Mahesh, our server, was extremely helpful, attentive, and polite throughout our visit. Special mention to Executive Chef Utpal, who personally attended to us and extended warm hospitality.

- abhishekbairagi15 (2/5): Complaint Regarding Extremely Unsatisfactory Stay Experience at Courtyard by Marriott Agra - I am writing to express my extreme disappointment regarding our recent stay at Courtyard by Marriott, Agra. We checked into the hotel on 11th May and had to step out shortly thereafter for some work. Upon returning, we discovered that the air conditioning in our room was not functioning properly and the room was extremely warm. Despite following up three times, a technician was eventually sent, only to inform us that the AC would not cool below a certain temperature. Although the thermostat displayed 22°C, the room remained unbearably hot and we were sweating throughout. When we requested a room change, the staff refused, citing that the hotel was sold out. This ordeal continued until nearly 1:30 AM, during which we had to repeatedly contact the reception and Duty Manager with no meaningful resolution provided. When we requested to speak with the Night Manager, we were informed that he was “busy” with a function at the hotel and did not have time to address guest concerns. While Rajat, the Duty Manager, genuinely tried to assist, he appeared completely helpless due to the lack of support from the management. We were ultimately forced to spend the entire night in a room with a non-functional AC and without even a fan for basic air circulation. This experience was particularly distressing as it caused significant stress and fatigue to our son, who had an important examination the following morning and was unable to sleep properly due to the conditions. The next morning, after repeated follow-ups yet again, we were finally shifted to another room in the afternoon. Although the new room was larger and the AC functioned properly, it was disappointing that no member of the senior management made any effort to check on us, apologize, or even place a courtesy call regarding the incident. To make matters worse, the internet service stopped working thereafter, and despite reporting the issue, the IT personnel who attended were unable to resolve it. This has undoubtedly been one of the worst hotel stay experiences we have ever had. The lack of accountability, poor guest handling, and complete absence of proactive management support is shocking for a property operating under the Marriott brand. I sincerely hope Marriott International takes serious note of the operational failures and service deficiencies at this property and conducts a thorough audit of the hotel.

Hotel charged extra despite booked amount by booking .com.. They even tried to charge onec more, when i was in travelling back, without authenitication of card, which is highly unethical. When protested, they reversed that tarnsaction, Despite followup and conversations and assurances by duty manager , refund information has still not been generated.

Special thanks to Ritik and Saikhom for good service in restsurant and to House keeping manager Rahul for keeping high standards in room cleanliness and making sure we did not lack anything in the room. Saikhom is a very good waiter and always made sure that we had everything we needed. Ritik and Rahul was also a big part in making sure that the service was spot on. The rooms were nice and clean! The food is so good and there is a lot of different options. Will definitely stay here again!

Other people on our tour did have hot water and I believe it was because our room was at the end of a long corridor and the water had cooled by the time it got to us. Not what is expected with this standard of hotel.

It is close to the Taj, though not in the Taj Ganj area but at a short distance (about 2 km to Shilpgram from where electric shuttle takes one to the east gate. The room size is good with adequate storage and seating space; the staff is courteous and helpful. Check-in and check-out were also smooth. The swimming pool is right behind the main lobby and given the glass walls, lacks privacy that it deserves. The linen is good, clean but the towels could do with some improvement. The breakfast buffet menu is huge spread (common with most hotels in this range) with choice ranging from continental to Indian and a variety within that. It may be useful to think if there is some merit in reducing the choice of food items made available for ethical reasons of overconsumption and the problem of food wastage. better management of issues and hotel facilities breakfast room is of highly inadequate size; barely half of the requirement

- Ann (7/5): Reasonably priced but not near shops. - The property is close to the Taj Mahal and the travel agent in the Marriott was very good and accommodating us for a quick tour of the Taj. We felt quite irritated in the restaurant as we had to wait quite awhile to get service. Little things like tea and coffee should’ve been available for Guests not something that you had to ask for and then get too late when you want to leave. It was not a case of that being no staff, the staff were not concentrating on looking for guests that needed something. The other thing was drinks in the restaurant. We had order a drink as soon as we sat down as we had to and then dinner would arrive and the drink wouldn’t come till after dinner. We found that very poor service. The property wasn’t located near shops.

I was offered a change of room but arrived tired and just wanted to sleep. So they said they would spray with room freshener and get a person to check why no hot water. This did not happen ashtray tray removed but water still luke warm, and the room still smells of cigarettes, luckily I'm only here for 2 nights!!

People were going into pool with cotton clothes and without taking showers. I told staff present there to control it but they couldn’t. I suggest hotel to hang few boards to educate about pool etiquette and staff should also have handy small boards of "Dos and don'ts" to handover it over to person preparing to enter pool. —- I think hotel gives bad window room to third party apps bookings. Window view was too bad.
