It had full size bunk beds in one room, a king bed in the other with a powder room, and I believe the sofa was a pullout. Lots of towels, everything we needed, very nice clean kitchen, I could go on. Wanda at the front desk was awesome. It was clean everywhere and very pretty with flowers, etc. Parking was plentiful and easy, short walk to the bay front. We couldn’t hear anything from the sea lions this far, and this is August 3-5. Loved it, would return!

• Brian (8/5): - I've visited the Landing at Newport several times a year for a lot of years. Pluses: The people that run the place are super nice and helpful. The units are in good shape and offer full kitchens, nice beds, nice sofa, and amenities like clothes washer, dish washer etc. They've also upgraded the wifi so that it's now actually very good. It's in a good location, with views of a little inlet with boats, sea guls, and sounds of sea lions. And its only a short walk to a touristy boardwalk area with dining, shopts, bars etc. Cons: The tv sets are ancient, with the worst tv offerings imaginable. Even worse than "basic cable". The elevator is almost always out of service, so expect to lug your luggage up flights of stairs to your room. The parking situation is confusing and becomes a problem on busy summer weekends when the place fills up. There is neither AC nor heating (aside from the gas fireplace). For most of the year that's fine, except on hot summer days and cold winter days.

Within walking distance to shops and restaurants, including the infamous sea lion docks! Our room was clean and comfortable with a kitchen that was lovely to have for take out!

If we are ever back in Newport, this will be our go to place.
• Cherise (10/5): Quiet and spacious - My husband and I wanted something quiet for a weekend away, and this was perfect! Walking distance to a bunch of little cafes and restaurants, but just far enough away to be very quiet. The room was a whole little condo/apartment and gave us the option to make breakfast in our pjs and not leave the room, or to go out and enjoy a walk or drive very close by.

It was wonderful having such accommodations while traveling with our fur baby. As there is no air conditioning, a 2nd fan would have been nice to help draw in cool air in the evenings. It didn't dawn on us to ask the staff for another fan until the office had closed.

The area has a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. the only takeaway was that our 1 bedroom unit with a king bed had a mattress that had poor support on the right side which caused back aches. It needs to be replaced.
• Carol (10/5): Classic Comfort - We enjoyed our two nights at this property. Easy access, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. Our unit had a lovely, broad view of the bridge and marina, as do most, I assume. We might have preferred two full bathrooms as it was a bit cramped for all 4 of us adults to juggle its usage, but I am still giving it 5 stars for being perfectly adequate.

• Judith (10/5): - This place was a great deal! I reserved a studio, but they upgraded us to a one bedroom for no extra cost. Very happy with our unit. Big view of bridge, marina area and boat traffic. Quiet, but not real busy at this time (April). Well supplied kitchen (but no tea); spacious including two bathrooms (one is just toilet and sink). Everything works, is generally comfortable, and looks nice. The bed is a bit odd: top mattress isn't same shape as support, maybe just needs to be turned and repositioned, but comfortable enough. Pillows too plump for me. These are minor complaints. Overall, a great place. I would be happy to stay here again, and would recommend. Location is good: easy to walk to historic bayfront area or up the steep hill for exercise to a neighborhood with a big view; easy drive to Nye Beach or elsewhere in the area. Front desk staff was courteous and helpful.
• Brian (10/5): - Landing at Newport has been my go-to getaway when I want to chill out at the Oregon Coast. They offer neat little condos that are in a convenient location, and right on a little inlet/boat dock, where you'll hear lots of sea gulls and enjoy the coastal air and breeze. The amenities are really good, full kitchen, decent bed/couch, and in recent years, they've upgraded their wireless so that it's now pretty good.
• Timothy (10/5): Great stay ! - We had a wonderful stay. The view great, overlooking a nice marina and the bay. The room was very nice and very clean. The bed was a little uncomfortable but ok. One of the nicest things about the stay was Wanda at the front desk. Very friendly women who just wanted your stay to be enjoyable. We talked about restaurants, local sights to see and some of the local beaches. She is the kind of person you just like right away. We will definitely be back.

However if you are arriving later in the evening it becomes a bit of a hassle as their front desk staff closes at 9 I got there at 9:01pm called the number on the door lady could not find the reservation. When she got on site though she was amazing. As was the the rest of the stay the only reason for the 4 star is because of the initial interaction.

Some quirks about the property I didn't like - such as limited and inconvenient parking options, elevator being so far away from our room rather than more central to the building, lower deck/ patio was closed I think and we were looking forward to utilizing it. • Charlene (8/5): - While the check-in was friendly and helpful, we did ask for no steps. However, we were placed in a unit the furthest from the elevator--and the property is LONG. We appreciated that the unit was very clean when we checked in. The bed was very comfortable and in unit 202 at least there was both a full bath and a half bath for a 1 bedroom unit. However, in the bedroom closet the fixed hangers are on the wrong side of the closet which made it very awkward to hang up and take down our clothes. There were no hangers on the more accessible side of the closet. The kitchen appliances were very good and easy to use. However, the kitchen inventory was lacking: no lids for pots, skillets or saucepans; odd numbers of various china pieces; only 4 sets of silverware [standard we were told] and non-essential stuff apparently left behind by previous users. Also a warning, the TV setup in this unit is flaky--need two remotes--one to turn on and one to turn off. Spectrum evidently provides 200 channels as listed on the channel guide, but only about 30 or so are available for use. There is no channel guide to the actual channels one can use. In addition Netflix is provided but seems to be locked to the profiles already entered so one does not seem to be able to log in to use it. Evidently the provision of TV service is up to the owner of the condo so this problem may not be experienced in other units.

Like two bathrooms, pet dishes, and a bed. It was very clean and easy to keep that way during our stay. I guess if there was something to add it would be breakfast bar with rolls, juice

We had to make a last minute scramble as we were already on the coast and only 20 miles to the north. I was SO looking forward to staying at this location. We were VERY disappointed to get the phone call!
• Verified traveler (10/5): - the only thing we didn't think about was that it is an operational bay and so we didn't take in account that there would be some noise at night but, that being said we still had a very nice visit. Thank you
• Lee (10/5): Thoroughly Satisfying 😌 Experience - We used this stop as an anniversary stay with successful Ocean salmon fishing 1/2 day on a 30foot fishing charter.The dinner of 1/3 lb. Fillets for the both of us prepared at the landings on a gas operated broiler on their patio. We than ate it in our own dining area. I almost forgot the broiled sweet corn and sauteed green beans in butter and garlic.
