- Lorene (10/5): Hamel stay - Very comfy bed. Nice size room. Parking right outside my door. Great location. N/A
- michael (10/5): We've stayed in every motel up and down the the area and this is one of the best. - Very clean with cofy beds and nice shower. The staff was extremey nice and answered all our requests promptly. It's nice when you can park right outside your door! Wish they had an ice machine.

- Elizabeth (10/5): Loved my stay here - So convenient to everything, especially my favorite coffee shop and breakfast place. But also to downtown. The bed is so comfy (as many reviews mention). Check in and check out were easy.
- Klempel (8/5): -
- Christina (8/5): -
- Stephen (9/5): Good value the room we stayed in was two bed and adjoining room with fold out couch. Very good value. - Clean The entrance on the side road is now blocked, which is unfortunate
- Karen (10/5): Staff were great! - Very comfortable room and good location.
- David (6/5): -
- Kenneth (8/5): -
- Peterson (9/5): We loved our stay and it was so nice to have a subway restaurant nearby - I like the hardwood floor. The shower is easy to use. The towels were nice. It was good to have a coffee machine. And we liked the desk. It would be good to have a curtain in the bathroom so you could open the window without people staring in. It would be nice to have a light in the shower too. The faucet in the bathroom sink sink didn’t work too well. It put out hot water, but it was hard to get cold.

- Dale (9/5): A good overnight stay - On the main drag , Siskiyou, a bit south and still walkable to downtown The rooms are renovated. Now some work on the landscaping would be nice and they could compete with the motel just to the north.
- Ronda (10/5): - Clean and comfortable and easy walk to downtown
- Amanda (10/5): - Convenience to town. Everything was updated nicely.
- K (8/5): -
- Gary (10/5): Pleasantly surprised with how comfortable and clean the room was. Will stay again! -
- Timothy (10/5): Ahmish was an Excellent Host… Rooms were so impressive Especially for the cost!! - Updated with shutters and other nice decor Zero
- Randall (8/5): -
- Dennis (7/5): - The room was so clean. Replace the mattress need
- keith (7/5): Decent - We went down the street to eat at a restaurant. The style of the building outside looks like it has been around a while.
- Peter (9/5): -
- Joshua (7/5): -
- Jane (8/5): -
- Tiffanie (8/5): - Great location and value. The room was redone and very nice. The king size bed was quality and comfortable. Only complaint was couldn’t figure out how to easily search channels and find the menu on the TV. Maybe some instructions for the TV should be in the rooms. Would stay there again!:)
- Riikka (8/5): -
- Laura (10/5): A wonderful surprise! 😍 - Such a wonderful surprise to pay so little and receive so much!! The staff waited for me to arrive 15 min past closing time, the rooms were very well appointed with everything I look for, including extra clean, a “good enough” mattress( it was firm :) and coffee at the ready. The shower was extra special and seemed brand new.
- Nunnicha (8/5): -
- Lori (8/5): I was in Ashland to help my kid move into the dorms at SOU. Ashland Motel was convenient & clean. - The hotel is a few block walk to the SOU dormitories - on same side of Siskiyou Blvd. The room was clean. The Staff were helpful. Environment was quiet. No food on site. The pool is in the middle of the parking lot.
- Anita (8/5): - The bed was great and the room was quiet.
- Ian (8/5): Solid room in a very good location.. Bed was too lumpy, making for not the best night’s rest. Staff was friendly but gav - Very good location, close to downtown. Room was very clean and appeared recently remodeled inside. Good bathroom and shower. Room and property certainly met expectations. Bed was lumpy. Check-in staff gave decent restaurant recommendation but incorrect highway directions.
- Pat (8/5): Will recommend 🤔 - Clean & spaciest 🥹
- Medlar (9/5): Nice room in safe location and fairly priced. - The room was very clean and had been well cared for. I discovered the toilet seat was broken and reported it to the office; by the time we got back from dinner it was fixed. There was plenty of parking and the surroundings were clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice. There is an onsite laundry for guests which we did not use. The one thing lacking was "charm", which my wife mentioned several times in conversations with others. Other than that it was good.
- Christopher (8/5): -
- Deborah (8/5): - Enjoyed the saltwater pool . Staff was polite
- Alison (8/5): Well run, basic comfort! - Friendly and very clean, affordable and convenient. Just what we needed for a quick trip down to visit SOU.
- James (10/5): - Great service
- Regan (9/5): - real drinking glasses rather than paper and plastic cups.
- Brenda (6/5): - Location Ac was very noisy
- Laura (7/5): -
- Stephanie (7/5): - The owner was constantly watching us, it was a bit invasive.
- Deborah (4/5): - The motel was listed on the website as 0.5 miles from downtown. It was 1.5 miles in actuality.
The AC was one of those window type units. While it was effective it was very loud and made it hard to sleep.
On the plus side- everything was very clean
I felt very safe traveling alone
Beds were comfortable.
- David A (8/5): Nice clean room but motel could do with a bit of landscaping - Clean room. Great keurig coffeemaker Great breakfast place next door The grounds are very drab with not a plant in sight Pool is very unappealing in the middle of a parking lot with a hurricane fence around it. Ac worked well but a bit noisy.
- Phyllis (10/5): -
- Amber (7/5): Good price and location - Nice clean remodel. Loved the location and having the parking space right beside the door. The AC was lovely. I wish the pool was open longer and earlier as it was 107 and hot, but it closed at 8 and we had a dinner to attend. There should also be a fan in the bathroom.
- Valeriy (7/5): -
- Patrick (4/5): - At first room was clean and fridge was cold. The room was much smaller than the picture portrayed. This made the room a bit cramped. We stayed for 5 nights and only got partial maid service once. All the service provided was clean towels and emptied trash. When using the pool just plan to take a quick dip. Not a kid friendly pool. Internet access was ok and television was outdated with only providing basic cable with a remote that worked some of the time.
- Rhett (8/5): Nice place to stay close to downtown. - Great Location. It is about a 15 or 20 minute walk to the downtown area. We stayed here and went to a play at the Shakespeare festival. It was clean and had AC. The shower was really nice. Everything was as expected. The room was a bit small, barely fit two full beds.
- Lorne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Connie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ting (7/5): Good -
- Benedict (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and comfortable. Clear pride of ownership.
- Jessie (8/5): - Overall great stay. I would say that the only drawback was that the front desk was not manned 24 hours a day.
- Jeffrey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (7/5): Good - Good location and comfy beds, next to a great breakfast place. Over priced for what the motel offers.
- Rachel (10/5): Comfortable lodging in Ashland for a good price - The previous motel has been completely rehabilitated and improved on! Modern rooms and furniture, comfortable bed.
The pool has been renovated and new patio furniture.
Very close to Southern Oregon University. It is about 1.3 miles to downtown Ashland, near the shopping and theaters, so a car is probably needed.
- Wynn (10/5): - Nothing fancy, but this motel was a hidden gem and I would stay there again in a heartbeat!
- David (8/5): No frills clean and good value - Basic 60s style motel with rooms opening to parking lot. Rooms are basic but adequately equipped and hace recently been nicely refurbished. Rooms are clean. Property appears to be run by a family couple. Noisy AC, though no worse than many more expensive rooms. Bare parking lot, very hot in summer.
- Roger (8/5): Very good -
- Linda (9/5): Nice stay. Great breakfast restaurant next door that is very popular. It isn’t fancy but very comfortable and clean. We - Restored traditional motor court motel, which is reasonably priced, very clean, wonderful owners/managers.
- Kate (7/5): Good -
- Karen (7/5): Good - Clean and modern Air conditioning unit very loud, very hard pillows
- Thalia (8/5): Pleasantly surprised - Super place for the price - comfortable bed and pleasant atmosphere - the pool was clean and refreshing - the only negative is that there is no ice machine which for us, road tripping and motel hopping, is an essential.
- Candace (8/5): Very good - What breakfast? Did I miss that? Loved the walking distance to a couple eateries. Nice shower, fridge, bed. Nice to have hangers. Thumping noises late at night from other rooms, I’m guessing. Internet connection too slow at times. Couldn’t get tv to turn on with remote.
- Dorothy (9/5): Superb - very clean pillows not comfortable. I would prefer a flatter pillow.
No access to ABC television and I wanted to watch the NBA (basketball) finals.
- Frank (8/5): Very good -
- Tom (7/5): We loved Ashland and the Morning Glory Restaurant. - No Breakfast included The ceiling in room 110 is substandard at approximately 7 feet tall. I hit my hands on the ceiling removing a teeshirt. Room 110 is claustrophobic.
- Annette (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hal (8/5): Very good - great bed. nice shower small bathrooms. noisy air conditioner
- Marilynne (7/5): Good - Room was clean. room was small.
- Kathleen (7/5): Would stay again no hesitation! - Bed was very comfy and plenty of pillows. Lots of towels, clean mini-fridge and overall a quiet night! Housekeeping could help the investment with wiping down baseboards that look dirty as well as dower doors. Picnic tables outside desperately need sanding and repainting. Would be a nice place to sit and enjoy the evening.
- Sarah (8/5): - Fourth time staying there and will definitely be back
- Twotravelbugs (9/5): Superb - Exceptionally remodeled room and beautiful bathroom. Super comfortable bed. The outdoor lighting on the covered deck are very bright and keep the room rather lit throughout the night.
- Jill (10/5): - Excellent place to stay! Was very clean, staff was very polite and accommodating
- Candace (9/5): Superb -
- Amir (7/5): good stay - location was very convenient
- Lisa (4/5): Bedbugs yuck - I got bedbugs from this motel
- Mary (8/5): The Ashland Motel is an excellent value. The location is very good; the staff, very friendly. -
- Kristen (9/5): Beautifully remodeled and very comfortable - good quality bed and decor. - We liked the comfort of the beds, the tiled bathroom and shower, the decor, and the location. We were surprised that it was updated and so comfortable for the good price we got.
- Veronica (9/5): Superb -
- Neitzelt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Colleen (1/5): I did not stay there - I Despite pre-paying for the room, I did not actually stay at the hotel as I have mobility issues due to a leg brace and cane. The room they offered me was not accessible as it had stairs and no railings. Apparently there were other rooms available without stairs, but I was not offered them. Or was offered but at a higher price. I was not clear from my conversation with the staff member at the desk. I think this Motel is being updated and it has great potential, but right now it is, from the exterior, funky and not welcoming.
- Phil (7/5): Good -
- Scott (9/5): Superb -
- Steve (6/5): Clean and comfortable bare-bones room. - Bed was comfortable, shower was very nice. efficient heater Only one chair in a two-person room. No ice machine. Improved lighting and fan needed in bathroom
- Violet (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and really comfortable bed. Beautiful big shower. Great location. Safe parking. Nothing.
- Cheryle (8/5): Very good -
- 410jenniev (10/5): Couldn’t ask for more! - Great value, great location. We needed a place in Ashland while our VRBO guests finished their stay. My adult son strongly preferred his own room over the 2-queen room I found at Plaza In & Suites at Ashland Creek. Turned out two King rooms were actually cheaper!
This is a true motel, with no inner corridors and no elevator. But the room was very nice, and came with a medium-sized fridge that worked well, and a microwave that we didn’t use. The bed was a bit high to get onto, but comfy & with plenty of pillows. The huge TV is mounted on the wall with an adjustable bracket, which was handy when we wanted to watch a movie on a laptop.
Checkin is 6-10pm firm; there is no night-owl checkin. WiFi was strong. Checkout was easy.
Best part: this place is right next door to the Morning Glory Cafe, which is a spectacular breakfast place. Try it!
- Pete (9/5): Great staff good value - People were very nice. Both times I asked for things they were very kind. Good place for the amount of money. We’ll go there again.
- Alethea (7/5): Quick one night - Only local channels
- Francois (8/5): Very good -
- Janet (9/5): great value for the price - the beds were so comfortable
I loved that there was hand/body cream
and very good coffee in the room.
quiet location
I liked that the your car is parked paralled to the room so you do n0t get anyone elses headlights into your room
I also loved the recomendations we got from the man at the front desk the powder creamer.
little personal liquid containers of half and half would be so much better
- B (8/5): Owner/manager lovely. - No breakfast Bathtub
- Rosanna (9/5): Superb -
- Corrine (10/5): Comfortable, efficient, clean. - Friendly and accommodating N/a
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Pleasant stay. The only drawback is the noise coming from upstairs
