• Patricia (9/5): A gold nugget in the middle of nowhere. - The motel was large, clean and well equipped. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, telling me about our proposed trip the next day, as well as local information which I appreciated. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great, we were pleasantly surprised with pretty much everything. The only thing I would say about this motel is that the couch in our unit was extremely uncomfortable. Not only was it very low, but also felt that the springs were damaged thus making it very difficult for me as an older lady to get off it the one time I sat on it. I feel a bit mean saying this when everything else was spot on , I feel that this is something that needs to be fixed.

• Annette (8/5): Convenient stay to explore the region and drive to Cape Regina - Location close to the wharf and across the road from a fantastic Pukenui Pacific cafe/bar which is also a place to get proper meals for breakfast through to dinner was great. There was a 4 square supermarket and liquor shop all in the same location. For anyone staying in Pukenui I highly recommend eating at the cafe. The shower was hot and easy to check in and out The room was dated and there is some road noise but we would stay there again to easily access the cafe

Really awesome, accommodates for fishing aswell with a freezer for bait and fish. Also area to clean and scale fish. Can’t say there was anything I didn’t like

A little old and out dated, but the service, cleanliness and harbour views were 10/10 so it didn’t bother us. The wifi is a little slow and reception is also quite bad but we had plenty to do.

Both people at reception gave us great tips, one of things to see in the area and other of the best route to use heading south to our next stop. The location was ideal, near groceries, great little food stops and local sights. All was good.

• Wilfred (9/5): - We needed to check in early which was no problem having advised I advance. Noisy (logging) traffic from early hours, and vehicles using the toilets at the wharf as well as we were in room 9, but it meant we were up at 5.30 and at Cape Reinga before 8.0am!

• Maywen (10/5): - Location was fantastic.The information provided by the staff was accurate and good, The Wi-Fi I the whole area is slow . So this is not the lodges fault. The internet providers have not given priority to this remote area.
• Peter (9/5): - Sehr ordentlich und sauber Küche super, BBQ super Zum Motel gehört ein wunderschöner Rasen auf einer Klippe. Fantastischer Ausblick. Man kann dort frühstücken..... Teilweise etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Der Hgw1 auf der anderen Seite des Motels kann in der Nacht laut sein.

• Adam (5/5): It was a nice location but an uncomfortable room - It was a nice standard room and a nice location. The heating in the room was very poor. It was winter and all we had was a little fan heater. It was noisy to keep on through the night and when we turned it off the room got very cold. What made it worse was my wife was with me and she feels the cold.

• Yekta (10/5): - Die Lodge hat eine richtig tolle Lage. Der Ausblick auf das Wasser ist wunderschön. Auf der anderen Seite der Straße ist ein kleiner Supermarkt (etwas teurer) und eine Möglichkeit sich essen zu holen. Wir haben uns da gerne das Essen besorgt. Von Pukenui aus kann man in 1h mit dem Auto Cape Reinga erreichen. Richtung Süden ist der MaiTai Beach 1h entfernt (sehr empfehlenswert) sowie der Puwheke Beach (ebenfalls empfehlenswert). Der 90 miles Beach ist nur 10 min mit den Auto entfernt. Unbedingt beim Container Cafe vorbeischauen. Sehr leckeres 🍦

• Warrick (8/5): Nice accommodation - Comfortable size. Looks like kitchen had been recently renovated and was well equipped for cooking. Great location being only 1 hour to Cape Reinga and Te Paki sand dunes. Shop and pub across the road and right next to wharf. Nothing really.

• Adelaide (10/5): 1st Motel ever,that I couldn't FAULT 💯 .My words speak the TRUTH 💯 - My sister and I were greeted with a warm friendly. welcome from the owner,he also mentioned,A Cafe,Bar, Takeaway,Dairy across the road also a self service pump⛽station. Our Unit,absolutely clean through out-all windows have mosquito screens fitted, kitchen,lounge,bathroom, bedroom plus bedding(NO STAINS on mattresses and pillows)👍💯.Our unit was tended to (without us having to ask for clean towels or toilet paper👍). Whole complex outside -parking👍, grounds immaculate especially the sea view(stunning). Thank You Pukenui Lodge Motel,Wharf Road, Pukenui 10/10 There is NOTHING NOT TO LIKE
