• Samiha (6/5): Cet établissement joui de son emplacement mais doit s'améliorer en matière d'hôtellerie. - Le personnel était sympa. La situation géographique de cet établissement, transport en commun et lieux à visiter à proximité. Le vieux Antalya est un incontournable de cette grande ville. Etablissement avec une petite piscine calme Etablissement calme Quartier très animé D'être bloqués dans la salle de bain à 2 reprises, la réparation du verrou a été très tardive et la porte était maintenu avec une chaussure afin de maintenir la porte fermée. En quinze jours les draps ont été remplacés une seule fois ! Le ménage n'est pas effectué tous les 2 jours comme indiquer (ce qui implique également le changement des serviettes de toilette...) Parfois 3 jours sans ménage de la chambre et le changement de serviette. Petit déjeuner pas très varié. Pour avoir déjà effectué un séjour dans le même quartier, j'ai un moyen de comparaison avec un autre établissement qui était très bien.

• Aule (8/5): Nice and warm week in the heart of Antalya. - Location was great. But if you want to have quiet vacation then old town is not for you. Live music in the bar next door untill 00:00. My room had nice balcony to the street side with a view to a fancy hotel garden/restaurant. And as there was live music in the bar next to the hotel...I had free concert on my balcony every night. Breakfest was good. My host Mert was very friendly, always smiling and present in the reception. The hotel is run by one family. Fresh juice bar just in front of the hotel. Check-in was 14.00 but I could leave my luggage in the lobby. Also when I was leaving. Tramm station is really near...it takes you to the beach area but also to airport. 1 ride is only 35 lira. Shops all around and are open at least until 23:00 It was a bit noisy. And the facilities looked a bit better on the photos while I was booking. It is an old building. There was a small problem that the water didnt go away in shower...it went away eventually. But the prize was fair. 315 euro for 6 nights.

At first we were a little disappointed, as the photos don’t fully match reality – the accommodation is a bit outdated and the cleaning could be improved. However, we quickly got over this because the location is absolutely fantastic! The hospitality of the staff and the owners really made all the difference. Such a lovely family made us feel very welcome. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back next year for an autumn holiday

Śniadania nie były smaczne, przez 10 dni pobytu bufet był rozłożony tylko raz przez kolejne dni o śniadanie trzeba się prosić, więc nie dostaniesz tego na co masz ochotę, monotonia codzinnie to samo. Czystość pokoi dramat, brzydziłam się myć pod prysznicem który był cały w pleśni, pod łóżkiem znaleźliśmy pety i pełno kurzu. Wszystko słychać, drzwi od balkonu nie szczelne, zero prywatności.Zdjecia na booking nie mają nic wspólnego z tym jak naprawdę to wygląda.

Die Zimmer waren sauber und hygienisch. Die Duschen funktionieren einwandfrei (glauben Sie nicht den Lügen, die hier geschrieben werden). Danke, wir kommen wieder :)

Hot water, electricity were available. No insects were noticed in the room. The whole property needs repair and cleaning (public spaces). The facilities in our room needed repair, missing light bulbs, surfaces that needed cleaning, and there were things (garbage) in our room left from previous visitors. The place looks like it lost its cosyness bacause of poor maintenance.

• Nora (10/5): Recomandam acest hotel! - Am ales sa rezervam la acest hotel, in ciuda scoringului mic, și nu ne-a părut rau. Personalul pe toată perioada sejurului ne-a întrebat dacă este totul ok și dacă avem nevoie de ceva. Chiar am avut o problema cu dusul, care a fost soluționată extrem de prompt. Locatia hotelului foarte buna, în zona veche a orașului, in proximitatea supermarket-urilor, a mijloacelor de transport în comun și a punctelor de preluare pentru excursii organizate. Piscina extrem de curata, micul dejun bun și proaspăt zi de zi, camera de asemenea. Aerul condiționat funcționa foarte bine, având o camera cu vedere către strada in care era foarte cald pe timpul zilei, soarele bătând direct. Probabil camerele cu vedere către piscina sunt mai răcoroase. Personalul hotelului a fost amabil, ne-a permis sa petrecem timpul la piscina hotelului până la zborul de seara, cu toate că eliberasem camera. Ușa de la balcon (camera 301) nu se închidea, decât dacă o trânteam, avand un defect, iar la dus, apa venea când foarte rece, când extrem de fierbinte. O singura data pe perioada sejurului de 9 nopți au fost schimbate prosoapele, însă lenjeria de pe pat nici măcar odată. Am rugat personalul sa ne facă puțin curățenie in camera, după a șasea noapte, însă nu au onorat solicitarea noastră.

• Haneen (1/5): Be aware awful hotel and hustlers, will fight with you to charge you any money - Awful The hotel owner are hustlers, he claimed that we brought water and food from outside the property and asked us to pay them money, he brought us 2 police officers and when I stood and told them that I want to complain in our Embassy and that I want to go to the police station they stopped hustling us. The whole experience is awful, the hotel owner told me kids we don't want to see you in our country, he is racist and does not deserve to work in hospitality business.

Zero cleanliness. They refused to clean the room, one week stay with the same bed sheet. I had to empty the bathroom trash bin myself!😣 bathroom was smelly! The owner told me I will not clean the room and go and complain to the police or booking. Not allowed to eat or drink in the room (as if it is a school) and the owner called the police for me when the kids got food to the room.

• Andrew (6/5): - Rated 2 star which is about right. It is a well worn hotel, but everything seemed to work. Good mattress, large shower, working aircon, hot water reliable and a decent little pool with sun loungers. Must admit i wasn't expecting much reading the reviews, none of which were very recent, but it was ok and in a great location. Oddly, they dont want you to take any food or drink into rooms and there is no kettle provided, which is a pain. Somone complained that they insist you leave keys at reception when you go out, but i cant see the problem as reception is open 24hrs. Cleaning seems to be on a casual basis, but not a big issue. They do a decent breakfast which was a very modest 5€\200TRY. I believe they do food during the day/evening but i didnt try it. All in all, you get what you pay for here, and itvis fairly cheap.

Public transport is close by. Pool 1.8M deep. AC units are too small for big family room. No hot water, had to take bath with cold water. I was given a room with broken Toilet door lock(Room#202). Door wouldn't stay shut. I had to force them to change the room, first they asked me to get in touch with bookings.com which i refused and insisted that they've got to sort this out. Eventually I was given a different room with better condition(Room#204). The Curtains were hanging off the hooks in the new room but it was live able. I hope they will improve the condition of the rooms. Also hotel picture is for the back yard with Pool, not the hotel front.

• Muhammad (1/5): The worst hotel I ever used, the most horrible staff! - Just the location. The staff/manager named David ( according to him his name is David) was horrible! He was arrogant and insensitive plus a big liar! First he denied the fact that according to facilities they advertised on booking.com, a kettle is provided. I had to struggle to make him understand that’s what it says on advertised room facilities. Second , he told me no food and drinks are allowed inside our hotel room. He said we have to do everything in the hotel lounge/cafeteria. He acted so rude and authoritative I felt utterly threatened and discriminated! I never experienced like this in all of my travels, an hotel staff/ manager disrespectful of their guests. So when I insisted that I need a kettle inside our room, he acted like a child with tantrum, he told me the room we were in was not the room we booked so he demanded we must leave the room and move to the other room and we have to move NOW! What a ridiculously rude and insensitive person he is! So we moved to the other room as he demanded. The room itself was small and filthy! It has no wardrobe/cabinets/cupboard to keep our clothes. To our surprise, the water from the tap and shower was yellow brown. We thought it will drain clear after we opened it for sometime, it didn’t, the water was filthy, yellow brown and rusty all throughout our stay. It was so filthy it made our teeth and hair felt muddy. The taste of water when I tried to make sense of it was like a rust. I didn’t escalate this to them because I was traumatised with how the staff/manager treated me, there was no point talking to a self-entitled and arrogant person like this David. They don’t clean the room daily. We stayed there for 4 nights and our room was only cleaned once. I think the staff was not trained to please their guests. They acted indifferent and did not speak to guests overall. Even they don’t speak English but they should look welcoming, friendly like what I experienced in other hotels in turkey.

Hotel itself is really bad Property was extremely dirty, filthy towels, broken shower which was connected with a plastic tube. AC didn’t work properly. No electric kettle( yeas right ) no coffee no room service no iron and finally no cleaning. It would have been a nice property back in the the but currently being managed externally poorly so don’t get fooled by the pictures. People are really nice but they can’t help given owner has decided to let it run.

• Rodrigo (6/5): Horrible Hotel in Antalya - Good location Poor hospitality from the staffs and the owner. I go to Antalya every year and this hotel was the worst hotel we ever stayed in. I asked the staff to change our room since the shower was not working at all and their solution was to repair the shower instead of changing to a new room with a proper working shower. I even checked the booking.com website on that day I arrived, and there were 4 available rooms. It was very disappointing. The staffs won’t even care when you checked out. They won’t even help you out bringing out your luggages from their very steep staircase.

Very good breakfast, rooms in good shape, nice pool, walk to the beach and marina, on the quiet street but right in the heart of old town with tons of bars and restaurants.

• ronaldsB4620ZU (2/5): Steder away! - This is by far the worst hotel experience. The hotel has not got it both on service, on cleaniless, on food and price. If the aircondition was not working they will charge you 30 euros to fix it. The food was terrible and often ordered from take away from other places. The rooms were dirty. The minibar was placed in the bathroom. The hotel personell lacked profesionalism. The hotel manager and the recepcionist were rude and even aggressive if you asked for something.

No matter how much I aired it out, the smell of cigarettes remained. There were stains on the bed. The bathroom had a fridge that was completely filled with water, and the drawer was filled with used bottles from gel and shampoo. The shower was broken, with parts falling off. Unfortunately, the pool was closed, so I couldn't swim. The price for such a room was too high.

We were allowed to swim from 10am to 6pm.

• 994huseyink (4/5): Disappointing. - First and foremost I thought I was booking another hotel that I remember from eight years ago, but turn out to be this was not the one. Tried to book six rooms, it was not possible because becomes a group booking so I had to call the hotel owner & the manager answered to call then I booked six rooms via deposit some deposit direct to hotel acc. We have checked in 29 October 2022. Pro's The rooms are spacious. The location is good, in the castle area and near to Hadrians gate. Somehow attractive building looking from the outside. Cons The water pressure in the showers was not adequate, it was almost impossible to adjust the water to the desired temperature and the water flow was so little that 5 min shower maybe can be done in 20 minutes, of course people with long hair can forget about the shower completely. Rooms were NOT quiet we could hear everything happening in the narrow street front of the hotel, my five cent worth advice is to get your earplugs ready! -One of my friend was fed up of lack of water in the shower and asked for her money to be reimbursed owner & manager did not interested in reimbursement, then I call the Ministry of Tourism to file a formal complaint, that is all happened in front of the manager. -The hotel itself was noisy because I could hear the next-door TV and the noise from the doors was excessive. -By this time we had travelled 3 thousand km in Turkey and we stayed in many hotels with breakfast, I must say the saddest breakfast was at Hadrian gate hotel, second day onward we had to look elsewhere to have breakfast. -The reception area of the hotel same time is storage for hundreds of carpets!
• Warren88 (2/5): Shocker of a hotel - The hotel is rundown, very little water pressure in the shower. Mould in the shower recess. Noisy, expensive, unenviting reception area smelled like very dusty carpet. Breakfast was included but was terrible, so we all eat out elsewhere during our stay. I would NOT recommend this hotel. Staff do not speak English. Only thing it has going for it is the location. They ask for direct debit up front payment for rooms and they do not provide refunds. FIVE THUMBS DOWN. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.

The hotel is actually a carpet shop and the rooms are above. Great location. Would stay again We stayed for one week and the apartment wasnt cleaned once. Bed sheets never changed and towels were only changed when we asked for more.

The lobby of the hotel is used as a warehouse full of carpets. You do not believe that it is a hotel at first. The rooms are very dirty and there is not even toilet paper, if you want it cleaned, they charge an extra 400 lira. If any of your guests come, be prepared for them to be kicked out of the door. A hotel that will never deserve your money.

• Garbuz (4/5): - I was relocated to this hotel by the Expedia relocation team, as my previous booking was canceled at Dogan Hotel ( the room was not available). The hotel proposed me two variants: very noisy family room and completely not renovated room, more calm near pool. My choice for 1st night was this "calm" room. During the night I realized how strong is the smell of mold from bathroom, no TV working, no wardress. So, the night was nightmare. Second night I spend in the family room with also mold smell in bathroom and very kith decoration, without antimoskito protection at the windows and very noisy. Breakfast was very poor. It was necessary even ask the water. Disappointing stay at this hotel. In the same time hotel is salling the kilims (tapestries). The kitchen is situated in the same area with storage of the kilims. So smell of old tapestries is everywhere. After my reviews to Expedia, I received few aggressive messages from owner accusing me for my opinion. So I am really feeling bad because of this relocation to this so call "hotel'. I feel like I really need the compensation from Expedia for the mistake made during my first reservation with Dogan hotel and for relocation me in the Hadrian Gate Hotel where I spent two nights in nightmare style. Thanks for your consideration of this.

Great location, clean and quiet (room 102) with plenty of towels and toiletries, hairdryer and aircon. Comfortable beds. Relaxing pool area. Nice staff. The only thing, breakfast was not mentioned to us and Trip Advisor says it is included, but we didn't know either way. We would stay at Hadrian's Gate again though, nice hotel.

The good thing is that location is Very historical and a lot of coffee places and restaurants near. So if you not looking for easy ways thats a right place for you. One more time DO NOT BUY NOTHING from this hotel because you will be ripped off, especial if you are not turkish.

• Grosvenorthehound (8/5): Enjoyable stay in a great location - Last minute booking at the start of October was told by Expedia that the room would be with balcony overlooking pool, I arrived at hotel simple check in and room was ground floor overlooking street. The owner sorted out the room and moved me to 402 I think right by the pool, a very simple double with en-suite, covered area overlooked the pool and was very quiet and restful. The room displayed a note to say rooms cleaned every 2 days. I didn't experience that. I enjoyed my stay there perfect for exploring The old town and some great little places to eat and drink nearby and have a breakfast, Villa Perla restaurant lovely food and live music Alp Passa, Old House hostel with a 6 hour happy hour! great music, Barbarian next door, decent wine and some live music, Café Rico for breakfast ( go out of hotel turn left and walk for about 400 yards) and Demlik for nice food and great laid back atmosphere. for a treat go to Salman Patisserie. The hotel does disallow food and drink to be taken back to room! Question would I go back? Yes it was inexpensive, comfortable and in a great location.

I was moved from 3 bed deluxe?? Room which didnt have an outside space, but was moved to bungalow room with terrace after 2 nights. There was sign saying dont bring food or drink in, but fridge wS in room. People friendly enough but a very basic room and hotel. Yes i would use again but my expectancy would not be based on official website which is inaccurate!!

Manager informed us that our room was given to someone else and We were given another room. Our room had a poor shower - no pressure, no hot water at late night to morning. AC took 30 mins to an hour to cool the room. Location was the best thing. Room was cramped for space despite being a deluxe room for 4 people. Staff were very nice though.
• LiamRoberts (10/5): Great central location - Especially given we paid a fraction of the price we would have paid at many similar hotels, the Hadrian’s Gate was great. The manager is a great guy, who was very welcoming, helpful and generous in the way he treated us throughout the stay. The location was perfectly located for seeing the main old town, but good for seeing the neighbouring shop areas too. There was also a taxi spot right by the actual Hadrian’s Gate round the corner making travel super-easy. We had the poolside room separate from the main hotel, which was perfect for dropping straight into the pool in the mornings before setting out for the day. The room was nice, although my only minor criticism is that the shower room could do with a bit of general TLC. The pool area was also spotless and a nice size too. Perfect for a cool-down dip after a hot day of sightseeing!
• Jasiboo (6/5): Beautiful little place - but noisy - Perfectly located within the old city walls in a beautiful building. When booking we requested a quiet room (having read other reviews about this issue), but was given a room facing the street,,, and there was a lot of noise until well after midnight every day. We asked for another room, but our request was denied. On top of the noise from the street - the morning prayers from the mosque across the street, will wake you up at 5 every morning! The owner/manager is somewhat obsessed with signs. There are huge signs everywhere telling you what not-to-do. One of them read "ATTENTION !!! PLEASE DO NOT BRING DRINK OR FOOD FROM OUTSIDE". In the beginning I understood this as if they did not want you to bring wine to the restaurant or other behavior of that nature. But no, the owner literally told me that I could not bring a bottle of water from outside to my own room. Like I said in the beginning, the hotel it selves is a little gem. With the right sound proofing glass in the windows of the room facing the street. And a management that understood they were in the service industry. This place would be top-notch.
• Nbutt23 (2/5): Very disappointing - We stayed in this hotel for 6 nights. Very disappointed with the service here. Not ideal with small children. Staff were extremely rude and not accommodating. Breakfast definitely needs improving as well as cleanliness. Looks nice online, however very dirty. Only positive is the location. Shops are nearby and lots to do in the evening.
• 546nazk (6/5): It was ok - The hotel is really small but near to everything. So location wise it was perfect u can walk to everywhere. The staff were nice and helpful. So we did have some issues like the fridge wasn't working but they changed it when we told them. The breakfast was awful to be fair it wasn't a buffet type it was only cheese bread Jam some times fruit. The breakfast needs to be improved and they housekeeping was hard work because the lady couldn't understand English so asking for towels we never really got them. They do need to improve on the breakfast but it wasn't actually a bad hotel not sure if inwould stay there again. But the staff were nice.
• leahsQ6146BF (10/5): Great! - The hotel is located in the best place in Kaleiçi, just 30 seconds walk from Hadrian Gate. My room was nice and had a big bathroom and pointed to the sweamming pool so i had lots of peace and quiet. The stuff is very kind and helpful. Breakfast needs a little improvement.
