Guest Reviews
- Tim (10/5): - The hotel is in a great location. The staff are super friendly. The rooms were nice. The only downside is that their prices are expensive.
- William (8/5): - Accommodations were dated but very good and clean. Very convenient to all of the east park attractions and we enjoyed the view, especially at sunrise. Male server was rude and inattentive in the restaurant - only ate one meal there because of it, but did enjoy the coffee shop.
- Terri (8/5): - St. Marys Village was the closest lodging to the east entrance to Glacier National Park. We were there for 3 nights at the end of September. The Bear Lodge room was clean and we had a 2nd floor room with a balcony that looked at the mountains. The only place open to eat was the restaurant at the lodge and they had a very limited menu.
- Janet (10/5): - Everything wad great except that we couldn’t see the creek from the bottom floor. With a price that high, i would expect a better view.
- Russell (10/5): - Great place right at the entrance to Glacier National Park!!
- Robert j (10/5): - Great place to stay if you're ever visiting Glacier national park.
- Kip (10/5): - View from 3 rd floor room balcony was great.
- Brian (6/5): - The $250 damage deposit was unreasonable. Will not consider Pursuit Properties in the future.
- Sara (8/5): - It cm was quiet, safe and serviceable.
- Marlene D (10/5): - Clean hotel, rooms are nice. Limited options in the area, but that was expected.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Close to Glacier National Park. Quiet.
- Alan (8/5): - convenient
- Susan (10/5): - Amazing view and comfortable room. Quiet and enjoyed the coffee shop and the store.
- Anand (10/5): - The room view was very nice looking at the mountain, river behind. The room was also quite nice with large room, a basin outside. The condition of carpet, shower is old - but perhaps that is because overall it is a little old property. The restaurants at the hotel are nice.
However, overall it exceeded my expectations. It is an excellent property to stay on the east side.
- SAY (2/5): - Get a 1 star old motel room at a 4 star hotel price!!! Plan your trip to stay in Columbia Falls or West Glacial, stayed at paddle ridge too - highly recommend
- Roland (10/5): - Balcony overlooked rushing stream that borders the National Park. Courteous staff. Very good food in restaurant.
- Linda (2/5): - We stayed one night in nice room at the inn and one night in the horrific “west motel” at $350 for one queen. Thin walls, musty odor, stained sheets. Shower set of smoke detector. Management took out batteries to stop blaring and never came back. Refund through Expedia was promised but not delivered!!!
- ELIZABETH M (8/5): St. Mary's - It's really great to stay in St. Mary. Glacier Park right next door, Going to the Sun starts right there. Room was nice, except there is a huge step at the door. The meal options are very limited. The dining at the Snowgoose Grill is expensive and not very good, although staff were very nice. It's a company town, almost everything is run by the same company.
- Marilyn (10/5): - Great location
Scenery from room was Great
Staff very helpful
- Verified traveler (4/5): OLD - The room itself was cute, it was clean, however the whole place is just run down, old, the shower rod in the bathroom was 80 rust, the shower curried was brown and yellow, had not been changed in god knows how long! The stairs to second floor will cave in soon. These hotel make a lot of money and put ZERO back into the property. Come on real do they need to be that creepy of owners. It really would not take a whole lot to spruce it up.
- Carol (10/5): - Nice place to stay while exploring East side of Glacier National Park. Room is older but it was clean and had what we needed. Food selections were very limited but we made out okay. Would be nice if they could add some laundry facilities
- William (10/5): - Nice clean, comfortable and large rooms. Property includes a very good restaurant, coffee shop, convenience store, grocery store, gas station, sporting goods store and an ice cream/sandwich shop. It's a bit pricey but has all the necessary amenities. The best part - it offers easy access to the different areas of Glacier NP.
- Colin (10/5): - Large room. Rocker and recliner!! And the bed and linens were like sleeping on a cloud. Best of all was opening the balcony door and sleeping to the sound of the creek below. Absolutely wonderful stay.
- Lisa (10/5): Nice Hotel - We stayed in the St. Mary's Lodge. Our Room was on the 3rd floor. Nice balcony overlooking a flowing river. Room was decent size with 2 queen beds, a reclining chair and a desk. Nice Blackout Blinds.
Lots of shopping within walking distance. Grocery store, gas, souvenirs, and 10% at all the shops (except gas) if staying at there. Right outside the East Entrance to the park. Very convenient. My only complaint would be the Blackfoot Chief declared no liquor sales anywhere on the reservation the entire time we were there.
I would still recommend. We drove to Rising Sun for a beer (10 minutes into the park)
- Verified traveler (8/5): West hotel was fair - Room was OK, not quiet, thin walls. Spotty WiFi in the main losdge.
- James (10/5): - Excellent views of the river and east Glacier
- Alexandru (8/5): - Great stay, a bit outdated but overall a great experience
- Eric (6/5): - Great location to access Glacier National Park from the east side. Walk to St Mary visitor center
- Michael (10/5): - Nice little creek in the back with view of mountains. Right next to the East entrance of Glacier.
- STEVEN (10/5): - Beautiful place. Wonderful balcony. Great ambiance.
- Cheryl (10/5): - Property was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend
- Bill (8/5): - Elevator was not working so taking luggage up the steps to the third floor was a chore. View from the room and balcony was lovely.
- tapadyuti (10/5): - Beautiful property, have a creek running behind it. With great views of glacier national park.
- Tracy (10/5): - Love
- Marsha (10/5): - Staff was amazing
- Jenna (10/5): - Beautiful large room with a great view
- Nathan (10/5): Beautiful Stay - Beautiful room (although the carpet could use some attention), in a charming building, with breathtaking surroundings and views! Wonderful gift shop and a fabulous dinner in the restaurant! Would definitely recommend to anyone and I personally can’t wait to return!
- Robert (8/5): - Its a weird place plopped in the middle of nowhere. Nice, clean room with a terrace and a river behind it. Overall happy. Dining was not great and there's nothing else around there...nothing...
- Robert (10/5): - Clean room, pretty property, breakfast
- Steve (8/5): - It does not have elevators, but have comfortable seats on balcony.
- Yanelis Bueno (10/5): - Very good!
- Larisa (8/5): - Location
- Jana (8/5): - We found the property charming and enjoyed the balcony with great view of the mountains right next to a stream. Rooms spacious and cozy with mountain feel. Situated right outside the park entrance and about 35 min drive to Many Glacier made access to Grinnell Glacier trail easy and timely before parking lot filled up.
We also loved the breakfast buffet available at the main building for $22 per adult. Best we have ever had at a hotel and worth every penny!
Our only miss were the mattresses in the room which we found to be too firm for our comfort which is why I only gave 4 stars.
- Nancy (10/5): - The view… the view !!! Amazing. Rooms are spacious and clean with a beautiful balcony overlooking the river and mountains… Absolutely incredible.
- Peggy (10/5): - Wonderful stay. Comfy bed. Clean room. Nice staff
- Garon (10/5): - This is an old property, but well taken care of and clean. While it is not modern, it is right at the eastern entrance of glacier national Park. Beautiful views from the lodge right beside St. Mary’s river in St. Mary’s Lake.
Awesome stay!
- Kelly (10/5): - Gorgeous views of Glacier from our balcony.
- DWIGHT (10/5): - Elevator was out of commission so it was quite a hike to top floor but the room, balcony and view were worth every step!
- Jim (6/5): - The property was overall ok. Early in the season so the staff is getting setup.
The room was fair but the bathroom needs a definate makeover.
- kun (6/5): No elevator - No elevator
- Barry (8/5): - Room was great. Amazing view and sound from the river was fantastic. The beds were horrible. Clean, but extra firm. A step up from sleeping on the floor.
- Chun Yan (4/5): - Check in area not clear. We at hotel 10PM , can’t find the front desk
- Kym (10/5): - We loved staying at St. Mary's Village. The lodge is located right at the entrance to Glacier. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. There are not a lot of food choices this time of year on the east side of the park, but the lodge has breakfast, lunch and dinner in their restaurant, and an in-house coffee spot. The staff was the highlight of our stay. They are seasonal employees and seemed genuinely happy to be there. They were helpful, lovely to chat with, and had suggestions for places to hike and explore. We would definitely stay here again!
- Michelle (8/5): - View is great and proximity to Going to the Sun. Just pricey all around.
- David (10/5): - The east side of glacier is a great place to stay to be close to many of the best trailheads. St Mary Village did not disappoint. Worked out very well for us.
- Robert (10/5): - The view from the deck in our room was incredible and the room was clean and comfortable.
- Robyn (10/5): - Lovely room with a balcony with a gorgeous view. We were there at the end of the season, so many of the nearby restaurants were closed.
- Julie (10/5): - Perfect location, friendly staff
- Naveen (10/5): - Excellent place to stay during visit to Glacier National Park, probably 2 mins from Entrance. Staff are very friendly and nice. You have sports good shops and gas station. Overall excellent place to stay.
- Donna (4/5): - Location was the only good thing
- Stephen (6/5): - For the price the room was extremely small and they only have queen size beds.
- James (8/5): - Great location to the East entrance to Glacier National Park
- Timothy (8/5): - T
- lewis (10/5): - Very nice hotel. Rooms were very clean. Very nice gift shop. Recommend updating to Smart TV’s.
I thought the restaurant had a very limited menu for dinner and was overpriced
- Graham (8/5): - Lovely views from our room . Shower good as well. But disappointed with sleep. Cool night as heater didn't work . Staff were very nice when mentioned it. But place overpriced and no fridge or microwave would have been appreciated. Very clean as well.
- Judy (6/5): - Very high price for the few amenities in the room. Needs updating. Only a couple outlets, and one was via an extension cord from under the bed. Coffee maker looked like it hadn’t been cleaned all summer. Mini frig would have been helpful. Restaurant was good food and service, but also quite expensive.
- MARYANN (8/5): - Nice spacious room, good view of the mountains and the water.
- Stacy (8/5): - Was a comfortable convenient stop
- Jerrilyn (10/5): - Could use a microwave.
- Betty (10/5): - We stayed one night and it was nice. Quiet, clean and a great restaurant to have late dinner.
The reception was very quick in checking us in.
- Lori (10/5): Location, Location, Location - Very small room at the east entrance to Glacier National Park. Had a bench outside the door which was nice for watching the sunset. Basically, just provided a place to sleep. Coffee pot, hair dryer and onsite ice machine. Location was great. Could walk to the Glacier visitor center. Lodge, restaurant and store within walking distance.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Review of Saint Mary Village - Check in was excellent. Lobby was OK, but not as much ambience as other lodges in the park. Our room was very clean and cozy, but the step getting into our room was too high and a little hazardous. We stayed there because it was so close to the park entrance, Going to the Sun Road and to Many Glacier Lodge.
- Randy (10/5): - What a beautiful place! Really enjoyed this place.
- Robert (10/5): - I thought the price was too high from booking but after staying it was very reasonable. Highly recommend!
- Robert (8/5): - Good experience
- Alan (8/5): - Enjoyed our stay here. The West motel is dated, but was all we needed since we were in GNP all day, every day. The east side of GNP is closer to the hikes we wanted to do in Many Glacier and is not congested like the west side. Would stay here again.
- TOM (10/5): - Beautiful location. Room had a balcony with a great view of the mountains and a stream Room was large and comfortable.
- Linda (10/5): - Great stopping point for the night while exploring Glacier National Park!! Quaint, great service, phenomenal scenery!!!
- Marcia (10/5): - Wonderful stay
- Corinne (8/5): Well worth the stay - Very comfortable, restaurant and bakery were delicious. Great access to Glacier National Park.
- Leslie (10/5): - Glacier is just breathtaking. This is the largest resort on the East Side of the park. They Have a lodge, some tiny homes. And some motel like rooms which we stayed in.They seemed kinda small for the price. But then again, the price was right outside glacier national park. Everyone was lovely and everything we needed was right there.Even though it was an exaggerated touristy price.
- AnnMarie (8/5): - We stayed in a room at the motel building. The room was small but clean.
- Cheryl (8/5): - The stay was great but wish we had more breakfast options other than just the buffet or sweets from other store. Would prefer a breakfast menu over a buffet.
- Horst J (10/5): Going to the sun - The east side of the going to the sun road is quieter than the west side. The hotel has all amenities one needs. Restaurants need improvement in terms of food quality and choices. A bit too expensive though.
- Francesca (10/5): - Property is a little aged and tired but clean & comfortable
- David (6/5): - We enjoyed the location to Going To Sun Road. No food selections and overpriced food. Could use updates in the lodging
- Amy (10/5): - Beautiful room and views
- Patricia (10/5): - Beautiful mountain and river view
- Susan (8/5): - The first room that we were assigned, was not cleaned, bed not made, dirty towels, and trash not emptied. After we had checked out, my husband remembered leaving something in the room, we contacted them, and they had the item when we returned.
- Sarah (10/5): - Huge rooms, beautiful views! Clean and comfy!
- Wendy (10/5): - Perfect location. Room had a balcony with awesome views of the mountains.
- Angela (10/5): - Cute affordable little motel right outside the east entrance of Glacier
- Louise (10/5): Pleasantly surprising - Beautiful view of mountains and babbling river from room's balcony. Nicely appointed room. Convenient location to access Glacier east side - St Mary's Lake, Many Glacier or Two Medicine. Good restaurant.
- Connie (10/5): We loved it there! - We loved staying at St Mary Village. The rooms were large and we had a rippling brook behind our room. The gift store is large. The dining room menu could be a little larger however. There are small grocery stores and another gift shop and gas station on the premises. It was lovely.
- Barbara (6/5): - Property very old needs a refrib esp since you pay over $300 dollars a night. No microwaves have to walk to store to warm food. REALLY! THE VIEWS WERE OUTSTANDING. Had to make our own beds at this high price. Would not rec to anyone I know
- Marilyn (8/5): - Quick! The restaurant has great food. The views of Glacier are awesome.
- edward (6/5): Loud fans😟 - Motel style room. You may want to try main hotel. Bathroom fans very loud. When you turn yours off you can still hear vibrations at least four rooms down. The rooms are set up back to back and side to side. You are in direct contact with five other rooms . And forget it if the ac is on, lucky it was not hot in mid June.
- Maurice (10/5): - Small motel room, but was perfect for 2 people for 1 night. Room had a quaint cabin feel.
- Amy (6/5): - We liked our room just fine once in. Having a coffee pot in room and a view of the mountains was great. What was difficult was that we checked in after the front registration/store entrance was closed. We must have drove around half an hour before realizing that we need to go in the back side. Directions for late check in would have been helpful.
- Patnaree (10/5): - Staff members were very nice. View from my room was gorgeous.
