• Michelle (10/5): I’m so thankful that I see the property because it truly has made me fall in love with syros - I absolutely love everything about this property. And I loved even more how amazing George was. When I tell you I got lost we definitely got lost. My partner is in a scooter and is not able to take the steps and not only did George give us direction. George actually came down from his house in this up and took us back up to the hotel. I have never met such an amazing person that is willing to help and go above and beyond for anything that you need. Every single time I go back to Syros I will be staying here. For anybody that is looking to stay on please as they truly will help you with everything you help with.. There’s nothing that I know about property. It was absolutely perfect.

The owner is so nice and friendly and I felt so welcomed upon my arrival. I got plenty of tips and nice history of syros. When I was checking out I thought my ferry to depart syros was delayed but the owner helped me check on some websites how to track it and saw that the ferry was actually on time. I panicked thinking I'd miss the boat so he graciously offered me a ride on the scooter with my large luggage to the port, no questions asked and I arrived just in time. I had a lovely time here and I will definitely be back. There is nothing bad to say about my stay

Excursions, beautiful beaches, gourmet restaurants, seesight visits. He even gave us a history lesson on the Syros. He was like a father to us during those unforgettable days. He is an excellent host. The hotel is new, very clean, with a beautiful view of Syros port. Our room was really quiet, cosy and very comfortable right at the heart of the Syros port. We will recommend this hotel to our friends in Quebec. We are already planning to travel back to Syros next year and stay again at Ethrion!

The keypad entry was more convenient than I thought it would be, no worries about possibly losing the keys. Very clean overall, good lighting and convenience of many electrical outlets. Could've been a bit more set up for guests, like putting out the towels nicely, also in the washroom, was a towel under the sink, appeared to be there for a leaky pipe. Also could have benefited from curtains to cover the entire window surface, as it is a lot of light came in at night. Neighborhood was lively so was expected to be a lot of ambient noise, including a techno music performance nearby (must've been because it was a long weekend)

The VEIWS from my room were amazing, with a wonderful balcony to sit have a drink or a read or just take in the view! The room was large, had everything I needed, the bed was very comfortable (great nights sleep) AC was quiet, bathroom was also large with a large powerful hot shower! The short walk downhill put you right in the middle of town! absolutely no complaints! if you don’t like steps or walking, the hill might be a problem, but it really isn’t bad and the price, views and room are worth it!

• Milton (10/5): Great Hotel for your Syros stay. - We were very pleased with our stay. Breakfast is served, not buffet, you have choices to suit every taste. Our corner room had a view of the harbor and two balconies. The bed was comfortable and staff was frindly and accommoding. Hotel was less than a ten minute walK from the ferry. We would highly recommend this hotel for you stay in Syros.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Good value for money - The service was great the room is what you pay for. I personally did not find it comfortable and I found the bathroom out dated however the view was amazing. You are paying for the view and the great service.

• Anthony (10/5): - What can I say? I usually don't do these kinds of reviews, but once in a while I make an exception. I loved this hotel, everything from the location, room, breakfast, hospitality of owner Giorgos was memorable and perfect. Only regret is that I could only stay one night. The hotel is very close to the port, but a little behind it so you feel things are at more relaxed pace. Wifi was fast and reliable, too.

• JEFF (10/5): A lovely Stay in Syros - Loved our stay with George at the Ethrion. He is very helpful with your questions and with giving you an overview of the island and town so you can make the most of your vacation. The room was very comfortable, we had a lovely balcony with a sea and city view. The room had robes and a coffee maker, so you can enjoy your first cup of coffee in the morning on the balcony. The rooms have been renovated nicely and are very comfortable and a good size. We enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it to our friends.
• Fiona (10/5): - Had a fantastic stay in this hotel, the owner George was very helpful and welcoming. He provided great information about Syros island, the best beaches, good restaurants, how the buses worked, etc. The hotel is perfectly located, less than a five-minute walk from the centre of Ermoupolis. The room was impeccably clean and the bed was extremely comfortable, the view from the balcony was also stunning. The breakfast was very tasty and well worth the six euro. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, would definitely stay again. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in Syros as it is the perfect location to explore the rest of the island.
• Robert (10/5): Steep - Sea view room was great. The owner,George, is super friendly and very helpful. The hotel's location is in a very steep neighborhood which requires a lot steep hills to climb or steps. Fortunately taxis are reasonable on Siros and the drivers are honest.Also,for older travelers such as ourselves, the hotel lacks sufficient handrails. Despite the above mentioned drawbacks, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ethrion.
• George (2/5): No parking anywhere! - We drove 4 nearly 2 hours to find parking. None could be found in the port of Hermoupoli. Stay away from Syros...if u decide 2 go good luck! How can I unload your bags from a car to search 4 a hotel that is NOT even connected to a street you can drive to?
• Helene (10/5): Beautiful room and extremely nice owner! - The owner was very nice, he offered us juice and showed us things to do and places to go around Syros on a map when we checked in. He also let us keep our luggage there after check out since our boat back to Piraeus was later in the afternoon, which was so helpful! The room was beautiful with a very comfortable bed, pretty furniture, a nice and spacious bathroom and a balcony. Would recommend for sure!
