Unfortunately, there were sometimes where the food took slightly longer (however, everything is made from scratch)

Bobo runs a tight ship and he is doing a great job. We love the breakfast and the ambience was so refreshing and peaceful. The room was fantastic with a huge comfy bed and the shower was on point with hot water available all the time, Everything was good.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, from helping to carry our bags from and to the car as well as the staff at the restaurant and helping with checkout There was a short stretch of not having water in the rooms due to a power outage, but the plumber and electrician was on site and quickly resolved it. • Mariagiovanna (7/5): Bene ma non benissimo - Si trova proprio sulla spiaggia e dispone di diverse casette, alcune sulla spiaggia, altre nel giardino retrostante. Il bar/ristorante è proprio in spiaggia, quindi molto comodo e rilassante. Ottime anche le cene a base di pesce. La colazione non è il massimo. Cornettini industriali e affettati non ottimi. A onor del vero, ci proponevano anche omelette o altro da fare al momento, ma la cucina era davvero lenta (anche 1 ora di attesa per un piatto semplice a cena). Le escursioni proposte non hanno rispettato esattamente quanto descritto. Ad esempio, il giro in quad sulle dune (al costo di 100 euro) è in realtà un giro su asfalto, perché sulle dune poi ti ci fanno salire a piedi. L'escursione a Bazaruto prevedeva 2 stop per snorkeling ma ne abbiamo fatto solo uno. Non so se ne abbia colpa l'hotel o si sono affidati a tour su cui non aveva potere.

• Dana (10/5): A Very Special Stay in Mozambique - Casacabana was a wonderful ten day stay for us (my wife and I). Bobo and the rest of the wonderful staff were amazing and like a family to us. We were in a bungalow right off the beach and enjoyed the soothing nature of the weather, beach and constant ocean tides. For breakfast and dinner we only went to the attached Casbah Restaurant as the food prepared by the kind chefs was first rate. Our housekeeping was thorough and left us with everything we needed. Everyone here was so good to us and we will always cherish the memories.

I really appreciated the way they took care of me with my guests. Visit vilankulo and enjoy The park is outside and there is no access to the hotel by car, but at all is safe.

Staff was very nice and attentive, special thanks Bobo, Vania and Tandwa. Good breakfast every morning. We actually extended our stay and would go back again. Room was excelent, pretty and confortable, and were cleaned everyday, thanks to the cleaning ladies! Restaurant is also very good but, we were there almost every night, although the prices are a tiny bit above than others. Overall atmosphere is excellent and relaxing, good if you need to be "out" of your daily life. Thanks a lot, we were very happy there :) One staff was pushing us to spend more money always and he wanted us to have food at their restaurant every night. Wifi inside our room was not working at all, and was weak in the compound.

The rooms are fantastic, with modern amenities and an excellent air conditioning system that made our stay incredibly comfortable. The lodge is beautifully maintained, and the ambiance is perfect for relaxation. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the staff. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. From the warm welcome to the attentive service throughout our stay, they made us feel at home. I highly recommend Casa Cabana for anyone visiting Vilanculos. It’s the perfect blend of comfort, excellent service, and a stunning location. We can’t wait to return! It’s genuinely hard to find any faults with Casa Cabana Beach Lodge! If I had to suggest one thing, it might be to offer a wider variety of water sport activities for guests. While this wasn’t an issue during our stay, it could be a great addition for those looking to explore even more of the beautiful Vilanculos coastline.

• Karyn (10/5): Comfy and convenient beach lodge - Casa Cabana Beach Lodge was perfect for us. Rob was very communicative, especially with the protests going on at the time of our visit, which was reassuring. Bobo met us at the airport and took good care of us during our visit. He arranged for us to do a day tour to Bazaruto, etc with Sunset Dhow Safari. We were in standard room #3 and were very happy to be in the room instead of one of the cottages. It also had a queen bed. It was more private and we had the whole garden area in front of our room. The room was spotless, was very large and tastefully decorated with local handicrafts. The bed was super comfortable with the softest sheets ever! The patio was lovely for having morning coffee and relaxing in the afternoon. All the staff were very helpful and attentive. Breakfast was very good with homemade bread and eggs to order. We also ended up eating 2 dinners there as well. The grilled fish was delicious. We also enjoyed walking into the village which was a bit long. You can also take a tuk-tuk (chopela). If walking, walk the road the entire way or the beach, with slight detour, the whole way. Do not try to cut over half-way because the “roads” on Google Maps are tiny winding foot trails. We preferred walking along the beach and swimming at the beach in front of Telvina Beach Lodge Restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Cabana and would return if in the area. Thank you! • Riaan (9/5): Superb - We had an absolute amazing time at Casa Cabana in Vilanculos for our 10 year wedding anniversary during March 2024. The team at Casa Cabana was fantastic, our room was lovely, right on the beach and also compliments to the chef! We loved exploring the town via walking and taking a tuk tuk. The Island visits were also fantastic with some very fun snorkeling. Even visiting right after the cyclone, it was great to see how everyone is assisting to clean the beach & getting everything restored, well done Vilanculos! We would definitely recommend Casa Cabana and would love to visit again in future.

• Kirsty (5/5): Definitely not worth the money, miserable staff. - The bed was comfortable and location and the seats on the beach. The staff seem miserable, when we ordered at the bar we were greeted with a ‘yes!’ Not a good morning or hello. The only staff that seem happy here was the maintenance man and the room cleaners. Be prepared to wait at least an hour for your meal. I must say that there was one young waitress who smiled and made me feel like a customer. The rooms were clean but the bathrooms are full of mould and the towels supplied are nothing but rags. The fridge in the room hadn’t been cleaned. Again I have supplied photos. It’s a strange and uncomfortable environment, I wasn’t comfortable enough to complain so we left 3 days early. We also had plumbing work upstairs being done which the owner acknowledged with a free lunch (loud banging for three days which the owner said was light tapping, I have plenty of videos) when I presented this to the bar staff they insinuated that I was trying to get a free meal, so eventually after speaking to the manager this was rectified (3rd attempt to get the complimentary meal, how embarrassing for us ). For the price you pay a little customer service wouldn’t go astray. I recommend you don’t stay here.

Despite making a booking through booking.com and being charged by "Harvey World Travel" (the properties agent), when we arrived, we were told that they had given our room away as booking.com does not charge for payment ahead of time and they do not honor booking.com reservations. We told them that we had been charged by their agent, but they said that we had not. We had to stay somewhere else and return to prove that we had been charged at which point they refused to reverse the credit card charge. The next door property told us that this happens all the time. On top of this, the reception is an office in a hut that looks like the back office of a cheap sandwich shop. The rest of the resort matches this shabbiness and is completely lacking. This is not a legitimate business. • Alexander (5/5): Great location BUT run-down, low standard, bad value-for-money - very friendly staff, great location for kite-surfing right at the kite school property is run down in every regards. rooms are not up to the standard of other hotels in the area that charge less per night.
• Ziang (6/5): Just okay; pleasant but nothing special - It was truly on the beach; nice bar / restaurant, though on the pricey side for a beach shack Would not assist as intermediaries for payments for attractions like most resorts (ie accept payment in credit card and pay the activities vendors on my behalf)

• Olutola (8/5): My stay was peaceful and nice - The rooms were sparkling clean and cleaned everyday, the sheet, the complimentary water, beverage and tea making items, I loved it all. The hotel is also situated on the beach, it was quiet and nice, I enjoyed my stay The Wi-Fi didn’t work on my first day and when it started working it didn’t cover the entire space so there were times I couldn’t connect to the internet
• Mike (8/5): comfortable, tasty tropical Mozambican goodness! - amazing location and great seafood. the tapas and cocktails are highly recommended. the accomodation is comfortable and all you need in Mozambique. I’d recommend staying here, or at the very least popping in for a drink and something to eat in the afternoon the double beds are two single beds, but otherwise it was a great stay.

• Hagira (8/5): Amazing stay - The place is comfortable and welcoming . Cleaning standards are high No parking, only access is from beach hence driving not allowed, but still a good value for money. Staff helps carrying luggage For rooms with catering options, the kitchen utensils available are very limited.

• Michal (10/5): Exceptional - A great place for a holiday, especially for people who like to relax in a place where there is no crowd. Nice local people and staff, especially Benny - the star of Vilanculo. His smile made my vacation the best in many years. Delicious breakfasts, fish and crabs for dinner overlooking the ocean are something I will miss in the middle of winter in Europe.
