Decent breakfast buffet
Good location in the city The furniture in the room is quite worn for a hotel and needs to be replaced.
Awkward stains on bed sheets
- Rama (7/5): Good -
- Jeanmichel (8/5): good value for the money - The hotel was alright. There was a very large group of young people/workers. It took a couple of nights to get everyone quiet at the floor. Non smoking policy was not enforced on my floor. The internet is very slow, really poor. The internet for the meeting rooms was OK, different network.

- Robert (9/5): My stay very enjoyable and the entire staff was very friendly. - The staff was super friendly and helpful. Not all of the staff spoke English but translate apps we were always able to get to a solution or simply provide information. The only thing I didn't like was that they didn't have fresh juice for breakfast.
- Maas (6/5): Pleasant - The staff was very friendly. There were blood stains in the sheets and the bed smelled like smoke.
- Elsa (8/5): Good place to stay in Gorontalo - - Good location
- Friendly staff
- Breakfast was very big (buffet style)
- The room and bathroom were clean - The room smelled a bit like someone had been smoking in there but after opening the window we did not notice the smell again.
- Prasetio (9/5): Superb -
- Burrows (9/5): Very enjoyable stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Id stay there again. - Excellent variety, both western and Indonesian. If there was a kettle to make own tea or coffee it would have been nice,
.
- Catharina (5/5): Passable -
- Catharina (7/5): Good -
- Deddy (10/5): nice stay - I love the food during the breakfast, it just nice to have number of varieties. the room is small but really clean. the staffs were very helpful and friendly. I had an issue with my booking and they helped me well. great job! just the room is small, if one person is ok though.
- JoSan_id (2/5): 5D4N of poor accomodation for a diver - I've stayed here for 5D4N on 23 to 27 Nov. Overall, its unpleasant experience during my stay. My goal is that management able to do conduct some improvement based on my review here, since Amaris name still under Santika big group
First is that the water smells very bad like sewage water, and the color is brown on the toilette. I thought is only for the flush toilette water, but it is also for the shower and on the wastafel. I don't know it is the water filtration system on the hotel not working properly or all the water of this area is a brackish water. But when I visited nearest mall, they have fresh water and not smell at all. With that bad water, I was forced to brush my teeth with drinking mineral water bottle. Please fix your water’s quality
The Housekeeping team is also very un-professional here. My room is not cleaned up yet when I return back to the hotel at 3.30 pm, even I’ve already ask to the receptionist in morning when I left the hotel for my diving activities (fyi that room hanging sign “do not disturb, clean up” is not provided in my room). And it is not only happen once or twice, I remember my whole stay here that I must ask request repeatedly to clean up my room at the afternoon when back from diving. While every morning I stated clearly that I need my room to be cleaned up before 2 p.m. It was so frustrating that they can’t accommodate simple request like that. As a diver, after my diving activity I required to take a shower immediately when arrived at the hotel, cleaning up myself, my diving computer and camera must be soaked into fresh water to prevent corrosion. Then I must wait again around 20 minutes when realized that the hotel didn’t made up my room when arrived back. Geezz…
Due to pandemic situation, the hotel’s staff already informed me that restaurant is closed for breakfast, and breakfast will deliver to each room every morning. Earliest delivery can be provided at 6.00 a.m., so I ask to be delivered at 6.30 a.m. each morning to my room. And guess what, it always late to 6.50 or even 7 am, while I must leave the hotel and go for diving at 7 sharp. I must called reception repeatedly every morning to ask my breakfast not to be late, bit it came always late. And the worst of all, that on my last day stay here, it happen that restaurant is re-opening for breakfast. I didn’t get any information at all and when waited till 7.30 I called reception and they just informer me. What a shame.
i know its a budget hotel class, but those 3 complaints are very basic requirement of every accommodation; water, housekeeping and meals. If the hotel failed to provide that, what do you offers then?
To be fair also, the pros about this hotel is strategic location, and I was helped by their accounting team, I made mistake when book this hotel via online booking app. It should be 23-27 Nov, but I mistakenly booked for 22-26 Nov. They solved it well without any penalty fees, Special thanks to accounting team.
- WHYSTravel (8/5): A great place to stay in Gorontalo - I stayed 6 nights and enjoyed the excellent service. The staff were very kind and helpful. The hotel was well situated and my room was quite comfortable. The breakfast was quite varied and very different kind of foods. I enjoyed very much the Indonesian soup with a variety of ingredients that one could add. Very tasty.
- 952jayt (6/5): Example of Oligopoly - Amaris hotel Gorontalo is a good example of oligopoly. There are only a few star hotel in the vicinity. As such, the quality of service is below par. From the towel condition, cutleries that is not the same type, incomplete amenities, and some other mishaps. For the same price, one could get much better value at bigger cities. However, if "just sleeping" is your goal, then this is an okay place to sleep.
- billf457 (6/5): Very Close to the mall - The rooms were a little small but comfortable. Although I have learned to bring my own pillow, the pillows here were very good. Then my likes are mostly flat. There is a buffet style breakfast on the first floor which opens at 6AM usually around 6:20 the cook shows up at the egg bar. Nabila make a great omelet and not overdone like most.
One the elevator, the first floor is not the ground floor its 'D' ... I guess it means d-lobby.
The rooms have a very small closet and no drawers, so if you will be staying for a long period of time, maybe not practical. I like to unpack, hang things in the closet and other things inside the drawer.
For a weekend get away, acceptable hotel to stay.
- willy (4/5): Disappointing - Modern but not well maintained.
Staff also not profesional
Dirty bed linen
Old and worn bath towel
Smelly bathroom
- Verified traveler (8/5): ロケーションはいいが、部屋は値段なり。。。 - コンビニや食事処、ショッピングモールも近く、ロケーションはいいです。只、ホテルそのものは、値段の通りです。シーツ位は、きれいなものを使って欲しかった。。。。
- dedes947 (4/5): Safe choice for you; not your clothes - Pros: breakfast, bedding, room size, amenities, friendliness are on point :)
Cons: breakfast area needs more air conditioning during breakfast hours, maybe faster internet would add more value to guests, "lost" my laundry for couple of hours and the hotel said that they would not take any responsibility for losses because they appoint a vendor for laundries and guests should talk to the vendor themselves (wafiq) . Surprisingly, they told me that this was not the first case of missing laundries happened with wafiq. How come they recommend such laundry service to guests?! This is pretty much why I give a bad review.
- stuffmatters (6/5): Adequate clean, very well located, good value 3 star.... - The Amaris is relatively new with well designed and clean rooms. It’s very located near the biggest shopping centre on one of Gorontalo main streets but try and avoid a room facing the road - it’s noisy!
Breakfast features an egg station with good omelettes on offer as well as plenty of local buffet breakfast options.
It’s not a particularly exciting hotel to stay in but functional, perfectly adequate as a base to explore the area and very good value against a background where choice within Gorontalo appears fairly limited.
It has no dining options but D’Cozy (see separate review) is next door, a popular resto for locals (and serves beer).
- Q1663PZsandrad (10/5): great stay with good price - location in downtown... just cross to the shopping center...warm welcoming and good services, spending 3 night stay in this hotel, room looks good and clean, breakfast variance is much enough for this level, still can find omelette and toasted breads...easy to find lunch or dinner near by this hotel. Recommended...
- munilharsh (4/5): Poorly managed a new property in the heart of the town - It is a new building with well furnished rooms however poorly managed. Bathroom showers are broken, drains clogged. Maintenance crew highly unskilled. Wifi does not work anywhere in the hotel. Breakfast room not supervised. Requested to talk to manager. But manager never showed up at the property during our two days stay.
Do not go for this property if other options are available!!!
- Borkodavor (10/5): Very well - Great hotel in the very much city center of Gorontalo, close to the mall and main roads. English speaking stuff and wide choice of breakfast meals. We arrived at 6 am in the morning and they gave us room until next day afternoon for 1-day price.
- MyTusita (8/5): Good budget hotel - It's good budget hotel, and since amaris is one of popular hotel in Gorontalo city, try to book it a couple days before.
For breakfast you should try Gorontalo traditional dish, like milu siram or corn soup.
Located just across from mall, Gorontalo city center but unfortunately city center is far from airport (about 1,5 hours drive)
- 537muhammadm (10/5): Nice place good price and comfort - Hotel in center of city, beside gorontalo mall and a lot of bentor (public transportation) also local restaurant and coffe cafe. Friendly staff good commucation clean and cheapers than rival hotel same class
- Verified traveler (10/5): nice comfortable hotel - Nice comfortable hotel
- spiritandsoul (8/5): Nice and comfortable - At the entrance, the hotel looks simple, but once you come upstairs at the hotelrooms, using the elevator, the hotel gives a nice impression. Friendly staff at the entrance. The rooms are not very large, but are clean and comfortable. Good bathroom, tv, airco. No noice from the street. The breakfast was good, although there was not a very big choice of food.
Short distance to the big mall and ATM machines and good restaurants right next to the entrance of the hotel.
- Snorkelingman (8/5): Good hotel with good location - We stayed in this hotel for one night. The overall quality was very good. The location close to the big mall was quite convenient, as well as the close location to ATM machines. Service was good, though the English of the staff could be improved. It would also be useful to obtain some more information on things to visit in the surrounding.
- yjd2016 (6/5): Its good - How do i have to start? Mmm.... Iv been in this hotel for Twice times. I will say that everything was good. Considering that they have a comfort room. Everything was good. Their service also was good. But the weird thing was when they knocked my room at night just for offering a room service.
Over than that, i will rate this hotel as a good hotel.
N talking about the food, i will say that they have a good menu. I will not say its wow, but its not dissapointing me too.
About the location, the location is very strategic coz is in the Middle of town n near from the big mall in Gorontalo.
Thats all my review, hope can help other visitor who travel to Gorontalo.
- delonsamudra (8/5): Small but clean townhouse hotel - I spent two nights here, its actually three or four townhouse integrated as one hotel. The room is rather small, but clean with ceramic floor. No refrigator. No compliment tea or coffee also in the room, but in their small lobby you can have that complimentary at certain hours. The price is cheap when we visit there for a hotel rate. Since we went out early every morning for diving and back late in the afternoon, and we didnt spend much in the room, so no problem with the room size. Comfort bed, bedsheet is clean and new.
- 861BettyC (6/5): Clean and basic. - The hotel was clean and very simple, had a nice breakfast. The location is a convenient 5 minute walk to Gorontalo mall which has a supermarket in the basement. The staff were very courteous but service would be improved if the front desk staff were able to speak better English.
- egie_limarta (8/5): Nice Hotel at City Center - I stayed here for 1 night after going back from Togean Island. It's very nice to have a hot shower, air-conditioned room, satellite TV. Everything is so smooth and comfort. Breakfast is nice, it's tasty.
But, even the best still can improved. So this is that this hotel should improve. Your staff should be can speak English. My friend from Finland said it's quite difficult to communicate, so they called me to the lobby.
But besides that, everything is nice. I really recommend this hotel. 5 minutes to Gorontalo Mall, 5 minutes to a well known gift shop, "Pia Saronde", 45 minutes to the airport and 15 minutes to the port.
Bravo!!
- ecomsbbk (8/5): Good Hotel and Staff - We stayed for 10 days here, and it was very good,I enjoyed the room, clean, but I think Amaris has a smaller room than another budget hotel I have been stayed. But that is fine,Amaris Gorontalo was good and the staff were very friendly and helpfull. I'll recommended this hotel to my friends and family.
- 721martink (10/5): Excellent - Great hotel - stayed before and after visiting the Togeans - Nice and clean, good location and very friendly staff. Great wifi! Poor breakfast but went to the mall just across instead. Can only recommend it!
- Lautje85 (8/5): Clean & comfortable - Very good hotel, excellent indo style breakfast. Good wifi connection, clean rooms and perfect service. Nice warm shower. I would defenitely go here again! Close to the gorontalo mall, very convenient. Free drinking water. Friendly staff.
