We stayed in the deluxe suite which included a full kitchen with all the amenities, 2 queen sized bed, living area with a pull out bed, 2 baths, and a dining area. Very clean and spacious for my 6 member family. Will definitely come back for the summer.

The room decor and furniture are simple and not super fancy, but it is very comfortable and has everything you need for a great stay - pool, hot tub, waterfront location, free parking, deck overlooking the lake, game room, bbqs, full kitchen, etc. Plus it's in a convenient location that is quiet yet in close proximity to great restaurants, bars, bike rentals, and more. Recommend!

Also that the sofa bed was a blow up mattress that we had to blow up. Also that there is no room service! Also that they expect you to clean up the dishes before you leave. I expected a "hotel" and it was not your typical hotel. Kind of irked me a bit. But the staff was nice and the view was great.

• Sabrina (6/5): An expensive “glamping “ experience - This hotel felt much more like “glamping ” to me than being at a hotel. There was no daily cleaning service, the mattress in the pullout was a blowup mattresses, ( that was super uncomfortable) and the sheets didn’t not feel clean to me. We ended up using our blankets on top of theirs...You have to do your own dishes and take out all of your garbage upon check out. Also you can’t get towels after 5 when the desk people leave. It seems like they are really trying to save money but still charged almost $200 a night. The grounds could use some serious updates. So many spiders and spider webs all over the pool chairs and balcony chairs. The pool was great. My kids said it was pretty warm and it was definitely big! The hot tub had a green ring around the top that was a huge turn off. The location was amazing! Being on the water was very fun! Unfortunately We won’t be back. It’s too expensive for what you get in my opinion.
• jp (6/5): Not so happy ! - I guess we didn’t read the fine print. Although each room has an amazing view, right on the lake, upon walking in we were not happy. The Murphy bed and the pull out sofa bed with the air mattress were not inviting. With no air conditioning we would have needed to keep our slider open all night. Traveling with two children and leaving the door open all night to keep cool would not have been good as the 20 somethings in the room next door had their stash of pot sitting on the balcony. We saw a beautiful beach front in front of the resort in Expedia photos. I guess travelers need to check the water level each year. There was no beach. We decided to cancel our stay. We stayed for about 20 minutes. The resort was kind enough to refund our second night. For about $20 more we stayed at the Lake Tahoe Resort.

The thing that makes this place really nice is the view. The view from our hotel was absolutely stunning. The only complaint that I had was the size of the room. I had four people which is what the room was going to accommodate and the room was just too small for the four of us. I think this would be perfect for a family of four but not four adults. It was just too small for us and I could not imagine staying for more than 2 days

• viper engineer (8/5): Great room & location - I loved the room interior, the gas fireplace was a nice touch, and the fully equipped kitchen was handy. Even has a teapot. The bed comes down from wall, but it was comfy for a somewhat makeshift bed. Didn’t try the air mattress sofa bed. The lake view was nice and felt private, even with all the other rooms around us. One thing I didn’t like was the lack of transportation options to the city center. If someone can’t walk long distances and doesn’t want to worry about parking, options are slim. But that might be more of a city problem than a hotel problem. There is a walking/biking trail that goes right by the hotel all the way to the city center.

Lots of activities, pool, hot tub, pool table, cabana rec room, games, books and movies. Had a great time. Unfortunately the wifi kept cutting out and our data spiked badly preventing a 5 star review. Would definitely stay again.

• kristen (10/5): Great place to stay - Worst thing I can say is that it was a little dusty. That's really it. I'm so picky about where I stay, so trust me I can find something to complain about anywhere. The view was epic, the neighborhood was fun and alive and welcoming- we literally got invited over to another unit for drinks and conversation with some lovely guests within the first hour of arriving. The deck, 2 hot tubs, heated outdoor pool, and lake access are what made it such a great value.

Very quiet area, close to stores and restaurants. Older resort, but you can tell there have been many upgrades done. Very happy with WIFI, worked the full time I was there. TV options great for the evening. Murphy bed mattress in my one room condo was lumpy and needs to be replaced. Finally moved to the couch to get solid sleep on the final night. overall, great place and would visit or recommend again.

• Robert (10/5): Great weekend get away! - Quick trip to Lake Tahoe for the weekend. The Beachcomber Inn was a great place to stay, good location, right on the water, late self check in was awesome. I liked the key pad locks, no need to deal with keys. It was the perfect place for us to stay, I would go back in a minute.
• Travelers5 (10/5): Wonderful hotel at a great cost - fabulous view! - We stayed in the "pent house" and it was perfect for our stay. Very comfortable (clean, great beds, well equipped kitchen). View of the lake was beautiful. Staff were very nice. I couldn't say it was 100% perfect only because if the slightly dated facilities (but it was very reasonably priced!) and there were a few minor maintenance issues (i.e. The bathroom sink was very slow). However, we will stay there again and I would absolutely recommend.

• Sarah (4/5): Overpriced timeshare condo. Beware. - This Inn is not characterized correctly. This is a timeshare condo community. It is not a 3 star hotel, it is a 2 star condo. They overcharge because if you sit through the timeshare spiel you get a $50 Visa gift card. I would not have stayed here if the hotels.com listing was accurate. This place is kind of a scam. No housekeeping and towels can only be exchanged on wed and sat.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely view! - We had a very relaxing stay at the Beachcomber Inn. There was a phenomenal view, comfy bed, jacuzzi, good wifi, and a game room and steam room! I would definitely stay again!
• Minh (8/5): Nice location, decent room - The property is good for the price. Location-wise, it is fantastic! The rooms are right on the beach with a nice deck area looking over the lake, and the view was absolutely gorgeous. Our only complaint is the furnace from our room, unit J. When it is on, the metal frame was expanding by the heat and making all kind of loud crackling sounds, it was quite difficult to get a good night sleep. We had to stuff cotton balls into our ears to block out the noises. Replace the furnace or its cover!
• Greg (8/5): Nice Little Place - The Beachcomber was perfect for what we wanted. We went to see a show at the Montbleau, and this was the perfect place for our stay. Even the fold down bed was very comfortable and the coffee was good. Shower was not meant for those over 5'10", however.

• Anthony (10/5): Beachfront toes in the sand - Incredible views. Feels like you can touch the water from your room. Down the street from casinos. Hot tub and work out facilities were not new but very serviceable and sauna was an unexpected bonus and looked newer . BBQ's were located on large deck that overlooked water. Playroom had pool table, boardgames and kitchen. Lots of stairs on the property but worth it. Overall a serene location that was a superior experience to staying above a casino. While there I tried to book another weekend in the summer but the week I needed was full. A place where you will make memories and an annual family tradition.
• Maryam (10/5): Very nice hotel, close to everything! - We stayed in this hotel for two nights and it felt like home. The view of the lake snd mountains were spectacular :) Our unit had a separate living room and a full kitchen. We recommend this hotel and we will stay there next time we are in the area.
• David (6/5): Time share and no washing machine - Check in was after 4 we arrived just after five and they were shut. We were then told it was a time share and they gave us an envelope and that was it for interaction. We booked a room with a washing machine as we've been on the road for three weeks. There was no washing machine or anyone to speak to about it. The room was noisy. We had s smoke alarm alert going off only during the night. The room was fine other than very noisy from neighbour next door and upstairs. Wifi was good and so was the kitchen. Have stayed in nicer places in tahoe.

• David R. (6/5): Timeshare trappings - The unit we were assigned was very small and unlike the advertised pictures. There is no housekeeping, which is not made very clear. They have leaflets in your welcome packet as well as in your room with the statement of, "please ask the front desk for your $50 Visa giftcard as our way of saying thank you for choosing us". No other details are offered on the leaflets, but if you do go to eetrieve said gift card, you will quickly find it is false advertising as you are required to sit through a high pressure timeshare sales pitch in order to receive the Visa card. We had a late check in due to weather amd they do not have a someone at the desk at off hours, which is fine, but the gate that you have to go through is secured with a mechanical coded lock that actually froze. I had to pop it open with a pocket knife to get down to our room. The stairs leading to the units are also super treacherous, both my wife and I almost fell down them multiple times. The proximity to the lake and the view from the unit are awesome. It is close to the main town as well. I would not reccomend this "hotel" to anyone unless it was last option.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Wish I'd booked elsewhere - I had a mixed experience at the Beachcomber. The good: The view was as advertised. The room, carpeting, furnishings, etc.in Unit R were reasonably updated. If we'd stayed longer, the efficiency kitchen would have been handy. The bad: The "one queen bed" was a murphy bed which broke when my bf sat on the end of it. We ended up pulling the mattress off of the frame and sleeping on it on the floor. Hotels.com listed the check-in time as 4-9pm. We arrived at 5:30 and the office was closed. It turns out that the office is only open from 9-5 Sun-Thurs, which functionally makes check-in 4-5pm. One is supposed to arrange in advance an "after hours check in" if arriving after 5pm. It would have been nice to know this in advance, perhaps with my confirmation email. Check out time is 10am. If I had known this before I booked, I probably would have booked elsewhere. If you're not a morning person, this is not the spot for you. At check out, the (friendly) woman in the office said she didn't know how to print a receipt because they were such a small business and most people don't ask for one. She said she'd email it. Five days later, still no receipt. The shower was tiny. It was maybe 3'x3'? All in all, I could have booked a much nicer room for the same price. Maybe the view is worth it in the summer, but in the winter you can't check in until around sunset and have to leave early, so you hardly see it.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Great place to stay - Beautiful room with perfect lake view. Friendly staff. Not sure why all booking sites advertise in room "private plunge pool" when there aren't any. We had the handicap unit. Wonderful roll in shower. The only complaints are that the bathroom with the standard shower had a shower head so low you couldn't stand under it to wash your hair. Also the bedroom was hard to manuver a wheel chair in and the way the tv was mounted you had to have the door shut all the way to see the tv from bed. Someone also stole our parking spot and getting in and out of the car in the rain sucked. Not a big deal considering the great price and location. Wish we could have stayed longer!
• Abhirup (10/5): Fantastic view of Lake Tahoe - Booked it for the views and wasn't disappointed. Our suite had a bedroom, living/dining, kitchen and 2 washrooms. 2 TVs always welcome! Thy even had a good collection of DVDs you could take back to your room to watch. The best part was the terrace overlooking the lake. You also get beach access at the back. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location is fantastic in the heart of South Lake Tahoe. The only thing I wasn't Impressed with was the air mattress in the living room. It was a bit small and not very comfortable.

Our first night a random drunk man was pounding on the door yelling to let him in ,the phone in our room did not work to call the office , the room pictured on the Expedia site is not the room you get ! Every game we checked out in the game room was missing pieces ,if your looking for low budget this is the place!
