• Brandonsmith (10/5): Exactly What Our Family Needed — Quiet, Comfortable, and Welcoming - We stayed here for one night with our two young daughters after having a pretty underwhelming experience at another well-known hotel nearby, and the difference was immediate. From the moment we arrived, Andrea at the front desk set the tone. She was warm, accommodating, and spoke excellent English, which made a big difference for us given our limited Spanish. We mentioned needing a quiet room for our kids’ naps, and she thoughtfully found us a great option. She was very transparent that the view wouldn’t be anything special, but it would be quiet — and it was exactly what we needed. Honestly, our kids were perfectly happy looking out at the building next door. The room itself was comfortable, clean overall, and well set up for a family. The blackout shades worked great, the beds were comfortable, and we were all able to rest — which was the priority for us. What really stood out throughout the stay was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was kind, attentive, and welcoming: • The breakfast team was fantastic — constantly refreshing food, greeting guests, and keeping everything running smoothly • Housekeeping staff was friendly and clearly took pride in their work • The doorman was consistently helpful, especially when we had our hands full with kids and luggage • Even at the bar, the service was attentive and handled a difficult guest with professionalism Speaking of breakfast — this was one of the best Hyatt Place breakfasts I’ve had. A great mix of standard options and local dishes like chilaquiles, plus fresh juice options beyond the usual orange juice. It felt thoughtful and well-executed. The only small critique: some of the vertical surfaces in the room (cabinetry, sides of furniture, etc.) had visible splatter marks that looked like they hadn’t been wiped down thoroughly. Nothing major, but worth addressing. Overall, this was one of the best stays I’ve had, especially considering how frequently I travel. Hyatt continues to earn my loyalty, and this property is a big reason why. I would absolutely stay here again.
• Voyage47375828316 (10/5): Business traveller. - Busy street with lots of building going on nearby. But there is in most of Tj to be honest! You are provided with earplugs, but it doesnt always help. Overall staff were great when they notice you. The door staff are very attentive and quick at letting you in. My room was clean and always tidy when I returned from work. There is quite a good choice for breakfast, sometimes too much choice because I never know what to choose!

• marycJ5885HH (10/5): Great Hotel - This is one of our favorite Hyatt's and we have been to so many. What I love about this hotel is that it has everything you need or want. Make a reservation or call them and book a room. Their prices are good and you won't feel ripped off. You will be happy. The rooms are a nice size and kept up. The maid service is great. The staff is super and can guide you if this is your first time to Tijuana. I love the place to eat here. It is just the best. They have traditional Mexican food which is outstanding and they also have great American food. We love their pancakes and eggs. Their tacos are great as is any fish dish. They have bottled water in the room, which is a must. Do not drink tap water anywhere in Tijuana. The location is great. It is within easy walking to many fun spots, including shopping. The rooms are super clean and although it can get loud outside, the inside is quiet and comfortable. It even smells great. You will love it. Have fun.

Only issue was we were reasonably late in one night and even though the website stated the restaurant was open until 10.30 the chef had cleaned down by 9.55 and refused service despite the very helpful bar staff interceding on our behalf. Not sure if the website was incorrect or whatever but had it been known we would have stopped for food on the way back. We use this hotel frequently so we'll find out next time.

However, across the street were the most excellent restaurants! The food at the hotel was delicious and quick room service with a smile. Transportation was provided which gave of ease of mind and the hotel was spotless and extremely comfortable.

Staff is always willing to help answer any questions. The breakfast cook is awesome! The Hyatt TJ is conveniently located to nice restaurants in a mall and a short uber ride to Tacos El Franc and many other taco shops.

• Steven (10/5): - This was a 2 night stay for my wife and I. This was our first time staying at Hyatt Place. The hotel is immaculate. So clean and comfortable. The rooms are very nice, spacious with sofa, coffee maker and refrigerator. The only problem was they were having elevator issues. We were on the top 7th floor and it was necessary one time to walk all the way up to our floor in the stairwell. That is hard for us as we are seniors. The free breakfast is great. One particular receptionist was particularly helpful after we checked in to help me with logging on to the WiFi. There were some WiFi issues and she was very patient and helpful to help get on WiFi as my job depends on it. I cannot remember her name. Great hotel and we will stay there again.
• Susana (4/5): Me hecharon mentiras al cobrarme el deposito de la habitacion 4000 mas de lo que dijieron - El desayno fue bastante bueno, tienen un servicio de calidad y limpieza en el desayuno, tenian de todo, las habitaciones muy amplias literal como estaba en la foto era la habitacion , muy bonita no me gusto para nada que me comentaran que se dejaba un deposito de 1000(bien), y al momento de revisar mi estado de cuenta me retuvieron 5000 (pesimo), me hizo enojar bastante porque no tiene porque disponer de mi dinero sin mi consetimiento y menos hechar mentiras y al momento pedir una explicacion me dijieron que era por que fuimos 4 personas y que era lo que salia el desayuno.... Algo bastante absurdo para mi, ya que para eso escogi ese lugar con el desayuno gratis incluido, y si me querian cobrar 5000 o mas tenian que verme dicho primero , nadie tiene el derecho de disponer de mi dinero ya sea 1 peso o mas.

El cuarto especifica sofá cama, sin embargo es solo sofá y era lo unico que a nuestro parecer estaba algo sucio.

Comfortable rooms but was not aware of the huge construction across the street. So much noise. So much that they have ear plugs available in the bathroom. Just not a restful night. The restrooms need to be updated no fans for circulation, the water pressure in the shower is not good and the showers are very outdated and I could hear the plumbing for the other rooms. As well the buffet needs a better selection of meat proteins and way better coffee as well.

The absolute highlight of the trip was the breakfast spread — fresh, varied, and way better than the typical hotel fare. From local options to classic favorites, everything was well-prepared and delicious. It was the perfect way to start each day. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable, with everything you need for a short or extended stay. However, it’s worth noting that you can hear some traffic noise and nearby construction, especially during the day. Not a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind if you're a light sleeper. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is convenient for getting around the city. I’d definitely consider staying here again, especially for that breakfast!
