Absolutely fantastic hosts who really make you feel welcome in a totally natural way, not that horrible forced/fake way you get in some places. As others have said, the breakfast would beat any 5 star hotel hands down, you won't need lunch! The room (Summer Breeze) was very comfortable, good comfy bed, lovely powerful shower, soft towels, lovely view from the room, we honestly could not find any fault. Free parking in the road in front of the house for 2 hours during the day, and from 4pm you can leave your car there FREE until 10,00am next morning.

Gute Tipps zu Restaurants, Wanderungen etc. Sehr umfangreiches, frisches und leckeres Frühstück, das man sich ganz nach Wunsch zusammenstellen kann. Wunderschöne Möglichkeiten zum Wandern direkt ab Haus. Nichts auszusetzen.

The breakfast was exceptional. The room was just a little too small and the shower pressure was not very good. But that does not detract from the wonderful stay. .

There was easy access to Lynton, Lynmouth and other tourist attractions. It was within easy walking distance of various pubs and restaurants. We didn't find anything that we didn't like.

- Bernhard (10/5): Best B&B ever! - This is probably the best B&B I've ever been to. The room was cozy with a nice view, the village is beautiful and close to the B&B (yet it's still very quiet at night), the hosts are most welcoming and helpful, the breakfast is phantastic. We could select what we wanted the day before and the selection is awesome. Fruit and cooked breakfast freshly prepared. There are beautiful hikes so close that you do not have to get in the car. The village is lovely with everything you need.

Thankyou so much. - The hotel was an absolute guesthouse gem in Lynton, Devon and the hotel and town are a slice of heaven tucked away in the heart of Devon. The hosts were absolute legends. Warm, welcoming, and so genuinely kind—these folks know how to make you feel at home. It’s clear they take great pride in their beautiful guest house, and every little detail reflects this. From the cozy, absolutely spotless rooms to the charming decor, it’s obvious this is a place that’s been crafted and maintained with love, detail and absolute care. As for the facilities, everything was top-notch. The comfortable beds that felt like a cloud or the perfectly-equipped bathroom (hello, fluffy towels and great power shower pressure!), we had everything we needed for a really relaxing stay. Breakfast also amazingly good. Everywhere so spotlessly clean too. Lynton itself is just magical. The town’s charm is something straight out of a storybook. Nestled on the edge of National Park, the dramatic cliffs and lush green hills left us speechless. A real breath of fresh air for the soul and adventure. Loads of great places to eat and drink, also recommend the Victorian rail cable car to explore Lynmouth at the bottom. And the traditional cinema and town hall craft fayre and all the amazing shops. All in all, our experience here was nothing short of fantastic. If you're looking for a place that offers comfort, kindness, and a true taste of Devon’s magic, this is it. We’ll definitely be back. The location is lovely, with beautiful surroundings and easy access to all that Lynton has to offer. Penny and Drew were fantastic hosts, giving great guidance about the local area and helping us make the most of our visit. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere made it a pleasure to stay here. A fabulous place to stay when visiting Lynton – highly recommended! All good!

- Diana (9/5): Zu empfehlende Unterkunft in schöner Umgebung in Devon - Die Lage ist sehr gut. Alle Restaurants in Lynton sind zu Fuß zu erreichen. Man kann ebenfalls in 15 Minuten zu Fuß nach Lynmouth runter gehen, das direkt am Meer liegt und mit der Zahnradbahn zurück nach Lynton rauffahren. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut und die Gadtgeber sind sehr nett und haben viele Tipps parat. Wir hatten ein Dreibett-Zimmer mit einem Doppelbett und einem kleinen abtrennbarem Extrabereich für das Einzelbett. Das Doppelbett war für unseren Geschmack mit ca. 140 cm zu klein zumal auch nur eine Bettdecke in der Größe vorhanden ist.

They made my stay very comfortable and provided me with everything I needed after a long day of walking. Breakfast in the lovely dining room was just great! Fresh fruit, Greek yoghurt, muesli, eggs, etc. And of course plenty of tea (or coffee) to suit your taste. Thank you for having me! Die Gastgeber waren super freundlich und das Zimmer/Bad waren sehr sauber. Parkplatz ist hinter dem Haus ist vorhanden. Die Lage ist idealer Ausgangsort für Lynton und Wanderungen in der Nähe. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten, das für 2 Erwachsene etwas eng war. Bei der Buchung deshalb die Zimmergröße beachten.

The room we were given was so very small that you could barely walk around the bed and the walls. They seemed to take a very small room, put a bed in it and say that was a valid room for a stay. Absolutely no room for 2 pieces of luggage. A bed with walls around it… disappointing.

Drew and Penny are fantastic hosts and clearly care about keeping guests happy , they have a great knowledge of the local area and nothing was too much trouble The house interior looks fantastic and is a credit to their hard work renovating the property . Breakfast is to die for , it was all freshly cooked and local produce , we had no complaints and the dining room had a really pleasant atmosphere . We would recommend to anyone going to Lynton for a short stay and we will definitely be going back to South View on our next stay in Lynton . 10 out of 10 ! Will

Room was immaculately decorated, very well presented, and perfect size for two people. Bed was comfortable with a good supply of bedding and pillows. Cleanliness was obvious throughout. Hosts were polite, informative and friendly. Breakfast was outstanding with a good range of choice and high quality ingredients and presentation. Absolutely nothing-if we come back to Lynton, we will be coming back here without even considering anywhere else.

- Martin (10/5): Unser bisher bestes BnB - Der Hausherr hat uns persönlich und sehr freundlich empfangen. Wir hatten das Dreibettzimmer in zweiten Stock, das Einzelbett steht in einem separaten kleinen Zimmer. Sehr sauber und sehr stilvoll eingerichtet. Nachts ist es trotz der Lage an der Straße sehr ruhig, so dass man mit offenem Fenster schlafen kann. Sehr große Auswahl beim Frühstück, hervorragende Qualität, reichhaltig und stilvoll serviert. Besser geht es nicht. Parken kann man von 16:00 bis 12:00 am nächsten Tag direkt vor der Haustüre auf der Straße, ansonsten gibt es auch zwei private Parkplätze der Unterkunft. Das Valley of Rocks ist bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Wir hatten nichts zu bemängeln.

- Sophie (10/5): Welcoming, clean, comfortable. Amazing location. - We had a wonderful room in this perfectly located guest house. It had a great separate connected room for our son. Penny and Drew were really welcoming and so helpful for advice on good walks and what to do and where to eat. The breakfast was really fantastic and plenty of it. A really comfortable couple of nights. Thankyou for hosting us!
