- Kathleen (8/5): Excellent value, basic accommodation on a busy highway. - Very basic but fine for a one night stay. Very friendly hosts. Comfy bed. Noise from the highway.

First room smelled straight like weed an cigarettes, moved us to another room was a little better. But then a guy came out of his room walking back a forth, yelling pet names at people a was making the environment very uncomfortable & due to that we left.

The smart TV was also updated, & the staff were actually really sweet & professional... I will definitely refer Howards Inn to anyone who's seeking a quiet, comfortable, & affordable hotel anytime. I enjoyed the peacefulness, the smart TV, the cool air conditioner, & the affordable price.. Most of all I really loved the convenience of having a casino/ truck stop directly next door.

- Marilyn (9/5): Superb - Very friendly, helpful staff. Room had a refrigerator and microwave, but was otherwise very basic. The place was exceptionally clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Made use of the covered bbq and picnic area and the washer and dryer on site for guests. Great value, good location. Would definitely stay here again. The carpet is very old and should definitely be replaced.

- Lisa (1/5): Bad - The lady at front desk was very rude at first I had booked my room so when I got there she accused me of smoking marijuana which I don't I was around someone who did I assure her we was going to be smoking marijuana in her room and I was there just needing a room because I'm from Texas and was there because my grandma just died well she asked how many people was gonna be staying I said 2 but me being so distraught from funeral I forgot I had my little nephew so I went back in there and told her to add another person she was rude saying how could I forget a baby and didn't want me to stay there because I had already lied I told her I forgot and I did come back and tell her and then room was already paid for and I couldn't afford another room she said well then take yourself back to Texas so then I begged her please she finally let me stay there but all that trouble for a room there the beds were uncomfortable and there is no rail to hold on to to get in the room very dangerous easy to fall especially I have knew problems good location but I should have stayed back at the motel 6 in opelousas because was cheaper and nicer

Only thing was they need to fix the crack open in the door to outside..when you inside you could see outside in the crack by the door handle..me and my sister was kind of scared if Bugs will get in while we sleep..other then that it was clean and nice

- Joseph (10/5): - My stay at the Howard’s Inn Motel far exceeded my expectations. First, the front desk staff members were incredibly friendly and helpful. Second, the bed was very comfortable. The picture on Expedia shows older style bedding, but the bedding was actually the newer style white comforter and sheets. They were very comfortable. Third, the shower had great water pressure. Fourth, the room was very clean. I’ll be in town several times this month and am genuinely excited for subsequent stays at the Howard’s Inn Motel!

- Patricia (4/5): - The place was roach infected. The smell was horrible. Television didn't work. Don't have to worry about me making reservations for that place.
- Shelly (2/5): - After being there only a couple of hours Bed Bugs started crawling around on the bed, and we noticed blood spots on the sheets. As I am highly allergic to insect bites and stings I am glad I saw them before we turned out the lights and went to sleep! We immediately packed our bags and turned in the room keys!
- Verified traveler (2/5): What a dump! - This is the only place we could find due to hurricane evacuation. It was obvious the room had not been cleaned for who knows how long. The refrigerator was filthy as was the entire room and it smelled bad. The phone cord was broken so we had to walk down to the office to get a replacement cord.

Room looks nothing like picture.

There was blood stains on the underside of bedspreads, stained blankets, stained and holy towels and washclothes, burn marks in the tub,stained toilet, dead roaches on bathroom floor and a non-working telephone. I'd rate this hotel a -0.

Reaked of cigarette smoke in a non smoking g we ask for. No coffee pot, huge nasty stain on ottoman and chair. Needs to be closed and re done. Neg 0 rating

- F Noel (6/5): Not 5-Star Accomodations but Perfectly Serviceable - The room had a musty smell from not being opened up often enough, but was otherwise perfectly clean and serviceable. This is hardly a 5-star hotel, but the staff was friendly and accommodating, the sheets were clean, and there was plenty of hot water and water pressure.
