• Shannon (8/5): Great deal, nice staff, pretty cool location - The fresh remodel added a touch. I loved the location and being near the water was a bonus. It’s sort of like a hotel that used to be really amazing and probably got a little rundown, but then they’ve revitalized it and it feels pretty good comparative to the value. staff were very nice! That part was a 10 out of 10 not that I needed very much attention, but it was just clear that they were really putting their best foot forward. It was great for the price.

• mariannemQ8130SV (8/5): Close to downtown - Passing thru Coos Bay, stayed one night. Basically clean, but floors (all tile) were not. Bathroom was large, but sink area was small and separate from the shower and toilet area. We were on the first floor with an outside entrance. Fitness center was minimal, had 1 elliptical, 1 treadmill and some weights but a small room. Within walking distance to grocery stores, shops and restaurants.

They didn’t explain at check in housekeeping is certain days and we needed to hang a card on door! Guests loud late night and early in morning. No microwave in room.
• Sabrina (4/5): Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt nicht. - Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und optisch gut eingerichtet. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt leider gar nicht. Wir haben ein Zimmer direkt neben dem Pool erhalten und die ganze Nacht aufgrund der Geräusche der Pumpe nicht geschlafen. Darüber hinaus handelt es sich um ein Motel und nicht wie hier bei Booking angegeben um ein Hotel. 170 EUR ohne Frühstück, für ein Zimmer mit Blick auf den Fluss und dahinter gelegene Industrieanlagen ist bei den anderen Hotels, welche wir auf unserer Reise kennengelernt haben, weder nachvollziehbar, noch würden wir es mit dem Wissen von heute noch einmal buchen.

• grt_8woman (4/5): Think Motel 6 - Reviews said renovated rooms, yes they were on this old remodeled MOTEL (like MOTEL 6). Old drive right up to your motel door. First impression at front desk, old dirty standing white floor fan, yuk! Employees were nice, but you get what you pay for, avoid this MOTEL.
• Kelly (7/5): Nice facility for an overnight stay. - The rooms and lobby are clean and updated. The workout room had an assortment of functional machines. We were directed to the wrong room to start. Once we saw that we were in a parking lot view room we asked to change to a river view room since the Inn was basically empty (we could tell from the lack of cars in the parking lot). We were told no, but we pressed a bit and were able to upgrade our room. We were put in the only room that had people in the room above. It would have been easy to put us in any other room. The staff could be trained additionally in customer service.
• Erin (7/5): Okay but not great - Room was clean and comfy. Staff was meh, seemed like they were put out when we arrived and wanted to check in..we had booked for 2 nights but our plans changed. We were notified that we had to pay a $25.00 cancellation charge which was understandable and we did not have an issue but the front desk staff was yet again annoyed and unfriendly. Would not stay here again. Coffee in the lobby was awful.

• ESTELA (4/5): Look for better options. - Our room was ready when we arrived half hour before check-in. This was truly appreciated after driving for 11 hours. I liked that it was walking distance to Fred Meyers and Safeway. I appreciated the young man that promptly gave us another room when the tub/shower didn’t drain. The first room wasn’t clean and the bathtub/shower wouldn’t drain. The General manager needs an attitude adjustment or a different job. She was very rude and condescending when I checked out. I would not recommend or stay here again because of her!

• daniel (7/5): Dan in Coos Bay. - I have always liked staying at the Edgewater. And I have stayed here numerous times. I like the water side of the hotel. It's nice in the summertime, when you can open up the patio doors and watch the tide come in or go out. It's very comfy, safe and decent. The room I stay in has a couch to sit on to watch TV. I hate it when a hotel doesn't provide a chair to sit on beside the desk chair that's quite uncomfortable. Well, unfortunately, there was a glaring problem. THE STAFF. Especially, the afternoon desk clerk. If you remember Seinfeld and the soup Nazi, then this is what I felt like just checking in. I asked for just one key because it was just me staying in the room. The desk clerk firmly and unkindly told me that I would get two keys or else. "TWO KEYS FOR YOU or NO ROOM! And when I went to check out the following morning I got yelled at again. I made the mistake of not hearing what the clerk said and replied: "what". That's when I got yelled at. I'm an old guy so maybe it was my fault, I dunno. Just an added note, I found a clipped toe nail in my bedding...eecckk.

• Charles (6/5): - You had to buy breakfast snacks. You should advertise that snack food is available for purchase. There was not a microwave in the room like there used to be. The TV offered many channels but not Fox News or other conservative news. They had CNN. They used to offer Fox News. I prepaid for the room. When I went back to see if the microwave was included I saw the rates quoted were significantly lower. Bummer. $224/night was too high for a place to just sleep.
• Sean (1/5): Terrible hotel, bad customer service but fake reviews said it was good - Nothing Changed reservation through booking.com with confirmation, hotel said they never received change even when I showed documentation, had to purchase another night. It’s literally in Safeway store parking lot with transits, all over Other guest fighting for hours even though we called front desk, night staff was not helpful at all

On top of that the mattress was too old/spring too weak. It made our back hurt the next day. Both I and my husband total weight around 300 lb. but the mattress sagged down

The room was clean and fresh we could not hear the traffic outside. Middle of town. No elevator, we were on the second floor. I’m disabled and the stairs were a bit challenging.

Only three pet friendly rooms available during renovation. Rooms shouldn’t be listed at pet friendly if they can’t accommodate you.

• Edylene (2/5): I iwould not recommend this property. - Nothing This property is misleading and disappointing. First, the hotel’s name online is listed as Edgewater Inn and Suites, but the actual property name is Edgewater Inn Motel. This already felt deceptive. When we arrived, the receptionist said there was no reservation under my name, even though I showed my booking confirmation. I had to call customer service, which took a long time and caused unnecessary stress. Eventually, the receptionist found the reservation under my name, which is very close to my actual name and should have been easy to identify from the start The receptionist was not friendly or hospitable and made the situation more frustrating instead of helping. Another major issue: the listing clearly stated that breakfast was included, which was one of the main reasons we booked this place. There was no breakfast at all. This is false advertising. Overall, this stay was inconvenient, misleading, and poorly handled.
