• Yo (10/5): We would stay there again! - We weren't expecting too much at first because the building looked pretty typical in the pictures, but this place pleasantly surprised us. All of the staff were exceptionally polite and friendly throughout our stay. The room was extremely clean, honestly one of the cleanest hotels we’ve stayed in. I usually bring my own sheets and pillowcases when traveling because I’m picky about cleanliness, but we actually saw a staff member changing all the bedding, which made us feel much more comfortable. The view from the second floor overlooking the hills and prairie was also really nice and relaxing. Another plus was having several restaurants within walking distance. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely consider staying here again. We can't think of anything. The price was a little higher than we wanted to pay, but it was comparable to the similar hotels in the area. Honestly, this place was worth our money.

• Lori (9/5): - I usually sleep horribly the first night at a hotel but I got the best sleep I ever have. Aside from the neighbor showering in the middle of the night and a little road noise, it was great. Just a little noise from the road but it didn't bother me once I went to sleep

• Lillian (5/5): Unpleasant surprise - We have stayed here before because we like the location At first the TV wasn’t working but someone came by and got it working but then we found mouse poop underneath the pillows. The entrance door had a huge gap underneath it letting mice and cold air in. We were moved to a different room but can’t help but fear they might’ve just vacuumed the poop and rented the room out to someone else. We don’t know this for sure but now don’t plan on returning to this place for that reason.

• Paielli (9/5): Great - The room was great overall, with one problem (see below). The room was clean and comfortable. I had extensive conversation with the owner, who gave me some valuable tips about the local real estate market, which is what I was there to check out. The shutters did not sufficiently shut out the light at night and the early morning sun, making it harder for me to sleep. This a common problem at most motels. I spoke with the owner, and he said that they intend to install room-darkening drapes over the shutters, which should solve the problem.

Needless to say, the food had to thrown out. Not a happy camper! Second, Pool was under renovation which means the pool is closed. The description stated there was a pol available! This should have been a note for l person like me when looking for places to stay with a swimming pool for my bad back. If I had known, I would have stayed at a different place with a cool pool to relax in. Could not go elsewhere due to monies not able to refund. Will not do that again, next time, will post when I get there. No pool, no monies! Lesson learned?

We asked them to clean the room and they did but why not just move us rooms at that point instead of having us wait even after we were already checked in ?

• Richard (9/5): Very clean room, newly refurbished with a very considerate staff. - The staff was fantastic.. very friendly and accommodating. We arrived mid afternoon... and checked into our room. We were reading before meeting our friends for dinner at 6 pm. The room next to us had some very noisy people and we could easily hear them. When we were leaving for dinner; one person from the room next door was at the trunk of her car. I very calmly said, "I hope that when it is bedtime that you are more quiet." She yelled at me numerous times..."Don't talk to me !!!." When we returned from dinner , we stopped in the office and talked to a staff member, telling him of the noise and the very rude and boisterous woman from next door. I asked if he could move us to another room. At first he said that he would talk to her. I pointed out that she probably would not listen to him and that in retaliation that she would probably get louder. He did move us, thankfully

• Catherine (8/5): Good basic motel - This is a good basic motel. It’s been freshly painted with updated floors moldings. It’s very clean. There’s no elevator. The HVAC is noisy and you can hear the road traffic in front. No breakfast but there’s a good diner within walking distance.
• Roberto (10/5): - I really liked this hotel. First off, the service was great. The room was very clean and modern, even with usb outlets for charging your devices.... AND THEY ACTUALLY WORK. The wifi was decent with a 17 mbps download and 18 mbps upload. Tested with ookla and it said it should support 2160p (4K) streaming. I really liked the regular style drip coffee machine. The area around the hotel felt very safe and quiet even though the highway (CA 20) is right there. Overall I definitely like this hotel and highly recommend it. This place is going to be our go to now while in the clearlake area.

• anysteph (10/5): Super clean, excellent value, and now my regular place in Lake County - Immaculately clean, nice service, excellent value and location, spacious rooms, firm and quality bed, and surprisingly wonderful shower pressure all combined for a terrific stay. While this may be controversial, I was also grateful for a true mini Mr. Coffee maker instead of the dreaded, plastic-tasting Keurig. I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was given Highway 20, but it's not busy at night. I was in the rear on the restaurant side and had absolutely no disturbances or restaurant noise over there. I'm in Lake County every other month for work and am glad to have found my regular place. I reserved my next week-long trip during this one, I enjoyed my stay so much. We teach ranch schools very nearby and will recommend this place to all our visiting students. Happy Garden restaurant next door is a great bar with an excellent local wine list and very good Chinese food, by the way, and I've had a lot of Chinese food all over the world. Give it a try.
