- Maria (8/5): Nice resort near a very good beach. - Location is great. the island is very safe. The beach at the resort was great. There is a restaurant attached to the resort. staff was very friendly. Resort is beautiful and well maintained outside condos. The condo where we stayed was very nice. Beds were great. Kitchen equipped well, utensils and plates are for 4 people. So, it was hard to host guests for dinner. Outside resort the area is a bit rundown. For example, stairs to the beach are damaged and railing is rusted.

- MaryBeth (5/5): Beautiful location BUT - Excellent location. Nice having two restaurants nearby. Access to nice beaches. Almost cancelled because of the government shutdown but I couldn't get the office staff to respond to my repeated inquiries about getting a refund. We had already paid them and even though Booking.com offers a free cancellation, I wasn't confident that I would get refunded. They owed me one nights fee and wanted to pay cash upon arrival. When I asked that they credit my credit card, they said my card was declined (even though I had been using it and the Bank denied any problems on their end) The unit was in disrepair even though the location was beautiful. You had to use the key in the door to lock it at night creating a fire trap. The stairs were dangerous. No soap or shampoo. Too many minor things to list. Didn't care for the decor. Furniture old and in disrepair. Screens in doors patched instead of replaced after multiple tears. I could go on and on. Not enough outlets. Bedside light had cord. No outlet.

- Tanja (9/5): Traumhafte Aussicht und Entspannung pur - Beim Frühstück auf der Terrasse konnten Delfine beobachtet werden. Abends der schönste Sonnenuntergang- direkt vor der Tür. Der Pool war hübsch angelegt und die Liegen versprachen Entspannung pur. Leguane, Komibris, Zuckervögel und ein paar Ziegen und Katzen besuchten uns wiederholt. Von hier aus kann man die schönsten Strände und auch die Naturschutzgebiete perfekt anfahren. Die Möbel sind bereits etwas in die Jahre gekommen
- Juan (10/5): Alojamiento ideal para estar cerca de las mejores playas del norte de la isla. - Si bien la recepción funciona en un horario muy reducido, cuando están, la atención de Diamanta, su novio Yuri y Peter al momento del check out fue excelente. No hay limitaciones de hora para el uso de piscina, siempre que después de determinada hora no se haga . No llegamos a usar los servicios de playa porque fuimos fuera del horario, ya luego de la puesta del sol. Excelente ubicación para hacer para que sea la base de ir a playas cercanas del norte, las más bonitas de la isla. estuvimos cinco días, luego tres más en un hotel en Willemstad, para conocer la capital y alrededores. Al llegar no teníamos claro como abrir el portón. No nos mandaron indicaciones de como acceder al estacionamiento. Podrían haber enviado una clave temporal por correo. De todos modos no es algo que empañe la excelente atención y estadía en ese alojamiento.
- Kelly M (10/5): - Walk to the beach! Easy drive to all things in Curacao. Quiet area. We stayed in Type F unit #11 3 bedrooms. Livingroom and patio furniture need to be updated as they are quite old with sagging wicker. Restaurant onsite and across the road were both good with friendly staff! Refreshing outdoor shower and pool for returning from beaches. Beautiful sunsets!!! I will definitely book here again!!!
- Ryan Scott (2/5): - Do not stay here. We were here for 8 nights and at least unit 9 was a complete dump. All the furniture was falling apart and the beds were some of the most uncomfortable beds I have slept on in my 44 years. There was construction every morning that would start around 6 a.m. until early afternoon. The furniture on the back porch and balcony were old plastic chairs and falling apart or really old wooden furniture with the cushions smelling like mold. The pool was not well taken care of and half the time I saw the people staying there cleaning the leafs and debris out of the pool. This place is not worth your money please find somewhere else to stay. Oh ya the lagoon part of the beach/ocean has standing sewage not far away that you can smell even if the wind is not blowing your way.
- Richard (10/5): - Nice place would stay again. The only strange thing was they charge for A/C. So we only ran it in the bedroom for 3 days and the bill was 6 dollars. You need a car at the West end of the Island. Restaurant menu is limited but fine. The restaurant across the street I would skip. TV didn't work but we enjoyed not having it. The onsite Dive shop was helpful. Beautiful views and we enjoyed our stay.
- isimpo (10/5): Back in snorkel paradise again! - We stayed here 6 years ago and loved it so much that we're back again in 2025. Youri gave us the warmest welcome and made us feel at home the moment we arrived! We rented the same corner unit (unit G or # 13 called Sea Star ) with a panoramic view and private entry down the cliff to the ocean. To our pleasant surprise, some parts of the unit have been renovated, including changing the railing with glass panels on the second floor balcony so that we could take in the breathtaking view. The kitchen has been renovated and stocked with new pots and pans and anything you could think of to cook up a gourmet meal. I could see from our villa when the local fishermen were returning to the beach, so I would just walk down and bought fresh fish from them, and cooked them at the unit. Even though it was the most expensive rental in the complex, it was totally worth it. For that price, we enjoyed the best sunset view and the only private entrance to the ocean in the complex. I just jumped into the ocean and snorkeled in paradise while my husband lazed in our private nook at the multi-tiered platforms. There were lots of fish and live coral right in front of the villa, and it was a very short swim to the lagoon and the beach where the snorkeling was also amazing. I have gone to many beaches on the island, and the snorkeling right in front of our villa proved to be the best! The only drawback is that more people this time climbed onto our diving platform and used it as their own, and sometimes coming up the stairs and onto our patio as if it's public property. Maybe a big private property sign right at the platform by the water would help deter trespassers. We ate many times at the Bahia Restaurant many times as the view was gorgeous and the food was great. We were usually tired by the end of the day, and that little shortcut from the resort to the restaurant was so convenient. I must thank all the staff at Lagoon Ocean Resort and the Bahia Apartments & Diving for such a wonderful time. If we were to come back to Curacao again, this would definitely be our haven again!
- OkayestTravellerEver (10/5): Terrific apartment! - Great apartment, beautifully decorated and awesome location! The interior is so cute, with lots of art and tons of seating for guests. The patio has a great view. There are delicious restaurants nearby too. And of course, it’s so close to Playa Lagun! The beach is great, with lots of fish and coral for snorkelling. There are even some underwater caves if you’re feeling brave! All in all, this is a fantastic place to stay in Curacao!

Pool was comfortable. Ice maker worked well. Clean property. Our room was very run down. The microwave stopped working and no one came to repair/replace. Beds were not super comfortable. No top sheets. Comforter was very small.

- lref1 (6/5): Bare bones operation - This resort has the makings of a great place to stay, but unfortunately they have missed the mark. The buildings are of a good design. But the owners have cheapened the place to a bare bones operation. We did not mind paying for air conditioning but the owners could have made the entire building more comfortable by installing ceiling fans in the rooms. The kitchen was minimally outfitted with barely enough utensils. There was no bath soap or shampoo provided. No paper towels, no toaster, no pen, no paper. The place was absent the little touches that you would find in most other resorts. There wasn't even enough coffee filters for the whole week. I think from this recipe you get the idea of how cheap the owners are. There are better places to stay. Also the food at their restaurant was not the best. Go to the restaurant across the street. The cook there cares about the food he prepares. It is unfortunate as the location and views were the best. This place has so much potential and it is sad that it is so badly run.

- Road42128825675 (8/5): A nice place to stay - We just got back from a week at Ocean Lagoon Resort. The resort was well kept and secure. We had a great time. The view from our condo was spectacular and the kitchen unit we had had all the things you would need. Lots of green iguanas though, but they will not hurt you. They were nice to see. Peter, the resort manager was easy to speak to and attended to our needs immediately. A three minute walk to Lagun beach were snorkelling was good. We would return.

It is a perfect location away from the busy capital, cruise ship passengers, and other tourists. The 3 bedroom bungalow was perfect size. We had a beautiful view of the lagoon/ocean with a patio and balcony. The many tropical birds and friendly iguanas visited the area around our bungalow, making it feel like we were in a tropical rain forest. We visited many beaches north of the lagoon, however we snorkeled in the lagoon many times and saw sea turtles, eels and many tropical fish. The swimming pool looked very nice, however we spent all our time at the beach. We ate at the resort restaurant several nights, and my favorite was the pumpkin pancakes and frozen pina coladas. We also ate at the restaurant across the street several nights, and loved their fish & chips. I will absolutely be staying at the Lagoon Ocean Resort on my next trip back to Curacao next year.

We visited many beaches north of the lagoon, however we snorkeled in the lagoon many times and saw sea turtles, eels and many tropical fish. The swimming pool looked very nice, however we spent all our time at the beach. We ate at the resort restaurant several nights, and my favorite was the pumpkin pancakes and frozen pina coladas. I was already planning my trip for next year before we even got on the plane to head back home to Montana. I will absolutely be staying at the Lagoon Ocean Resort on my next trip back to Curacao, and we plan on making this a yearly trip.

The daily delivery of fresh bread and croissants was a nice start to the day. The pool didn’t appear to be cleaned on a daily basis . The service in the Bahia Restaurant was awful. We had to ask for the menu. Ask to order. Ask twice for water. The food was lovely but the staff were not interested in us as customers. We felt like an inconvenience as they stood and chatted at the bar and ignored us completely. We only ate there once on a 4 night stay and would have eaten every night had we felt welcome.

- Sharon (7/5): Nice location, rooms can be improved. - Great location overlooking one of the best beaches on the island. Beautiful snorkeling right off shore. The studio apartments were directly in front of the pool, so a good location on the property too. The restaurant had nice sunsets with good drinks, the food was just so-so. We rented two different apartments - 7B and 7C. 7B left A LOT to be desired. It was on the bottom floor, but just was not very functional. Although there was a small kitchen, there was no kitchen table or anywhere to eat. If you touched the refrigerator without shoes on, you would get an electric shock, and the sliding door leading out to the pool would not open and close properly or lock. Also, there were SO MANY ANTS. Luckily, 7C was much nicer, with a better kitchen area, including a kitchen table, a fridge that did not shock you, a door that opened and closed, and no ants. So we did all cooking and eating upstairs. If you are unlucky enough to get 7B, beware - ask for a refund and go somewhere else or hopefully the owners have made some adjustments and make it better.
- Krishna (8/5): Enjoyed My Stay - I really like this area with the beach at the bottom of the cliff. The 3C bus takes you into Willemstad for 2$ US. You need exact change. You can also stop off at other beaches. Check the bus schedule online. Its every 2 or 3 hours, depending on the day. Best thing to do is rent a car if you wish to travel around. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch & dinner however its expensive. There is another restaurant down by the beach and a small shop down the street (go left, pass the church). They serve Indonesian & Chinese food at a very reasonable price. I was able to eat one meal twice. There is a microwave, fridge and cutlery in the room. Staff were very accommodation and I really enjoyed my stay. I wish I could have rented a car for one day only to drive around the island. The minimum is 3 days.

Any other negative I think can be summed up by just clarifying this isn't a resort, you are renting someone's townhome/condo and should expect as such (extra cost for AC, coffee etc).

- FriskyFrisco (4/5): FALLING INTO DISREPAIR!!! - I've been going to Lagoon Ocean Resort for about 10 years now. The ocean views are absolutely beautiful and the snorkeling is amazing. Unfortunately, the property needs a lot of repairs and updating. But, before I point out the negatives, let me share with you some of the positives. The onsite restaurant offers delicious food and drinks. Prices are reasonable, too. The staff that work there are super friendly. It also offers more of those beautiful ocean views Curaçao is known for. Do make it a point to dine there at least one night. Location is in a quiet residential neighborhood. It's about a 45 minute drive from the airport and a car is required. AC works wonderfully and is refreshing after spending the day out in the water. But just remember, the AC usage you have to pay for when you leave. It's not free. Now as far as the rental units, that's where improvements are desperately needed. Microwave was broke and not working. Pots and pans were all scratched up with not much nonstick surface left. Sliding glass doors are hard to pull and the screens fall off when trying to move them. One of the lounge chairs had a broken leg making it unusable. Furniture is old. There is no cable with the TV and you probably can only get 1 or 2 channels with poor reception. There is only one local radio station that comes in on the radio, but it's mostly all talk. Neighboring residents are not friendly and always give you a frown even when you try to say HI. Grill is ready to fall apart any minute it's so rusty making it unthinkable to have a cookout. People snorkeling keep coming onto your property like it's their own using your space as a diving platform. Lights are burnt out and bulbs are never replaced. Gate lock to your deck is broke and anyone can enter your property whenever they choose. If you mention any of the problems to the manager, Peter, he's grumpy and offers little assistance. Instead of fessing up and admitting that things are getting old and worn out, he blames you for breaking them. The ladder to climb up and out of the ocean must have been destroyed during a storm, but never replaced making it impossible to get out of the water. You can see the ladder on the bottom of the ocean if you look down while snorkeling. Now they were kind enough to attached a rope to pull yourself up and out of the water, but even I couldn't do it and I'm in good shape. Instead, you got to swim to the beach and take the long walk around the property to get back to your room. The gate access to leave the property by car was broke meaning you had to get out of your car, open the gate with your hands, drive through, stop again and exit your car to close the gate. That really left me feeling unsafe and unsecure on the property. I didn't like that feeling knowing I was in a foreign country and was leaving behind valuables in our unit. Let's not mention the responsibility for a car rental I had! For the price you pay to stay here, you would think they'd invest some of that money and do some real repairs. But, they don't. Yes, there's a great view from your unit, but the views are free anywhere on the island. And before you think about making a reservation, look at the cancelation policy! Anything up to 60 days prior to arrival and the fee is 25% of the cost of your entire stay. That means pretty much all of your 33% deposit won't be refunded. Pandemic or no pandemic. Death in the family. You name it. There's no exceptions. Anything less than 60 days and the percentage goes even higher depending on the days it is prior to arrival. Just make sure you think things out before booking at this place. It could end up costing you a huge chunk of money to cancel in the long run. Like I said, I've always loved this place for its views and snorkeling. But the way this property is being managed and falling into disrepair, it's just not enjoyable anymore. This was and will be my last stay at this place.
- Xcski441 (8/5): Flip flop days - We had visited Lagun Beach in December and noticed the buildings on the cliff above the bay so when we extended our stay in Curaçao booked six nights at Lagoon. Had an ocean view and listened to the waves, felt the cool breezes, watched the birds fly past, and watched the iguanas crawl along the stone walls. A lovely setting and a basic but comfortable apartment with a usable kitchen and two terraces. Spent one flip flop day where between walking to the nearby restaurant and down the stairs to the beach I only wore flip flops when I wasn’t bare foot. Did I mention the beautiful sunsets
- UC2002 (10/5): Simply wonderful! - A greatly located hideaway close to decent beach and restaurant. Lot’s of Iguanas and sometimes you can spot two turtles of your porch - as long as you book lagoon-side Appartement. Nice people, too, and garden in good shape!

- David (8/5): Wonderful sea and sunset views - We stayed in an apartment facing the ocean and the sunset (great view). Apartment was privately owned (and let when owner not in residence). It was a bit 'tired' and over furnished. Good air-con (pay when used) and wi-fi. Secure parking. Located in a popular gated complex (all private apartments) with small shared pool close to 2 other complexes including Bahia Apartments (which included a dive shop and 'standard fare' restaurant with themed evenings). The Managers of Bahia (very friendly and helpful) also oversaw the letting of Lagoon Ocean Resort. Complex overlooks Lagun beach - this is popular with divers and snorkellers; very pretty but, again, a little 'tired'. Good proximity to other, nicer beaches at west end of Island for which a car is essential.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - If you plan on snorkeling/diving this the place for you, other than that there's no real reason to be in lagun. Theres a couple restaurants in the area but as far as grocery stores, make sure you go shopping before you drive out. Very basic rooms, and it was a little weird to have nothing complimentary (ie, coffee, soap, shampoo ) so again, come prepared. The kitchen was a descent set up for cooking and a full fridge. The king bed in my room was just 2 cots pushed together, and as hard as the floor, definitely had a tough time sleeping. AC worked well for the bedroom, but the rest of the apartment was pretty hot, and you get charged for your usage. I was there for 4 nights and used it fairly liberally, only 9 bucks. Basic menu at the restaurant but food and service was good. So overall i recommend this place to those intent on water based activities, but those looking for night life and a little hustle, not for you :)

Apartment could use better maintenance (running toilet, broken umbrella), I would expect this type of condition from a property in the Carribean, but did not expect it from a property managed by Dutch natives.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastic beach, good value for your money - Great stay, fantastic location, very good value for your money (at least at the rate I paid). The apartments are very close to one of the most beautiful and scenic beaches I’ve ever seen: Playa Lagun. Some apartments have a direct ocean view, in others you just need a few steps to see the ocean/beach. You will need a car here, as the place is very far from Willemstad and from most restaurants and supermarkets (I would recommend a car in Curacao anyway). A car will also allow you to go to other great beaches which are a short driving distance from the property. There is a decent bar/restaurant in the property that is open from breakfast in the morning to dinner until 10pm. From the restaurant, you will have the best spot to take great pictures of the beach : ) Regarding the apartments, do not expect luxury, but the one we stayed in did have a good regular-sized refrigerator, a stove, a coffee kettle, an electric oven etc.
- PathToEnlightenment (10/5): Playa Lagun Relaxation - Wife and I spent five days in unit 10A. This unit was an ocean front property with an outside patio area both downstairs and upstairs. Beautiful views! Clean unit with kitchenette and two bathrooms. Community pool was just steps away and very relaxing. Playa Lagun beach was just a five minute walk away where you could snorkel from the beach. Very nice tropical fish population and reefs scattered throughout the cove. Residents of the resort had free access to beach chairs. Nearby were two restaurants, also five minutes away. Parking was free and gated. The value you get for renting here is the best in my opinion. I highly recommend and will be returning again.
- Ahren (10/5): The perfect getaway - Lagoon Ocean Resort is absolutely phenomenal. We stayed in a 1 bedroom with a sea view. It was overlooking the water, and we could watch the sunset every night right from our deck. The Bahia bar is about 100 feet from the lodging and has excellent food and cocktails. Playa Lagoon rests directly below and offers white sand, sun, and excellent snorkeling opportunities! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, we are already planning a return trip!

Studio al piano terra, con vista piscina, silenzioso, con angolo cottura ben fornito, frigo-congelatore, articoli per la pulizia, strofinacci, asciugacapelli, stendibiancheria, ecc. Parecchie zanzare nonostante le zanzariere, non c'è la TV, ma ci sono libri in italiano, giochi da tavolo e.... il paesaggio e la natura. Consigliato fare la spesa ai supermercati di Willemstad prima di arrivare.
- isimpo (10/5): Snorkeling in paradise..we will be back! - My husband and I stayed at unit G (Unit 13) called Sea Star at Lagoon Ocean Resort in Curacao. It was the corner unit with a panoramic view and private entry down the cliff to the ocean. Even though it was the most expensive rental in the complex, it was totally worth it. For that price, we enjoyed the best sunset view and the only private entrance to the ocean in the complex. I just jumped into the ocean and snorkeled in paradise. There were lots of fish and live coral right in front of the villa, and it was a very short swim to the lagoon and the beach where the snorkeling was amazing. I took lots of beautiful video and pics with my waterproof camera. I even saw an octopus, and turtle but too bad didn't bring my camera that time. I brought my own fishing rods, and fished from the private deck, chatted with fishermen passing by and they even gave me some free bait to use. They have a bbq that you can cook your own catch, but we couldn't be bothered and just released back to the ocean. It was for the fun of it. The fishermen anchored their boats not too far from the villa and you can buy their fresh catch at the beach when they return. As for the villa itself, here are some pros and cons: Pros: 1. Perfect location! I love the short walk to the beach and the restaurant. Drivable to many beaches. Free parking is convenient. 2. Private cliffside entry to ocean! I booked unit 13 for the private entry to the ocean. The different tiered decks were perfect for fishing and diving into the ocean for snorkelling. It was swimmable to the lagoon and the ocean side was calm without waves. 3. Snorkelling was amazing! Even better than my trips to Tahiti and the Great Barrier Reef, and just outside my villa! 4. Beautiful setting! The villa was perfect for just the two of us, lots of inside and outside space, and different shaded and open areas for enjoying the gorgeous sunset and breathtaking ocean view. There were many private nooks where we could relax and feeling that we were the only ones on the island. 5. The unit's kitchen was sufficiently stocked. We only made breakfast there but other families can probably cook lunch and dinner there. BBQ was available, though we didn't use it. Very convenient. 6. Unit was nicely decorated and clean. 7. Gated compound. It felt safe staying here. 8. Service was great...from check in, to towel change, check out. All smooth and efficient. Cons: 1. Couple of the faucets were broken and needed to be opened in a special way. 2. Venting in master ensuite was poor 3. Keys were missing or not working for some patio doors. Some screens were missing or stuck. 4. Pool table shown on listing photo was missing This turned out to be one of my most favourable sun and sand trip, and ranks all the way up there with Tahiti. With a much shorter flight from Canada to Curacao than the Oceania islands, I will definitely be back soon!

- dugann2019 (10/5): Terrific place to stay on wonderful snorkeling beach! - We stayed here for 2 weeks in February 2019. Check-in was easy. We had a garden view unit, within steps to the pool and the Bahia Restaurant. Short walk to Lagun Beach. The grounds and plantings were very lovely and well-maintained. With kitchen facilites, we had breakfast, lunch, and some dinners in. We had some great meals at Bahia Restaurant, including the Thursday night BBQ. The wait staff were friendly, helpful and prompt. it would be nice if the wine list had more variety. Although we visited a couple other beaches, we liked Lagun the best. The snorkeling was consistently good every day. We would definitely go back again.

Het biedt de mogelijkheid om lekker op het eigen terras een boek te lezen of aan het zwembad van de zon te genieten. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Dat geldt ook voor het restaurant. De georganiseerde donderdagavond met BBQ of lokale gerechten vonden wij een succes. Verder is LOR een uitstekende uitvalsbasis om het noordelijke deel van Curacao te verkennen en te zwemmen en te snorkelen in de baai!
- 418tonyl (10/5): Snorkeling Heaven - I picked LOR after touring the Island last year and found it was the best spot for snorkeling. I arrived after 5pm so reception was closed (9am -1pm). You will need a key code to get into the car park. The welcome email directed me to the bar to checkin. The checkin was friendly and I was shown my ocean view apartment which had stunning views of the sunset (12B). The apartment had all the items for cooking. A coffee machine using pods, microwave, toaster, kettle and a large fridge freezer. The water is drinking quality. The only problem is the wifi signal. Often drops out in my room. Better signal at the pool and best at the bar/restaurant. I visited many of the surrounding beaches but none compared to the Lagoon here. The fireworks on New Year were stunning and there is a BBQ every Thursday. Happy Hour is on Monday. There was always a catch of the day at the restaurant although this was closed on New Years day. There are a few food markets close by and often open after 3pm. I attached a photo of the turtle visiting the bay.

- southchinasea (10/5): Best place we found on the island - and we researched EVERYWHERE! - We stayed at an AirBnB apartment in Lagun Ocean Resort for 9 nights in November, and had a truly memorable stay - one of our best ever, and we have literally travelled the world and stayed in all kinds of places. Ours was a full-on ocean view facing due West, and the views were absolutely stunning. Absolutely NOTHING to obstruct the view all the way to the horizon. The apartments on either side of us were empty at that time, and it felt like we were the only people on earth for most of the time. The resort itself is moderately sized, built around a large clean pool, on the North side of Lagun "bay". It is about a half-hour drive from Willemstad and although there's a bus service it's not frequent, and you will need to rent a car if you plan to go anywhere. The bay is breathtakingly beautiful, both above and below the water. But the water, at least when we were there, is crystal clear and we could easily see maybe 50 feet in any direction once a little way out from the shore. As for the coral in the bay, and the variety and number of incredible tropical fish are like nothing I have ever seen in some of the world's best snorkeling spots. But you do need to go out maybe 100 feet from shore to see the good stuff, though large and colorful fish - including turtles - come incredibly close to shore despite people wading all around. We tried out the nearby beaches of Jeremi and Kleine Knip, and while both have bigger wider and sandier beaches than Lagun, the snorkeling in either of them is nowhere as good. Nowhere near as much coral or fish life. The resort has beautiful landscaping, is very well maintained, and had the appearances of being very secure including non-duplicatable keys, and CCTV cameras. The place is clean tidy and neat. Next door is the clifftop Bahia Restaurant, which we ate and drank at numerous times. Really excellent food and drinks, personable multilingual staff, and no more expensive that what you'd pay back at home, but with an amazing view, and occasional visits by both kittens and iguanas. Only negative comment would be the WiFi, which was very slow and intermittent. Although there are 4 or 5 base stations distributed around the resort, at any given time several would be inaccessible or unresponsive, and one of them never worked the entire time. We found ourselves going over to the Bahia Restaurant when we absolutely needed to get online, where the (free) connection was strong and fast all the time. I'm not sure what the problem is, but it's probably a combination of inadequate bandwidth, and a lot of people trying to get online round the clock. Fast reliable internet access is becoming as important to guests as water and electricity. We wouldn't accept dirty water or inconsistent electricity, and in the very near future people won't accept spotty internet service either. We chose Lagun Ocean Resort after looking at probably EVERY SINGLE RENTAL PROPERTY on the whole island, especially those with an ocean view (which is important to us) and we are very glad to report we made the right decision. If we ever come back to Curacao (and we almost certainly will) we won't bother looking anywhere else.

- Pamela Karyn (8/5): Away from the cruise shippers! - The studio apartment is not comfortable for a couple; two twin beds pushed together. Peter, the property manager was friendly and helpful. Our refrigerator quit working the second to last day. Food in the restaurant is very good, but pricey. Service is slow, but I guess that is to be expected for 'island time'. Overall, the setting is beautiful, and the west end has all the best beaches. If you want to be away from the cruise ships and enjoy nature, this is the place to stay- immersed in nature, with the locals, and Cristoffel park and mountain close by.

- C99G (8/5): Great location! - We did spend here 4 days The location is great, the lagoon beach is a little paradise and great for snorkeling and diving. We did rent the 3 bedroom single home, the views of the ocean are amazing, especially from the top floor balcony. The presence of coconut trees and iguanas on the back yard is a very nice addition that makes the atmosphere natural and peaceful. Seven minutes drive north you have Grote Knip beach which is probably the best beach in Curacao, another little white sands paradise. No real grocery stores nearby so a car is a must. There is a restaurant/bar next to the resort but we did not try it. We don't like to repeat but certainly we would stay there again if needed.
- rick00001967 (8/5): quiet and peaceful - my wife and i spent one week here this month. we had a one bedroom, 2 bath unit over looking playa lagun. absolutely beautiful views. sunsets each night. 2 patios to use. one on ground floor the other off the bedroom upstairs. you can easily walk t the beach in 2 minutes. there are 2 restaurants near by. one right next door. the other across from the beach. this really is not a "resort" as most people would expect. it is more like a group of condos in a semi-secure area. there really are no services on site other than the pool which is the only reason i gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. which is very clean and very nice. it was quite quiet and peaceful while we were there. just what we wanted. we also scuba dive so being able to shore dive right off the beach was a big plus for us. the reef is in excellent condition. the dive shop is right next door. i would def return again
- 808rc (8/5): Wonderful Location, fantastic island. - My wife and I spent an incredibly enjoyable week at LOR for our first trip to Curacao. We stayed in APT 17B overlooking the lagoon. The apt. had a bathroom, full kitchen and living room on the first floor and a large bedroom and bathroom on the second floor. The apt. was clean and fully equipped.There were outside decks on both floors. The view of the lagoon, the beach below and the open ocean were spectacular. We luckily arrived on a Thursday night for the all-you-can-eat BBQ, which was delicious. Peter and Thea couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. It's a short car ride to spectacular beaches (Grote Knip) and fantastic food (Jaanchies, Landhuis Mesje, Sol Food..). The water here is as fantastic as any on Grand Cayman or Turks & Caicos. We did drive down to Willemstad for a day but couldn't wait to get back to Playa Lagun. The snorkeling was the best we have seen. Large schools of remarkably varied fish - a few steps from the apt! The locals we met were very friendly, the dollar is strong, the weather was great. It does seem that the island is going through some tough times economically. They need to hire a better Tourism Board! This place is absolutely wonderful. We are already planning a return trip.

- F7204WFlisam (10/5): Loved Lagoon Ocean Resort! - We had a wonderful one week stay in a one bedroom, oceanfront apartment with amazing views of turquois water! The apartment was basic but clean and comfortable. The cost was very reasonable for the space and views we enjoyed and having a kitchen made our stay even more reasonable. The neighboring Bahia Restaurant and Bar had delicious food with striking views of the lagoon and beach. Peter, Helen and the rest of the Bahia staff were friendly and helpful. The snorkeling was the best at Playa Lagun! I especially enjoyed the Turtles!! I would highly recommend Lagoon Ocean Resort to anyone looking for a reasonable slice of paradise😊

Hope you fixed your air conditioning Mr. Scott McKinsie - Location was fantastic, snorkeling awesome, nearby restaurants friendly with delicious food! but no air conditioning when its over a hundred degrees with high humidity is not so great. Please fix air conditioning Scott. Really needs replacing!
- dmitryk966 (8/5): Nice apartments: close to good beaches but far from Willemstad - We stayed at Lagoon Ocean Resort for 2 weeks in Apt.8C. Apt is on the second floor overlooking pool area and part of the sea. Place is in 2 minute walking distance from Playa Lagun so you can swim every morning without driving first. But still for best beaches you need to drive. A rental car is a must here if you want to do sightseeing, good grocery shopping and gas stations. The Apt itself is good and simple. Don't expect smth extraordinary, but it has all the basic things you need: cooking, washing dishes, a/c. In our apt, a/c was only in the bedroom so cooking in the kitchen sometimes was really difficult cause it gets super hot. The pool is nice, but smells of chlorine. Also in the Apt we killed several cockroaches sometimes even in the dishes. This is needs to be addressed. Otherwise, this looks like a nice safe and calm place to relax and spend your vac. But keep in mind, that if you're staying here, rental car will be needed. Oh yeah, WiFi is available, but sometimes really spotty. For stable connection you'll have to go to the pool area.
- Anders (10/5): - Fin lägenhet med balkong. I blommorna utanför balkongen kunde vi titta på Kollibri fåglarna när de åt nektar samtidigt som vi åt frukost!! Vi hade läge in mot polen men såg havet mellan husen, uppgifterna stämde med det uppgivna i presentationen. Lugn och trivsam miljö ändå nära till stranden. Kan absolut rekommendera detta boende.
- Gabriele (8/5): Posizione eccezionale: consigliato. - Posizione eccezionale. Bellissima la vista su Playa Lagun, raggiungibile attraverso una scala. Resort molto tranquillo. Teli mare a pagamento. L'angolo cottura é funzionale e attrezzato. Ci ritorneremmo.
