- Chani448 (10/5): Excellent Birthday Weekend! - We booked 3 rooms for two nights, including the 2-bedroom suite, for 8 of us to celebrate a birthday. The Bungalow is now our go-to hotel in Long Branch, a city we visit regularly. The front desk staff were all warm, friendly, and exceedingly helpful and generous. Check-in and all communications before and during our stay were perfect--easy and professional. The lobby is unique, with all kinds of things to see and do, including a small bar and breakfast area, where we sat for complimentary coffee and pastries each morning. The hallways are stunning--serene, immaculate, simple, with tasteful sculptures and paintings. The 2-room suite is beautiful, perfect for a large gathering, with seating for at least 6 at the beautiful glass-topped table and another 8 or so in the lovely, large, very comfortable living room with its fantastic fireplace. Two separate bedrooms make sharing perfect (although the second bathroom is in the main room, not en suite). The other two rooms were also perfect, each with a fireplace and a seating area and small table. The women who cleaned the rooms were very kind and helpful, giving us extra garbage bags and towels as needed for our small party. We could not have been happier here, and we will return!
- Alina (8/5): Amazing stay and fabulous room - just needs a couple tweaks to raise to perfect! - Corner suite is perfect for family, with two king beds and comfortable sheets/duvets! We could even see the ocean. The deep soaking tub is amazing and there was plenty of hot water. Loved the Malin&Goetz products, as well as the bath salts and tub shelf to hold your wine glass. Tons of closet space, a fridge and microwave. Everyone loved the bathrobes! A couple details would make this place amazing: some utensils and plates, enough mugs for a family, a smart tv you could cast to instead of old fashioned cable. There’s a limited continental breakfast but by the time we came downstairs at 9am, there was no more coffee. We tried to ask for more but the attendant disappeared at that point. Resort fee - just why? Build it into the price if you need to but silly to pay for pool etc at sister hotel in the middle of winter.

No Room Service, It sucked actually! Manager, was extremely rude! Never again!. Extremely overpriced....Phone DID NOT WORK.....TV DID NOT WORK, When they got the TV on, it was only Spanish and I don't speak spanish....I asked for a room change and was denied by a Woman who said she was manager....She was terrible and men spirited! Terrible stay! Extremely disappointed in that place! ZERO Rating!

It was close to the beach/ocean aad the Pier Village shops restaurants and stores. The lights went out in our room but the staff instructed us how to flip the master switch to turn them on.

[Lol] The rooms are very clean with great lighting, comfortable beds and, plenty of space to relax. The bathrooms are beautiful with everything you need. The boardwalk and ocean are a minute away. - Leigh (4/5): Most expensive; terrible property. - The most expensive, poorly maintained hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Closet was tiny and the doors were broken. It had a few drawers inside that were also all broken. The fireplace would work for 2-3 minutes and then turn off, but then randomly turn on at all hours of the night even though it had been turned off at the walk switch. You can’t call down to the front desk because they leave the phone off the hook because the 1 person that works there is overwhelmed but all of the guests. You have to go to the lobby to get help. There aren’t any drawers or anywhere to put your things in the room and most of the outlets don’t work. $60 on top of $850 a night for 2 nights to park is outrageous and you can’t even leave the car past checkout without paying more since they need to key fob back. The pool is night, but it’s at the sister hotel that’s a 10-15 minute walk away. I would absolutely never stay here again.

- keric587 (4/5): Not worth the cost! - I was so disappointed with my recent stay at the Bungalow Hotel. The rooms are only air conditioned, the entire hotel is not…it was about 90 plus degrees outside. Two nights in a row power went out in the middle of the night. I had to reset the circuit breaker. The breakfast included was awful, a few scattered pastries and two applies one which was rotten. There was no coffee as it was empty, we waited over 10 minutes for someone to come out and refill the coffee. The front desk has someone there intermittently. Not worth the money they charge!

- sarahbP1613PV (6/5): Loud intersection, no beach access, no pool, expensive - It's unclear who this hotel is for. It's an expensive hotel by the shore, but you can't see the ocean. It's a beach hotel, but you can't access the beach - you have to walk across the entire village to its sister hotel to use their beach chairs and umbrellas. It has large rooms suitable for young families, but it has no pool. It could be a relaxing space, but it's on the world's loudest intersection, where motorcycles and modified cars speed past and rev their engines all night. Our stay was $1,800 for the weekend which is difficult to understand when you factor in all of the above.
- Stacy (8/5): Updated hotel with limited amenities - The main photo in Hotels.com is deceiving. This is a smaller boutique hotel about a block and a half from the photo. It makes the hotel look like a large resort however it is more of a small boutique hotel. Good things about the hotel: Friendly & helpful hotel staff, Updated rooms and common areas. Our room was large with a fireplace and a kitchenette area. Not so great things: Few amenities...No pool, no fitness center, no restaurant. Continential breakfast was sparse. No full length mirror in the room, minimal furniture and art, needs better lighting in the bathrooms. For the money we paid for this hotel we expected more.

- Kelley (10/5): - My husband and I and our baby boy stayed at the bungalow hotel for a weekend. It was really a beautiful hotel with lovely staff. From the minute you walk in you are greeted by staff and the beautiful surfer-retro decor. We booked a suite with a balcony and the room was HUGE. A living room area with kitchenette and fireplace and the bathroom had a tub and a shower. There were also two bathrooms in our room we were completely blown away by the amount of space for such a great price. The hotel is also located in the heart of pier village and even though it was a rainy weekend we enjoyed walking the boardwalk and going out to eat at some of the local restaurants. Definitely looking forward to booking again and recommend this hotel vs any of the bigger more popular hotels in the area.
- oliverasmus (10/5): Great weekend trip accommodations! - We had a wonderful stay celebrating our wedding anniversary with our two dogs! The room was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The location was perfect - close to everything we wanted to explore, including some great dog-friendly spots. Very walkable! Our pups felt right at home, and so did we. The hosts were thoughtful and responsive, making our stay even more special. Highly recommend for anyone traveling with pets or looking for a relaxing getaway!

Alyssa was so warm and friendly making sure we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. She really went out of her way to make us feel at home. She is remarkable! Mark was a great host in the evening sharing his knowledge of the area and where to have a delicious meal. While having a cocktail in the cozy hotel lounge, we met so many wonderful people. I have never felt so welcomed in a hotel! The rooms were spotless, plenty of towels and a minibar that had everything you might need. If you are looking for a 5 star get away, Bungalow is the place!

Our fireplace would not shut off! I know it’s partially me not remembering but the devices for controlling temperature is not straightforward and this is the second time i needed the front desk to make the change. Our milk for morning coffee was spoiled and the breakfast had so few offerings. I understand offseason is rough as you are not always full but it’s the little things that can leave an impression. I love the Bungalow and typically have NO issues. e

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Hotel is very modern and pleasing to the eye. Front desk representatives were all very kind, friendly and willing to go out of their way; especially Steve. We visited in January and the main room was extremely cold. The heating unit wasn't working. However, we only reported this upon checkout since we didn't want to have to deal with it. Also, explained during checkout to add a light in the 2nd bathroom above mirror along with a shelf, and a full length mirror somewhere in the hotel room, along with mirrors in the bedroom. The complimentary cocktail is extra special and very much appreciated. The lobby area is very impressive and has a great feel! Beach is close by and a few minute walk. The Wine Loft is a very nice wine bar to visit.

- debbyp593 (10/5): Awesome - KATIE WAS AWESOME!!!! The room was really nice and very spacious. we needed help with the safe and someone was there in less then 10 minutes. the only problem was the donuts in the morning, they were a little stale. we will definitely come back for another stay

What a great hotel, the rooms were large, modern and clean and the staff was friendly and professional. As soon as we walked into the hotel we were greeted by Kate at the front desk who was welcoming and accommodating and made our stay exceptional. The Bungalo is lucky to have such a great employee. If you are looking for a boutique hotel with great service in the Long Branch area I highly recommend The Bungalo.

You will not regret booking with this hotel. The restaurants in the area are great. The beach is nice. It’s a real nice get away. I can’t wait to go back

- Sean (6/5): Will likely not return. - Location The cost was too expensive for what was provided. There were extra fees (resort and parking). The continental breakfast was average, not what I would expect for the cost of the room. The common area was below our room and very noisy at night.

- kevinbY8921II (2/5): Terrible Stay - The hotel was not worth the $2000 I paid for 3 nights. A royal ripoff. The breakfast was very skimpy for a continental breakfast. Hardly any help from the staff. The so called resort fees were a rip off. It was $ 213 for resort and parking fees. For what. Should ask your guests whether you are going to use the Wave hotel amenities. We got stuck in the elevator not once but twice.The microwave did not work. The room was ok. The couch was dirty with stains. Think twice before you book this hotel. Will definitely not recommend to my friends.

- pearlh315 (8/5): Nice clean and a bit weird! - This is a clean and nice hotel, but the room we had was very large, no paintings on the wall and no full length mirror in the room! They advertise you get a welcome drink, we did not get one, they advertise there is a happy hour, there was not, the lobby has a pool table in the lobby but other then breakfast there was never really anyone in the lobby Breakfast choices were just ok and this was the most expensive hotel I have ever stayed at! You get to use the amenities at The sister hotel The Wave but would have rather stayed there as the amenities are better and maybe they have a cocktail hour and welcome drink. The service was good but it's probably a bit better at The sister hotel!
