speed was so slow it reminded me of China’s internet in the early 2000s. Simple websites barely loaded, making it unusable for any basic work or streaming. In the end, my family and I had to rely entirely on our 5G hotspots just to stay connected — an unacceptable situation for a hotel that claims to be a luxury property. This is a shocking decline compared to my previous visit five years ago, when I held the property in very high esteem. Now the quality of service has completely collapsed. Access to the beach is locked, bicycle rentals are unavailable with no explanation, and the overall atmosphere resembles a leftover quarantine facility from COVID-19. We had booked four nights but cut our stay short to just two because of the unacceptable service, lack of accountability, and complete disregard for guest experience. As a long-time Titanium member, I can confidently say this was one of the most disappointing stays I’ve ever had. You pay a premium expecting JW Marriott standards, but what you receive is closer to a budget Residence Inn or Aloft. Truly shameful.

- Volker (5/5): - Friendly housekeeping. At the pool you hear the whole day a loudspeaker saying in Chinese and English that children are not allowed to go into the pool without parents. That is psycho terror.
- Han_yinu (6/5): The most challenging place I have visited - Spacious, luxourious and clean rooms, with daily cleaning service; however, our room view of the ocean was only visible if the curtains were drawn completely or we went out onto the balcony. The daily breakfast has huge variety and was the most expansive I’ve ever seen. Beware, smoking is accommodated within ALL AREAS of the hotel compound, in the rooms, grounds and pool areas. One day, our corridor had strong durian smells as did the 16th floor, it is an unmistakable odour and unpleasant for those that are not fans of the fruit (which are the majority)! I advocate that this is a major turnoff for a lot of western tourists. Do not try to be in touch with this hotel prior to arrival, they do not make any effort to correspond therefore you will not know if any of your requests are received. Most staff do not speak English however they will use translation apps in attempts to help but often information is lost in translation. The pool bar was never open during our 7 day stay (why advertise as having one when you do not open it). Not all of its restaurants are open for meals in the evening and the only dining option (we could find at the hotel) was the nightly BBQ at 228 yuan per person. Best to eat out of the resort at the nearby beach bars. The is NO BEACH at the resort, Dadonghai Beach is about a 15 minutes walk away and there are 3 zones which you can enter the water at and it is quite crowded. The pool is lovely but children are allowed into ALL PARTS of the pool with paddleboards, floatable blow ups, scuba gear, etc in a very unregulated and possibly un safe way. The hotel does not cater well for western tourists and caters mainly for the local Chinese and Russians. WeChat Pay is used widely and Wise and International credit cards are not used for purchases of goods or services at the hotel. Special mention to Nadiz who was a lovely and helpful member of the restaurant staff (who also spoke excellent English). On departure, we requested concierge to call us a taxi which I think they did through a ride share app and we gave cash to the concierge member and the funds are then passed onto the driver digitally. It was a very nice, smooth, comfortable and air conditioned ride. Very reasonable and much better value than the hotels dedicated 200 yuan Mercedes Benz service. Possibly the most challenging places I've visited (and I have been to a few!). Would I return, very unlikely as there are many, many beautiful resorts in many other parts of the world that do not have the above challenges for the western tourist. I doubt very much that the hotel cares in the slightest either.
- Lsh1989 (4/5): Ageing rooms and disappointing room service - I chose this hotel mainly because I had an excellent stay in the JW Marriott in Singapore. Unfortunately the JW marriott hotel in Sanya dadong hai didn't entirely live up to my expectations. The hotel is relatively convenient, with many bars nearby and within walkable distance. It has a nice exterior and lobby but the rooms are a bit old, with scratch marks on the floor. Many thanks to Zita from JW Marriott Singapore, who contacted the hotel here in advance, enabling us to get upgraded to a seaview room, providing unobstructed views of the sea. Service was a little disappointing. I requested for coffee, and checked with the staff who brought it over whether I have to call for turndown service or if I could just let her know at that point in time what time she could come over to do the turndown. She said I could just tell her on the spot, which I did. When I came back from sightseeing at around 2100, turndown service was not done. In addition, the room cards deactivate quite frequently with the card readers in the lift unable to read our cards. Service was rather slow. When I requested for coffee and other amenities, the items took sometime to arrive so much so that I had to call room service to inform them that the coffee has yet to arrive. On the 2nd day, I called up room service to request for turndown service. I made a note requesting for additional coffee and toiletries before leaving for a stroll but these were not provided. On the whole it felt rather slipshod. There was supposed to be a dedicated airport service representative as shown on trip. But turns out the function is similar to that of a concierge where they help you book transport to the airport. Nothing really special or "personalised" here. The cost of the transport? - 200RMB. Recommend you book via didi app instead where you can easily get a transport for 35 RMB instead. Staff seemed friendly and helpful enough though. Lobby staff often took the initiative to offer their assistance while most other staff would greet customers when walking past them. Breakfast was alright, with the food being a little blend. The cooked noodles (not live station) felt a little under-cooked and hard. One of the chef at the live-cooking section checked if I had any allergies to the food on display when I was asking about them, which I appreciated. Overall, the stay in this hotel fell short of expectations, especially in terms of service. 我们是因为在新加坡的jw万豪酒店非常的满意所以才选着了在三亚大东海住这里。可惜三亚大东海的jw万豪总体来说感觉比较普通。 首先非常感谢新加坡jw万豪的员工Zita帮我们联系了三亚这里的jw万豪，让我们升级到海景房。三亚的jw万豪相当的方便。附近有很多酒吧。大堂与外部都很漂亮，当房间似乎感觉有点旧。地上有些划痕。 服务方面感觉很失望。打给服务中心要求的咖啡和一些别的用品需要等一段时间。由于时间过长我还打回给了服务中心第二次问为什么东西还没送来。送来时我问了员工要夜床服务是否当场通知她就好了还是需打给服务中心要求。员工说当场跟她说好了。那我就跟他说夜床服务的时间。2100从外头回来夜床服务根本就没做。 第二～电梯一直读不了房卡。总共去了大堂柜台三四次因为根本不能上楼。 第三-由于前天夜床服务的经验，我这次打去了服务中心要求夜床服务。出门前写了一张纸条要求多一点咖啡以及厕所用品。根本就没给。感觉做夜床服务的是不是有点不干愿还是草率？真是搞不懂。 定着酒店时携程上有提什么酒店有什么专门的机场服务？根本就像礼宾员差不多。不同的是礼宾员还能帮你做别的事情而这只是帮你定车去机场？而定一次也要200元？建议打didi好了。35元就够了。 大堂员工有几个很不错，主动走向你问你有什么需要帮助的。别的员工大部分走过也会对客人说‘你好’· 早餐还好。煮汤面的厨师看到我有一些调料不想放在面里头还会说当心我对某些食物敏感因为汤里头也加了那些调料。对此感觉非常满意。 总体说来，三亚大东房间海服务方面实在是令我相当的失望。虽然外部与大堂很美，当房间明显的旧。

The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. I slept very well — the bed was soft and the area was quiet. We were served by Kazakov, he solved all our questions and we are very grateful to him, he is a professional in his field. Overall, I’m very happy with my experience. - Askhat (5/5): Passable - Location is good Hotel didn’t provide me a suite that I booked and manager started lying that they made me upgrade but I didn’t need 2 additional beds in my 2nd room because there were only 2 persons. Also you can’t have dinner after 10 p.m. and it’s really boring hotel. But the worst thing is that staff can steal your personal belongings. In my case when I checked out from hotel I left my Louis Vuitton swimming shorts on balcony because they were wet. On the next day when I realised it I reported about loss to hotel but they started to deny that they found them. It’s inappropriate to 5 star hotel. I wouldn’t recommend to stay in this hotel

- 534dna (8/5): Great service and location - We recently stayed at the Mariott Dadonghai and overall had a good experience. The staff were very helpful and always ready to assist with any needs. Special thanks to Djasur and Nafiz, who went above and beyond by anticipating our needs in advance. The breakfasts were great, offering a wide variety of options. However, we did notice cockroaches a couple of times near the coffee and pancakes and once even in a cup which was quite unpleasant. The hotel itself is excellent, with a luxurious feel and a convenient location. Although there is no private beach, you can reach any desired spot by taxi for just 10 yuan

The views of the bay from the pool are excellent and there are plenty of sun loungers and shady places to relax. For a hotel of this type of resort there were something that just lacked attention to detail - when I checked in there was a pack of old food in the fridge. The staff at reception change my room straight and were helpful. When ordering drinks in the lounge there were lots of win offerings on the menu but not in stock, which took a while to figure out. Service was generally slow in the restaurant. Rooms don't have USB plugs so take your own.

- I (6/5): Good hotel with frustrating avoidable issues - The Premier Room Premier Sea View was only available if you went out to the balcony. I understand sea view is often in the general direction of the sea but a Premier sea view suggests something special and as the room was not cheap we were not impressed. The staff changed our room to Executive with full sea view for Rmb200 more per night but this included use of the Executive area where drinks, snacks and a simple dinner were included. We were happy with this deal. Breakfast buffet is huge but the western items by the egg station, such as bacon, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms etc were cold. Also the pancakes and waffles were stone cold unless there when being made. We thought it may just be an off day but on the 2nd day with great omelette and cold sides we mentioned this and the next day they added heat lamps over the food. It helped a little and the food was then lukewarm. The staff fussed over us each morning but as I said this really is something that affects all guests. Chinese guests would never accept anything other than fresh food. The staff ttied their best. We paid Rmb300 each for Christmas dinner but it was very disappointing. There was Turkey and Ham but no vegetables, not even potatoes. The meat was just added to the traditional evening buffet so we spent $100 to get some Turkey and Ham. Finally, the pool is great but is in shadow after lunchtime. At the end of the day this may be a Marriott but it is a Chinese hotel. Super staff let down by avoidable issues. V.Clean

Although Service was satisfactory, the room furniture has aged with Low premium experience. Further, Hotel beverage and cafe is ridiculously high with a standard sandwich at 10usd and an ice cream at 5usd. The room itself was very clean and modern with plenty of storage space for clothing, which I really appreciated. The bed was big and comfortable, the room and balcony furniture was also very nice and clean, and the big round bathtub was definitely a highlight. The hotel itself featured one moderately sized swimming pool that was not too crowded throughout the day, and offered a nice reprieve from the hot, humid weather. The hotel is not located directly on a beach, you have to walk maybe 10 minutes or so to get to the beach and 15-20 to get to a public swimming area. The hotel is near to the city which was nice for shopping, eating out, and general nighttime strolling. The breakfast buffet was very comprehensive with delicious Western and Chinese options. The omelettes and pastries were delicious. We also opted for a dinner buffet on one of the nights. There was a huge selection of foods and each table gets an individual small hot-pot with many options for ingredients and sauces. As a dessert lover, I especially liked the chocolate cake. We also spent time in the game room playing ping pong, pool, and foosball. Overall the design of the hotel, convenient location, friendliness of the staff (front desk, recreation room, housekeeping, and valet), and great food made our stay fantastic!
