Guest Reviews
- Biruk (1/5): -
- Gerald (3/5): Cheap, but not cheap enough. - Location near Hwy 395 Didn't allow pets. Smelled very musty. Old furnishings and small room appear original 1960 vintage. Very noisy air conditioner.
- Corey (7/5): -
- Tami (6/5): It was adequate for our needs. - The room was average size, had everything you'd need but wasn't as clean as I'd expect. The kitchen floor was sticky in spots, until I wiped up whatever had been spilled. The faucet in the bathtub was extremely hard to turn on, but once I got it on, there was plenty of hot water and great water pressure. The bed was super firm, my hubby didn't seem to mind but it was too firm for my liking. The AC worked well, the fridge was cold, the freezer freezing. All in all it certainly wasn't as bad as other reviews. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful and gets all 5 stars. The hotel itself, a solid 3 stars. The price was right and it was quiet. If you need a quick, last minute place to stay, you won't be sorry.
- Sandra (4/5): - Burners on stove very dirty. Bathroom dirty. Dirt in corners throughout. Ceiling flaking paint. Awful.
- KEN (10/5): - Old fashioned kind of hotel, looks pretty plain, but price was good and sheets were clean. Very nice lady checked us in. I would stay again and Dollar General on same block so very easy for picking up snacks, etc.
- Matt (10/5): Great side of the road motel - This is the perfect, old fashioned, side of the road motel and exactly what I was looking for. Yes, you can tell it’s been used but for a place to sleep on a long drive that includes a full kitchen? Can’t beat it. The service was excellent and accommodating. Would 100% stay again.
- Tessa (2/5): It was awful. I stay in hotels a lot and it was definitely the worst I’ve stayed at in many years - Nothing The broken air conditioner and comically run down room. Also the shower that did not drain at all.
- Bob (4/5): - WI-FI would not work
- Danielle (7/5): -
- Olexandr (3/5): -
- Dayton (2/5): never again, wouldn't recommend this Hotel to anyone except maybe longterm labor residents - allowed us to arrive very late... and a place to sleep for the night Rugs were dirty and worn, furniture also.... not pet friendly , way overpriced
- Nikki (2/5): - The place is really run down and dirty. Sink falling off the wall, cold water doesn't work at all, cobwebs everywhere.
- John (2/5): - Old and very dirty. Dust balls and spider webs on the ceiling above the bed. Unbelievable that staff doesn’t see this and clean it up. Holes in the kitchen flooring. White socks were black on the bottom after walking on the carpet, yuck
- Barbara (10/5): - Giant frig, stove, microwave and table. Good coffee. Very clean Good ac. this motel is an excellent Value.
- O'keith (7/5): The price was right - The size of the room and the mattress was comfortable
- Norma (4/5): - There were still garbage left in the room from previous didn’t smell the best not the cleanest
- Verified traveler (4/5): EGAD! - This was just an overnight stop on my way to somewhere else, but it was less than I'm used to or expected for nearly $100. On the site it's "inn and suites" when I pulled up the sign says, 'weekly rates' and 'kitchenettes.' The disperity between the 2 is huge! Absence of relavant details is false asvertising. Especially when the pictures mask the true quality of the property.
Mismatched, beat-up furniture, repurposed modern office furniture masquerading as bedroom furniture. Stained and marred walls, doors, flooring and bathrub. Holes at the bottom of the bathroom door (splintering). Inside main door threshhold was exposed old wood (unfinished repair??) Could not get hot (or even tepid) water from bathroom sink. Did not even try shower--uninviting. Paint and caulking would have gone a long way!
Heat worked fine, but had a lengthy, noisy start up, run and stopping sequence that repeated often.
No amenities, no perks. Kleenex was empty. TP was low quality, not useful in lieu of tissue, bo spare roll. There was a tv w/remote and landline phone.
The bed was comfortable, the bedding clean. (I don't think the pillows had pillowcases though.) There was no pervasive room odor, bad or otherwise--which was a good thing.
- Harsin (6/5): Pleasant -
- Atanas (2/5): - We moved out one hour after checking in. Sketchy place all around with suspicious people. Noisy because it’s by the road. Smells moldy and didn’t want to use the shower because it’s not clean. Door lock seems broken couple of time. We are glad we didn’t stay overnight.
- Wesley (1/5): Bad - Absolutely the worst place to stay. I would have better off sleeping in my truck.
- John (4/5): - property needs renovation badly. It is overpriced for what is offered.
- Timothy (5/5): Passable - The location was fine; the staff friendly. Cleanliness was a concern.
- jaye (2/5): - for a while unused/cleaned.. spiderwebs/bugs.. even bedding bugs.. along with lot of fungicides on the walls and corners in the room along with kitchennette/bathroom .. sink tabs.. not functioning for water dropping.. and wifi .. couldn’t even use for the night😭
- Tsukamoto (8/5): I loved my stay there! - It was great, so close to the rever, stores and restaurants. It had a kitchen and spacious.
- Coleen (2/5): Very poor - There were numerous dead flies in the toilet Also flies throughout the rooms. At first only a few- I immediately went to sleep when I arrived. In the morning there were flies in bathroom, main room and kitchen. I left immediately
I had stayed at same motel a week prior and paid high price for stay for the room - it was acceptable, but, barely. It was a quick stop between long drives. Stayed only to sleep. The next week on my return I stayed and the room (close to the one I'd been in prior week) was in even more dingy and flies. Price was $50 lower - but came with flies I won't stay there again.
- Darla (3/5): Not good - Location was good staff was nice There were flies in the toilet when I used it. Spiders in my bed . Things were broken, really need to deep clean and check things before people pay good money also no hot water..
- Christopher (1/5): never again - This was the worst, most run down, dirty place I have stayed in fifty years. This should not even be on booking\.com list.
- Anderson (10/5): Exceptional - The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly There was no shampoo or conditioner
- Mitchell (2/5): - Neat area. Check in was easy. Dirty room with bed bugs. Shower never got warm. Has noisy ac units. All the furniture had stains.
- Hewitt (1/5): Bad -
- Lowell (1/5): Hygienicly safer to chose another place to stay. - The woman at the desk was nice. Dirty room. Mouse poop and burnt out light bulbs.
- 140bridgetj (2/5): UGH - Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!!!! - Horrible, nasty, dirty, complete with mouse turds. There was hair in the tub and sink (not mine). Light fixtures didn't work. The walls, switch plates, everything was covered with greasy dirt. Nice sign on the door to be sure to use bolt - except there wasn't one. And the wireless internet didn't work, and the staff said they'd check the router and then refused to answer any further calls. ARGH!
- cindylX7551OE (10/5): Solid for price - Solid for the price can’t complain it had everything I needed nice bed friendly staff nice pillows room came with coffee pot tv stove towels everything a normal room would have I would come again I enjoyed my time in the little town can’t complain for the price.
- Amber (2/5): Horrible - The location was good The room was filthy, no toilet paper in room and couldn't get anyone to get us some
- John (1/5): Bad -
- Sergio (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sergio (10/5): Exceptional -
- George (3/5): Poor -
- Sergio (7/5): Good -
- Robin (1/5): Absolutely horrible - Nothing! The rooms we very dirty. I couldn't even see in the mirrors because they had a thick film and spots of splattered something all over them. The floor in the kitchenette was filthy. The whole room smelled musty and mildewey. There were only like 5 channels to watch on the TV that weren't infomercials. The beds were so uncomfortable that both my spouse and I could hardly sleep and our backs and necks hurt terribly bad the next morning. We were give 1 pillow each and they were super thin. It was overall a horrible experience at a hotel/motel.
- Petrone (1/5): Bad -
- Dennis (8/5): Comfortable and pleasant. - It was clean. The room was cozy.
The price was awesome.
Love the manager, very friendly. Toilet ran a bit. Knob missing on stove to regulate temp. Coffee maker lid broken…wouldn’t stay on when coffee poured.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Only if you must…crackers on the bed, hair all over, A/C barely works, switched rooms and experienced the same…
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Area was shaft and people were coming and going all night didn't feel very safe
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Room was absolutely filthy. Trash left by previous occupant, empty water bottle, bottle cap and other refuse behind cabinet between beds. Broken towel rack in bathroom. Floor was not vacuumed. Greasy smudges on walls. Missing light cover and vent cover in bathroom.
Room number 114
- Verified traveler (2/5): Do not stay here - Terrible experience
Room’s dirty, sits were stained, room smelled like wet dirty carpet, recliner was old and cracked. The room has outdated and broken pieces appliances(microwave, refrigerator, and oven). The closet’s shelve were in the floor. The bathroom was unsatisfactory, torn and stained shower curtains and rusted soap dishes. The heater/ac were loud and water was dripping from the sink faucet all night. We will never go back to this place and don’t recommend it to anybody at all.
- April (8/5): Umatilla - O.N. (s,o,a) - Room was on the ok side as far as price went.
- Dorothy (2/5): Oops in the bathroom - This was the last time I would ever stay at this motel. It has great bones. Sound structural. That is the kindest thing I can say. Go to the room dusty and Cobb webs,ok i can take a little but crap okay I mean really poop in and on the toilet. In this time of covid not something you.want to see.she gave another room.nothing to say good.
- OntheroadinOR (2/5): - It was filthy.
This is a rent by the week slum.
neighbors that seemed to be resistants.
The office person was pleasant enough, but obviously used to dealing with low lives.
- Walleyeguy (8/5): - It is great place for fishermen!!! I stay there on fishing trips all the time
- Verified traveler (2/5): - From the outside this hotel looks like a decent hotel, then you walk in and it’s completely out dated. Coffee pot was dirty, no lid, the shower was either unbelievably hot or hardly warm enough. There was no in between. The WiFi is non existent, along with the cable. The bed was from 1984 and probably the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever slept on. But none of these things holds a candle to the unprofessionalism from the owner/manager. I paid cash for my room on Monday. By Tuesday I got word our work week would be cut short due to the caronavirus, and went in to see about getting my money back for the one day. She was unwilling to help me even though she was given more enough notice according to the hotel’s policy. This place is a joke as well as the people running it.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I would not recommend this place to anyone. Very dirty place, I thought I’d save a couple bucks but I completely regret it now! Food on kitchen floor, I don’t know what on shower walls, I don’t believe it was vacuumed in the bed area, handprints on walls, looks like someone put a cigarette out on the bathroom door and that’s just some of the issues.
- Angelo (6/5): Just a good sleep! - It is just a sleep. There is nothing that they can offer. No WIFI in our room although they said that there is, but, low and poor connection.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Found a cockroach first thing. Old coffee was still in pot, not dumped or pot Not cleaned- No extra coffee left, to make ...
Air conditioner did not put out cold air until AM, when we were getting ready to leave.
- Tom (8/5): More than adequate. - This facility is an older motel, while not perfect it was fairly clean and had a kitchenette that many 2-300 dollar/night units don't provide. The mattress while old was more comfortable than some of the newer mattresses I've slept on. It is certainly no Hilton or Red Lion but I would use this facility again.
- kodyh574 (2/5): Nasty, nasty, nasty - Had to change our own sheets because of hair all over them. Pillows stained yellow and smelled bad. Blood splatter on ceiling above the bed. No dead bolt on the door, felt very unsafe. Bodily fluids stained on the bathroom door. Hair all over the bathtub and clogging the drain. Coffee pot had dried up coffee that had been there for a while. Floor not vacuumed- stepped on thorns in the room. Invalid wifi password so no internet. Feral sick cats running loose. Manager and staff were rude and disrespectful when I complained except for the night clerk who gave me sheets so I could change them myself. And the day manager called well before the 11 am check out time and said to leave since they had people waiting. Then yelled at us because we left the room at 11:02 am. Will NOT stay again and will NOT recommend staying. In case of emergency- Sleep in your car!!!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - My wife and I travel a lot. When we booked this room, it sounded like a pretty good deal. We checked in at 10:30pm. We got to our room.....we had to replace the sheets And pillow cases ourselves due to hair, pillows themselves were stained yellow and had to spray them with febreeze, blood splatter above the bed, furniture was dusty, freezer part of the icebox needed to be defrosted, cobwebs everywhere, a lot of bugs, blinds were tore up, no dead bolt for the door, didn't vacuum and stepped on thorns, NO WIFI, WiFi password was invalid, back of remote was missing so put electrical tape to hold the batteries in and didn't work half the time, channels were not clear on the TV, AC made a noise all night long, bathroom door had bodily fluid stain that had been there awhile, hair clogged the bathtub drain and hair in the tub itself, scolding hot water with no cold water, sink was not secured to the wall, toilet difficult to flush, and the coffee pot had old coffee residue in it. Guy at front desk called before check out time and rudely told us to leave. When we pointed out all of the disgusting conditions of the room, him and the other staff was extremely rude and argummentive, but the night clerk lady that gave us clean sheets was nice. Will never stay here again, and highly not recommended.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - There was blood and chicken feathers in the room. Dirty Q-Tips on the floor. We DID NOT stay and demanded a refund ! !
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A/C was noisy. Got a kitchenette we weren’t expecting.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Nothing, very run down poorly Maintained old as crap
- Verified traveler (4/5): - We checked in late, called ahead, very accommodating. Once in the room we all noticed dirty areas. Bathroom sink, tub, and mirror were very dirty. Stove wobbled. Only one coffee cup (there were four of us). Linens were dirty and stained. Pillows were flat. Mirror in main area was dirty. Chair in main area had some sort of mess dripped down the front. There was a smell liken to that of urine. WI-FI did not work in room. Will not be staying there again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was clean and check 8n was quick and easy
We satyee here on our way thru to Seattle
- larryf65208 (4/5): These pics are false!! I did not see anything close to what these images show!!! - The first room I was sent to, kitchenette, the stove was old and couldn't read the knobs, burners(electric) weren't working or slow heating. The second room, upstairs, more updated stove.
Talked to the cleaning lady, she said they only allow them to clean "so much", I had to scrub the mold and grub from tile walls and the tub its self.
Vent in bathroom needed to be dusted, the heater/AC filter light was on so I cleaned the filter out.
You pay for what you get and see, LOL!!
Other guests complained of bedbugs, I personally, didn't see any.
The host was OK but quick to make judgment on others.
- Emily (2/5): Just don't bother - Had urnin stain on my sheets, they offered me new ones but how can I trust them? They are okay with me sleeping in my truck in the parking lot though. Manager and owner both were yelling and arguing with me. Not sure who was who beacuse one woman was the manager then the man was the manager then she was the owner. No one can get their story straight. I've traveled all over the country and stayed in okay places for cheaper. Don't go here.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - noisy dirty it was an ok place but I would not recommend it
- Paul (4/5): Not so nice - Pretty run down place. The front desk lady was extremely nice and polite but the rest of the motel was not so nice. I was afraid to walk barefoot in the room.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - No wifi...not working .
Clean and pleasant staff but minimal accommodation.
O.k. If you are on the road and just need a good sleep.
- andrewF8015BY (8/5): clean and comfy - large room for the money and full kitchen furniture a little dated but everything was clean and worked. Friendly staff and I will definitely stay again. I read some other reviews but did not experience any cleanliness issues
- Virginia (8/5): meets the needs place - The price was reasonable and the location was where we wanted to be.
- Mark (8/5): - No frills hotel. Great for the price.
- no1cyclingdiva (6/5): Adequate and Clean - Spent the night on trip from Oregon to Spokane. Old property but clean. Had to go down the street to do laundry. Front desk worker was helpful. Wifi was adequate. Not greatest TV programming. Couldn't find local news station.
- Kiersten86 (2/5): Gross!! - My husband and I were road tripping to the coast and stayed here for a night on the way. The room was digusting. They didnt vacume the floor and we would not take our shoes off except to sleep. The bathtub was gross and didnt drain. I wouldnt even use it. Coffee pot had a film and the entire room smelt bad. The owners clearly dont care and we felt we were in an episode of Hotel Hell! The best part of this hotel was the bar across the street - which was awesome!
- Birddawg (2/5): Pass on Umatilla Inn - Passing through, just looking for a place to crash. Looks can be deceiving. Friendly service and close to grocery and bar across the street. That is an issue. My room was dirty, bed sheets stained, the list goes on. I would not stay here again and the place was overpriced as well.
- Eric (6/5): Met our needs - We were exhausted and decided to find a place to stay. This place was available, clean, friendly. Not a luxury or fabulous place but it met our need. And the registration clerk was very kind.
- Charlie (4/5): - Hot water in shower no cold, fixture was broken. One of us got no shower because it was only hot water,. Linens were clean. Next day attendant called handyman and we were given a different room. The office staff were willing to make things right.
- Brandy (8/5): Overall okay for the price. - This hotel had a kitchenette which was convenient. The area was quiet and comfortable. It could use some updating and needs attention to cleanliness.
- Heidi (4/5): - Pretty Shady
- John (4/5): Nasty asf stay elsewhere - The property is unfit even for cockroaches.... Will never stay there again. The manager was nice but the room was disgusting.
- keiths827 (2/5): Disgusting dirt bag motel - Looks good from the outside, but disgusting on the inside. Floor was dirty, not vacuumed and there was a white crust on the the floor next to the bed. Sperm I assume. I pulled off a wash rag from the bathroom shelf and found a chunk of hardened pink crust on it with a pubic hair stuck to the crust. I'm supposed to wash my face or body with this? The bed sheets looked very old, had multiple stains and several black shoe scuff marks on the edge. I took a damp towel and rubbed the stains to see if they would come off but they didn't, meaning they "potentially" were washed, but there was a pubic hair on the sheet at the edge of the bed. The pillow was sticking out of the pillow case and I saw a heavy yellow dried disgusting crust all over one corners of the pillow. No telling what substance it was,but resembled snot or some other bodily fluid. Carpeting and linoleum flooring was in terrible condition with stains everywhere and looked 30 years old. The heater heated well, but made lots a rattling and vibrating noises like it was falling apart ALL NIGHT LONG! It was obvious that scuz bags had spent alot of time in this hotel and the owners dont clean. Wifi very weak with one bar reception. Stay at your own risk of catching disease. Super 8 was 21 miles away. Thats where I'll go next time.
- Wendee (4/5): DIRTY - The hotel was dirty I had to sign a paper saying I wouldn't smoke in the room but when you open the room it kick you back with the stale smoke smell bathroom look like all they did was throw on the sanitizer strip on the toilet it was very dirty I had to wash the coffee pot before I could use it
- Verified traveler (8/5): - clean room, a bit too close to audible night life at first, although that quietened down. suited our needs since we were up very early to continue to our destination to watch the eclipse in Oregon.
- JP (4/5): Adequate - We stayed here as a jumping off point to get to good viewing for the solar eclipse. It was the best price we could get at the time, but overpriced for what it was.
It's an old motel and the wear shows. Everything worked, but was of low quality. For example the wall AC unit worked but was loud and the control panel was broken. Curtains were set too high so did not cover the window facing the street and the blinds were broken. However, the bed was clean and we only needed to sleep there, so it served our purpose.
- L. (8/5): - Arrived late, left early, en route to a destination some distance away.
- Corinda (6/5): Unclean room - It was dirty
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Everything was fine, nice place for a quick stopover
- 165maryt (2/5): UNBELIEVABLY DISGUSTING - Keep looking elsewhere. How does this place stay open as far as OSHA goes is beyond me. It was so absolutely disgusting. There was not even any pretending to the tub, black mold all over the tile grout, and seriously?- Less than one roll of toilet clean that bathtub. Hair was still dried and collected at drain, scum galore around paper? Thank God we were just here for one night to get a little sleep but even that was difficult. The air in the room was musty and smelled of old perfume. I was so hoping the sheets had actually been cleaned after seeing the bathroom. And to think they felt OK taking my $77. The place apparently does not own a vacuum cleaner as well People- DO NOT even consider staying here. Something must have happened in 2016 because the 2015 reviews are totally not what I experienced.
- Abraham (8/5): Drive by - It was good to rest not the great but descent to recharge energy after a long drive
- BBushRN (6/5): Solid for the price! ! - Large bright rooms, open grounds, walkable to anything in town, good coffee shop nearby, grocery store across the street. Easy drive to the McNary Wildlife area, McNary Dam, and,my favorite, the fish ladder viewing area......
- Verified traveler (4/5): Sehr laut, direkt an der Hauptstrasse - Der Ort ist nicht attraktiv, wurde von uns nur als Zwechübernachtung gebraucht.
- GrandmaBecky (6/5): Good hotel, if looking for a view ask as they do have a beautiful view! - Stayed over the Memorial weekend. Got a room booked while driving in town as we were just looking for a place to lay our heads for the night. Hotel appeared to be a old chain bought up and re done. Non smoking room still had a lingering smell of smoke in the room. Probably a recently converted room. All was clean and quite! Two bonus' right there in my book~
- Matthys (2/5): Smells like cooking oil - The condition of the room was not good and not clean. Smelled like somebody made fish and chips in the room.
- Jess (4/5): Picture looks better. - It was a place to sleep if thats all you care about. Was older. Worn down beds and pillows. Old dingy smell to it. They were trying to paint while we were there. Hard to polish a turd.
- Sherry (8/5): Repeat customer - comfortable stay - good value - - elaborating on the service, we were traveling through and came in late at night, but I rang the buzzer and waited a good 1/2 hour for the gentleman to come to the door. However, the time I stayed there a couple of months prior, a lady was attending the front desk and was very prompt to answer during nighttime hours.
Regarding the service of the cleaning staff, top notch, more than accommodating and above average attention towards the guests - they take pride in their job.
This is not a luxury stay at a bargain price, but for some reason I enjoyed the "down home" atmosphere and also felt safe there.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Umitilla Inn. - Terrible room, dirty, bad neighborhood. Office a block away from Motel. Never again.
- ashley (6/5): - Nice quiet and private loved this place would stay again
- RoyR (6/5): Clean, big room. - I stayed here for just one night. I found the room clean, quiet and convenient. This is a basic "Route 66" style motel. No helipads or infinity pools but a reasonable place to stay for the night. No problems or complaints. There was a coffee machine and a refrigerator. I'd stay here again.
- Seetaucher (6/5): Allright for one night - We stayed there for one night on our way through.
The Motel is old but clean, the rooms have a kitchenette. The bed was ok.
In the morning the water pipe for warm water was frozen, so we got the keys for another room to take a shower.
If you just look for a place to sleep for the night, the motel is ok and the rates are cheap.
- Kadlu (6/5): Not so bad - Good place to hunker down for a night. They had a full working kitchen in the suites. The water pressure was great as well as the AC as it as hot out!! Worth what we paid for a night's stay. Furniture was pretty worn as well as the tiling in the bathroom. But everything was clean. One negative was that the bed was quite uncomfortable. Would stay again for a night.
- Jj4020jc (2/5): Don't stay here the worst motel. - The housekeeping is really rude I have seen better hospitality in a jail house. The office people I'm not sure what nationality they are but can't be any ruddier to their customers. There was only one office girl that was actually very helpful and very nice. The only thing that is good about this motel is the fact that you can actually pull right up to your room and don't have to walk a distance to your room. The housekeeping will help themselves to your stuff in the refrigerator. The housekeeper was even stating that she would not clean a microwave in the rooms.
