Guest Reviews
- Vandenberg (10/5): Incredible - We loved cabin #7. It felt very private not having anyone beside us one one side. We liked the fact we could exit of our deck. The view was amazing. Nothing. It was perfect in every area.
- Chisholm (10/5): Idyllic, charming, comfortable cabins that brought us peace and tranquility. - An idyllic gem of a place. We enjoyed immensely and felt like it was our very own comfortable cabin. The local bath soap was so lovely. The docks, Adirondack chairs and canoe were so great. Our dogs loved the cabin and were so relaxed. Welcoming friendly staff. Privacy and comfort. A Sauna and whirl pool sauna were so nice to end the evening with. A lovely place to spend a special occasion. And frogs to sing us to sleep.....Thank you very much.
- Greg (9/5): Very rustic, well cared for cabin, with comfortable bed, and good lake access. - Beautiful, solid log built cabin. Comfortable and well appointed.
Easy access to the lake, and free use of kayak or canoe. Little things: toilet paper dispenser difficult to reach; shower head very low for a tall guy; and garbage bag hanging on lower cupboard door a little awkward to use and close door. Better to have a bin in the cupboard under the sink. But none of this would dissuade our return.
- Linda (8/5): It was perfect. - Waking up to views of the lake, the birds and eagles, the quiet and solitude. Our cabin was situated perfectly. I loved having my morning coffee and yoga on the dock.
- Wendy (8/5): 非常自由relax - 厨房设备餐具非常齐全,周边自然环境非常好,森林中临湖边,划船自由,随时可以水上漂。 空间仅够4个人活动,没有足够的储物空间。
- Lyn (10/5): Lovely place to stay - The views and location were outstanding. Staff were great, love having firewood replenished daily. Open fire was wonderful on cool evenings Only thing I can think ( a very minor point) the baking tray for use in oven not in good condition to put food on. No other issues at all
- Francesca (10/5): Peaceful. - The cabin was clean and comfortable and the property had everything you might want for a perfect lake getaway. Will be back!
- Janice (8/5): Very nice lakefront cabins - The beautiful location, friendly staff, hot tub and sauna to enjoy. The lighting in the main bedroom very bad, had to get a lantern. Also at in cabin 6 in kitchen no hood range!! 3 times when cooking, the alarm went off. Once my neice cooking with the back door way open so the alarm wouldn't go off but that IMO it shouldn't be necessary.
- Dara (9/5): Tranquil, arrive with what you want to eat and drink and you don’t need to leave for anything! - Cozy, warm, quiet, peaceful and beautiful. Loved the fact there was complementary team and board games. Kitchen had everything we needed. Very well equipped.
All the firewood you could ever want that’s replenished every day! Super friendly owners and very responsive. We loved it and can’t wait to come back.
- janet (10/5): It was the perfect getaway for me and my partner. So quiet! - Cabin was on the lake. Daily firewood delivery. BBQ’s if wanted. Power outage kit , which was fabulous! Comfortable bed. Canoes if wanted. Sooo quiet!! Nothing
- Halasz (10/5): -
- pan (9/5): - 木火炉,性价比不错 火炉没有沙发,毯子上有狗毛
- Rahna (10/5): The lady at the front desk is awesome and a great time with a great sense of humor !! Positive vibes all around - The hot tub and the brand‑new sauna made every morning feel like a reset. The cabin itself was super comfy, the beds were cozy, and even though the cabins are close together, it still felt private and peaceful. We loved having a real fireplace, and the price was honestly unbelievable for what you get. I can’t say enough good things. I’m really hoping the rates stay reasonable into summer, because with the Tsawwassen ferry jumping from $115 there and another 115 back to even higher after April, getting there from Vancouver is already pricey. There was nothing we did not like ! We can’t wait to go back. It’s just the commute from Vancouver to there that is ridiculously priced but hopefully there can be alternative ways
- Sabrina (9/5): -
- Meera (10/5): -
- Sage (10/5): It was a great place to get away for the weekend ! - Very friendly owners and amazing property and cabins ! nothing
- henwood (10/5): -
- Guin (7/5): It was a very pleasant stay. - The setting was lovely, we loved the big windows looking out towards the end of the Lake. We liked that they were very conscience of recycling.
I would go back again if we were to visit Saltspring Island. This is everything in a nutshell. Clearing away more of the spider webs would have been nicer. We had a spider drop by for a visit on our bed, and it wasn't a small one.
The electrical was a bit of an issue.. but the manager did fix the problem.. But It could use an upgrade.
The Canoe we took out for a paddle could have been more stable.. I have done lots of paddling in my day ... and this canoe was very tippy.

- Andrew (8/5): Cozy and Quaint little cabin with water view. - Great Location
Good Price
Friendly Manger
Nice, Cozy, quaint Cabins
Beautiful View of lake Bed Sheets had stains on them
Sticky Dining Room table
Found Spider Web in the bedroom closet
Some Bowls and Cup were wet and had water stains.
- Miriam (8/5): This was a great Two day get away from the mundane. - Quiet, scenic, comfortable Nothing
- Ann (10/5): -
- Hui (Herbie) (10/5): I’ve booked to come back next year again! - We come here every year since 2022. It’s a quiet nice cabin area with real firewood. We love to have the real fireplace in the cabin, very cozy! Nothing!
- Dale (10/5): - A lovely smaller family run resort! Great place to spend some stormy winter days!
- Julie (10/5): -
- Aase (10/5): Scenic gorgeous stay - Scenic beautiful and quiet
Nicely equipped kitchen
Sauna and hot tub
- Steve (9/5): Fair value for a wonderfully relaxing, clean and comfortable stay - Very clean. Comfortable bed. Good location. Peaceful.
- Anooj (10/5): - Great setting, love the lakeside location and hot tub
- Wendy (9/5): - It is a lovely location on a point so the lake surrounds the resort on all sides.
We had a small issue with the bed frame. Someone came right away and fixed it. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Telling of fun things to do in the area.
- Timmer (7/5): Three nights of relaxation with great views of the lake. - The cabin was very rustic but had everything that we needed or wanted. We were able to have a nice fire in the fireplace every night. They would bring us a new load of fire wood every afternoon with kindle and fire starter. The location right on the lake was really nice and relaxing. We were even able to bbq some food at the bbq pit by the lake. The road construction at the time made it difficult to get to town with long delays, the resort was great though.
- Brittany (10/5): Ideal cabin getaway for families - Beautiful and peaceful with excellent staff and facilities.
- Mandy (10/5): - We had a fabulous stay at Cusheon Lake Resort this weekend! After a really nice welcome from Andie, we settled into our already warmed up cozy cabin with lake view. We enjoyed the super comfortable king size bed, the constant wood supply, the opportunity to head onto the lake buy provided canoe, the space and well equipped kitchen. On top of that we were stoked to have the chance to take advantage of a brand new sauna on the property! It really was an overall great experience and we loved the rustic vibe. Thank you! Really nothing to add here
- Montgomery (9/5): Great. Thanks - Great location well maintained and friendly staff. Loved the wood cabins with the fabulous fireplace.
- Charlotte (9/5): Charming log cabin on rustic and family friendly grounds - Beautiful rustic log cabins on great family friendly grounds. Rooms great size, dedicated parking and lots to do. Appreciated the communal swings and toys for our little one. Would love to stay again at this beautiful resort. Staff were pleasant and exceptionally helpful. Nothing
- Anthony (10/5): - Nice, rustic cabins located in a beautiful, quiet location. The provided canoes and kayaks were a nice touch and we made good use of them. The hot tubs and new barrel sauna were great for those chilly evenings. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. I appreciated that they provided games and additional coffee and toilet paper at the front office. The beds were comfortable. It was too bad there was a fire ban when we visited so we weren't able to make use of the wood-burning fireplaces.
While the kitchen was pretty well-stocked, I wish they included some napkins or paper towels. Also, having the TV in the bedroom could be inconvenient if you are trying to watch TV or a movie with a group.
Overall, a nice location for quiet getaway!
- Gerald (10/5): Didn’t want to leave ! - Perfect Nothing
- Karen (9/5): Staff was awesome, friendly, cabin was perfect a great getaway! -
- Gregory (1/5): grungy dump which should have a rating of FILTHY - Leaving the unit filthy unit exterior needing power washing, filthy skylights and glass windows and patio door, set back too far from lake, deceptive photos in Booking.com, interior logs never cleaned, stinky fireplace
- Cliff (8/5): Very good - The view Cabin could use some updates
- Sarah (10/5): Little slice of heaven - It was clean, beautiful and peaceful. All the guests were respectful and quiet. The kayaks available were amazing and saw a lot of wildlife around the lake including baby bunnies, an otter and lots of eagles. Lots of comfortable seating available around the resort and also comfortable beds. Filtered water on tap. Love that I could bring my fur child as well. Nothing
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional - The view of the lake. It was quiet. The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed.
- Lise (10/5): Definitely recommend this place and would love to return some day! - This location was beautiful! The nature is very inviting!
- Bouwe (9/5): Great stay, would highly recommend! - All of it. Amazing location, full & complete accommodation, comfy bed, complementary firewood & nice people. Not much honestly.
- Michael (10/5): - Amazing...a 3 star that is 5 star for nature lovers! Log cabins with kitchen and comfortable beds, real fire places with ample free dry wood topped up daily, view of the lake. 2 hot tubs and sauna, free access to plenty of canoes, kayaks and paddle boards any time you want, small but good size quiet lake with fish to catch, multiple docks with chairs and other access to swim. Eagles, deer etc all around. Suoer attentive and friendly staff on site. Office has tons of games and puzzles to use. Easy drive to town or around this great island - paved main roads right to resort. My wife and i were blown away by this place!! Only recommend for property is to ditch the old brick "bbq" area (at minimum replace rusty grills) and provide actual bbqs :)
- Hoar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (8/5): We will be back. - The view of lake, that every thing is supplied shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, dish soap. There is a kettle but it's the kind you use on the stove top. Every thing you need gor the kitchen. Beds very comfy. Could bring dog. The chairs in living room could be upgraded as they are getting saggy
- Natasha (8/5): Lovely resort - I've stayed here 3 times total and it's a lovely location, lovely views and love the amenities and refills of wood for the fireplace. It always feels comfortable and relaxing and love that the cabins have their own parking spots. The team here is very welcoming and its easy to get in touch with them if anything is ever needed. The only issue with this visit at this cabin we were in didn't have a regular door, it had a sliding door and it was difficult to lock as the track was very worn and the handle was loose, so it took some time to close and lock the door. Fortunately the maintenance guy came by very quickly and at least fixed how loose the handle was so we were at least able to lock the door. otherwise I'd visit again but hope the sliding doors get replaced in the future
- Clarisse (10/5): - It was a peaceful, beautiful, and cozy stay at cusheon lake. The whole family loved it and will come back again!!! We already miss it
- Anca (10/5): Best weekend stay in a long time - I had the best time that I didn't even dream of at this property. The cabin we got for 2 people was very spacious. The king bed was so good and comfy. We had everything we needed and we really noticed that every time we thought of something that we might need we actually found it in the cabin. Incredible to also see a professional cooking pan ;) Getting our firewood replenished every day and having plenty of other necessities covered made this an amazing stay. They also have 2 hot tubs and a sauna and the scenery is just beautiful. Quiet and perfect for a relaxed time.
- richard (8/5): - Our cabin was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the use of the kitchen and fireplace.

- Dana (8/5): Very good -
- Nicholas (9/5): Superb -
- Julie (8/5): Peaceful cabin at the lake. - It was a cute little cabin to stay in. The kitchen had what we needed to cook in it. There was firewood everyday that was delivered to the cabin.
We had a good time.
- Rachel (9/5): Superb -
- clint (8/5): - The wood fireplaces were great! Loved the daily wood top-ups. Although renovated, our room seemed a little dated.
Enjoyed the sauna and hot tub.
- Anne and Glen (8/5): - We love love loved the wood burning fireplace!!! The deck overlooking the lake was sublime. The kitchen spacious.
Didn’t like the tv being in the bedroom. Would prefer to have it over the fireplace. The couch was pretty basic and not comfy. There was no coffee table so we moved the daybed over to put our feet up.
Lots of birds chirping. Lovely.
- Troy (8/5): Very good -
- Pele (9/5): Peaceful oasis on a beautiful island! - Absolutely stunning quiet location. Lovely facilities. The kitchen was amazingly well equiped. The entire area was peaceful, quiet, beautiful. We were really impressed with everything. The hot tub and sauna were a bonus, as were the kayak and canoes we could take out on the lake.
- Ashley (10/5): - I loved the peace and quiet, and just being in nature. I was able to truly rest and unwind. Although the cabin was rustic, it was well equipped, clean, and comfortable. I will definitely be back at some point.

- Julie (10/5): Exceptional -

There were so many cute little touches, like tiny tinder bundles for the fireplace. One load of wood re-stocked each day. Complimentary kayaks/canoes and water gear to enjoy the lake. Best of all--unexpected that they had a hot tub and newly installed sauna! Full spa experience. We had a lovely time.

Bring your slippers! We forgot ours but would bring next time :)
The doggo seemed to enjoy it too!

- Lisa (10/5): Excellent location, quality of the cabins, amenities, staff were fantastic. Highly recommend - We were thrilled with the quality of the cabin and the property. It was exactly what we needed, to get away and relax. It was near enough (but far enough!) from the action in Ganges and we were able to explore the whole island in 2 days
- Kay (10/5): Exceptional -
- Scott (9/5): Superb -
- Yvonne (10/5): Exceptional -
- lee (10/5): - The stay was great but was surprised by the extra $40 charge per night for the two people that stayed with us in our 2nd room of a "two bedroom cabin " we already paid more money to be in that accommodate for a total of 4 people, I could understand if we had extra people in a 1 bedroom using the pull out or cots but this cabin is set up for two couples and the price reflected that already.
- Rebecca (10/5): - We loved our time at Cusheon Lake. It was so quiet, clean, and relaxing! Wonderfully kept up property, with beautiful lake views and great amenities.
- Chris (10/5): - Just the best stay. Relaxing, calm and quiet. Exactly what we needed. Staff were helpful and accommodating as well.
- Aoife (10/5): Exceptional -
