- connie (6/5): - The hotel is beautiful, the staff was very accommodating but for the "best" hotel in Isabella and at those prices, the shower literally shuts off every 7 seconds and you have to push the button again. Stairs everywhere, no elevator, get your own water to brush teeth with. All of this should be disclosed. I'll admit that sounds bougie of me but when you pay for the best, you should be able to expect it.
- syeed (10/5): Great hotel with wonderful staff! - A great place to stay with lovely and helpful staff. During the time of the tsunami alert, the staff made time to ensure we were kept safe and provided ample fruits and drink at their ranch. It was the personal touch the hotel provided such as a complementary night as no ferries were running from Isabela and taxi service to reassure us that no ferries were running. I had booked the sea view room with lovely views of the beach and various birds perching around. In addition, marine iguanas aplenty. Great place to stay in Isabela. Highly recommended! Let’s hope you don’t face a tsunami alert!
- Akos (4/5): - We had high expectations for this hotel, as it is one of the most expensive options on the island (we paid $340 per night). Unfortunately, the experience—especially the breakfast—fell far below what one would reasonably expect at this price point. The breakfast was poorly presented, with dirty-looking baskets holding bread, cheese, and cold cuts. No vegetables were available, and the boiled eggs we requested were inedible. One morning we were told we couldn’t order a cappuccino because the machine was broken; later, we were told we could have one—but only for an extra charge. At this price level, basic items like a cappuccino should be standard, not an add-on. We understand the logistical challenges of supplying a hotel on the Galápagos, but the price should reflect that reality—not use it as an excuse. A much more affordable hotel just a few minutes away offered a similar standard, and at that price, we would’ve had reasonable expectations. But at $340/night, the value simply wasn’t there. We expressed our concerns and requested to check out early, but the manager and owner were not understanding. They only offered a refund for the breakfast. A true hospitality professional should understand that guests are paying for comfort and time. If the included breakfast is unacceptable, guests are forced to find alternatives—losing time and convenience they paid for. We believe the hotel should seriously reevaluate what it offers at this price point.
- Jeffrey (10/5): Unique and Exceptional - We loved our stay here. It is on the edge of the small town, but easily walkable to everything including a sunset bar that was awesome. I assume it was not coincidentally named Iguana Crossing, but it is literally located at a point where iguana after iguana cross the road. The views from our room and the pool were unbelievable and the wildlife that literally walks in the lobby is amazing. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

- Mary (10/5): - This is a beautiful beachfront property on the far end of town. The pool and patio are gorgeous. The staff is accommodating and welcoming. The food is very good, we loved the tuna and fish ceviche. Highly recommend!!
- DAVID (10/5): Chic hotel on west side of town - Amazing stay in this beautiful island. One of the best in all Galápagos. We arrived to Isabela via boat. We decided to walk from the port instead of taking a taxi. Is a long walk, so if you have heavy luggage I wouldn’t recommend it. Rooms were comfortable, modern and some have spectacular views of the ocean. The shower though, had this plunger thingy mounted on the wall which you have to press repeatedly every 10 seconds or so otherwise the water is cut off. We stayed in 3 different islands and every hotel had a feature similar to that to preserve water. Staff was super friendly. However they mixed up my reservation and somehow they were expecting us the day before. And they were sending messages asking at what time I would be arriving at the hotel. Breakfast was simple but good. The infinity pool is nice if only a little small. There’s a great bar next to the property. Beyond that, a huge park great for hiking and wildlife watching. I recommend this property 100%

- Olesya (10/5): - The hotel is located on a very beautiful beach - the best we saw in Galapagos. Rooms are wonderful. Service is a bit slow, preorder your food and drinks in advance as it takes a lot of time to receive them.

The staff was very helpful and the grounds were beautiful and clean. We will stay there again next time we're on the island!

- Brandon (10/5): Great hotel in a magical island - This hotel is beautiful. Comfortable beds and amazing sea views. Food was good from the restaurant, just make sure to make a reservation the day before you plan on going. Location was good. Very quiet but only a few minute walk to stores and restaurants. Right next door to board walk that leads to tortoise breeding center. Pool was great to have after a hot day and sun beds were fantastic for relaxing.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not worth the price - The view from the hotel and our room was absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, this hotel is not a high end hotel and is not worth the price. There are just as nice hotels in Puerto Villamil for a lot less money that are also on the beach. The hospitality was sub-par, the front desk treated us more like an inconvenience as opposed to guests. The front desk was not always staffed, and at times you had to look around to find someone. We alerted the management to my dietary restriction but the staff looked at me each morning at breakfast like I had two heads when I requested almond milk. The room needed a deeper clean and maintenance as it had mildew in the shower, rust and the tile grout was crumbling. There were no cushions/pads on the chaise lounges on our balcony so sitting on them was incredibly uncomfortable as they are made of wood. Overall it is a nice hotel with a beautiful view but not worth the money.

It is a gorgeous hotel and the staff were all amazing! The pool overlooking the gorgeous blue water was the perfect ending to our day!

- Alon (8/5): - A beautiful hotel, great location, a good breakfast and nice rooms with 2 cons: Bear in mind that double bed is not large enough for 2 adults and 2 double beds room does not fit 4 adults (although sold as such). In addition in order to have water in shower you need to push a button every 10 seconds which makes it very uncomfortable. Overall a good and beautiful hotel, but too expensive for the value you get.

- Kevin (10/5): - Best Hotel we have stayed in since Adare Manor, the challenge of delivering an exceptional hotel experience in such a remote location must be considerable. Nothing was ever too much and the hotel is like South Beach Miami dropped into Galápagos The hotel itself is in the perfect location on the quiet beach and the start of the trials to the Turtle reserve and Wall of Tears walk where you will see giant tortoises in the wild. Above all this is a small hotel that is intimate enough to talk to other guests. This is a place where you can trust them with a key component in the trip of a lifetime, guaranteed that you will be sad to leave.
- Lisa (10/5): 5 stars! - This was an amazing hotel! Perfect location: across the street from the beach (amazing views), right at the start of the bike trail to the Wall of Tears. Nextdoor is a boatdwalk that takes you past iguanans and flamingos, right to the tortoise breeding center. The staff were wonderful. Pur driver, Family, was so kind and welcoming! The airport trabsfer is incredibly useful ... he even helped with our bags at the airport and getting us checked in. Food was great. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We cant wait ro stay here again!

- Emily (6/5): - This hotel really is beautiful and the staff is very nice. I gave it two stars because it fell short in a couple of ways. I understand that they have the bathroom fixtures to conserve water but there are other ways to encourage and even reuse water from showers, etc. The shower was akin to those at the beach, you push a button and get water for about 5 seconds and then it goes off. Same with the sink. I felt like I wasted more water trying to shower and wash my face using these fixtures. One other oddity was the floors were very sticky. We would shower before bed and the walk from the shower to the bed - somehow we ended up with super sticky feet in bed - very weird and gross. Probably just the cleaner they use. The restaurant is convenient but not that great and very overpriced. They provided no information on the local town, a map, things to do, local restaurants, shops, etc. I'm sure if we asked, we could get some info, but they weren't sharing openly.

- Irina (8/5): - The property is located right at the edge an endless, beautiful beach and the views are stunning. However, since it is the last property at the end of the strip, it gets very windy and it can be fairly loud at night, as the windows rattle. There is a hot tub on the top floor terrace, which is a greay amenity, but the water does not get very warm unfortunately. The food at the hotel restaurant is great, as are the cocktails.
- Erin (10/5): - Iguana Crossing is an absolute gem on Isabela. We visited for four nights during our Galapagos honeymoon and this property was by far our favorite stay! Right across from the beach with an abundance of iguanas, we slept with our balcony doors cracked and listened to the waves crash. The staff was accommodating and helped us to call taxis as needed. The breakfast was a delicious spread each morning. Our only complaint was that the water in the shower only runs for 8 seconds at a mild lukewarm temperature in an attempt to be more eco friendly. It was not a deal breaker, but we are used to longer/warmer showers.

Still no hot water. As for eco friendliness, they kept turning the temperature down to 17degrees when they cleaned our room. Why make it so insanely cold???? Lots of energy wasted.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Good option, but price/quality ratio could improve - This was our second visit to Isabela - we would highly recommend it. Tours to Tuneles and Tintoreras organized through the hotel and were excellent. Friendly team at reception and behind the bar. Lovely sea view from our room, although no balcony to dry swimming gear. Located on a quiet stretch of beautiful beach and within easy walking distance to the main square. WiFi was almost non-existant in the room - although worked ok in the lobby. Breakfast adequate. Dinner on the first night ok but lighting/atmosphere could be improved - anything but bright, energy saving lamps. Price was steep for what it was but we were visiting on a long weekend holiday and the hotel was full.
- Christopher (10/5): First but not last stay here - This is probably the best place to stay on Isabela island. Yes, more expensive than most but definitely worth the price. It's truly beachfront with little motor traffic during the day. The staff are really courteous and made an effort to ensure that we had a wonderful visit. Our corner suite had a gigantic wraparound balcony so we had both ocean and lagoon views - great for spying on the iguana parade every morning! The food was reasonably priced and better than most of the restaurants in town as well.
- michal (10/5): Amazing - The hotel is nicest one on isabela island, but its located at the side, so you can see from the window the flamingos and from the other side the sea, but you are less close to the center.
- MG (10/5): - Beautiful location with a beach view. Spacious clean rooms, friendly staff. Would definitely stay again! Only downfall is that we sometimes had a hard time getting a warm shower.
- Kate (10/5): - The staff at Iguana Crossing are incredibly friendly and helpful and the property is excellent. The view can’t be beat, you have breakfast on the back deck with the flamingoes and then cross the dirt road to the Beach to observe the iguanas sunning themselves. Falling asleep to the waves crashing on the rocks and fresh sea air makes for very restful sleep. The bar is nice in the evening to have a drink and watch the sunset. You can also sit outside at the pool which is very comfortable with plenty of lounges and umbrellas for protection. It is located at the far end of this quiet little town, which takes barely 15 minutes to walk from one end to the other. if I ever find myself back in Isabela, this is where I will stay.

We had a beautiful view of the ocean, volcano, iguanas crossing from the beach to the mangroves ( hence hotel name) and a lagoon with 5-8 flamingoes at any time. Room #8 was the best room on the island.

- Anna (10/5): Amazing location - Beautiful hotel right at the yellow sandy beach. Awesome, relaxing vacation spot. Rooms are big with openable windows so you can hear the ocean day and night. We did not even bother with air condition. There is a restaurant at the hotel but I would suggest to skip that. You need to order in advance, it is expensive, selection not the biggest the portions small and the taste not the greatest. Better off in the town. Everything else was excellent.

- MaDonna (10/5): Breathtaking ocean view - Staff was very attentive to our needs! Wonderful amenities, great pool, spectacular location. Close to boardwalk where incredible wildlife is steps away. You can actually watch the iguanas cross the road from the hotel. You should note that WiFi acress is sketchy on the island and not a fault of the hotel. The hotel manager, Perro, was fantastic!! I highly recommend staying here.
- Jonathan (2/5): Stay elsewhere - The hotel itself is nice enough. However, the customer service is severely lacking compared to what I experienced everywhere else in the Galapagos. Specifically, there was an English-speaking woman working the front desk that I can only describe as cold and unfriendly. She prefers not smiling and makes you feel as if you are bothering her if you ask a question, or need assistance. The manager was rarely there and the hotel has a downbeat and uninspiring vibe. Ironically, this was the most expensive hotel of my trip and I received the worst service. Would not stay again.

- Steven (8/5): Prime location but doesn't make the most of it... - Overall a nice hotel in prime position for seeing the Marine Iguanas, Giant Tortoises and Flamingos. We felt that the hotel lacked atmosphere and often felt empty despite being at 70% occupancy. The front desk were always helpful and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job and were very polite. Breakfast is served in a room at the back of the hotel and didn't make use of the bar/outdoor area which both have outstanding views of the coast and Iguanas. Unfortunately this seemed to be the only hotel on the island that didn't have a happy hour on cocktails or beers, so we never drank at the hotel bar itself although the menu seemed well stocked if a little expensive. The hotel food is excellent and comes recommended by most local guides as the place to eat if you want to have a treat. Generous portions and full of flavour/local specialities, definitely worth eating here at least one night of your stay!

- Verified traveler (10/5): Best Hotel in Isabella island - It started with very nice welcome greeting. We ask for early check in and manager let us in before noon. It was so kind of them. 3star for hotel condition is because 1st room had a water drop leak from ceiling. 2nd room had toilet malfunction and shower was cold. They couldn't fix the problems. Finally Iguana crossing offer us ocean view room. This room had water drain issue and small water leak from the ceiling above bed. We were exhausted for dealing more than 1 hour and just accept the condition. Other than that restaurant had good food with reasonal price and everyone was helpful. Owner was great and we made special thanks to him for coordinating with bad travel agent from sea moon at puerto ayora.
