- Wooden (7/5): Motel was clean, comfortable and staff was pleasant. - Good location for our needs. We had a 2nd floor room and they did not have an elevator.
- Lois (9/5): - The location
- Scott (10/5): - above and beyond service and stay experience nothing
- Scott (10/5): - Convenient and clean Need a garbage can by entrance under the awning outside
- Sandra (10/5): -
- Jackie (9/5): This is the 2nd time I have stayed there. It's got a homey feeling and I will stay again - The coffee wasn't the best but the breakfast was adequate. The room was big and very quiet. I enjoyed the stay and plan on staying there again! The staff were very nice and friendly Coffee could have been better
- Susan (9/5): -
- Jason (10/5): -
- Sonja (9/5): Clean, convenience and great service! - The staff were friendly and everything was exceedingly clean and very well maintained, including the amazing, deep jacuzzi tub in our room. There were a couple well priced vending machines for snacks and drinks available, and a water bottle refill station, near the ice machine. Several nice local restaurants available as well as convenience stores and shops. We were nice and close to the Allegan County Fair and discovered the Allegan Event, which was a blast! We enjoyed it a lot and didnt have any issues.
- Lynn (3/5): - Breakfast was not breakfast they had no protein so without protein it was nonexistent. The facility needs some serious up dates No elevator for up stairs so if handicap you need to get a room on the ground level. I did not know this in advance so we had to get a different room. They were able to change us to a different room. Only had a window air conditioner. So it didn't cool the whole room.
- william (8/5): nice -
- C (5/5): I'll never stay here again. - My room was clean It's a very dated hotel, no pool or spa. Pricey for what and where it is.
- Dana (10/5): -
- Justin (7/5): -
- Z (8/5): - Clean. Comfortable. No elevator
- Jamie (8/5): - .
- Craig (8/5): - Nice clean hotel, nothing fancy. A nice place to stay the night
- Amber (10/5): - ..
- Nadine (6/5): - The location was easy to find.
- Hal (9/5): -
- David (10/5): - Allegan MI has several wedding venues but bigger name hotels are further away. This one is easy to access, so local, and turned out to be clean, quiet, safe, and so economical. And amazingly, it was down the block from the county fair.
- William (6/5): - Well the biggest disappointment was they advertised a good breakfast, but all they offered was doughnuts and coffee and I don't drink coffee. The room was big like they said. Nice decor.
- Daniel (10/5): - Hotel was very clean. Great place to stay.
- Eric (10/5): - Wonderful staff and property. Very clean and quiet. Would definitely stay again and would definitely recommend to others.
- Mary (8/5): - I have to recognize the effort invested in both money and time to get this dated property up to modern standards. It is clear that they also clean the public areas and the rooms up to modern standards as well. The room AC worked as expected. I’m not a fan of the water-saving sprinkler bathroom faucet, but maybe I’m the only person. It was quiet and restful.
I would definitely stay here again.
- Terezia (9/5): Lovely stay in Michigan - Lovely staff who own this inn. You can hear your neighbours through the walls. Just make sure you have ear-plugs if that bothers you.
- geraldl (6/5): - BREAKFAST WAS SPARSE. NO COFFEE POT IN ROOM
- Sara (6/5): - This was an unexpected trip, and so impromptu motel booking. It’s quaint inside like a 1970s remodel. The room itself was actually very clean! The stairs to the second floor were very steep. The wooden platform outside our room was nice to watch tons of fireworks from and then go inside the room to cool off from the 2025 July heat and my dog on the inside couldn’t hear any of the fireworks (he hates them)!!
- Riggs (10/5): - Cleanliness of the whole property
- donna (10/5): Comfortable inn - I was attending the Michigan Wool and Fiber Show. The hotel was very close to the fairgrounds. The room was very comfortable. The bathroom was a little dated but was well maintained and very clean.
- Recchia (10/5): -
- David (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable. Personnel was helpful with my luggage as my knee had a problem. Will stay there again.
- Antonette (10/5): - Always a peaceful stay. Hair dryer in room didn't work.
- Georgia (8/5): Spacious room and plenty of coffee - Quiet and spacious room. Had coffee 24x7 It would have been nice to have a someplace to work out.
- Sara (10/5): - .
- Chaffins (9/5): -
- Greg (10/5): - Staff nothingAwesome time
- Sophia (10/5): - Hotel was in a nice area that was perfext for traveling to other cities. Many ammenities such as WiFi, AC, breakfast, and parking. Staff was very nice and welcoming. Sheets had some staining but that was the only indcidence whereas the rest of the unit was clean. Really enjoyed my stay!
- Richard (9/5): Welcomed! - It was local to our event. It was clean and the check in process was great
- Stacey (10/5): -
- CHRISTOPHER (9/5): In South Haven all was booked and this was perfect option not faraway from Michigan Lake. -
- David (10/5): -
- Lisa H (8/5): - Easy, clean, quiet and comfortable stay for our one night in Allegan.
- Tammy (8/5): -
- Timothy (8/5): Drag Races - Been here before, always my choice when in the area.
- Denise (8/5): Cheap, clean, friendly - It was clean and quiet. The pool was closed though and I was not notified of this after booking. They did reach out to inform me my room was upstairs with no elevator access. I appreciated them informing me of this.
- Gus (10/5): -
- Geri (8/5): - N/A
- Al (8/5): -
- Heidi (10/5): Wedding - Very affordable for the area, great breakfast and very friendly owners! Great value.
- Daren (8/5): -
- Miller (1/5): Overpaid for misrepresented facilities. I would not have stayed if I had known there was no pool! - Seemed clean. They still advertise access to a pool. It was not available June 19-22, 2025 and had not been for some time! They lied to my face about being notified! All double beds are on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator, did not know that either! They said they couldn't adjust the price because I booked thru Booking. com - Booking.com said they have nothing to do with price adjustments! After three weeks of going in circles, I gave up on with a $50. adjustment for a three night stay WITH NO POOL! I'm done with them and Booking.com!
- Christine (10/5): - Everything we needed. Clean room, price was great. Very friendly staff. Will be staying there again.
- Patience (10/5): - Staff was super nice and accommodating when we arrived right before the office closed at 12. Despite the somewhat sketchy area as 2 young girls arriving late at night we were able to check in and bring in all our bags safely. great place, nice, good workers, and affordable.
- Ronald (10/5): - This is a nice little hotel with plenty of parking.
- Jewel (10/5): Dated but very clean. - The staff/owners were very accommodating. The space is dated, however, safe and very clean! I have stayed there two different times on a business trip and have been pleased both times. There is no elevator, that may be an issue for some people.
- Jennifer (10/5): Great family-owned roadside inn with EV charger - This is a friendly, clean, and well-cared for inn on the side of the road in the cute town of Allegan. The beds were moderately comfortable by big-name chain hotel standards, but this is a wonderful family-owned hotel with more character than a Hilton. We asked about EV chargers, and it turned out they offer one for a flat $10 in their own parking lot. Got our battery halfway full in six hours and saved us from having to wake up a half hour earlier to charge and continue our trip. We didn't try the pool and only grabbed some fruit from the free breakfast on our way out, but everything is clean and the staff are attentive. I would trust them for the next time we come back through.
- Beatriz (10/5): -
- Chambers (10/5): - Clean room. Nice staff
- Tammy (9/5): - Room was nice and clean. Beds were comfortable. We didn't have the breakfast so I can't comment on that. Overall it was a decent place to stay. Nice and quiet. Pool was not open. Not sure why
- John (10/5): Good choice for last minute decision. - Quiet location. Not too far from where I had my business meeting. I was on the second floor, but could not find an elevator. No restaurants within walking distance.
- Josephine (8/5): - Clean, quiet and well tended. They could provide a luggage cart for disabled people and a railing up the steps to the office. Staff was responsive in resolving other problems.
- Sarah (10/5): Great budget, friendly hotel - Very clean! The couple that run the hotel are very sweet and kind.
- Kristina (10/5): - It was the quietest place we’ve stayed at in long time which was very nice change! Hotel staff friendly and helpful! Will be returning
- Angel (10/5): - Breakfast was good. The place was clean and quiet. Good location.
- VILLAGE of (8/5): - Great but there is always room for improvement.
- Robin (10/5): Always a wonderful stay. You won't go wrong here. - Budget Host Inn will consistently be my choice when visiting Allegan. The hosts are friendly & helpful, the room is always immaculate, quiet & spacious. Bed is comfortable & breakfast is adequate, with many choices. The hotel is centrally located, with easy walking & driving access to many destinations. Can't think of a single thing, offhand..? Maybe better cable reception, if I were to get picky.
- Jeff (6/5): - It was an ok stay.
- Mike (10/5): - Very very clean—inside and out. Quiet. Very nice bfast.
- Samuel (10/5): -
- Julie (7/5): It’s one of the less expensive options for the area so it’s not fancy but clean quiet comfortable bed and everything in - Clean, good working condition, well kept. Friendly management Time Capsule like dated interior
- dawn (6/5): Basic place to sleep - The hotel was affordable. The area is not great. *Which is not the hotels fault. The bedding was very old and worn and mismatched. The bathroom sink/cabinet was falling apart. One of the lamps had no light bulbs at all, and the pool was completely closed, which I didn't find out about until after I booked and paid. Just little things that could be fixed up.
I probably would not stay here again. The strange bedding was very uncomfortable.
- Leslie (10/5): - Very clean. Kind and helpful staff.
- Dixon (2/5): Clean but - It was clean. Vanity in bathroom was busted. Toilet didn't flush properly. Had to hold the handle down and flush many times just to get toilet paper to go down. Pool was closed. One top sheet and very thin blanket and some type of half cover.
- Clingen (5/5): The Budget Inn was nice and clean and cute. It was close to the places we needed to go. - I do say the coffee tasted great. The eating area was very nice. There was no one around to talk to or ask questions. You had to walk to the front of office if you needed something. Breakfast was very sparing. Not much to choose from. And nothing hot, except making oatmeal.
- Robert (10/5): -
- john (6/5): - Only negative was no fresh coffee anywhere. Other than that we were the only guests and our stay was great!
- Earl (10/5): - Hotel Was great, the couple taking care of the place kept it clean and nice,
- Joe (6/5): - Location to event The entryway wasn't easily located. The red pavement out front of what is to be the lobby wasn't. The entry was the front of a tanning salon. It was dingy and ran down. The room and the old entry was clean and so nice. No idea why they would enter their guest in the tabbing salon.
- Amy (8/5): -
- Craig (8/5): - Good
- Emily (10/5): -
- Scott (10/5): - Nice place
- Scott (8/5): - First, the hotel was VERY clean.
Second, the interior is very dated. It needs to be updated.
Third, breakfast was very limited. Basically a toaster for bagels, or bread. No eggs or meat.
Fourth, there was tv evangelist playing in the lobby during breakfast. Anything else, even an infomercial, would be better.
Lastly. I would stay again if I had no other option.
- Gerald (8/5): Staff very nice.property was clean and nice - Left too early to do breakfast Pepsi machine broken
- Leslie (10/5): - Clean and comfortable. Very nice owners
- Brenda (6/5): - It was a little pricey for the area and no pool. Older property, but it was a place to stay and clean.
- Alexandra (9/5): I would definitely recommend - Beautiful property, friendly staff
- Janine (10/5): - Don’t let the outside fool you, the inside was very clean was quiet.
- Marisa (6/5): - Everything was fine, but the jets were broken on the hot tub, which they did not disclose when I asked, and the door latch inside was broken in half. Not a big deal, and we were exhausted when we we arrived so we didn't make a fuss. Otherwise very clean and nice.
- Ireneusz (8/5): - I would describe this hotel as a 1990s hotel time capsule. Overall it's a bit strange and is like stepping back in time. However its was very clean and everything worked and it was priced competitively. They had a small breakfast selection, plenty of parking, and even a Level 2 EV charger (Though they did charge $10 to use it)
- Greg (6/5): - Nothing
- Natzel (10/5): Highly recommend - we'd definitely stay here again if we're ever in the area. - Check in was a breeze and the owners were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was clean and appeared to have been recently remodeled. This property was a great value for the price. We were a little disappointed that the pool wasn't open, but there appeared to be renovations going on and we only stayed one night, so it wasn't a big deal.
- Gregory (10/5): - A huge thank you to the owner of the facility for assisting me upon check in and check out in carrying my bags up to my room due to my disability. Next time I stay I will call in advance for a 1st floor room.
- Brian (10/5): Great staff, clean rooms! Always a nice place to stay when in the area! - This is a wonderful place to stay! So clean! Very nice amenities! Breakfast never disappoints!
- Matt (9/5): -
- Suzanne (6/5): - This is a bare bones motel. Very minimal amenities - terrible mattresses (hard as a brick to sleep on) The staff was nice, and check n was easy. No elevator to reach the second floor where all the two bed rooms are located.
- Andrew (10/5): - Pretty nice little hotel
