Guest Reviews
- James (5/5): Spending time in Kauai is always great! We just spent as little time as possible at the resort. - The pool area was nice; however, the hot tub was non-functional until the last day of our trip. Additionally, the pool was unheated until the last day of our stay. The room was very small and dated. The advertised square footage included the outdoor patio. The 350 sq ft advertised was actually 250 sq ft of living space. Very, very tight for 2 adults. This was our second stay at the facility (2022). The staff treated us differently this time around as were not Wyndham members. Be prepared to rent beach equipment and purchase towels as needed.
- Kathryn (9/5): Huge one bedroom. Could Easily accommodate 4. - Definitely spring for the one bedroom it has a wrap around deck and is about 4 times the size of the studio and includes a kitchen. I was lucky enough to have an ocean view it was amazing. Close to great walking trails. Windows and deck needed a little work but they are set to remodel this year. The hot tub was out of order during my stay.

- Marizol (10/5): -
- Jeffrey (7/5): - Clean and well kept Location of room was by the road snd noisy
- Farida (10/5): -
- Caroline (9/5): Bon établissement - L’appartement était très spacieux Manque d’insonorisation entre les appartements.on entendait les voisins parler.
- molly (5/5): - Location was great. Poll access was great. The room was very dated (I know renovations are imminent). But there were many things that were just barely functional - the bathroom sliding door to the outside had to be picked up to be locked, etc.
The floors were dirty. The curtains were stained and moldy. The living room furnishings were very uncomfortable.
If we hadn't gotten such a good deal on it, I would be mad. But I figured there had to be a catch and we were very last minute booking.

- Cloé (10/5): Very good experience - The people were very nice and kind. The club is good with different facilities we really enjoyed our stay ! Nothing
- Jing (10/5): A vey nice stay at Club Wyndham in Princevile , Kauai ! - Beautiful facility, clean rooms, nice pool. And, staff is very helpful !
- SPDGuy (8/5): Very nice stay in Princeville. - The grounds were well maintained. The one bedroom unit was very large. The extra large deck offered a 180 degree view. A little outdated but renovations are planned.
- Paige (5/5): Simply not worth the price. Lackluster and outdated. No communication that pool would not be available for our stay. - Location and landscaping were great. Outdated room which smelled old. Indifferent and unfriendly front desk staff. Main pool was broken, though it was set to be fixed during our stay, it never was. Supplemental pool was small and overcrowded.
- Paolino Paolino (9/5): Nel cuore di Princeville - Appartamento ampio dotazioni molto buone e raffinate. Personale disponibile.location fantastica . Non c’è animazione
- Sonja (4/5): Overall it was Meh- - Check in was easy, however I could have done without the sales pitch. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Maybe coffee in the lobby could be available all day. They're just pods for heaven sake. we were downgraded to a studio-the kitchen was unusable, too small to use for any meals, the hair dryer was gross-the view was just OK but we had to sit out by the front door. The staff was great. We expected more but understand it's an older condo - the laundry room needs to be cleaner-it was icky. Our pool was under construction and could not use. Im glad we only stayed there for 4 nights. The trek to the beach.....wholly moley! Dangerous terrain

- charlespI3098YN (10/5): Great Resort and Location! - We arrived early and Isabelle was amazing! She was friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, and got us right into our room! Then we saw our room, WOW! It was HUGE, overlooked the pool, and had a wrap around deck that was 80 feet long with three sliding glass doors. AMAZING! Any time we texted the desk for something, it was delivered in less than an hour. In unit washer and dryer a huge bonus! Easy 10 out of 10!
- Peter (8/5): a good option in princeville - nice property the main pool was closed for renovations
free mai tais on friday night parking can be limited
checkin is rather late at 4 pm
no aircon though we didn't need it
- Valerie (10/5): -

- Wander36860154695 (4/5): Wyndham hotel with no air conditioning - This hotel is a time share resort. Once you check in they send you to chat with concierge and he says he will give you free gift to set up meeting. Don’t do it!!!
Our room was a time warp to 2001. Furniture and carpet so outdated and then you wonder how clean this place is. This place is dirty, we used alcohol wipes and we only cleaned what we touch. We had small suite and they actually had in the room a hot plate to cook food…
Biggest issue!! No air conditioning, they gave us an extra fan. I thought I was at Motel 6!
They are nice people but not worth the price
- mwhitneyolsen (10/5): At the end of a beautiful week! - We had an amazing week staying here. The unit was huge and clean, and Sara(h?) made our visit so warm and welcoming all week, always checking on us as we walked in and asking how she could help. Highly recommend this property!
- Jimvogt (10/5): Much better than expected - Having read other reviews, we were apprehensive, but were very pleasantly surprised with the resort. We were a party of 14 (7 adults, 7 kids) and the resort accommodated us in 4 units near each other, however they were the ones nearest the highway intersection. Three of the units had A/C, and even the one without was not uncomfortable. The units are spacious and well maintained. We had a problem with our TV and maintenance came quickly to exchange the cable box. All 14 of us had a delightful stay and would gladly return.
- Guest (3/5): Not a relaxing stay. Constant car noises and chicken clucking whole night. Pool closed. - Location was closer to places we wanted to visit. Good kitchen appliances. Couldn’t sleep whole night because of the car sounds as the room was besides the main road and constant clucking (chicken sounds)from 2am to 8am. Swimming pool was closed and we weren’t informed before the stay.
- Jami (8/5): -
- MF2403 (6/5): Sub par - The room was tiny. The cook top did not work, the TV did not work, the refrigerator was not turned on, and we had food that needed refrigeration. It took a long time for it to get cold. The balcony had dry rot and mold. The staff was very responsive and helpful. We could have done without the hard sell to attend a sales presentation, which we wisely declined.
- Sven (9/5): -
- Justine (10/5): Super à refaire !! - Top Rien
- Kristin (10/5): -
- ChrisReyes (10/5): Very spacious 2 bedroom - We had a very nice view of the golf course & ocean beyond. The unit was quite spacious. Water pressure in the shower was poor. Mattress was very uncomfortable.
- Kleyla (4/5): -
- Trail677979 (8/5): RCI Exchange Ka Eo Kai - Great resort in Great Location.
Staff needs to step up their game
Housekeeping needs to clean units better.
- jpstringer (10/5): Club Wyndham Ka'eo Kai Resort - I highly recommend this resort. October is great time to visit Kauai, HI..The resorts rooms are very comfortable and well equiped in the kitichen. The resort does not have AC, but they have ceiling fans. Each unit has plenty of windows and sliders plus a nice lania. October is a rainy month for Kauai, it rain every night and stopped by 8am.
The resort people were friendly and ready to help with advice for excursion.
You need to rent a car, as the resort is on the north side of the island, with limted resturants and good beachs. Strongly suggest stopping at the Safeway grocery store stock up on esentials. Food is very expensive, but Safeway is reasonablly priced.
All the good beaches are on the east and southeren side of the island. Recommend Lydgate Beach Park and Poipu Beaches.
- Săulean (10/5): -
- Jerry (10/5): Awesome room and Awesome views!! - They could have gave us any room but they gave us one on ground floor and the surrounding deck had a view of golf course that went to the ocean and you were within 30 ft of swimming pool. It had a full kitchen, living room, dining room and 2 beds. It was AWESOME
Room was 29A Someone from the golf course said we couldn’t walk down the path we were walking and we weren’t causing anyone a problem walking on the path
- LovesHiltonHead (8/5): Very nice - Unit was far from many of the things we wanted to see. Ot air conditioned but had fans. Had a large fan which drowned out the sound of roosters rowing all night. Bathtub & sliding glass doors need replacing, otherwise the unit was very nice. The 2BR unit was very spacious.
- Wanderer179597 (8/5): North shore R&R! - We had a pleasant stay at this resort. After looking at previous reviews did not know what to expect however was pleasantly surprised with the overall condition and maintenance of our unit and the grounds. Bed was super comfy plenty of space to move around. Although no a/c we made the most of the breeze through the windows and the ceiling fans. Pool area beautiful. We enjoyed our peaceful week here even with the chickens 😉
- feburr2025 (4/5): No AC - Please be advised that this resort is AC-free. Upon arrival, the unit was very hot, stuffy, and uncomfortable with only a ceiling fan. The staff offered a portable fan, which was a box fan. My husband and I spent the least amount of time in the room as possible.
- weili (10/5): - Everything is perfect except the fan, the chain that controls the fan in all rooms are rusty and not easy to change the speed. Maybe with an AC is even better.
- Steven (6/5): - Nice grounds, spacious accommodations, but the lack of air conditioning was a big drawback and the bed linens stunk.
- 58reneec (8/5): Very nice, but no air conditioning - I had a studio, which was enough for me since I was traveling solo. Was good for using as my base to explore the island. The view was beautiful, a golf course with the ocean in the background. The bed was very comfortable and had a small refrigerator, microwave, hot plate with a small pot and frying pan, dishes and silverware.Cleaning service was not provided unless asked for and there is no air conditioning. These 2 reasons are why I didn't give a 5 rating.
- Jill Cancun (10/5): Top notch suites with the comfort of home. - Our suite had all the amenities needed to feel right at home. Peaceful location and close to the supermarket and little shops. Would have loved it more if there was beach access. You have to drive to a public beach for access.
- amychandler172025 (4/5): Zero privacy and felt like we were in a fishbowl. - Cleaning staff do not pay attention to the fine details of a room. They’re in there to wipe down and sweep and make a bed. Lightbulbs are out, soap, and shampoo bottles empty after two days of use, and the carpet was very stiff and old. Shower smelt very badly of mold.
- David (9/5): -
- 58marcyr (6/5): Week at Wyndham Ka Eo Kai - We have been coming here for years. The resort is on beautiful grounds with a lovely pool and view of Pacific Ocean. Our unit had threadbare curtains. It needs to have an upgrade. The amenities used to be nicer. They used to have juice and coffee in the lobby all day. Now they have a Keurig for a couple of hours. Also, they limit you to two beach chairs. They also no longer have midweek maid service. They say it is because business is.booming and they cannot get help. There is a Mai tai night, but the Mai tais did not have the usual juice. It was some tasteless brown concoction. I hope they make improvements in the services provided.
- Kuulei (4/5): - I was really disappointed with the room that I got. When I booked the reservation it was for a one bedroom with a full kitchen (that I really needed for the time staying there) and it had a balcony with a living room space. But when I checked in I got an economy room which did not do any justice for me. With the amount I got charged for it was not worth it. Now I go back on the booking to see the difference in price it’s about $600 difference for a one bedroom.
- Carlene (10/5): Wonderful - It’s was clean It was kinda dirty
- Yvonne (8/5): Tiptop!
- Linda (8/5): A great place to shelter during the tsunami warning. It felt safe. Great ocean views. Great walk paths. Big condo, spaci - We were moved to another location at the resort: Shearwater. Shearwater was more small scale and the views of the ocean were better. Our condo was right near the pool, so lots of noise from the pool and other guests. Pool did close at around 9 pm.
- Reptileseven (10/5): Nice stay in Kauai with kids - Stayed in the lower level building 9 which has the pool right outside. This was a 2bed/2bath and took up entire lower level. Thought room was clean and pretty large. Second bedroom room and bath were much smaller than the primary. Only downside there is NO AC at this property. Breeze was nice but not always enough. Especially, when sun hits the unit it's gets hot inside. Building 9 is a bit on the louder side with the cars and people walking by all day and evening. Was great to have a pool right out the door for a quick dip. No sales pitch after I said no the first time. As Wyndham owners we were allowed to use the gym, borrow beach stuff, & get food from the food trucks at the Wyndham Bali Hai Villas but not allowed in any pool. Didn't really make much sense to us. We used our condo as a home base to explore the island and using the sister resorts pool didn't matter much to us. This property is getting the rooms upgraded and there was note when that was going to happen. The paint, curtains, and mattresses are slated to get changed. Then later on the bathtubs. The primary room tub needed a upgrade as it looked dated and had cracks.
- Moises (8/5): - Beautiful unt
- J6452JSmonicas (10/5): Three generation family time. + - We loved this place. The grounds were beautiful. The size of the two bedroom, 2 bath unit was perfect. The large wrap around balcony was terrific. We mostly cook in, and the kitchen supplies were just right. The only thing that might help is for the resort to provide a few more floor fans. There is no AC and the units do have ceiling fans which help. One of the reviews mentioned no security. Quiet hour is 10:00pm and people at 11:30pm were extremely noisy which we did reach security and within minutes they arrived and reminded them that some people want quiet at that time of night.
We had no issues at all and would return yearly if possible.
- Navigate716065 (2/5): DO NOT stay here - You are going to want to Read THIS review!!! We got here to to Club Wyndham on a Thursday excited and ready to explore the piece of heaven on earth. Little did my sister and I know what lied ahead. We got rental for the 6 days we’d be here. We quickly found out that parking is horrible on this property. Nevertheless we were ok with that. Conceriege was awesome(Brooke). We checked in and seen we were really close to the pool and office, as well as on the first floor. Which was nice as there are NO AIR CONDITIONERS in units. We woke the next day and our one bedroom pull out couch was stuck and would not retract. I texted the number to the front desk for convenience and I'm happy I did because of the events to follow. My sister went to the pool and I stayed behind to wait for the maintenance man and fresh towels. Before she left she removed her towel and wallet from the bed and placed it on the counter next to the bed. I said have fun and she left. My time slot was 8:30-9am. A maintenance man who was older and wear glasses arrived around 10:20a. He said he would fix the bed and I stood there for about 20 to 30 seconds watching him, until I looked at the and realized we would be late for a scheduled Kayaking excursion. So I went in my room to gather my things and I heard my front door open, I thought it was my sister so I got up, instead the older gentleman with glasses opened the door for a very young maintenance man. I found that odd and I asked if everything was ok. He said yes he was helping him. I said ok. Within 4 mins they were leaving. i asked if everything was ok and they smiled and said yes. Sister came in and we left out, she then realized her wallet was on the counter when she went to pay. We went right back to the room to get it. But guess what?. IT WAS GONE!! HER PASSPORT, HER ID, HER CREDIT AND DEBIT CARDS. We looked everywhere in the room although we knew it was the one of the men in the room. We notified the manager on grounds and we called the police. The first manager, a gentleman named Michela was nice and helpful to try and rectify the situation. The next morning there was a different manager named Lilly who unsympathetic and unhelpful to our situation. She sided with the workers saying we had no proof, she wouldnt give us the maintenance men names on their name tags because she stated that there priority was to protect their employees. I said well what about us a customers who pay into this ownership monthly. But she didn't care. It was very disheartening. She then told me NOT to contact them about the matter anymore and to speak to the police. It was heartbreaking. We felt unsafe onowning they could enter our room whenever they wanted byt we could not when know their names. The general manager of this property(Kanani) agreed with Lilly and how she handled us and the situation. Which was shocking! So we decided to cut our vacation short. We had to pay to change our flights, over $400 and lost money with our rental as we returned it early and refunds are discretionary. She has to bow buy a new passport and ID, go through extra security to get home. Yet we were treated like the suspects. Maybe it was the color of our skin or maybe Lilly was involved with stealing items from people. i don't know. But the proof we had was that within hours someone used her card in an online purchase in ARIZONA!!! While we were sitting at Club Wyndham in Hawaii. I'd suggest stay somewhere else and being treated better. PLEASE! And this has happened before here!!!
- Marianne (10/5): - Fantastiske seng. Rigtig god plads. Vi fik gratis opgradering til en lejlighed med havudsigt.
- Oliver (7/5): -
- Leillynne (10/5): Amazing! Hana Hou! - Location of room 23B. I want that room again! The parking! Although it did work out and it was fine. Just need to walk a bit if you don't get one close
- debbrar2016 (10/5): Awesome vacation - The resort was great our room was perfect, we had a two bedroom two bath unit it was one of the best places we have stayed at.
- triciab391 (4/5): Horrible customer service!! - We played at the beach and arrived at the accommodations at 4 o’clock. Our check in time. They told us our room was not ready and we had to wait until 5 o’clock to finally get in. We went to bed around 10:30, at 11:30 we heard loud screaming and partying next-door. We called the office to see if they could help with the noise and they told us they had no securityto come do that. My husband asked if he should take care of it and they said yes. Unacceptable! We took care of the noise by asking our neighbors to quiet down. We were again woken up at 1 am. The only thing they offered is late checkout. In addition to this the day of checkout they were going to be fumigating so we were to be out of our room between 11-2 while they sprayed. Also we couldn’t come in our room for 2 hours after the treatment. This is not a place to stay if you do not have to! We loved the area and all the activities around us.
- Terrie (8/5): - Could use a room remodel
- 451marlysg (10/5): We traveled to Kauai, Hawaii for our son's wedding. - It was better than I expected. The staff did everything to make us feel comfortable.
Tha lanai was wonderful. Very cozy. We stayed in a handicapped accessible studio because I have feet issues. I loved it. We will dtay there again if we go back.
- Constance (1/5): Don’t trust these people. - We rented at Ka Eo Kai, months before our arrival date. However, when we got tgere, we were told that the units were overbooked and we were going to be switched were switched to another complex. The staff smiled at us and assured us it would be an “upgrade.” It was a DOWNGRADE. We did not like the Shearwater. I did not like finding roaches in the kitchen, louvered doors that stuck, the very small pool, (especially compared to the pics of the Ka Eo Kai) and Wi-Fi and phone service in the unit were non-existent. We had to go to the clubhouse to get cell service. However, The clubhouse didn’t open at 8 am as posted on the door, and it was not open on Sunday at all. No notice of that anywhere.). When we had to call a tow truck to pick up the rental car they needed an address. There was no address on the clubhouse or the buildings. I will NEVER book another Wyndham property! We did NOT want to be switched. Had we known you were overbooked when or within a month of booking, we would have cancelled and found another place to stay. We did NOT appreciate getting shoved into the Shearwater. That was a very BAD management practice. To be told we were getting an upgrade that turned out to be a “downgrade” was deceitful. You all had plenty of time to notify us of the change and allow us to make a decision if we wanted to stay at tge Shearwater. We did not like the roaches in the kitchen, the small pool, the doors that stuck, the noise of neighbors around and above us (poor insulation) the older buildings that had not been cared for well, the poor parking, the lack of an address posted on the clubhouse or the buildings, the inability of staff to open and close the clubhouse according to the sign on the door.
- Ido (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (10/5): - Comfortable, beautiful, friendly, quiet, everything we wanted in a relaxed family vacation.
- Barbara (4/5): - Everything was great except for the roaches. The sprayed the exterior but with my health condition they couldn’t do inside. I will find somewhere else to stay on our next visit.
- Kawena (10/5): - Beautiful property and large living space it could use some ac though
- Kimberly (9/5): Nice stay, lovely location - Nice check in and customer service.
- Marie Ann (4/5): - I liked the tub in the room
- JimSail (10/5): Great place - They gave us what we requested — a unit with a good view of the ocean. We love how the unit is designed with slatted windows so the Trade Winds provide cool ventilation with only the sound of the wind. And ceiling fans were there to supplement the wind. The staff was friendly and helpful. The grill near the waterfall pool worked well and there was a workout room at a nearby location you can walk to.
We’d recommend nearby Anini Beach for swimming or snorkeling. It’s reef make it a safer beach than most. But be aware that to the left of the boat ramp large motor boats use an unmarked channel that parallels the shore. And there is no adequate notice to folks going there to swim.
- Jessica (10/5): - Best stay and perfect location will stay again
- Nicholas (8/5): Large convenient place with a few issues with the original room. - Large unit plenty of room for our group of 6. Great location. The chickens are cute and fun. Had some issues with our room and were offered a different room which was an undertaking late at night with six people. Feel like this could have been avoided with an inspection of our room before we stayed. Also power went out a few different times (it definitely was not the resorts fault).
- mikeandgrace123 (10/5): Great Vacation Hideaway - Perfect resort for exploring the Island. Resort concierge was well experienced and helpful at booking deals all over Kauai.
- Wheng (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tin (10/5): - The unit has large open kitchen and dining area. And all cooking utensils which is convenient and feel at home.
- Michael (10/5): - Nice place to stay with beautiful properties
- Kris (10/5): Beautiful suite. Excellent base for hiking Kalalau Trail along Nāpali Coast - Beautiful suite with fully appointed kitchen and comfortable beds. Facility included outdoor pools and a large gym. Excellent base for hiking near-by Kalalau Trail.
FYI, Global Scheduling (?) parent company texted us on arrival that they were not able to accomodate our original stay at the Club Wyndham Ka Eo Kai and rescheduled us into the Club Wyndham Bally Hai, which is located across the street. I was very pleased with how this was handled, with excellent communication via text & phone. In fact, I think we ended up with an up-grade! Nothing, really. Our stay was very pleasant
- Robert (10/5): - Lovely and peaceful. Well appointed. Great pool. Comfortable. Usable and well-stocked kitchenettenin the studio!
- Donna (10/5): - Beautiful condo, very large and comfortable. The grounds and the pool are all amazing. There is a great walking running trail across the street
- Darrell (10/5): - Beautiful property and friendly staff. Lots of roosters.
- Jazmin (7/5): The property is nice, the staff is terrible - The property is very nice BIG ISSUE with the concierge department:
There should have provided a "Welcome package" upon arrival, they did only gave it to us on the last day of our stay so there was a lot of information we missed. The lady at the concierge explained me (during our last day) that if I assist to a meeting with the management in order to get a membership with Wyndham I would qualify for some benefits in the future. I asked what was needed from me in order to do it and she said only my ID, then I advised I would like to participate and become a member. I explained this to my family and that I won't go to our plans of that day because of the meeting and they left without me, when I arrived at the meeting the Manager told me I am not able to join because my fiancee is not there (?) I asked what is the issue, if I am single I can participate but since my fiancee is not there with me I cannot?? They said is "company policy" and only apologize and suggested to reschedule, again, we were on our last day.
I lost the possibility of becoming a member and I lost a full day of plans with my family because they were already gone.
Terrible customer service. It is a shame because the property is very nice.

- northofsydney (4/5): This place has seen better days - Oh, where to start - let’s try check in
I have stayed in way over a thousand hotels and this was one of the worst experiences if not the single worst - Was told I was WAAAYY to early for my 4pm check in - that was at 3.50pm and was told to take a seat. Was invited to talk delightful Concierge person and time is now well after 4pm but was told to take a seat (again) After sitting there for a while it was suggested we go up to the shops to buy provisions which we did and arrived back well after 5pm - - -Long story short, Receptionist who was bright and bubbly when we arrived now looked and treated us as the worst day of her life and eventually we were told our room was ready at 6.30. As we had purchased food that needed refrigeration, and we had been travelling all day we weren’t happy and were told (in fact promised) the manager will get in touch with us. - Well, after this is our 7th and last night here, still hasn’t happened.
As for the apartment - Very nice in part
The 2 bedroom had views to die for over the Golf Course and Ocean which was excellent and huge in size - Big lounge, kitchen and bathrooms, So that was excellent BUT……
Why the main bedroom had 2 small doubles rather than a large bed I don’t understand.
We were on the middle level (floor above and below us) and it felt like some one was going to come through the floor boards as every step they took was loud and when the constant movement of furniture, this was just crazy.
I haven’t even bothered to tell them about a previous tenant Woman’s Bra that was left right beside the bed - GO FIGURE (and yes, took a photo)
Yes, agree with another comment about Street noice as it was also loud.
Unfortunately we needed the Maintenance person to come and fix things for us but still couldn’t get coffee machine to work and our balcony had seen better days as one end was blocked off. (Took plenty of photos)
The Pool was also closed for a few days and no staff member could tell me why.
I would Not recommend nor return to this property as it has seen better days.
- deette (6/5): - I didn’t care for the staff I was on a trip with my granddaughter they called me constantly. My room and cell phone every day sometimes twice daily
- Brigitta (6/5): - Pool opens at 8Am, which is late in my opinion to an early bird.
No dining in the property.
Without car impossible to get around.
Lily pond full of frogs, making terrible noise all night, my room was next to the pond.
Keep getting annoying phone calls from Wyndham after my stay.
Otherwise staff was nice and kind, overall clean room, and pool really nice.
- Amanda (6/5): - The room was tiny, also the air conditioner was not functional and they didnt let us know ahead of time. They also supplied us with 2 towels expecting them to last 5 days for 2 adults.
- Verified traveler (6/5): No parking and terrible WiFi - It’s a beautiful campus, but there is no parking. And I love the fresh breeze with the windows, but that means you can hear every noise from every unit. There are no windows, just plastic blinds. Wonderful Rainfall will wake you up bc of hitting the leaves.
And WiFi is only 4.87 Mbps.
- Dimitri (6/5): Nice but privacy could be better - Good location in the North of Kauai with a lot of activities possible. But it’s difficult to find a parking if you are coming back after 8pm (and it’s not possible to park outside of the property). And the studio we had was really noisy: you really think you are leaving with people next door. They made the strange choice to put an open door between the room and the bathroom, really not convenient when you are going to the toilet…
- Erin (4/5): - For most people Hawaii is a Dream Trip. It is with that description; one wants the accommodation to be clean, affordable and exemplary.
We were placed on the Southeast Corner of the property next to the busy road. The amount of traffic and noise at this unit was next level. (Cars, Motorbikes etc..) Upon bringing this to the hotels attention, we were told, the only unit we could move to was near the present room, but that it did not have Air Conditioning. (didn't bother moving) After unpacking all of our items including food, we found an infestation of Ants in the common food prep area. The redress to this was to send out a crew and spray the ants in the area which our food was prepared. Our kids found the pool to be cold, despite being active and moving throughout the time in it. While it is Hawaii, an amiable temperature is still needed for enjoyment. While a request for compensation was made to the manager, I only received a call back from the front desk saying they had sprayed for Ants. I checked my Visa bill when I got home and saw a credit of $300, but unfortunately it was only the "hold back" to book the room which fell off. At 300 USD a night, I can say I won't be back or talk highly of the place. Disappointed
- Tricia (7/5): Quiet, tranquil place with a beautiful amenities and large living space. - I loved the style of suite.
Large, spacious with a big tub to use after a rainy day.
The grounds, pool and tennis court were emaculate. Its location was quiet and better for couples without kids.
It was a drive to go anywhere for a drink or food which at times can be challenging with young kids.
- Trevor (8/5): Nice location and resort - Property was nice, pool area well kept. Our room was a small studio with no AC, so could of used a bit more space and cooling for sleeping at night. Good beaches nearby. Not too many restaurants in the area so a kitchen is nice.
- Hiller (7/5): Good -
- Alexandra (7/5): Good - We had a 1bdrm apartment and the room was huge! There was plenty of room to spread out, the kitchen was well equipped, it was really convenient having laundry at the end of our trip. The location was convenient to Hanalei and housekeeping was responsive to our requests. The complex as a whole is a little tired-looking and not well maintained. As an example: we used the vacuum cleaner provided to clean out the dryer lint catch so our clothes would actually dry. Guests should not need to perform routine maintenance on the rooms in order for them to be usable. The other negative is that there was no AC, and while the louvred windows and screens were adequate for allowing the trade winds to keep the room cool during the day, when we closed them at night (for privacy, security, and quiet) the bedroom was on the hot side.
- Jose Belardo (2/5): - Please refund our money we didn’t even stay here. Will be contacting back in the morning
- VastVoyager1661 (10/5): Beautiful Resort - Beautiful resort not far from the beach. I read reviews of a lot of road noise but I didn't feel like we had too much of an issue, a couple cars that sped through were a little loud but nothing like city traffic. My noise complaint is the roosters lol, thank god I brought ear plugs because they will wake you up every morning otherwise. Staff was so nice and gave us liquid creamer cups so we didn't have to buy any and they we very friendly and helpful anytime we came to the office. I have had terrible Wyndham experiences before but this location helped redeem them, it was my best Wyndham experience by far!
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Charla Marie (8/5): - Excellent view of the ocean-next to the golf course. Kicked off the walkway and badgered by golf attendant even though it was next to our room and we were viewing the sunrise! Late
flight caused late checkin. Staff not available for checkin and security had to be called which was not super helpful to find the room. Parking was challenging and service was acceptable-nothing special.
- Q7448UNkims (8/5): 98 out of a 100 - Recommend if you are all about clean, fresh air (no A/C, ceiling fans). If you like to walk, it's 15 mins with mostly sidewalks to Princeville shopping center (unlit, if after sunset). Note: dining rolls up by 8pm. Recommend buying a few groceries at Kapa'a Safeway on way to Princeville from airport, as no breakfast provided on site (unit we rented had kitchenette, plus balcony with bistro set ). If you want to order in or dine out pizza, do it before 6pm or the nearby place (Hideaway Pizza Pub) runs out of supplies to make pies. Unit also had it's own washer/dryer - handy as we travel light, prefer to wash over haul. Clean, gorgeous views, mostly peaceful, and away from south end crowds. Next to large cliffside golf course with extensive walk/jog paved trails - marked private, though guests use after golf hours for sunsets and stargazing, some sunrise joggers. Swimming pool on site, beaches within 10 mins drive - too far to walk (see Anini and Hanalei beach reviews). Be prepared to mostly park a couple of buildings away from your unit. Given the fresh air open windows situation, plus little insulation between units, our only complaint was clueless guests disregarding posted quiet time hours (10pm to 8am). Note: roosters and birds are prevalent on Kauai - I found it charming; hubby preferred ear plugs per their early morning sunrise greetings.
- Adrian (10/5): Amazing apartment in the heart of Princeville. Very close to Hanalei Beach (7 minutes car ride). - To be honest we didn't realize we booked a whole apartment. It was a huge apartment for only two people with an amazing view on to the gold court and the sea. We also liked the pool and whirlpool.
- Judy (10/5): Princeville doesn't dissapoint - The room was so spacious and had a wrap around deck. A pool was nearby and the sound of the waterfall stream was wonderful. The grounds were immaculate and the neighborhood definitely upscale. The TV was hard to figure out the guide and we couldn't figure out how to use our Netflix acct. The irritating daily texts about us checking in and out were annoying. Apparently a glitch on the booking end.
