HeathWagner (8/5): Clean Rooms, but spotty internet on this occasion… - I would like to say I have stayed here before and I love the older/retro vibe of this hotel. Each time I have stayed the front desk employee’s have always been extremely friendly. My room on this visit was great. Very clean and well appointed, minus the height of the shower head. Ha ha. While this was a Saturday night and the parking lot was full I had a horrible time with the Internet. I was able to access earlier in the night at 5 pm but after 9 pm it simply would not let me connect. I kept getting a, “unable to join the network message time and time again and was unable to complete some work on my laptop. Ended up having to complete it when I got back home to Evansville. Hopefully, this was only an issue from the hotel having to many users at one time.

Joseph (6/5): - I had a single bed room for two nights (Room 132) and then a two bed room when my son arrived from the military (Room 114). R oom 132 wasn't up to par: terrible ORANGE PAINT, dirty chair and carpet and a gap under the door a large mouse or ? could run under it. When my son arrived we moved to 114 which was a much better feel. Wood vs carpet, large bath, working tv. Breakfast was skipped after first day: lousy bagels, small selection but good coffee. See above. No room below to finish a sentence, but wanted to say you have a real "gem" in Olivia who went out of her way to accomodate us having a nice room, which gave me an entire different view about returning after room 132. She was willing to get the tv fixed in room 107 before moving us to 114 , showed location of ice area and super friendly. Reward her please!

Staff was all very nice and helpful and the location was really convenient to a lot of IU stuff. We've officially found our spot to stay when we come to town! Shower head was oddly low, but really, otherwise it was a great place!

We thought it would be a full breakfast, but it was not. The selection was lacking. It was basically just oatmeal and toast, with juice, milk and coffee. Otherwise, it was great!! The food selection.

Kinda pricey for the age of the building but price is set more by what’s going on at IU than by the level of - The room was very nice and clean and the location is perfect if you are visiting someone at IU. The TV did not have HDMI inputs and the room that I was in was right near the cobblestone ramp. So when people would pull luggage up and down that ramp, it was very loud.

MARVIN (5/5): Bad experience - Location The hotel is completely deteriorated. Terrible service and safety concerns. A staff member working in our bedroom was extremely unprofessional in appearance and demeanor. As a mother traveling with my daughter, seeing him was terrifying. We felt uncomfortable staying in the room for the remainder of our trip.

pamelarZ8429XR (10/5): Reasonably priced. Clean. Friendly staff. - It was a simple, clean room that was close to our venue and just about everything else it seemed. They provided hygiene samples for showering and plenty of towels, along with a little coffee/tea station. The bed was comfy. It was really all that we needed for an overnight stay at a bargain price. Staff was very nice. Continental breakfast is served in the morning, which included cereals, bagels, pastries/doughnuts, fruit cups, yogurt, coffee, juice, and all the condiments that go with. I would definitely stay there again.
Johnathan (7/5): Value deal, not at the cost of comfort. - It is a great value being north of campus. It is quiet and has a nice bar attached to the hotel. They need to find an indivual who can clean up the concrete with forms. Also, the filters in the Heat/AC need to be changed or the ac recharged.
Pamela (10/5): It's a nice place to stay for a good bargain. - I didn't even realize they offered a continental breakfast when I booked the room. It was very nice. They offered hot beverages, bagels, pastries/doughnuts, fruit cups, yogurt, cereal, and all the condiments that go with. I was very pleased with the lodging for the price. Staff is soooo nice. The bed was comfy. The room was clean with little touches like a small coffee/tea maker, packets of coffee and tea, samples of hygiene products, and lots of towels. It was close to our venue and, it seemed like, everything else in town.

Starla (9/5): Loved it and I will be a repeat customer. - Quiet area right outside Bloomington with only a 10 minute drive to IU campus. Reasonably priced. My only minor complaint is that the outlets in the bedside lamp did not work for my phone and computer charger. This will not keep me from staying again.

Aaron (9/5): Overall the room was excellent beside the bathroom - The room was very pretty and comfy, I loved the look, didn’t smell like smoke as many nonsmoking rooms seem to smell like smoke this room was wonderful , they even provided several tea varieties and real mugs to drink from(and varieties of sugars too) Only issue I had was the tub, I was sick and wanted to rest my achy body and much to my disappointment the tub wouldn’t hold water, it just drained the drain stopped switch seemed to be rusted out and the paint was peeling from the tub as well!

Mary (10/5): Don't let the current exterior dissuade your decision to stay here. - Reasonably priced. VERY pleased. What a charming 50’s retro motel! Comfortable and convenient location. Very friendly front desk staff. Room was clean and comfortable. NO SMELLS! NO carpet in this room (vinyl plank flooring). Good Wi-Fi. TV worked fine. AC cranked out the cold air. Good water pressure. Continental breakfast was good. Cute courtyard with fountain. Adjoining Sleeper's Bar was really enjoyable with very reasonable prices. There is nothing that I did not like.
Krista (8/5): We love the convenience, friendliness of staff, value, and native landscaping to brighten our day. - A great value with friendly staff and more than decent coffee in the morning. We enjoy walking among the native landscaping and playing some corn hole while at the hotel, although we rarely spend much time there when we stay. It is close to parks, downtown, and the IU campus. The room was clean enough and comfortable enough. Some chronic issues like mildew in the shower and a toilet seat that did not fit securely were the only downsides. Really enjoyed the new flooring that is much more clean than the old carpet.

Brandon (10/5): A cute, cozy, hideaway, away from the hustle and bustle of the center of town. - I had a room that faced the back of the property. It was nice and quiet back there. It rained a couple of the days of my stay, and it was pleasant to hear rushing water from in the woods behind the Inn. There were chairs provided for us to enjoy the sounds while under a covered area. They had an inviting courtyard with grill availability. I hate that I didn't have enough time to enjoy it, but it was a nice amenity. While the property was a nice rustic ambiance, I think they may could have improved the landscaping a little bit.
